I am thinking about the @quieteeks robit design sO MUCH 🥲

rudely tweaked the design a little to accommodate some brewing AU hc’s. I like to think that a robot Alan would be some kind of personal protective AI system that essentially lost his previous ‘owner’ due to a tragic accident/ not so accident. Since the loss of owner meant essentially a loss of function, he’s been wandering around the perimeter of his designated territory, and has been protecting the land/ natural wildlife ever since.

some general hc’s:

definitely still feral and a bit of a biter, his social AI algorithm has been fairly overwritten by interactions with animals at this point

that insignia on his chest was built in to indicate functionality. having it stuck on that sign is... not good, to say the least

he doesn’t know jack shit about keeping up on his repairs, so more often than not he goes for a welder when cracks get bad enough or just plain old duct tape if the hole gets too big

he can unhinge his jaw, but he doesn’t actually have to open his mouth to speak

he’s got a carbon fiber frame, so while he’s very strong he’s still quite light, which contributes greatly to his speed

he sparks a lot, especially when he’s angry/ flustered/ generally overwhelmed by emotion. his emotional neural nets have degraded quite a bit and intense emotion quite literally shocks his system

fairly consistently leaks oil from his jaw and mouth, but this gets a LOT worse when MC is around

he’s pretty terrible at hiding his intentions and biding his time. Pretty much from onset of meeting MC he does NOT want them leaving the perimeter and he will slaughter without hesitation to ensure their safety/ remove any perceived ‘threats’ to their staying with him

part of his hair being such a mess has to do with forest living/ lack of upkeep, but the static he’s constantly building up certainly doesn’t help

Still can’t feel pain and his touch sensation system is fairly primitive but his exposed wiring and the inside of his mouth are REAL sensitive
