I think the idea is that this Civil War is East vs. West instead of North vs. South.

But it is cowardly to make an explicitly political movie and intentionally avoid real politics.

If America were to break into a second civil war, which I think is unlikely, it won't be a binary affair like the first one. It'd be a complicated fluid multi-front war like the Syrian civil war.

The eruption of the Kiarden Supervolcano occurred in the year 961 BC, category VEI7, it was the second largest volcanic eruption ever witnessed by man, only behind the eruption of Lake Toba, this eruption was the cause of the almost complete destruction of the ancient Antlantian civilization and the a mini ice age that lasted 450 years. There are no eyewitness records of the catastrophe, only reports from people in Europe regarding severe climate change.

The catastrophe would have started shortly after two massive earthquakes of 8.0 to 9.0 on the continent in the Caldera region, only these earthquakes would have almost completely destroyed the Capital of the empire, hours later, came what was even worse, the entire volcanic complex of Kiarden literally imploded, the deafening sound would have left all inhabitants within a 100 km radius deaf, the pyroclastic cloud would have finished destroying the mythical capital of Atlantis, in a matter of days the ashes of the volcano would have covered the entire continent making it impossible for the passage of sunlight for years .

The damage from this eruption goes beyond what you can imagine, about 95% of the population of the Atlantean continent died, either during the eruption or shortly after, due to food shortages, respiratory diseases, etc., the remaining 5% managed to survive on islands more distant or assimilating in other places, there were also severe effects in europe, with ash fall in the British Isles, western France and even in Nordic regions, cattle raising, hunting and cultivation were severely affected, causing the death of 1/4 of the inhabitants of the mentioned regions and forced migrations of some peoples.
