#imagine being so uncreative you kill off two of your badass female villains in the same way

(No need to answer to avoid drama, saw your post about the comparisons and the BE tag and I need to vent) I haven't watched TDJ but it baffles me that some are saying that the TDJ creators and the BE creators are in the same wave lenght. Because I do know about that "american prison" bit and how the female characters were treated. And to put that at the same level as the care, respect and research done by Kim Soo-Jin and the rest of the crew seems a bit... (Again, not saying by any means that TDJ is bad but that the comparison doesn't seem to hold once one starts looking closer)
As someone who has seen both shows it physically pains me seeing people compare the two and saying they are alike, like I have so much respect for Kim Sujin so I very much agree with you in not liking her being put on the same level as TDJ writer.
The shows aren't even that similar imo, the only thing they have in common are having two male leads, one younger and older where the younger one suspects the older one and having a great OST other than that they are so vastly different in terms of genre and quality. Beyond Evil is based in reality and therefore is more realistic while The Devil Judge plays in a dystopia. BE is by far better written be it in terms of plot, characters and relationships (especially the (b)romance, it's so so so much better developed). Like there is so much more I could say but I'll keep it at that.
TDJ isn't horrible, it has its good parts, like Jung Sunah my queen who hands down was the most interesting and entertaining character in this show, but killing off three major female characters, one for literally no reason (but then her whole character was so unnecessary and I say that as someone who liked her) and two by suicide alogside other things just left a really bad taste in my mouth. I just think the show could have been a lot better than what it was.
