Jude isnt just a strong female lead in the sense of she doesn't need to rely on anyone; she is a strong female lead because she will literally consume a little bit of poison every day in preparation which turns out to be extremely useful when she poisons Madoc's cup as well as hers because she couldn't know which one he would take

Cardan's only hug was after Jude killed Snake Cardan (snardan????) And most people I've seen do fanart of it have Jude as the "weak" one with desperateness and sadness, but I see it as letting Cardan have his moment of weakness. Letting him break down in her arms and she will always be here for him, her being stoic and strong for HIM in that moment

Headcanon: Jude explains the concept of anniversaries to Cardan (immortal fae probably dont see much use of them) but because Cardan loves the human realm he immediately becomes obsessed with them and starts reading up really obscure traditions to impress Jude and on their anniversary Jude sees what he's done and just smiles incredulously because she thought he would find it silly and says "What ????" And he just rants about everything he's learnt and all the things he's planned for them to do for the day

and yes i understand the majority of their relationship involved heated threats and lots of daggers but i can imagine Cardan being an absolute simp for his "Hospitality of Knives" wife and High Queen.

Like Pharma tracks down Megatron all zeal and fury, and he is horrifyingly reminding of Starscream for a moment and demands to join the revolution but also immediately starts repairs offering to fix anyone and upon hearin Megatron’s wish teaches him. He doesn't necessarily soften over time. He's still furiously determined and prickly, but he's protective and slots in as a close friend.

Which is why the Functionist Council when they try to capture them takes Pharma's surrender in exchange for allowing his patients to go and publicly makes an example of him a la Shockwave. Except Pharma has never let anyone tell him anything and Megatron carefully doing the surgery to replace upgrade him slowly as they get parts and Pharma still remaining in his roll and teaching just as many saying Forged hands are a leg up but lack of them prevents no one from being a doctor and proves it as well as continues to teach anyone who asks.

Ok so I have been to the saint louis arch. I’ve gone up inside it’s rickety little metal side in a rickety little metal elevator and stood at the top, with about thirty other people in a claustrophobic room that smelled horrible.

The thing about the St. Louis arch is: it takes a long time for the elevator to get all the way up. Like an atrocious amount of time, and it’s almost pitch black, and it’s a kgksjmbvlahgillion degrees.

Imagine you’re Grover or Annabeth. When the explosion happened, they would have been still in the elevator (which is more like a glorified hamster ball, really). The lights would have shut off, he machines stopped, and both of them would have KNOWN that Percy was in danger. But they were trapped and unable to do anything and so they would have had to just wait as the arch shook with explosions and people screamed and then

It all went still

And the elevator started to move again
