Here is another photo of my Christmas kitty Moonbeam! She looks so pretty with her festive ribbon. Had to snap the photo quick before she got it off this time.
I can’t believe i’ve finished this series! Introducing the thirteenth and final installment of my Colors of Dragon series, the silver dragon, “Power of Lunar Machinery”! This piece took forever with all the detail work I did. I admit I got pretty frustrated sometimes getting it to look how I wanted. So glad it turned out how I wanted!
I would love for you to check it out! Please follow me for some great artwork or check out my website www.imaginemyuniverse.com!
Here is the update of my snowy enfield. The eye and claws are in! Doing the eye was really tricky since it is so small. Had to do a drop here and there with my smallest brush. Need to do the wings and other additional details and then he’ll be complete!
Sometimes I just want to be carefree like a kid again. One of the best ways i’ve found is painting like this! :) Reminiscent of Jackson Pollock, just dribble and fling the paint around. Though no matter what I do it is soooo hard for me to impasto I like to conserve paint to much. Still looking and doing a piece like this makes me smile! ;)
Lately i’ve been enjoying just doing some quick sketches. Here is a one I did with an ink pen. While the perspective isn’t quite what I wanted it turned out well. I’m happy with the elk and frankly I wish I could be in a beautiful landscape like that right now. Hope you all enjoy this type of place as well.
About time science acknowledges this. Horses are way smarter and more emotional then we give them credit. After working with them so much I already found that out. Still I think most animals feel a ton deeper then we acknowledge.
My sister is entering the Anime Banzai mascot contest. The theme is Kaiju. I love the ideas she came up with and thought I would share them. Have to wait to see if she is picked. I wish her luck!
My sketch for the next dragon is complete! This one sure took its time in concept but I think it looks good! Man, I think I use to many exclamation points but hey, i’m excited about this one. Now to get started on the digital painting!
My sketch of my next ink painting. It will be another enfield. I’m looking forward to this one as it will be a little tricky. Moonbeam always likes to hangout when I draw. Here she decided to photo bomb, haha. She has a heart of an artist I guess. ;)
Our little mini Paintbrush cantering around despite the winter snow. She just makes me smile with how energetic she is despite the cold weather. Mini horses are just so cute I need to do a painting of one sometime.
A quick snap of my card I just finished called “Maturing”. I’ve had requests for a wolf card and came up with this piece. Half adolescent, half adult, this card expressing how we grow and change as we get older. It is an ink painting on paper. I’ll post when it is available for purchase! Look forward to it!
Unfortunately I was out last week due to health reasons. I’m back now though and here is my beautiful update! My tiger piece is so close to being done. I’ve been working on this piece off and on, and having it this close to completion makes me so happy! Just the rock on the side and all the touch ups left! Looking pretty good if I say so myself! ;)
Thank you everyone who came and supported us @utahstatefair-blog!! We had a blast chatting and doing art there all day! So proud of my little sister Julia, she is almost done with that pug which was a commission! I ended up making pretty good progress on mine as well! Will unfortunately have to put this demo on hold until I finish my other tiger pastel. No worries though, I’ll get to it! ;)
A drawing from when I was only 5 yrs. old. (top) then one from more recent. I find it always interesting to see where you have come from. I was always drawing as a kid and still doing it now. As a kid I mostly drew horses, cats, dogs, and dolphins. Now I’m doing a larger variety of creatures but still love drawing those four types of animals. I am always improving and growing with my art. Shows with time and practice anything is possible. ;)
