ImaHana is an amazing ship and i take no criticism on that. It's always hilarious to see Hanamiya who is so disrespectful and full of himself being so afraid of Imayoshi what happened during middle school ? Hanamiya became an uncrowned king, but he plays in the same position as Imayoshi who got recruted by Touou. Does it means Hanamiya only became a regular and Uncrowned king in his 3rd year once Imayoshi joined high school? Is that why he is so weird when he talks about Imayoshi, because he used to live in his shadow ? Was Imayoshi the one who taught him how to play so well? So many questions and we will never have the answers.

For Kiyoshi, i know that's a fucked up ship but it's funny so i like it. And Hanamiya is so obsessed with Kyoshi there is literally no way to justify it apart from 'Hanamiya has a crush and is very upset about it'. And Kiyoshi is still so nice to him ? Like why would you be nice to the guy who destroyed your knee twice if you didn't like him. Also Kiyoshi is such a perfect kind guys that it would be funny if his type was 'the biggest asshole around'. They would be horrible for each other though, so i hope for them they'll never be a thing.

Hanamiya and Kentaro make a perfect team and they respect each other a lot. No one else could work so well with Hanmiya. Let's be honest, the only thing that makes Haizaki more annoying than Hanamiya is that at least Hanamiya is nice to his team and they have good teamwork.

the fucked up KNB ImaHana fic I was working on long before the one I actually posted, which started as a fluffy little throwaway about Kazuya Hara wearing skirts and KiriDai being protective of him and ended up turning into a fic about Imayoshi being an absolute creep and sexually harassing him to get a rise out of Hanamiya

snippet:

And so Chekhov's other shoe dropped. Imayoshi caught up in an instant, caging Hanamiya against the doorframe. Hanamiya barely squirmed. He tipped his chin up in a performance of defiance, but Koujirou knew his captain. If he really wanted out, he was plenty capable. Imayoshi knew that too.

If Hanamiya wasn't acting now, there had to be a reason he <i>wouldn't</i> knock Imayoshi's teeth in.

"You enjoy making a fool of me, Makoto. A lovesick one, sure, but a fool nonetheless." He spoke slowly, softly, leaning impossibly further into Hanamiya's space. "I've been very patient with you all these years. I think we can at least be honest with each other."

"<i>Honestly?</i> You're not lovesick, senpai, you're just sick."

A weary hum, with too much familiarity, too much affection for Koujirou's liking. "Such a pretty mouth saying such nasty things."

Hara shifted behind him. Voyeurs or bodyguards. Victims or bait. Imayoshi's hands traveled down, down, and Hanamiya was letting him. Visibly gritting his teeth, but letting him all the same.

"If you're so <i>envious</i>, I'm not the only one who's sick."

2. dissecting the bird (trying to find the song)

DabiHawks fic!!!! and the only multichapter I'm working on. the title comes from a John Craigie song (which is barely relevant unless you squint So hard) and it started in the same collection of BNHA BFRB fics as some (most) of the others on the list

Hawks has dermatillomania (hence dissecting the bird) and refuses to take his uniform off during sex with Dabi on his infiltration-turned-honeypot mission bc of that, partially due to Commission PR training but particularly bc he's afraid Dabi will think he's taking his non-burnt skin for granted

the first two chapters are Hawks' own perspective, and the third gives more insight into how Dabi feels about it

Frankly, he'd resigned himself to a lovely, bitter, sexless marriage to his own right hand before the asshole had sauntered into his life, wasn't sure his medical miracle of a body could handle much more than that. Hawks seemed dead set on proving him wrong. Not sweet, rarely gentle, seeming to sense the hell that Touya would put him through if he treated him like he was made of glass, but a certain respect, reverence even; an acute awareness of some line he couldn't cross, the stupid fucking limits of his stupid fucking body as it ate itself alive. Damn hero.

Probably something they taught at those boot camps they were calling hero schools, right before handing out baby's first phone book and a license to use it as they deemed fit. He hadn't been able to find records of Hawks attending one, strangely enough, but it was a safe bet all the same. He'd be lying if he said he weren't getting something out of it. Lying if it didn't stir something dim and deep and prone to groveling that he thought he'd stomped out decades ago, being treated like this. Seeing something almost like remorse for watching as Touya crossed that line himself, of his own free will.

Well, if Hawks really wanted to even the playing field, he could think of one way.

3. substitute

100% something angsty lmao, it's a fic exploring Naruto's grief over Sasuke leaving the village for Orochimaru (and his denial that it even qualifies as such) and why he reacted to Sai the way he did — he represents a direct, active, intentional threat to the sanctity of Team Kakashi as he knows it

Sai is my absolute favorite character in the series but I simply never pass up an opportunity to write about agonizing grief

Kakashi-sensei had gone on to talk about how you just can't win after a loss like that — every change hurt, good or bad. So did staying the same. Anything that reminded you of the time you spent with them also reminded you that nothing would ever bring that back. The more you clung to scraps of familiarity, passed up opportunities they'd never get to have, the more you alienated yourself from who you were with them in the first place.

Meanwhile each new development, no matter how petty, how small and stupid and insignificant, carved the knife a little deeper. It showed that the world was forgetting, piece by piece. It put the responsibility on you to remember, if no one else would. To plant your feet and refuse to betray their memory. To keep them alive, in some form, whatever the cost.

Naruto thought that a double-edged sword sounded way too cool to describe what he was feeling.

cool doji danshi is a weird one for me, because while i think that hayate and mima had a couples moment in the cafe, their age + maturity gap is just WAY too big for me. so i think mima and makoto are a good ship. (souma and shun i don't have opinions on really.)

idolish 7 is gaku and tsumugi (another fuyustuki and himuro situation 💔except painfully one sided )

i love kagakuro's dynamic, but i also think kagaao is really cute too if aomine isn't an asshole lol

Does the rest of Kirisaki Daiichi team know that Hanamiya is still scared of Imayoshi?

To answer this, we’ll run through a lil transcript of chapter 126 where the boys discuss Imayoshi.

Yamazaki: Hey, your senpai’s amazing. He’s actually smarter than you, isn’t he, Hanamiya?

For starters, ‘senpai’ tells us that the team is already aware of Hanamiya’s relationship with Imayoshi, but the ‘actually’ could suggest that Hanamiya may have not told them fully just how good Imayoshi is - and this idea is highlighted by Yamazaki’s big old smirk in the panel. Furuhashi and Seto also have their eyes turned to Hanamiya (suggesting they’re also surprised by how well Imayoshi’s performing). Only Hara seems to not care less - either Hanamiya had an honest conversation with him about Imayoshi, or he’s too focused on watching how Imayoshi’s marking Kuroko (possible as only a match ago he was in Imayoshi’s position).

Hanamiya, with a frown: You’re annoying, shut up

To Hanamiya, the idea of anyone being smarter than him is just insulting - plus he doesn’t appreciate jokes at his expense.

Hanamiya, carrying on, but without a particularly emotional gaze, watching the game: I don’t know about intelligence …but I wouldn’t want to compete at things like poker with him.

The fact that he doesn’t completely dismiss the intelligence remark, and the fact he admits there are things in which Imayoshi is stronger than him, is very telling. He’s being a lot more respectful, and humble, than one would expect of Hanamiya - this is reflected in a very confused Yamazaki beside him, saying ‘what?’ as he talks.

Hanamiya: Reading the opponent’s mind from their facial expressions and habits - he’s a monster when it comes to playing mind games. He’s completely aware of whatever Kuroko’s thinking. No one is better than him at doing what others don’t want.

These are the key words really. You wouldn’t expect such blatant praise from Hanamiya - and this is praise, because this is exactly the type of thing he would admire - which suggests that he holds Imayoshi in high esteem. ‘Course, Hanamiya enjoys his current play style (and I don’t think he’d ever fully stop using it, even if there was no need for it), but there is definitely some jealousy in him as regards Imayoshi’s methods.

And this is backed up by Hanamiya’s words earlier in the chapter, wherein he tells Seto that Imayoshi’s the ‘right one’ to stop Kuroko, and that ‘no one has a worse personality’ than Imayoshi. He’s grinning when he makes the first point, so it’s safe to presume that he’s grinning when making the second, and that there’s a hint of pride in Imayoshi being such an awful dude. (That’s his senpai, after all!)

The whole idea about Hanamiya being scared of Imayoshi is perpetuated by what follows this scene in the anime - seen below in the NG-shuu/blooper version:

Honestly, this segment is clearly just for entertainment, so I wouldn’t take it as canon. But, if it was canon, Hanamiya would be rightfully spooked that Imayoshi heard him from all that way, maybe even a little embarrassed.

And while I’m discussing Hanamiya/Imayoshi’s relationship, let me mention that the information we get about the coaching situation of Kiridai, we get from Imayoshi.

Fujimaki uses Hanamiya and Imayoshi to give us information on the other. This, combined with Hanamiya being the player that Imayoshi has his eyes on, tells us just how close their relationship is. Look at Imayoshi’s grin as corrects his teammate; you can’t tell me he’s not proud of Hanamiya. Personally, I’d like to think that Hanamiya was the one to tell Imayoshi that the coach quit (a way of showing off to his senpai), because there’s no other way of Imayoshi having found out; the school wouldn’t want people to think that they couldn’t hire a coach, that’s probably why the supervisor was taken to the match. (Look how uninterested he appears.)

In conclusion

Imayoshi was definitely a factor in making Hanamiya the monster he is in high school. (I suspect that their middle school basketball team was very powerful with the two of them on it, but the fact that Hanamiya’s an uncrowned king, rather than Imayoshi, makes me think that Imayoshi took up a supporting role in matches, and let Hanamiya shine. This then lends itself to why Imayoshi’s keeping his eyes on Hanamiya; he wants to see what the demon he helped create will become etc)

What might be construed as Hanamiya’s fear of Imayoshi, is actually just a healthy amount of respect towards him. (Though Hanamiya’s definitely got some unpleasant memories with Imayoshi from high school - you can’t tell me that Imayoshi didn’t use his ‘mind reading’ to embarrass Hanamiya once or twice, like any good senpai would.

The rest of the Kiridai team know to some extent about Hanamiya/Imayoshi’s relationship, but, for the sake of saving face, Hanamiya’s not told them everything
