After Katara finished healing the guards' injuries, Aang wanted to accompany her on their way back home. As he rested a hand on her bruised shoulder to walk together, he noticed something maroon-coloured stuck in her hair. "What?" Katara asked, clueless about why her boyfriend was staring at her so intently. They stopped in their tracks and she let him comb his fingers through her dark brown locks for a second. "I.. I think you're bleeding." "What!? From where?" she panicked a little bit since she hadn't noticed before. One of her hands instinctively patted around her head. When she held it in front of her face, she was surprised to see dark red stains covering her fingers. "It's okay, it's just a small wound. And I think it clotted up already," Aang stated, parting her hair from the source of her bleeding. He was right, the tiny cut had already begun to heal on its own. Katara sat down on the nearest patch of rock so she could quicken the healing process with her waterbending. She dropped her pouch on the edge of the rock and summoned the remaining water around her hand, gently lifting it above the wound. The water began to glow in a familiar light blue hue. Aang frowned at the sight. Even when she was wounded, albeit barely, she tended to others first. This would always be a part of who she was as a person, putting everybody else before her own needs. He wished that she would take care of herself just as well as she did her patients. The airbender stepped beside her and interrupted her healing session for a moment. Katara ceased healing and let her hand back down. She eyed him as he rested one hand on her shoulder to pull her into his embrace, and cupped her chin with the other one, thus resting her head against his chest. She nuzzled her cheek against the orange of his sash and smiled, a soft hum escaping her lips as she felt him kiss the wounded spot on the top of her head ever so tenderly. "You're always so worried about fighting for others that you forget to fight for yourself," Aang murmured to her.
So, uh… Hi? 👋 A lot has happened since I was last here (which is roughly 1 year and 3-4 months ago).
Let me just literally pick up the shards of my life and we'll try this Tumblr-thing again, okay? 🥲
This drawing is very personal to me, and serves as an important reminder that I need to be more kind to myself. ❤️‍🩹

Imbalance's final form!
When Balance and Imbalance were first created, they were essentially blank slates. Their methods of retrieving crystal drops changed their appearance throughout the years, thus leading to Imbalance looking more monstrous and Balance looking more humanoid. BUT, Balance does have some monstrous elements as well. Contrary to popular belief, he has done some bad things.

Ok, I need to adress something here.
Balance of the handmade dice. I get ton of tags and comments like this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And let me tell you, if you don't know anything about the process of making dice, then don't assume stuff. Those comments are incredibly insulting to dice makers.
Handmade dice are made entirely of the same material under the same conditions, i.e. under constant pressure, therefore there are no air bubbles inside. If the whole is made of the same material, how is the weight imbalance supposed to be?
Atop ot that, dice makers are incredibly passionate about their products and every die is almost perfect. Many dice makers disqualifies their sets because of the microscopic inperfections normal mass producers don't even acknowledge.
So do not comment on topics that you have no idea about, or AT LEAST ask the artist about it before commenting ://

do you lile the comics or do you think the characters or are they OOC
Aang in the promise reminded me of zuko in season 1.
Hotheaded, even kinda nationalistic with no social awareness. How comes he completely forgets katara
Oooh I love that question.
First of all, starting with the Promise. Yeah, they are mostly out of character in that comic. Aang agreeing to kill Zuko after we spent the whole finale establishing he refuses to kill? Like, that’s baffling. Plus, Zuko acting like a child, going to his father for advice and marching his army to Yu Dao, instead of sitting down with Aang and talking it out? We spent 3 seasons watching Zuko grow into a mature young man and he just goes back to his old ways in the first comic? That wasn’t great. Although I did like the overall conflict of the series, the characters were not done right.
But, I wouldn’t call Aang a nationalist. You have to remember, Aang lost his entire culture and he’s the only one who’s left to preserve it and to pass it on. Seeing people blatantly disrespecting his culture and using it as a costume made him see things differently. He was just afraid that his way of life would be lost if he let the nations clash. Yes, his way of thinking was wrong but it was also justified in the context of the comic. Of course he came to a realization that he cannot gatekeep his culture and people from different nations should be able to live together. I think it was a good character growth for him. Which is a lot more than I can say for Zuko, at least.
Now, I’m not sure I understand what you mean by saying he forgot Katara? Are you referring to the first comic? Cause they were together the whole time and I feel like her opinion and counsel were what mattered the most to him. In terms of Kataang, I think they were written really well in the comics. They have cute little romantic moments and also moments where they realize they’re pretty much the ones responsible for the fate of the world and really sit down and think things through and reach a decision together. I love that.
I could say Aang kinda forgot about Katara in the Rift for a while there, but it’s kinda minor. Other than that, in every other comic, they’re always together and written well so I like Kataang in the comics a lot.
Overall, the comics are not for everyone but I do enjoy them, I think they’re cute additions for the universe if you don’t think too hard about them. They’re pretty entertaining, for the most part.
My favorite one is definitely Imbalance, it just balances the characters perfectly, everyone gets a moment to shine and the main conflict is actually really ineteresting and sets up the main conflict in Korra really well.
My ranking of the comics if you’re interested
1. Imbalance - like I said the main conflict is awesome and the characters feel like themselves, Toph is a freaking badass in this one.
2. The Rift - I love Toph in this, she really gets to shine and again, Aang’s inner conflict is what makes this comic for me. The way he wants to preserve his people’s memory and culture in middle of all the inevitable progress.
3. The Search - it’s cute. Just the Gaang on an adventure, that’s always fun.
4. The Promise - it has its problems but I like the conflict after the war, I think it’s very nuanced and interesting.
5. Smoke and Shadow - Kinda boring
6. North and south - it was a bit repetitive and the main conflict seemed a little bit silly in my opinion. Katara is also a little out of character.

“Western man has no need of more superiority over nature, whether outside or inside. He has both in almost devilish perfection. What he lacks is conscious recognition of his inferiority to the nature around and within him. He must learn that he may not do exactly as he wills. If he does not learn this, his own nature will destroy him. He does not know that his own soul is rebelling against him in a suicidal way.”
