☀️Yandere!Apollo with a Female!Gojo!Reader☀️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is from a poll I made. This was the most voted on that poll (God's School Aphrodite!Reader and Mitsuri!Reader both tied for second, but I'll do those as well.)
The first part is told in the narrator's pov, then it's in your pov.
This won't follow the original plot, so in this, Geto is on Gojo!reader's side!
Reader is 28, which is Gojo's canon age in the series (This won't contain spoilers from the manga, so don't worry!)
Also, thank you @forbidden-sunlight for helping me think of a plot for this!! Appreciate it! 👍
Hades hasn't felt this stressed out over anything in his life.
Multiple reports stated that these creatures called Curses have been the source of his stress. Not only were they killing thousands of humans, but they were also destroying the bifrost, the gate that only the chief gods can access, himself included.
He's tried to take care of them himself, but he couldn't exactly get rid of them. So he resorted to letting sorcerers kill them since they were one of the only ones who can effectively take them on.
(Y/n) Gojo is one of the strongest sorcerers he has, so she was the one who was constantly working. She's one of the only sorcerers who can take down even the strongest curses with ease.
She refused to do so, unless he lets her three students go with her so they can grow. He was against it at first, seeing how they were teenagers, practically kids! But (Y/n) wouldn't have it any other way. Hades reluctantly let her three students go with her.
Yuuji Itadori, a 15 year old boy who was the host of the king of curses, Ryomen Sukuna, Megumi Fushiguro, another 15 year old boy who seemed to be Sukuna's interest and Nobara Kugisaki, a teenage girl.
During the three months of eliminating curses, her students have continued to grow stronger.
They were her precious students, and she won't allow anyone to separate them from her....
Tumblr media
"How long until we find this curse?" Nobara complained, already feeling bored from the long walking. Megumi rolled his eyes and continued looking around. Yuuji didn't complain at all and was helping Megumi.
"Relax, we'll find that curse!" Yuuji said, smiling at Nobara.
"He's so handsome." A female said to herself, catching the three teenager's attention, as well as yours. The female revealed herself to be a nymph, but as soon as she was visible, the curse had appeared and brutally murdered the nymph. Megumi immediately summoned his wolves, the black and white ones ready to fight the curse.
A certain god with long, pink hair was nearby, wanting to take a break from the nymphs. Apollo had heard the commotion and went over to see what was going on. The god saw three teenage kids fighting a curse along with a grown woman with a blindfold over her eyes.
But this curse proved to be too much for the three teenagers and you had to finish it off, which you did with ease using black flash.
"I've never seen a human perform such a technique. It's.... Amazing."
Unbeknownst to the four of them, the same god had watched the whole fight, more focused on you. You're very beautiful, and he knew it.
A man your age with long black hair with parts of it tied up came over, asking you to go relax, even for just a bit. At first, you refused because you didn't want to be separated from your students, but they managed to convince you.
You lifted your blindfold up, revealing one of the most beautiful eyes Apollo has ever seen in his immortal life. Multiple sparkles of lights reflected brightly in your sky blue eyes, layered by white eyelashes.
"Her eyes.... They're like the blue skies themselves...." Apollo thought.
"Sure. I can also take a load off for a bit." You replied, putting the blindfold over your eyes. You urged them to go ahead, while you follow behind. When they were far enough, Apollo decided now was the time to get the woman's attention.
"Hey!"
You turned your head, seeing the pink haired God approach you with a smirk on his face. You now looked slightly disinterested, though it was hard to tell.
"I assume you're Apollo?~" You asked, folding your arms. Apollo felt his confidence grow from your acknowledgement of him.
"I am. But that's not why I'm here." Apollo replied, flipping some of his hair back.
"Make it quick then." You said.
"I've seen your beautiful techniques and-"
"Not interested. I've already did what I needed to do for now, and I'd like to relax." (Y/n) replied, turning back around and started walking away. Apollo was surprised at her answer, just watching her leave.
"What?- You-"
"Besides... You're too weak~" You finally spoke, looking back with a grin and looking forward. Apollo knows he should be angry at the audacity of this woman. But he couldn't. Instead...
He was more attracted to her.
And so began his little quest to win your heart. Ever since then, he's been watching your every step, figuring out your likes and dislikes and more effective ways to get closer to you.
Whenever he meets you in person, he later found out that you were oddly playful and nonchalant, despite your cruelty towards curses. Your interactions slowly grew, even if Apollo had to do it first. At first, you didn't want anything to do with Apollo, but he keeps coming to you, so you just let him do whatever.
But doing that only increased his love for you.
Apollo has always seen you with the man with long black hair, whose name is Geto Suguru. From your interactions with him, he has a strong connection with you, and it enrages him. He hates the way Suguru gets close to you. He didn't like the attention you give Geto. You always greeted with a playful smile, and he wishes he was the one you smile at.
He has to get rid of him, so you can only give him the attention you give Geto. Geto Suguru.... Has to go.
So that you'll have no choice but to love him and him only~

Ok. There's something going on and I need to talk about it.
We've all seen that AidaIro is posting new art every day, and on the 18th there will be a new chapter.
But I noticed something, all these arts are about the last arc and are telling the story of it again.
Let me show you
Tumblr media
The first one we had was on chapter 111, which shows Yashiro. Everything is normal, but behind her we can see typical theater spotlights, it could just be something mundane or reference her school play rehearsals. Well we started with this.
Tumblr media
So we have this art of 12y Tsukasa. Referencing when Yashiro and Mitsuba ended up in the past and found 12y Tsukasa talking to them. He said a rumor about the big clock that further opened the theme of this arc, really an omen for everything.
Tumblr media
This art by Sakura is worth mentioning, as she is part of the broadcast gang. She is behind everything, and theories about her being the god or something powerful are increasing more and more. It's worth mentioning that she wished something for Tsukasa, everything he's doing is because of her (because of Amane too, but he has a bond with Sakura). Sakura is an extremely important piece in this puzzle.
Tumblr media
Let the fun begin! Next in the series we have Mitsuba and Kou enjoying their time at the festival. Eating and playing together. We were informed, the festival has started.
Tumblr media
More moments at the festival. This scene happened in the manga, it is the beginning of the festival that we see. Hanako and Yashiro in the haunted house made by Kou's class. Until that moment everything was normal (or so we thought).
Tumblr media
This one is curious. We only see seal Tsukasa in this arc after the plan is initiated. But I believe he was also out there enjoying his last moments. And you can tell that it's really Tsukasa and not the creature. Well, now we're getting close.
Tumblr media
Ohhh look what we have here! President and vice-president enjoying the festival as well, despite their work they still managed to find some time to have fun. Natsuhiko had already confronted Akane earlier and Teru had already discovered the black crane, they were probably already alert for anything suspicious. But, everything's still normal.
Tumblr media
We return to Sakura, now in her maid outfit. We also have Natsuhiko's first appearance in these arts. This was possibly before or during the festival, but following the chronological line it must have been during. Note that until then this was the only art that did not have a black border (I will talk about this later). Moving on to the next...
Tumblr media
From here things started to get serious. The plan had begun. This moment happens in chapter 105. Blood had started to spread throughout the auditorium and Hanako noticed that something was wrong. We are just a few steps away from entering No.1 boundary.
Tumblr media
And finally we have today's art. The revelation of the immortal human, Natsuhiko. Breaking the timeline, in this art we go back to chapter 104, where Natsuhiko spreads his blood across the clock, thus executing the plan to go after the last yorishiros.
And these were all the arts released so far, the arts that reference the arc in this case. They all seem to be retelling the story of the Festival arc. Now why? Why would AidaIro be recapping the last arc?
We know that the past has changed and everything has a chance of being different from what we know. We go back to the beginning of the festival, where nothing had happened yet. Therefore, none of these events had happened, if everything really changed, the arts are telling an alternative version of history, the version we know.
Moving from analysis to theory... did you notice that almost all arts have a black border? Black borders are used to indicate flashbacks, the past in JSHK. Now, why would they be using this artifice? Assuming the present has changed, this would be the past. But not a past like something that happened years ago, but a past that no longer exists, in the sense of what it was before this current one. That's why the black borders, indicating that this would be the past.
What breaks this theory is Sakura's art in her maid outfit, as it doesn't have a black border. Maybe the borders are part of the new AidaIro style and are something made to style the arts, or actually have a connection to something. Well, that part is just a crazy theory.
But what do you think of this analysis? The images seem to be telling the arc of the festival all over again, and for what reason? Maybe we'll find out on the 18th, when chapter 112 comes out.

Thinking more (spoilers for dungeon meshi manga).
Fuck, what a literally perfect execution of a “devil” in fiction. Like I thoroughly enjoyed the way Kui played with western fantasy tropes in order to ground them in reality and make them ecologically feasible. Stuff like the dragons using everything they can’t digest as food, or the succubi functioning as mosquitos. Plus the Monty python rabbit bit caught me way off guard in the best way!
But MAN, the demon were just *chefs kiss*. I play a lot of dnd, and absolutely adore monsters that can play with the mind of a player. Yeah sure a big demon getting summoned can hurt a lot of people, but the mind games you that are played when you are dealing with these hyper intelligent, hyper persuasive types of devils who desire something less gruesome, but more horrific than just endless blood and death.
A few things that I loved in the character of the winged lion. First is that it had contingencies out the ass, it had a contingency for when it first got sealed by thistle. It initially set its eyes on laios and began to worm into his mind, setting the seeds for a greater desire than to just save his sister, which wouldn’t help the demon much. Then, noticing this weak link in marcille, it decided to invest a bit of time in exploring that option too. Then even when that FAILs the demon is like “actually laios you were who I wanted all long!” Like this dude had PLANS, and that’s exactly how a hyper intelligent, essentially immortal, ageless creature has to function.
I also enjoyed the sheer amount of gaslighting homeboy did, alongside the other indirect methods of harming the dungeon master. It’s not too dissimilar to the parasites, but on one’s mind, overwhelming it with knowledge IT can handle, but KNOWS you can’t. Toying with its victims sense of truth, attempting to distort every fact around it to make IT seems like the most reasonable, well meaning one. And to a certain extent it IS until it eats you.
And probably the most important lie is that it can’t harm you or control you, which it can’t literally. But it is a hyper-dimensional creature older than time and you are a regular guy. So believing that is stupid! Especially when you consider its ability to eat Desires, simultaneously it’s raison d’être but one of its most powerful abilities. The way it can make you forget essentially anything it doesn’t want you to remember. A force so powerful that ability is it’s undoing in the end.
All this to say that the manga is really fuckin good honestly. It’s funny that I ran a similar creature in dnd recently, but I’m gonna be remembering this next time I do. Because probably the most clever thing that I wanna steal is how it pretends to be a good thing, setting up the slaying of ITS obstacles as good and righteous.

I'm back into COD and I was thinking...what if it was crossed over with Ajin Demi Human? I think I'm cooking with this concept! Umm, to explain, Ajin are immortal basically, but you have to actually die in order to discover that. So if we combine that with sad COD character deaths... YES I'M COOKING HERE! An extra detail is that you also get a little creature you can control that can fight. Each is unique, so I can't really explain them because they're all specific to their creators. But with the main character of Ajin Demi Human, he dies a bunch and learns how to control it (kind of).
And just yeah. It'd work! Plus maybe go watch that anime/or the read the manga. Just 'cause it's underrated.
Uh I gotta draw some art for this sometime.
Oh and the creatures aren't cute. At all. Big scary monsters :) Google them ;)
(Extra: I like picturing 2009 COD Ghostsoap for this specifically for the angst)
Below is one of the creatures :D they are all different! But yeah, picture the COD characters with one of those!!!!

your HNK art is making me want to watch HNK hrghfghfjrrfcgdggh
Jaw drop emoji. Well. Here’s my thoughts the “starter pack” briefing to Houseki no Kuni:
Highly recommend the anime!! It’s 12 eps long, u can probably find it if u search like “watch land of the lustrous online” and made by the same studio which made… uh Beastars if you’ve heard of that! And the new Trigun Stampede! They make GREAT CGI animation :)) anyway the anime is beautiful animation and characters, great music, great sound design, great voice acting!
I’ll say the story is pretty weird, but that’s what it’s supposed to be like! A little brief summary about Land of the Lustrous/Houseki no Kuni 🫶my fav anime
Far in the future the last beings on Earth are Genderless Rock Beings Like Steven Universe but Anime and Without Musical Numbers. They’re immortal! The characters are gems. Rocks. And they are being hunted by mysterious divine looking spirit people called Lunarians who want to shatter the gem people (the Lustrous) and make them into JEWLERY and shit ☹️ anyway the story follows one gem, and their changes throughout their journey to uncovering the mysteries about the world! Why are their only gems? Who are the Lunarians? Are there other creatures? Etc. anyway the anime gets u up to about chapter 33 or smth. There’s about 100 chaps in the manga so far, and the story continues further :))
The characters I draw the most that you’ve seen (cairn and laphos)-just for your reference-are from the manga! 🙏the manga is highly rated and ranked #12 top on myanilist which is epic let’s just say things get darker😎 love this series!
Anyway I wrote all this just for fun because I like this series obviously no pressure to watch it because it’s lowkey confusing 😔it’s still really good tho I swear 🔥if u do ever read the manga, I salute u? Be mentally prepared! Hooray! Ok that’s all hope this helps lmao

HUGE ONE PIECE SPOILER
One must be caught up with the manga before reading this.
Ever since Imu's appearance, we have been wondering about Imu's identity, look and gender. We have no idea whatsoever who or what it could be. All we know so far is that Imu is the unidentified ruler who sits at the throne meant for the king who governs the world, in short, Imu might as well be considered the king of the World Government. The World Government higher-ups are a bunch of hypocrites and that defines how vile they are when it comes to ruling the world no matter the cost.
We also found out that Imu belongs to a family called the house of Nerona, which was one of the 20 royal families that established W.G 800 years ago. And Cobra said that he had heard the name Imu, someone who lived 800 years ago. We can easily conclude 2 things. Either the current Imu stole the name from the old Imu and is impersonating the og Imu, or it's the same old Imu who is now give or take 800 years old. Not only that, even the goroseis have been shown to be able to regenerate and not age a single day even after 3 decades (from Kuma's backstory during the slaves' survival contest).
I laid out some of the basic points that we have been told so far, because here it gets interesting.
We know all the goroseis can transform into youkai(s) (ghosts, spirits, and monsters in Japanese mythology). But we have no idea what Imu transforms into, or if Imu transforms into any creature at all. And to begin with, no devil fruit was revealed or mentioned during any of the gorosei transformations. So did they actually not eat devil fruit ? Are they for real like that ? Tbh, we have to wait to know more about that. But what I'm here to tell you, needed me to establish the piece of information above.
There's another youkai in Japanese mythology and I think this is what Imu is, or at least transforms into just like the goroseis. The name is "YAOBIKUNI". YAOBIKUNI literally translates into "800 year old nun". In this folklore, there happened to be a nun who accidentally ate the flesh of a ningyou(mermaid) and her aging stopped, making her look like a beautiful woman, yet after 800 years had passed. If you pay attention to Imu's silhouette, what Imu appears to be wearing looks very similar to a nun's attire.
So is Imu a nun? More importantly, is Imu a woman? And even more importantly, did Imu feed on a mermaid's flesh to stay young and live forever? And guess how long has it been since her apparent existence during the century of void? 800 years!! And I won't be surprised if Imu shared the secret to immortality with her fellow 5 underlings, i.e, the goroseis. This makes me wonder, if it works after feeding on just any mermaid, or do you need something special? Or someone special? Like a mermaid princess who was a literal weapon and could control a number of sea kings at once with one command! I think you can see where I'm going with this...
What if Imu, and even the goroseis too, fed on the flesh of Poseidon from 800 years ago? And what if that's why Joyboy wrote a letter of apology to her since he had made a promise to save her in need but couldn't help her when she needed him the most!?
One piece doesn't tend to go this dark, but Oda has the tendency to surprise us like this once in a while for sure. At the very least we can guess that they tore a part of Poseidon's fin or skin, and ate it. Or maybe they caused her some sort of damage to get their hands on her flesh, which left her sick or very weak and numbered her days to live.
This is only a fan theory and chances are this may never come to be. But as things are now, it totally fits, and that's what's so beautiful about one piece. It has so many things to think and imagine about.

[4.0] some theories about the primordial sea
Tumblr media
Neuvillete: There used to be a special sea on the surface of this planet. The nature of its seawater was rather different from that of the sea we know today...
I’ve been thinking a lot about the primordial sea since finishing the Archon Quest.
SPOILERS: This post presumes you’ve finished the Archon Quest but does not actually talk about the plot points of it. It does spoil a bit of Ancient Colors, the Melusine world quest that takes place in Elynas, as well as a bit of Ann of Narzissenkreuz. It also references some weapon ascension lore.
It didn’t click for me right away, but by now I’m sure a lot of you who have seen End of Evangelion recognized the similarities between the primordial seawater and LCL fluid, and you have also probably noticed the similarities between Rene and Jakob’s Big Plan™ and the Human Instrumentality Project (what is this, the fourth Human Instrumentality parallel so far?). If you haven’t seen End of Evangelion, or aren’t familiar with Eva in general, here’s the gist of what this reference means:
In Evangelion, humans are all descended from Lilith, who is the Second Angel to make contact with Earth. Humanity’s “original sin” is taking Earth from Adam, the First Angel who already existed on Earth before Lilith collided with it in what is known as the First Impact.
Specifically, humans arose from Lilith’s blood, a fluid they know as “LCL.” A shadowy organization named SEELE initiates the Human Instrumentality Project to attempt to “correct” humanity’s sin of existing, and it involves among many other things the union of all souls with both Lilith and Adam. Naturally, in practice this means everyone’s gotta dissolve into LCL and lose the forms that distinguish them as individuals, thereby ascending to a higher plane of existence and in effect “evolving” as a species. Sound a little familiar?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This brings us to theory #1: the primordial sea is…blood. Before dealing with the question of who or what the source of that blood could be, let’s look at some in-game support for this idea:
1. We already know and have seen multiple forms of life born from the wounds of higher beings in the game: the Melusines were born from the wounds on Elynas, and the Jinn were born from Nilotpala Lotuses that bloomed in pools of blood that gushed from the Goddess of Flowers’ body. What’s more, Jakob Ingold’s abyssal form likens the “water” running through Elynas’s body to blood as he attempts to wake up Elynas’s heart. So next time you swim through Elynas, double-check if you’re swimming through an artery!
Tumblr media
Veleda: We Melusines were born of Elynas. So i’ve often been wondering – how did the first human in this world come to be?
2. This line from the weapon ascension material Wine Goblet of the Pristine Sea:
“Combining the immortal stone with the Ichor essence extracted from primordial water…”
“Ichor” being the blood-like fluid of a higher being. It’s not quite a smoking gun, the primordial sea could still be a mixture of ichor and something else, but it’s something to chew on for now.
3. This very suspicious panel from the Genshin Impact manga, which is Venti’s answer to Aether’s question of whether or not entering Celestia makes you a god:
Tumblr media
While it’s not a perfect example for the point at hand, there is still the analogy of a higher being’s blood becoming the sea.
Now, for the “source” question…upon reflecting on just “who” or “what” this sea of blood could have come from, I’m unfortunately left with no satisfying possible candidates. The only creature I can think of that could be the likely source of the primordial sea, other than the Primordial One, is one of the dragon sovereigns, potentially the Dragon King Nibelung. But we know virtually nothing about Nibelung, and we know very little about Teyvat’s history during the time of the dragons. So it’s not that this theory isn’t possible, but it is very difficult to support it beyond mere conjecture based on what we currently know.
And what about the sea being the Primordial One’s blood? I’m not really convinced that it’s a good candidate for the primordial sea’s source if the sea is indeed blood. Instead, I want to take a slightly different approach by drawing attention to the repeated use of the phrase “amniotic fluid” to refer to the sea. I have counted it at least twice so far in-game, let me know if you’ve seen it elsewhere:
Tumblr media
Ann, the little oceanid that seems to have some of Mary-Ann Guillotin’s memories, says she has seen “the primordial waters, the amniotic fluid of the world, and its placenta, devoured to the last.”
In the Nymphs Dream artifact set, the Fell-Dragon’s Monocle, it states: "The star-beasts shall drink the amniotic fluid of the world dry. A hundred years from then, all life on its surface shall be wiped away" (this example doesn’t explicitly say primordial sea, but coupled with the above example I will speculate that they are referring to the same thing).
And while amniotic fluid of some sort is present in many different kinds of animal gestation, including mammals, I did find the use of “amniotic fluid” to refer to the sea very interesting considering that the Primordial One is said to have hatched from an egg:
"On Phanes, or The Primordial One" The Primordial One may have been Phanes. It had wings and a crown, and was birthed from an egg, androgynous in nature. But for the world to be created, the egg's shell had to be broken. However, Phanes, the Primordial One, used the eggshell to separate the "universe" and the "microcosm of the world."
So, with some hesitation, theory #2: the primordial sea is from the amnion in the Primordial One’s egg? Assuming the egg hatched on Teyvat, it’s a possibility for a source at the very least? But there are lots of holes in this theory too. For example, Before Sun and Moon does not go into detail about how exactly humans were created, just that the Primordial One and one of its shades created them, including all the plants and animals (and I assume by this they mean new plants and animals, because we know from Apep that Teyvat already had elemental lifeforms before the Primordial One took the world from the sovereigns).
Personally, I am very skeptical of Before Sun and Moon’s Genesis story and would not regard it as a reliable source as far as the details go. The possibility that the primordial sea predates even the Primordial One is still very likely, especially given this line from the Broken Goblet of the Pristine Sea:
“Legend says that when the first usurper came to the primordial sea, the first sovereign gave him a goblet of water.”
I am assuming from the rest of this material’s context that “the first usurper” here does not refer to the Primordial One, but to Remus, the God King of Remuria, and as for the first sovereign…perhaps the Hydro Dragon, or Nibelung?
In any case, this is as far as I’ve gotten on the question of what the primordial sea is exactly. I’m not more partial to one theory over the other, so whether it’s a sea of blood, it came from the Primordial One’s egg, or it’s something completely different from that, I will only be surprised if the primordial sea was naturally occurring like the theorized primordial ooze that gave rise to life on our planet.
Concluding Thoughts
What do you know, a relatively shorter post from me! I still have a lot to say about the primordial sea, but going into it here would require going over all the extant Remuria lore and the Narzissenkreuz lore, and this is already a longer post than I intended it to be. With the questions of “what” and “from what” more or less handled, in Part 2 I want to talk about the “why.” Specifically, why are Fontainians born with sin? What does the prophecy mean? What the hell were Rene and Jakob doing, and were they onto something? Part 2 will be…much longer than this. But I hope there was something interesting in this, or it led you to better ideas. Thank you for reading, and also any thoughts and suggestions are welcome <3

I'm a WHAT?!?!? (1)
Ozpin stood at his window over looking the Emerald Forest and sipping from his mug. The immortal body hopping parasite of a entity had felt a change in the world. A hint that something new was emerging upon Remnant... and it had him concerned. The Grimm and Salem's machinations were more that enough for him to try and deal with.
The addition of another faction would for good or ill would fracture his focus, and divide his attention. That was something he could ill-afford.
"There is nothing I can do, until they manifest." he sighed as he continued to gaze out over the forest.
While Headmaster Ozpin pondered the situation, Jaune and a incognito Pyrrha were wandering through on of the many parks that dotted Vale's urban sprawl. While Pyrrha deep inside wished the little sojourn she was sharing with Jaune had a more... romantic quality, she was more than happy to just be spending time with him.
Jaune on the other hand was nervous. A thought had been sparked in his mind, through a conversation with a sleep and syrup deprived Nora... one that had him thinking about his partner in a less platonic manner. He wanted to test the waters, but his continual failures with Weiss had shaken his resolve with anyone, let a long a gorgeous young woman, like Pyrrha. A woman he was sure was too good for someone like him.
Several screams shattered the peaceful atmosphere of the small park, and instantly had Jaune and Pyrrha on the move. Even without their weapons they knew they could be of some help. They had aura and could act as shields for those who had none.
While it took the only a minute or so to reach the sounds of the screams and cries for help, the pair felt they had taken too long, but skidded to a halt at the sight before them. A creature made of entirely of purplish good or slime taking on a slightly feminine form was lashing out at anyone in range with dripping slick looking tendrils. Any it caught were slowly being dragged towards it's central mass.
"What in the..."
"Pyr look out!" Jaune shouted cutting off Pyrrha's words while bodily checking her away from a blazing ball of light.
"JAUNE!"
"..."
"JAUNE?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Dang it I missed!" came a voice from above them, "Well that can't be helped now... you're a Magic Girl... go defeat that monster!"
"I'm a WHAT NOW?!?" Jaune shrieked in a voice that was snot his own.
"You're a Magical Girl... how I have no idea because boys can't transform... but you have so... go defeat that monster."
"Who... What are you?" Pyrrha snapped her eyes having followed the voice to find the source.
Tumblr media
"I'm Onee-Chan... now hurry up, before it escapes!"
"Hurry up and do what?" Jaune whined, "I'm in a dress! I'm a GIRL!"
"That's not a dress! It's your Magical Armor! It'll protect you from harm." Onee-Chan snapped, "It's going to get away! Go defeat it!"
A/N: I get a kick out of "gender-bending" anime and manga. In fact one of my first boy-to-girl (henshin) anime was "Gonna be the Twin-Tail" (for which I actually have written a bit of a fanfic crossover for)... So I found this pretty generic one... but the premise if fun... so here we go... another fem!Jaune One-Shot. Please forgive me.

Hey this is maybe a strange request but I was wondering if you had any good anime recommendations ?
I've been watching JJK and I've been left feeling a bit disappointed with the writing (it feels kinda all of the place and it feels like characters are dying just for the sake of dying)
So I'm kinda looking for something with darker themes and also maybe with supernatural elements, but that gives all the characters good arcs and development and also maybe is a bit on the happier side?
But honestly anything will do I'm just looking for some new stuff
I've been thinking of watching Vanitas no Carte so that one's already on my list
Hi, anon! I understand your frustration; the despair of the Shibiya arc had become rather gratuitous by the end of Season 2. :/
VnC was one of the first shows that came to mind while I was reading your ask, so you’re already ahead of the curve! Content warnings I recall off the top of my head include child death, nonconsensual blood drinking (which carries certain unpleasant implications in vampire media), use of children for scientific experimentation, and unsavory dynamics (aka the man repeatedly disregarding the woman’s boundaries) in the canon m/f pairing. However, the quality of the story and its unmistakable queerness still make Vanitas no Carte a worthwhile watch, in my opinion. And the manga is even better!
Some other recommendations I can think of, albeit with varying ratios of darkness to good character development and happy moments, are listed below. Please note that content warnings provided are given off the top of my head and thus are not comprehensive.
Mushishi
Though existing beyond the realm of human perception, the diverse array of primitive lifeforms known as mushi can warp their surroundings—and the people inhabiting them—in bizarre, sometimes frightening ways. As a mushishi, Ginko is one of the rare few who can see and interact with these creatures, and travels Japan lending assistance to those struggling to coexist with the mushi. Suffused with a quiet melancholy, this anime is perfect to watch on a rainy day with a cup of tea in hand.
Content warnings: Body horror
Mononoke
Nope, not the Studio Ghibli film that gave birth to the classic “I’ll cut your throat” ship meme. This 2007 anime follows the enigmatic and possibly immortal Kusuriuri (medicine seller) as he helps people impacted by mononoke, malevolent spirits that latch onto negative emotions. However, he can only dispel these spirits by uncovering their true nature and the reason for the appearance, forcing him to play detective along the way. Though a spiritual cousin of sorts to Mushishi, the two shows vary radically in style: Whereas Mushishi’s color palettes tend to be earthy and subdued, Monoke’s animation pushes the envelope with a dizzying, gaudy spectacle that could have come straight out of a drug-induced nightmare.
Content warnings: Violence (including violence against women), discussions of forced abortion, body horror, a highly questionable relationship between a monk and his sister, eyestrain (the colors are gorgeous but can be a bit overwhelming at times)
Otherside Picnic
College students Sorawo Kamikoshi and Toriko Nishina team up to periodically explore the Otherside, a parallel universe where urban legends pose all-too-real threats, growing closer over the course of their adventures. Fans of the light novels on which this 12-episode anime is based have criticized the differences in tone between the adaptation and the source material, complaining that the anime tends to come across as a bit goofier. However, as someone who went into the series blind, I had a fun time! Otherside Picnic also numbers among the rare examples of sapphic anime with adult protagonists, although most of Sorawo’s and Torino’s relationship is relegated to slow-burn due to the short run time. Their black cat/golden retriever dynamic is still a joy to behold!
Content warnings: Occasional gun violence, body horror
Death Parade
The souls of the recently deceased are pitted against eachother in nerve-wracking games meant to uncover the darkest corners of their psyches so that beings known as arbiters may pass judgement on their fate—reincarnation, or eternity in the void. Alongside his assistant, Chiyuki, the arbiter Decim begins to gain greater insight into humanity while starting to question the very role for which he was created. This underrated gem will probably reduce you to a puddle of tears at least once, so have a box of tissues ready.
Content warnings: Violence, assault, suicide, depictions of alcohol use (much of the action takes place at an otherworldly bar)
Noragami
Hiyori Iki’s ordinary middle school life is turned upside down when a bus accident weakens the link between her body and soul, enabling her to perceive the gods and spirits in our midst…including Yato, a brash yet destitute young god without a single shrine to his name. How will their fates intertwine? Written along a similar vein to Fruits Basket and Kamisama Kiss, Noragami charms the viewer with its sillier shenanigans while ripping your heartstrings to shreds during the darker moments. Although the manga (at least what I’ve read of it) is superior, and the anime only adapts a handful of the original arcs, it still holds its own. And the OPs are excellent! 👌
Content warnings: Body horror, child death, suicide

One Villainous Scene - "YOU ARE TO BE KILLED BY ME!!"
(Warning: I had to scavenge for panels from the manga because I couldn’t get footage of the full thing, but even then I got scraps 💀💀💀)
Ah yes, the Namek Saga of Dragon Ball Z, the second greatest arc from the anime and manga. This arc introduced us to the idea of a Super Saiyan, it made more people love to hate Vegeta, there were some fun moments, but what made this arc was the looming presence of the self-proclaimed “Emperor of The Universe,” Frieza.
This bastard was a pure unadulterated evil powerhouse complete with a faux politeness that you could smell from a mile away. Every time Frieza was onscreen here, he was the most intimidating guy in the area, and the reveal of his other forms, along with his transformation into his true form, definitely cemented that. He was sadistic, he was cruel, he was also arrogant, but he was also fearful. While this isn't outright presented during his earlier appearances, Frieze's main motivation for destroying the Saiyan's homeworld was the fear of a Saiyan uprising, a fear of the legendary Super Saiyan wiping the floor with him. So imagine the shock and horror on his face when Goku became one after Krillin got blown up.
Frieza was legitimately afraid and furious throughout his entire battle with Goku. His pride was being pummeled, his faux politeness was gone, and not even using 100% of his powers prevented him from getting the beatdown and humiliation of a lifetime, and what made if worse for him is that he didn’t even get to wish for immortality with the Namekian Dragon Balls. The “Emperor of The Universe” was being reduced into nothing but a sad an pitiful alien lizard-man.
So after getting desperate and using some knockoff Destructo-Disks, Frieza STILL couldn’t beat Goku and while he was lost in his rage and frustration, his own desperation move just cut him in half.
Tumblr media
That is just embarrassing, and not long after being sliced in half he begins begging for his life, and the irony behind THAT is strong. This monster was one without mercy, and now he pleads for it. Even Goku calls him out on this, but he still gives him energy anyway and spares him.
Tumblr media
Look at the shock on his face. This man asked for mercy and was baffled when he got it.
Tumblr media
Afterwards Frieza is pissed and now he’s just trying to mock Goku, so he can at least try and get under his skin, but Goku just… leaves. As you can imagine, Frieza is pissed, but instead of just accepting this loss and taking advantage of being spared and being able to survive in space so he can bide his time, this happens.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is so lucky he survived long enough to enter the Cell Saga as a fodder villain, but aside from that this truly hammered in how helpless Frieza was now.
In short, Frieza was the most vile villain in the series, this defeat was karma incarnate, and it showcases that underneath all of that faux politeness and cruelty he is nothing but pathetic creature who cannot handle being seen as lesser than those he looks down upon. He’s a literal pissbaby that you are glad to see get stomped out in the end.

hey hi hello i just found out abt the samuri au and U HAVE MY ATTENTION
Tumblr media
OK SO RIGHT OFF I'm gonna throw down a few inspiration sources that have my brain absolutely rabid for this samurai/ronin/old japan AU, with the front-runners being a loose Prince And The Pauper (YN is swapped and used as a decoy body double for an actual 'person of importance'), and the aesthetic styling of but not limited to Samurai Champloo, Blade of the Immortal (manga specifically but also the anime), Rurouni Kenshin, Natsume Yuujincho (for spirit-y things), Inuyasha(also for spirit-y things), Princess Mononoke, and Mononoke(Not to be confused with Princess Mononoke), AS WELL AS a big handful of other shows that I have seen over the years and could not for the life of me drag the names out of my subconscious to site. Mix all that shit up into a blender and you're in the right wheelhouse of vibes for this AU. I am letting my little weeb/romanticized japan fan run wild with this in my head. HARD FACTS SO FAR: Sun, Moon, and Eclipse are 3 separate beings. They are also all three non-human/spirit/demon creatures. They themselves don't differentiate between 'good and bad' spirits per say, as it's usually humans that place labels like that on what is GOOD and what is BAD based on human morality. They are usually seen as 'good' protector beings however. Sun and Moon aren't technically linked to each other in the traditional DCA way. They existed separate from each other before meeting, but their personalities/energies compliment each other so well they formed their bond and began to travel together of their own choice and have been companion spirits for ages. NOW they are linked together, but can exist without each other if the need arises. They'd just be sad about it. Eclipse is an example of two spirits merging (stares at Sun and Moon with intent, but uncertainty. You can see where this is going maybe. I can see where this is going maybe. I don't know where this is going yet but there are IDEAS). I don't know if they merged willingly, by force, one took over the other, or if it was out of mutual necessity. But there are technically two beings sharing one mind. Half of him is very calm and stoic, detached(seemingly) from his emotions, but also incredibly calculated. This half only talks when necessary, moves when necessary, and tends to observe the goings-on around him instead of intervening. The OTHER half of Eclipse is wild and playful, a mischievous trickster that likes to keep his 'companion of the moment' off guard with verbal and physical pokes and prods, holding the upper hand and either forcing them to rely on him for stability/support (again, physical or emotional) or without letting them gather ground for stable footing. He likes to stir the pot and rarely lets a few moments of silence go by without striking up new conversation and rambling on wherever his thoughts may take him, whether or not said thoughts are true or not.
All three of these beings are highly skilled swordsmen (obviously) and can usually 1v1 a human without much thought. A good benchmark for a light challenge would be a 3v1, 5v1 getting a little sketchier, and anything more than 6-7 generally skilled opponents leaving them at a slight disadvantage. However, Sun and Moon are rarely apart, and Eclipse has a few 'secrets' up his sleeve that can still tip these numbers in his favor. DEMON POWERS TBD so far. If anything much more interesting than longer life, generally stronger/more durable than humans/spiritual connection stuff. MORE IN A PART 2 cause it wont let me send it as long as it was

I swear when I get my hands on the hetalia mangas I bought I’m gonna do such an analysis on their position of power (and lack there off)
Because they aren’t religious symbols despite being these immortal creatures that can’t be killed by mortals. They have status amongst nobility, they are the literal manifestations of a nation, and yet their actual political powers seems that of a supervisor to whoever’s in charge with very little actual sway.
