Even a UN Ceasefire isn’t enough to make Israel ceasefire or the U.S. to call for Israel to ceasefire. The calculus has changed. The people are reminded yet again how the governments of the world have failed them. Expect more of this around the world.

Every time there are protests in Jordan, I call my family in Amman to get a sense of how serious it is, because my grandparents are in Amman. Since October, every time I call they have brushed it off as young men being young men. Skirmishes with the armed guard as usual. But today was different. They spoke about not being able to drive in the streets, of the chaos, of the sheer number of human bodies, of the determination to do something to help Gaza—something has changed. This time, it feels different.

Additional important context: Jordan was created in 1946. When Britain divided up the Arab World into nation states. Before that there was free movement & a greater degree of one-ness. So when Jordanians say they there is no difference between us and the Palestinian people or that we are the same people , it is because the British creation of nation states was a Western government forcing the Arab people into its Western constructs.

I know I'm probably not supposed to but ..... I don't exactly think Donnie was in the wrong for his outburst.Like, whether or not Leo meant to he did destroy something that meant a lot to Donnie and they just lived through an exhausting nightmare. On a good day Donnie struggles with emotions and he's being asked to suddenly emotionally deal with something way out of his wheelhouse. It doesn't really feel fair that he's suddenly forced to be more emotionally intelligent than he ever has before because of something Leo kinda did do to himself. I don't think there is any right way for me to put this. And I would like to apologize to everyone who will be disappointed by this message.

This last week has been incredibly hard for me. Starting with the weird wave of hate anons accusing me of being "cliquey" and not welcoming enough with small authors in the HotD community, to the issues I had with Sam (blackdreamspeaks here on Tumblr), to some heartbreaking news I just received today from people I considered my friends... I just can't do it anymore.

I am going on a small hiatus. I will post the next part of THW when I deem it ready, as well as the continuation for Dragon Sickness. After that, I might move most of my writings to Ao3 (@ItsActuallyMinicika).

I don't want to say anything for certain, as I am extremely hurt and confused, and I recognise I'm not in the right mindset to make any important calls right now.

I would like to thank everyone who supported me and still does so to this day, who believed in me and encouraged me to write my fics and say the truth, no matter how hard that may be ♡

I'm just not in the right headspace to stick around right now. I feel unwelcome in both my IRL circles and some smaller ones that I created on Tumblr. So I need to use this break to decide what's best for me.

Writing has always been my escape from real life. I'm a med student who functions on 3-5 hours of sleep a day, and I have manuscripts to learn and a bunch of manuals to master. In between all my tasks, I write and post here. But I don't feel seen or heard anymore, and going on an app that makes me feel sad would just be masochistic and not at all the correct moveset. It felt as though I was crying wolf when I spoke to people about my worries (but that isn't anyone's fault but my own - perhaps my expectations are too high, and I put too much pressure on always doing the right thing, no matter who gets to benefit from it), so I'll take some needed distance.

Either way, yep, hiatus.

This might take a day or two, or a full blown week etc. I'll still be working on the requests I got, and do my best to post them soon. I just won't be very active here.

It's been a while since I've properly posted on here oh lort 😔 I'm far more active on Instagram nowadays but I might try and split my attention better between these two apps LMAOFHDV

ANYWAYS to address the Wilbur thing, all I'm gonna say is that I no longer support Wilbur (obviously) BUT I have always and will always separate characters from their creators, so I'm not going to stop drawing cWilbur and qWilbur.

On that note though I will be revamping their designs to help separate them a little more (especially qWilbur, I have a lot of ideas to make his design more my own), I might also call them William instead depending on how I continue to feel.

All of my love goes out to Shelby and other people who have dealt with abuse in the past, I hope everyone is doing okay, just remember to take care of yourself and remember that things take time to heal!
