Speaking is impossible, but so too would be silence or absence or a refusal to share one’s sadness.

ghost being able to sleep in the most uncomfortable positions, the worst places, during the most stressful times. but then the moment he's in a normal bed, laying normally, in a safe and calm environment he can't sleep (or gets horrible sleep.)

river probably doesn't feel safe for her entire life. i mean, how could she, she was raised by aliens that can perfectly cut out your memory when you look away from them. even if she kills any she sees, how will she know she killed them, how will she know they didn't get away, that she won't turn around and find another of the silence waiting. again, no wonder she is never not armed. the paranoia on her must be wild, and completely justified, and she's never going to escape it.

Radio Silence
"Ethan? Ethan, do you copy?"
Luther knows it's a lost cause. They couldn't raise Ethan on the radio to ask him if it was safe to disarm their bombs. They certainly won't be able to now. If he'd been able to respond, he would have then.
But he succeeded. Which hopefully means he's alive.
"He did it." Julia materializes from somewhere behind him, almost making Luther drop the plutonium core. He shoves it into the safe transport bag and turns to her.
"Of course he did."
She nods. "I didn't doubt it for a minute."
"Did you tell him?"
"Yeah." She sighs. "I hated to do this to him. He was a good man."
"It's the job," Luther says. "Deep covers are the worst."
He knows she didn't want this assignment. But they'd needed someone in Kashmir, and she'd been the most logical choice. So, like Ethan, she squashed what she wanted in the name of the greater good.
Cut all contact with the IMF and dove into a whirlwind romance with a Humanitarian Aid Overseas doctor, convincing him they were needed most in the area the IMF was positive the Apostles had been operating.
And now, she's had to break the truth to him.
The truth that she's an IMF agent.
The truth that she's married.
He watches her twist the plastic ring around her finger. It was strange seeing her without it.
He hopes that today hasn't made her a widow.
"We'll find him." He pulls out his phone. "I injected him with a tracker in London."
"I've been saying you should for years." Julia laughs hollowly.
Ethan's signal pings on the device.
"He's there, and he's alive." For now. "Let's go get him."
This is part of my Agent Julia and is also posted on AO3 here!

For all the violence and anger and walking away there was (completely justified, again.), I'm glad that FCG and Imogen are there, also angry AND having words (litterally) with Ahston and verbalizing
