It might seem kinda odd but I connect a lot of elements of life with the game of soccer. A couple of key aspects being.
-patience
-improving own your strength
-recognizing your weakness
-the importance of leadership
- the importance of contribution
-the self-confidence you need
-how the deal with failures
I felt like I developed a lot of useful skills from playing soccer. For me the best thing soccer has taught me is to have fun with it, and to enjoy the challenges. I find that I do my best work when I'm not stressing too much about the outcome rather ima in the moment. This is a common feeling some consider it as the “flow state” The amount of work ima able to get done is incredible and it just does not me it for everyone. The flow state is when a person has the perfect amount of challenge and the willingness to engage. A good reference would be the Goldilocks story. Not too hard that a person gives up quite fast and not too easy that a person gets bored rather than the perfect amount of challenge that makes them engage. I find it quite easy for me to tap into the flow while I'm playing soccer. If the game is hard I usually break it down to complete ten passes within the next half making it into something I can manage and if the game is too easy I add challenges for myself such as only using my left foot. I recently started to do this in my school life. If I'm feeling overwhelmed I break it down into little pieces and I get bored. I try to go in-depth about the subject I'm learning. I'm sure this method would help me accomplish this. more.
First day of my work week, so less time for home based things. I am starting to get in a rhythm of small cleaning things as my wrap up to the day, so that's helpful.
Maintenance: scooped a litter box, and threw away the food trash as I made it for once.
Improve: vacuumed the guest room/ cattery, picked up the entry organizer the cats knocked over, organized my shoes, and vacuumed the entryway
One: the pink straight hair, when I didn't like my coily hair and hated how it looked "so hard to draw and colour" and I just didn't know how to draw it lol.
Two: I started liking my natural hair colour and loved it, wanted to start colouring it, but still straight hair! *the first pic, if ya notice the hair is growing and the natural hair colour is coming back, and the second one is just the natural colour*
Three: I started loving my hair texture and started to learn or see quick tips on how to draw it, and loved how it turned out *low key is bad*
Even doodles!
I will try to do more black hair styles digitally!
Next post is gonna be about paper drawing!! ^^ I'm better at it than this, so stay tuned!
Do you ever look back that your old drawing and just redraw them to see how far you’ve come as an artist. Honestly it’s encouraging and makes me proud that I came a long way just to find I’ve moved out of my comfort zone to improve.
(The middle pic with the drawing in the bottom right corner was my friends oc and I simply redrew it in my style for her as a birthday gift, I’m still embarrassed that the bottom drawing was the result of it, at least the redraw of it looks way better plus the colors.)
