Me reading up more Drayton angst: Sicko going yes... YES...

I'm loving how it's accepted that Drayton def has some kind of trauma from Opelucid. Like GameFreak was really onto something to put the kid from that city into the Polar Biome. Def agree with anons that say him being in there is a form of exposure therapy so he can get over this 'stupid fear' faster

Now I'm just thinking like, imagine he's sick. Down with a bad fever or something. He feels like the sort to not tell people that he's unwell, and with his rep, not seeing him has people chalking it up as him slacking somewhere. So he's just in his room in bed, shivering profusely cause his temp is high but he just feels so cold. It's like there's ice in his veins, it's like that day when it's so cold that he's not sure when he'll feel warm again

Just picturing him delirious, muttering about how it's so cold, so so cold. Nothing he does can warm himself up. Just teary eyed cause he feels awful and cold and he doesn't want to be alone. He wants Iris or his grandpa or his parents. Just anyone to hug him and give him warmth

Maybe his friends worry when they haven't seen him anywhere. Crispin goes to check up on him and he's worried when no one's answering even when he hears the ringing on Drayton's Rotomphone from inside. Maybe one of Drayton's mons got out of their Pokeball cause they heard it, someone who can help their Trainer. The door opens and Crispin sees the huddling, pathetic mess on the bed

Then just caretaking cause Drayton deserves it after all that. He learns that his friends do worry, and that there are people here that care. Maybe Iris finds out somewhere and comes to call him an idiot before hugging him for not telling her he was sick. Just good feels after all that and Drayton doesn't feel cold anymore.

That's canon in my heart please imagine chxmbxk imagine Crispin realizing Drayton is sick and makes him all his fave warm meals, makes him soup, and just stays there w him until Drayton feels better

But y'know it would be cute tho while watching over him and taking care of him, Crispin likes,, rambles abt this show he and Kieran watches, and while Drayton doesn't look too interested bc he's sick, he's actually there listening to every word; knowing Crispin's fave characs and episodes and all that, and Crispin even told him that when he gets better, maybe they can watch it together too

And yeah, soon enough, Drayton finally fell asleep, feeling less colder now, especially w his Torchic and Crispin's own Blaziken, the room feels warmer now too. And Crispin's there sitting besides his bed, insisting that he at least stay until either Drayden or Iris comes back home. Drayton was all "sure whatever" but like, y'know, Dray's actually really grateful that someone's there w him and taking care of him, not calling him a slacker when he's clearly sick

And Crispin's there vibing y'know, happy that at least Drayton is getting the rest he needs. But it's also dope if he's there till night where Iris finally came home, and that's how Iris finally get to thank Crispin personally for watching over her brother. She's like going on how she really thought the students didn't like Drayton and he didn't have much friends, she was scared he'd end up like her when she was younger, but when Drayton started to mention Crispin to her and it made her happy and relieved y'know that he really has friends of his own, it really just took a while for people to understand him

But also Dray waking up to see Iris and Crispin talking and he's suddenly lively again bc ofc, maybe Iris is telling Crispin random embarrassing stories abt him hahaha

Anyways yeah your honour this is def canon, I'm not taking criticism lmfao

Ok I hate getting too heavy on main but does anyone have any cool tips and tricks for not having violent gory nightmares like every other night lol

I don't eat before bed (~2 hours), I've cut back on caffeine (mostly green tea anyway), I don't read dark/edgy stuff too close to bed, I'm a little stressed because of the stuff going on with Murphy's diabetes but otherwise I'm doing pretty good and a lot of good things are happening around that. Also I've been having dreams like this for like 7 years now so my brain meds aren't the cause of it.

The bright side is that I dream so often that when it happens I'm like "cool whatever none of this is real just get on with it" lmfao They make me sleep bad though. Weed helps a lot but gummies are expensive and I don't like smoking it frequently because bad unhealthy. Melatonin does nothing

I see my doctor soon for a checkup so I'm gonna bring it up with her (IF I REMEMBER THIS TIME LOL) but until then...

I think a lot about c!Quackity canonically wanting kids and to have a family someday, and how k!Quackity did have a kid- one who was gifted to him while he was trying to bring back his dead brother... only for the boy to also tragically die right in front of him

I think about c!Quackity running off rather then confronting Karl and Sapnap- so sure that they left him on purpose but too scared to confirm it by risking to ask. Wanting to end their bond himself by quietly leaving without a word then be hurt again, leaving himself unaware of the truth as a result. He still loves them. I think of k!Quackity flirting with both Luzu and Sapo Peta, him wanting them to get along only to find himself so very jealous when they do.. it dawning on him that HE is the issue... and running off when he assumes they love each other more then they love him. He still loves them.

I think about c!Quackity diving into politics and getting taken advantage of and it ruining his life and being so so alone... he will never be the same man he was before his campaign, and I think about Luzu begging k!Quackity not to get involved in politics because they'll ruin his life- cloudy memories reminding Luzu of how politics ruined his own life, but k!Q ignores his concerns... and is so very ready to start his campaign.

And no matter how hard either man seems to try, they can not save those closest to them.

Hello! Uhh- I wanted to ask for your opinion about smt because I love reading your opinions! Its really amusing reading them!

Well, the thing I want your opinion on is the dream theory in sams! With the name explaining what it is, basically a theory where everything in sams is a dream! Im gonna just write some reasons I know why people think this-

First of all,

as you and many said, nothing in sams really makes sense anymore. Before, the storyline was simple and everything, you could understand it but now.. Its REALLY confusing. And we know, in dreams almost NOTHING makes sense so it would be understandable why its a dream.

Second of all,

Goldie says that the North Star is akin to a Dream Stone. Meaning that it should be able to manipulate and change a person's dreams. Through dreams you could theoretically manipulate a person's subconscious. You can compare it to the Mind Stone from Marvel. It could be used to do a full dive into another person's mind and get a batter picture of how they tic. If taken to the ultimate conclusion, the Dream Stone would be able to change a person's mind and outlook.

Those are all I know for now- I'll update you if I find out more!

now now.. mh , with all there magic nonesense, and traveling. Im guessing, these arent robots anymore, and they dont even know it yet.. maybe they develop more organic parts, as they kept messing around time - space and magic, and they just didnt notice- becuase the only organic thing is their mind,.. and organic is even too much.. maybe magic just gaved them a extra power to think, feel and act more human than before, reason why sudedently magic affects them

also, as you say! dreams dont make sense - but there is many types of dreams, one where you just go in many funky places, or more "grounded dreams" like say, buying a thing and getting stressed out you must pay too much, and you wake up and you think "I didnt even needed that thing!" so like, for me, there must be a point that, maybe Sun and Moon - even Monty, why not? got into a deep sleep, so deep they dont know it yet.. there's why nothing makes sense - because they are streaming their dreams... they are streaming their dreams, and they dont know it.. the editor, is the only one who knows, and maybe find it hilarous ! so they keep the show running.. this is meta.. oh god..

You opened this can of sardines for me the topic of employed Nolan/what is he gonna do now. Buckle in Buckaroos as I spout some nonsense.

1. He can go work for the NHL (kinda unlikely at this point imo). Despite not being able to play he seems to actually enjoy hockey still. His dad back in his early career had always said that he was a very analytical watcher, replaying parts of games over and over again to figure out what they were doing. I can see him somewhat settling behind a bench as a playmaker, and being a little shit about it. Like making the most annoying but legal plays. I can also see him becoming a bit of an advocate for players and head injuries considering what he's had to go through.

Even if not directly behind the bench or in the NHL there is a possibility for him to work with a smaller team or a more behind the scenes role. It would be private enough for him I feel.

2. Hunting (more likely). Even in pre NHL interviews he constantly brought up his love for the wilderness and hunting and possibly being a hunting guide. This I feel is the most likely possibility. Opening like a little Patrick's hunting guides venture. If I'm being a bit more optimistic and whimsical, an actual hunting store to sell supplies.

This might also mean more social media pat as he promotes himself. He's an advocate for ethical hunting and consuming so I can see him pushing that angle and teaching about how to respect and use the animals.

3. He has a tiktok, "Why the flyers can eat my ass (NHL exposed) Part 1 of 12.

4. Joins Mt. Joy (this is the crack fic one). He's close to the band, can play guitar. Why not? Write a few songs for them, date their pianist (I think that's her role?) Would b cute.

Sorry for rambling, but I do genuinely hope he ends up okay in the end and settles down well after everything he's been through. He doesn't seem like a bad guy and holy fuck has he been put through the wringer. I want him to be okay and succeed in something and not have everything he does be over analyzed by everyone ya know.

(Imma tack this on at the end, I agree at what he was getting with with the mailloux thing cause Trudeau absolutely sucks, but my god man has poor wording choices.)

I think jumping in an NHL job after what he had to go through would be pouring salt on an open wound, for now at least. Realistically it’d be a solid real job to have, tho it’s probably still gonna be way too much attention for him even if it’s behind the scenes. It’d give people too much to talk about. Would be pre sweet if he even took up coaching for a local team, whatever age really.

Please if dude was desperate for money or just to do something I was even thinking how he would probably debate joining his dad in real estate and work for him 😭😭😭😭

Don’t think money is an issue tho, cause he gives me vibes he’s pretty frugal and just living life lmao. Also Manitoba isn’t the most expensive place to live in to what I’m aware of.

Conclusion I really don’t think hes finding a job that’s about $$$ but something he enjoys and what he aligns with, so the hunting and fishing guide is 100% Though he has so many resources to branch out in multiple things.
