i wonder how blythe doll fans feels about the lps bythes, cause like, from a lps fan perspective they always felt like the weirdest possible thing for hasbro to do with the license (the average lps kid, at least when lps blythes were released, tended to not really........care about human dolls lol plus they didnt have bobble heads or magnets) and especially when i was a child who wasnt familiar with normal takara or kenner blythe dolls they straight up didnt feel like they belonged in the same toyline as littlest pet shops just based off of style, the inset eyes really threw baby me for a loop asjfksedanjfds compared to normal blythes the lps blythes are a lot smaller tho so maybe that has some appeal...the lps ones dont have the changing eyes tho....i also wonder if there were any kids who may or may not have been into lps but was really into lps blythes and got into blythe dolls that way

#it was also interesting when i got a little older and a little more internet savvy and i first learned of normal blythe dolls #and i (child who didnt understand licensing agreements) was like....did hasbro make knockoffs of these expensive collectors dolls #its just the wildest thing to me i dunno #such a weird choice........... #like blythes are cute but like.......i cant imagine most children who like lps liked them i mean me and my friends werent that interested #maybe they were trying to expand their reach to get kids who do like fashion dolls? but i guess tying it into the animal brand didnt help #in other news ive gotten really into dolls and toys gomenasai #learned a lot these past couple weeks of staring at doll blogs all day #i have an idea for a custom doll i might try to make to go along with my medicom akira fudo #im thinking i could fuck with a liv doll body enough and maybe i could make a satan.....hmmmmm #id need to basically make his entire face some scratch but hmm............... #i also thought about a mtm barbie but livs got some 70s manga anatomy so that might work better #plus then he'd be a much better size compared to my akira #spent the past week staring at doll crotches to figure out which ones would work with a sculpted dong orz #is this what its like being a doll person. #is this what its like
