mmmmm thinking about all the submas/pla wing aus i’ve seen so time for one of my own! i’m defo pulling from other aus whether i mean to or not, so i’m sorry if some of this is really similar to other ones! i don’t mean to, i j like some of the other ideas but i have my own way i wanted to go with it too
so for the twins, them having black or white wings respectively is cool, but i personally would imagine them having silvery/grey wings - perfectly between their two colors. i also really like the idea that they have wings meant for sharp turns and tight spaces so i’m keeping that. however, i do think that ingo would have found ways to fly or at least glide for slightly longer periods of time, as it would have been really helpful in hisui. he’s still obviously best in the tunnels! however being able to fly in other situations, while not for long, could be the difference between life or death. does this work in the real world? probably not but that’s why i ignore all laws of nature and physics when i come up with shit lmao
akari would be the mc in this, and i would think she would have wings that were the same color as her hair. i also hc that she ends up with a decent amount of silver in her hair due to the stress she’s under in hisui, and her wings reflect it, gaining patches of silver feathers. they’re built for more general flight, although she has specifically worked on adapting techniques for tighter turns and such to her larger wings when possible - makes it much easier to outrun any flying pokémon she may anger while out surveying. ingo hates seeing these tricks because they look very dangerous and unsafe, however this is also coming from the man that flies As Fast As Possible in caves so he can’t say much.
i don’t think that all characters would have wings, however they would be more tied to the clans in hisui, and while more common in modern day, almost all people with wings can trace their ancestry back to the ancient clans of their region, as the wings were due to blessings from those clans’ specific deities, and will vary depending on the region or clan - it’s why despite being similar, the winged in the diamond and pearl clans both have slightly different wings, even if they’re both good for flying for long periods of time. ingo and emmets wings are tied back to the clans of unova, so they have their wings that are adapted more for their region. akari’s wings are actually a mix of diamond and pearl clan’s wings, due to having both of them in her ancestry. no one from jubilife has wings, and so when akari is found they’re a bit confused, as most havent really met the winged from the clan, as they didn’t visit much.
going more into the clans and their winged - the winged tend to be their leaders and wardens, and those with wings are thought to be closer to pokémon, and thus are able to take better care of their nobles, or form bonds with their partner pokémon and help protect the settlements in the case of the leaders. they’re also generally respected due to this, and lord have mercy if you fuck with any of the winged - both clans will Riot. as a general rule, wings are the same as their hair color, so those who dye their hair tend to dye their wings to match. due to ingo’s winged status, despite his wings being very different, and the general wariness towards him, they do at least genuinely feel that he will take good care of Lady Sneasler, and the winged are still worthy of respect in their eyes, even if it’s a skrunkly amnesiac man who yells about trains a lot.
generally, pokémon tend to be a bit less aggressive towards the winged, although it’s not because of anything inherent in the winged for the most part - since the winged deal with pokémon more, they have a tendency to be kinder to the wild pokémon, so the wild pokémon end up eventually just attributing that kindness to the winged in general lol.
due to the clan’s respect for the winged, it made the whole red sky exile thing a lot harder for the galaxy team to deal with in the aftermath. while the leaders and wardens are pissed mostly because akari is their friend, due to the clans’ beliefs that the winged are to be respected, kamado commuted a huge sin turning against one like he did, especially seeing as said winged was respected by all the nobles, and helped out both clans so many times without ever asking for anything in return. they remain peaceful with jubilife, however relations between the groups aren’t really the same. akari is also basically adopted by ingo at this point and so is an honorary member of pearl clan due to this. she’s also welcome within the diamond clan due to being friends with many of them and the help she’s given them, although they will still take the opportunity to playfully argue that she’s becoming one of the “time wasters”
when ingo and akari are able to return to the present, i hc that akari stays in unova bc even with her memories back, ingo has been the only constant for her through a hugely traumatic period, and separating people after that is a no go. while ingo’s back in peak flying conditions, akari struggles to adapt. a lot of amenities for winged in unova are made with the smaller wings common in unova in mind. so, things like chairs, clothing, etc. are often not suited for her, so it takes time to adjust and find ways around it. (thankfully, aunt elesa comes in clutch for the clothes) it also means that she has to find more open spaces to fly, which is… difficult in Nimbasa. people also tend to gawk a bit, as while winged are very common, winged from other regions are decidedly Not, so they’re not used to seeing people who can fly around outside for long periods of time. she ends up just flying at night for the most part, launching from the tops of buildings or the park to avoid people as much possible - she really doesn’t like the stares. this does however have the odd side effect of her becoming a cryptid? she thinks it’s pretty funny and deliberately plays into it sometimes.
anyways, wing aus have always had a spot in my heart, and i absolutely adore them. idk if i’ll write more about it, if i do it’ll probably be tied under the umbrella of “aus within my main pla au i already have” just because it’s easier to adapt it to the existing story i have than just come up with stuff lol

also: universe 2 half-Zoroark au! Here’s some ideas
when Emmet lands in hisui he doesn’t know that ingo is also there (maybe he fell into a rift) so he kinda wanders around for a bit
runs into some Hisuian zorua, they recognize him as a Zoroark but a kinda weird one (because he’s dark type instead of normal/ghost, also the half-human thing) anyways they immediately love him because he catches them dinner and they bring him to see the adult Zoroark
the adults for their part are deeply impressed by his strength but also concerned about how he’s alone. The other Zorua there start asking him to play with them and he obliges, illusioning himself into another Hisuian zorua and chasing them around (he used to play the ‘illusion yourself into a Pokémon and chase your twin around game’), all the zorua are now sold on him because he catches dinner AND plays with them instead of being boring like the other Zoroark? Absolutely they have a new brother now
Emmet is forcefully adopted by the large group of zoroarks, which he’s mostly fine with (still looking for a way home because he misses the trains and a way to track down ingo but the zoroarks have grown on him, the zorua have picked up on his train lingo and repeat it and love it when he tells them stories about the battle subway even if they have no concept of what a subway is)
Note: Hisuian zoroarks still shed despite being part ghost, so Emmet has yarn for days, even teaching a couple of the zoroarks how to knit with claws
Anyways he goes out on trips around the area often, looking around, and he runs into humans sometimes. He wears his coat and hat along with a new pullover knit from Zoroark fur (so it’s red and white) but he’s let his fur grow out because it’s cold, and he usually doesn’t bother with an illusion unless he actually sees people
His team and ingo’s came with him! They get along well with the zoroarks
so rumours spread of the white-clothed figure, a doppelgänger of Warden Ingo followed by 15+ zorua at all times. He’ll challenge you to a battle if you get close, and you won’t win. Sometimes he’ll use two Pokémon at once
The player character (I think you said it was Akari in a previous ask?) gets curious and drags Ingo to go see this mystery
Ingo immeditally gets hit with "I know this man but I don't know why."
All the Zoroark are like "another weird child to adopt" and they just start to travel into lady Sneasler domain to bring food and toys
She is very confused
Ingo can't stay long because he passes out after a bad headache
Emmet doesn't even notice them because he is currently in a pile of zorua and half asleep
Ingo ends up back in the pearl clan but now with a strong desire to return but everyone is telling him don't and you'll get yourself killed
Then a tiny zorua comes in and just goes "Mom wanted me to get you."
Ingo is like who left this child unattended and everyone else is like that is a omen don't touch it why are you picking it up leave it alone
The MC does eventually go on her own to face Emmet she looses but then they have a long talk and Emmet realizes she knows where his brother is and demands to be taken there
The guards at the pearl clan attack on site but it doesn't do much damage
