"In Between Tarot": unboxing e comentário

O "IN BETWEEN TAROT" parte de um conceito bastante original e interessante: cada uma das 78 cartas deste deck de Tarot reúne, numa mesma imagen, símbolos e personagens da carta que a precede ou sucede. Pode parecer confuso esse meu comentário mas, para melhor apreciarmos esse novo produto da italiana Lo Scarabeo, precisamos ter em mente que a Vida (e tudo o que ela significa ou contém) é um fluxo, é cíclica. Quando algo termina, no mesmo instante outro "algo" está surgindo. Por exemplo: quando estamos com um 10 de Copas já estamos vivenciando, novamente, o Ás desse naipe. Sempre entendi que as cartas oraculares são objetos para serem "lidos" e interpretados através das suas ilustrações. Ou seja, as figuras, paisagens, objetos, topografia, animais e plantas, etc., utilizados para ilustrarem a carta devem estar lá por uma razão lógica. Por isso mesmo considero que neste IN BETWEEN TAROT a imagem é de suma importância pois, ao unir o Arcano anterior com o seguinte, a ilustração precisa deixar isso claro e permitir que o Estudante, Cartomante e até mesmo o Consulente percebam esse fluxo de continuidade, esse "in between" (no meio) que liga e justifica a própria sequência do desenvolvimento do Louco. Apesar de ter ficado positivamente surpreso com esse conceito e ter apreciado muito as qualidades gráficas do deck, eu não o recomendaria a quem esteja se iniciando no estudo do Tarot pois sou da opinião que é (quase) sempre mais fácil para o novato basear seu aprendizado num material mais clássico, mais tradicional. Mas isso náo é um impedimento em absoluto e, certamente, será muito apreciado por quem já desenvolveu um maior conhecimento de cada Arcano e da leitura combinada entre eles. Se há alguns anos conhecemos o "Before Tarot" e o "After Tarot", mostrando um momento antes (precursor / motivador) e depois (consequência / continuidade), respectivamente, de cada lâmina, o "Vice Versa Tarot", com a frente e o lado oposto da imagem do Arcano na mesma lâmina, o "In Between Tarot" se preocupa mais com a atração, o magnetismo, a ligação das cartas entre si, num significativo continuum. Dizer que esse conceito é inteiramente novo seria ignorar outros decks, como o "Universal Transparent Tarot", criado por Pierlucca Zizzi e ilustrado por Roberto de Angeli, da mesma Lo Scarabeo, que, através dos recursos de transparência e superposição de suas cartas, "fundiam" ou "integravam" duas ou mais lâminas com o propósito de formar uma terceira, essa sim como o resultado a ser apreendido daquela tiragem. Como já mencionei, a qualidade do deck segue os mesmos padrões adotados pela editora Lo Scarabeo que vão desde a embalagem, passando pelo manual (com 150 páginas e ilustrações a cores) até a gramatura do papel e o estilo e técnica empregados pelo ilustrador.

We lost our queen yesterday. I like to view her as the King of Pentacles, she was always a hard worker, a grafter. She was also more concerned with practicalities and structure than the emotional side we see with the cups courts. Her legacy will now be passed down to her son Charles who I used to view as more of a cups court rather than pentacles. Let’s see now what kind of a king he will turn out to be, will he retain the practical no-nonsense vision of his mum or strike out in a different direction? Lots of mixed opinions on our queen’s passing but I feel as with anyone passing over that I want to be respectful and give thanks for the work she put in.
