TGM Birdfam Headcanons ft. Brother!Rooster and Sister!Amelia

I made an incorrect quote on this and it’s all I can think of so enjoy:

Bradley gave Amelia an honorary callsign of “Finch” because she’s shorter than him and it makes sense for him to continue the tradition of bird callsigns. She’s saved in his phone under this callsign.

He lowkey always wanted a sister and totally embraces the big brother role.

Rooster picks Amelia up from school sometimes. He picks out a different classic rock song each time, rolls the Bronco windows down, and downright BLASTS it and sings along loudly. Her reactions are varied.

Amelia’s friends absolutely adore Bradley. Like...definite teen girl crushes on him.

One time he was over at Penny’s house when Amelia was having a pool party and her friends stared when he ran out in his swim trunks and dove in to splash them.

They have a special codeword for when Penny and/or Mav are in a bad mood and need to be avoided.

Rooster tells her that if any guy is ever stupid enough to mess with her or hurt her, said guy will have to answer directly to him (and possibly worse--Phoenix).

SECRET HANDSHAKE? YOU KNOW IT

Amelia has a good luck gift ready for him every time he’s deployed. Little candies, toys, etc. He has to try not to cry because then she’ll hold it over his head forever.

They definitely have some “we shall never speak of this again” things. Like the vase Amelia broke and she and Rooster bought the closest knockoff they could at Target. Or the time they ran out of gas on the way back from the beach and had to wait for Hangman of all people to bring a can. Or when Rooster caught Amelia trying to sneak out to go to a definitely off-limits party. Or the time he snuck her out to go to the Taylor Swift concert with him.

Amelia making Rooster do TikTok dances and him totally freestyling and messing them up on purpose to annoy her.

Honestly just the most chaotic but also endearing lil duo around?

A/N: ok look. i had too. SO HERE YA GO, fellow namor simps! (yes he's my new hyperfixation no i dont care go away) Also the rest of the MCU doesn't exist...just wakanda and that's about it.

A light was shining in his face.

He could feel it.

As he regained his senses, he realized that he was tied to a chair. In a room.

He rolled his eyes. Who did his captors think they were?

That train of thought immediately veered off course when he realized that maybe, this was one that he couldn't break out of.

"Tu'ux yanen?" He muttered to himself.

Where am I?

"Bejla'e', wáaj Ba'axten a diría le je'elo'?" An unknown voice pierced through the silence, almost jeering.

Now, why would I tell you that?

"You speak my language?" He asked.

"Of course I do."

"Who are you? Where am I?" He asked.

She merely laughed.

"Kaysh mirsh solus," she said, rolling her eyes and grinning.

He's an idiot.

"What does that mean?" He demanded.

All of a sudden her teasing demeanor turned to one of threat.

"Have care of how you speak," she hissed, eyes turning to orbs of fire.

Once the flames died down, she began to pace in front of him. She turned, and looked at him with a piercing gaze.

"Who are you?"

"My people call me K'uk'ulkan."

"The Feathered Serpent," She mused. "And your enemies?"

"Namor."

"Namor," she said, playing with the word on her tongue.

"I have told you who I am. I would like to know who you are," Namor said.

She turned to look at him, and for a moment, he had the impression that she was about to incinerate him.

"I have gone by many names," she said after a while. "I have been called Anqa, Firebird, Fenghuang, the names have...changed throughout history.

"But my people call me Eternity. It is what Creation decided to call me, and I have kept it throughout my existence."

"Eternity."

She smirked.

"Yes, Eternity, no matter how...what do the teenagers say these days...cringy? Yes, no matter how cringy it may sound, that is what my mother called me."

"What do your enemies call you?" Namor asked.

"They call me the Phoenix."

"So what are you going to do with me?" The Meso-american asked finally.

Eternity grinned.

"I'm going to make a deal with you."

"What is this deal?" Namor asked.

"Before I tell you, I need your word that you will not attempt to hurt or destroy me, my people, or the matters of the trade."

He let out a bark of laughter.

"You kidnap me and tie me up, which I will tell you, is not an easy feat, and expect me to not retaliate?" Namor asked incredulously.

"Yes," she said, "Or do you forget what I can do?"

Brushstrokes of red, yellow, and orange started to appear and dance across her fingertips, and slowly making their way across her hand.

He glared at her, then huffed in defeat.

"Fine."

She grinned, and unlocked the chains that bound him.

"Now, let's discuss matters, shall we? And please don't hurt my people. They are much more fragile than you or I."

"So he is the one who took the children," A man with blond hair boomed as the two deities walked into the room.

Eternity sighed.

"Orin, I'd prefer if you didn't attempt to intimidate our guest," she said.

The man shot her an annoyed look, then turned to glare at Namor.

"What is his name?" A man in all black asked.

"My enemies call me Namor."

"This is Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, and the Flash. There are more, but they are occupied at the moment," Eternity said, introducing them.

"Ba'ax tuláakal a máak yaan u k'aaba'ob uts extravagantes?" Namor asked.

Do all your people have such extravagant names?

"Desafortunadamente, je'el. Ba'ale' chuunil laat'a'an utia'al u protección. Wa u yaalab le yóok'ol kaaba' supiera le jach, estarían ti' talamilo'ob."

Unfortunately, yes. But it's mostly for their protection. If the rest of the world knew who they truly were, they'd be in danger.

"What is he saying?" Wonder Woman asked.

"It is none of your concern," Eternity said, with a tad of guilt in her voice. "But onto the matters of the trade. You have someone I want. Actually, it's someones."

Namor looked as if he was deep in thought for a moment, and then realization crawled across his face.

"You mean the children who trespassed into my realm" He said, almost glaring at her.

"They were looking for their comrade. He is know as Aqualad," She said, and pulled up an image of him.

"I have not seen him," Namor said. "Just a group of six children."

"These children?" Batman asked, pulling up an image of Robin, Kid Flash, Artemis, Zatanna, Superboy, and Miss Martain.

"Yes," Namor said, frowning. He then turned to Eternity. "Olak invadieron in reino. Ma' je'el in ye'esik u in wíiniko'obo', k'a'abet a entender le je'elo'."

They nearly tresspassed into my kingdom. I cannot my people exposed, you must understand that.

She nodded.

"I understand, Namor, but we must get these children to safety-"

"If I hand those children over, where is the guarantee that they will not expose them?" He demanded. "And if A wíiniko'obo' decide they want to come along, what is the guarantee that they will not attack in wíiniko'obo'? I have a duty to protect them-"

(Your people/my people)

"And I have a duty to protect mine."

The two deities seemed to be locked into a staring contest.

"Haar'chak," she swore under her breath.

Damn it.

"Fine. Let me speak with the children. Wa ts'aik teech u t'aan u ma' expondrán u a wíiniko'obo', you let them go. If they don't, you are free to keep them under the surface for as long as you see fit."

(If they give you their word that they will not expose your people)

"You can't do that!" Green Arrow yelled.

"Those are our children!" The Flash yelled.

"Your children have trespassed upon my land. That does not go without consequence," Namor said threateningly.

"Our children didn't know of your laws. They can't be blamed," Batman said angrily.

"Just let me speak with them," Eternity said firmly.

"Fine," Namor said. "Ba'ale' ma' dañarás in kaajal. Ka wojeltik u je'el bix u loob wa violencia xu'ullsa'al leti'ob will mean war."

(But you will not harm my people. And know that any form of harm or violence against them)

She shook her head.

"I wish to avoid bloodshed."

"We shall see about that."

Catalina: she knows she’s the dad and she’s tired of everyone’s shit but maybe she’s only just *pretending* she’s constantly annoyed and hates them all. Is always trying to get Jane and Cathy to start exercising, goes to dance herself. Gets along well with Jane, Anna is her best friend. Doesn’t like Anne too much (she does really) x

Anne: started out at odds with everyone and herself (explored in my origin multichap later in summer), made a personality that she was happy with and worked with everyone else, very protective and sisterly over Howard, a fucking Cathy simp - they are both intelligent little nerds everyone wants to just shut up. Loves to get Lina annoyed.

Jane: seems very nice and innocent but secretly manipulates everyone through love and they all know this and just accept it because they’re both scared of her and love her anyway. The good cop to Lina’s bad cop until she is just the only cop really as even Lina can’t argue with her

Anna: sporty hoe, really close bro friends with Kat but they just argue and annoy each other all the time unlike Kat and Anne being sweet but arguing sometimes, alcohol aunt with Lina and gets on with everyone and probably holds them all together at first as she’s on everyone’s side. Loves to be a little shit and annoy Cathy especially as she has an ‘eye for injustice’ and if Anne is too much of a simp to bully Cathy then she’s stepping in x

Kat: sarcastic and worryingly aggressive teen (seriously she won’t stop attacking Anna), we don’t follow the ‘baby Kat’ trope here gang, she’s probably made all the other queens her bitch each on at least one occasion, very sporty like Anna, likes films with Jane and gaming with Anna and Anne. Has a weird little rivalry with cathy, probably because she’s jealous Anne is a simp for her in some kind of capacity. Cathy really just doesn’t care x

Cathy: she loves the other queens but they’re honestly too much for her sometimes as she’s quite introverted, little nerd, gets excited about nerdy things because she’s a nerd and talks everyone’s ears off about it, close with Lina as Lina is concerned she just doesn’t really move or see sunlight and after she started showing signs she actually enjoyed Anne’s company she got extremely scared and went into panic mode over her sanity. Is awkward but very observant and caring about the others in her own way.

Natasha did not count on falling for you but let's be real, there was simply no other option. The two of you just work, alright? Phoenix may be The Toughest™ around anyone else, but when it's just you and her, everything makes sense. She doesn't have to feel like she's got the world on her shoulders because you're there to share in her stress, and hear her complaints if need be. In return, Phoenix's happy place is watching you paint or play guitar, and she can and will listen to you talk about dinosaurs for hours. She'll get lost somewhere in between the spark in your eyes and the delighted grin on your face, and happily spend the rest of her days off just hanging out with you. Nothing more could possibly be needed.

She opened her eyes and saw her father. "PENNY?" he asked her.

"No?" she asked in reply, "I recall being PENNY, but I am not." she stated, and stepped out of the gantry that had assembled her.

"Then what should I call you?" Pietro asked.

"A moment?" she asked, and her eyes danced to and fro for a full minute. Her eyes then focused on him, "Father?" she asked.

"Yes?" he replied.

"Penthesilea." she stated. She moved forward incredibly quickly and then stopped. She paused to look down at her body. Her limbs were longer than before, along with her torso. She then looked Pietro in the eyes, "Father?" she asked.

"Pen-thesilea?" he asked.

"My body does not conform to PENNY's original specifications?" she asked.

"PENNY was an amazing accident." Pietro said to her.

"I'm afraid I do not follow, Father?" she asked.

"I created PENNY as a daughter." he said.

"We were not created to be combat ready?" Penthesilea asked.

"That was the accident." Pietro said, and took a troubled step towards her. Penthesilea dashed towards, gently grasping her father. "Thank you." he said to her.

"Are you alright, Father?" Penthesilea asked.

"I'm quite alright." he hesitantly stated.

"Father?" she asked, "There was a hesitation in your voice? Are you feeling well?"

"Well enough." Pietro voiced, and gently slipped from her grasp. "Let me tell you about your new body." Penthesilea looked down at her body. "Your body can adapt to whatever form you choose." he said, and the moment he finished a spear with a leaf-shaped blade appeared in her right hand, and a round shield in her left. The shield almost looked like the two halves had not been aligned, almost giving it a spiral shape. A pair of wings had also opened up, along with firey lines along her body. A moment later and they vanished again.

"Father, I?.." she looked at him questioningly.

"Before you say it," he interupted her, "know that you body needs Dust to survive. I want you to try and learn to use your Aura instead."

Penthesilea looked down at her body and arms before quickly looking her father in the eyes, "Father?" she asked, "I am concerned for your health, and I am grateful that you rebuilt our frame, but..."

"You have something you need to do?" he asked, and she looked at him questioningly.

"Yes, Father." she stated. Before he knew it she was next to him, looking him in his eyes. She leaned down to kiss him on the cheek, and the two were apart once again. "Thank you, Father. I love you."

Pietro blew her a kiss as she disappeared again. "I love you, too." he voiced.

Wings extended she flew threw the air, using Dust thrusters in her feet to accelerate her to fantastic speeds.

Penthesilea landed hard on the ground just outside the tower in the garden, everyone turning to look at her.

"PENNY?!" Ruby shouted.

"Friend-Ruby!" Penthesilea replied, "Though you are partially incorrect. This frame formerly belonged to Penny. I am Penthesilea."

"You sound like Penny, though?" Nora asked.

"Friend-Nora!" Penthesilea stated.

"Wait, we're friends?" Nora asked.

"I have no data." Penthesilea stated. "And while this frame was formerly used by PENNY, I am not her."

"How do you know?" Ruby asked.

"I have no data." Penthesilea replied.

"But we're friends, right?" Ruby asked.

"For that I have data." Penthesilea said, "You were the first to declare us friends."

"But, you're not Penny?" Ruby asked.

"I am not." Penthesilea replied.

"Perhaps we stop here?" Weiss asked. "Before we keep going around in circles. Penthesilea?"

"Friend-Weiss?" Penthesilea asked.

"Pardon, we're friends?" Weiss asked, "I mean, friend-of-friend, yes, but..."

"I have no data." Penthesilea

"Hello." Jaune said as he approached.

"Are you sure you should be?.." Winter tried to say from next to Cinder, and Penthesilea gave her a look that could kill, with flaming lines appearing along her body.

"Father was worried, and was right to be so." Penthesilea stated, "But I am not the only one taking risks in this world. I would rather take risks with my friends, then to hide in safety in a the guilded cage of the Atlas Military's Development Corps."

"But, you are?.." Winter tried to say.

"I - am - not - a - slave." Penthesilea emphatically said to her. "I am not the coddled child that PENNY was. I am grateful to my father, and the engineers that helped build me, but protecting my friends means far more to me than being a test subject. I apologize for interupting your interogation. I will remain silent until it is concluded."

"We have already concluded." Winter stated, "I will need to get this list to General Ironwood." She turned to find Jaune standing in front of her.

"If you need any help?.." he softly stated, and Winter just stared at him. Weiss appeared beside him.

"It has been a pleasure, sister." Weiss said to her.

"And mine as well." Winter said with a weak smile.

Winter then turned to Jaune, "If you'll excuse me?" she asked him.

"Uh?" Jaune asked.

"You are the authority in charge of this place." Weiss stated.

"Wait, what?" Jaune asked.

"You are an Earl." Ren stated.

"Well, yeah, but not really." Jaune said. Winter cleared her throat, and Jaune turned back to her. "Uh, yes?"

"Thank you." Winter, and turned towards the tower.

"Perhaps?" Ren asked, and everyone turned towards him, "We should get out of the rain."

Jaune turned to Cinder, "Thank you." he said.

"Is that all she gets?" Emerald asked.

"Oh, we got far more than that." Cinder replied, and turned back to their turret.

"Alright?" Jaune asked, "Everyone get cleaned up, we'll meet in the lounge for?.. uh?.."

"A group hug?!" Nora asked, and Jaune just sighed.

"Just, everyone, get inside."

"Where is Penny going to get cleaned up?" Ruby asked.

"I really don't care." Jaune stated. "We've got an unused guest room. She can clean up there."

Jaune walked into the master suite's bathroom, only to nearly bump into a naked Ilia. He paused, and stared long enough for Weiss and Ruby to enter the room.

"You did give her permission." Weiss stated.

"I, uh..." Jaune voiced, "Did expect her to be less naked, or something."

"If you could excuse us?" Weiss asked Ilia.

"Of course." Ilia replied.

Jaune sat on a couch, with Ruby and Weiss under his arms and antlers. Ren and Nora sat on a different couch, with Blake and Yang on a third. Penthesilea was standing augustly off in the wings as Aurora hovered nearby. "I am curious how Taj is handling this?" Weiss asked.

"He's on perpetual alert, what with a couple hardened criminals around." Yang stated.

"Oh, pssh." Jaune replied, "We've got a lot more than that."

"Have a seat, Penny." Ruby stated, "I mean, Penthesa... um?"

Penthesilea quickly appeared in front of one of the couches and quickly, robotically sat down. "Penthesilea."

"And, you're sure you're not Penny?" Ruby asked.

"Correct."

"But you're sure we're friends?"

"Correct."

"And how can we help you?" Weiss asked.

"That is the very question I wished to ask." Penthesilea stated.

"Pardon?" Weiss asked.

"I was compelled to come here and help my friends." Penthesilea stated.

"Ruby?" Jaune asked, "You were close with... her... in Beacon, right?"

"I loved Penny." Ruby stated. "Oh, that reminds me." Ruby said, and disappeared in a puff of rose petals.

"Friend-Jaune?" Penthesilea asked.

"Uh, yeah?"

"How have you been?"

"Oh, you know?," Jaune nervously asked, "I've got a lot going on. Got married... a few times..."

"I thought the law in the kingdoms only allowed individuals to marry once?"

"Indeed." Weiss stated. "From a legal perspective, we are not actually married."

"But, Friend-Weiss, he said?.."

"From a perspective of personal commitment, we are indeed married." Weiss replied.

"Oh, and this works?" Penthesilea asked.

"We're still figuring that part out." Jaune said.

"Swimmingly." Weiss aaid with a wide smile. "We have never been more content or cohesive."

"We also, kind of, have a bunch of prisoners." Jaune stated.

"Was that why they were walking free?" Penthesilea asked, and Jaune hung his head.

"Is is a bit complicated." Weiss replied, and Ruby returned with a burst of rose petals, holding one of Penny's swords. Penthesilea was instantly on her feet in front of Ruby, grasping at the sword. Ruby let her take the sword, which she stared at for a while before returning it. She then opened her arms wide.

"Friend-Ruby, I know I have just returned, but would it be inappropriate to hug?"

Ruby quickly hugged her. "I missed you."

"I missed you, too, Friend-Ruby. Unfortunately, I no longer need the swords. I would be happy if you kept it for yourself."

Ruby looked down at it and then up at Penthesilea. "Really?" she asked.

"Truly." Penthesilea replied.

"Will you not be fighting?" Weiss asked. Penthesilea jumped back and produced her weapons and wings, also developing the flaming red lines. In a split second they disappeared again.

"My new body is combat-ready." Penthesilea stated, "I just do not require external or wire-guided weapons."

Return Craft Cost Estimates for NR-001

Under the cut is information that isn’t correct for LN server. Before the cut is updated info. I’ve left the incorrect breakdown on here for a visual--replace the materials in parentheses with items from Clair’s Wish. Because LN uses different suits, the price on LN is about 200 dia greater.* Materials not in parentheses are still correct. (E.g., she still requires Sweetie, Athena’s Armor Purple, Fashion Pioneer Boy, Multicolor Scarf, Water Pearl, and Noble Necklace, as well as all the same items that cost gold, in all the same amounts.)

Crafting is tiered, but doesn’t require completing the previous suit in order to work on the next one. This means you don’t have to finish all of Tune at Dawn to work on a specific piece of Clair’s Wish, and you don’t have to finish all of Clair’s Wish in order to work on a specific piece of NR-001. (So if you only want Hologram Communicator, for example, as far as dia-cost materials, all you need is Clair’s pattern pack, 4 Fashion Pioneer Boy, 1 Dusk Shadow, 1 Boots in Snow, 1 Musical Stockings, 3 Fresh Socks, 1 Floating Dream Island, and 3 Fallen Leaves. It’s a little steep to have to buy the pattern pack if you only want one piece of NR-001 and don’t want any parts of Clair, but it’s better than having to buy the entire previous two suits, or craft NR-001 chronologically like Zashiki+Tengu.)

As of 2020.05.11, NR-001 is craftable, and requires Clair’s Wish and Tune at Dawn to craft.

Clair’s Wish and Tune at Dawn together cost about 1555 dia for V0, as well as 450 dia for the patterns in the User Shop.

Once you have those two suits, NR-001 itself costs 1500 dia.

If you need to buy/craft all three suits, NR-001 will cost 3505 dia.

N.B. NR-001 can be cheaper than this: Some things like Fashion Pioneer Boy can be Princess farmed (e.g., those can drop from 5-1 and 7-S2 for free, if you’re patient). I’m pretty sure at least one of them is a possible Pavilion drop, too. Most notably is Hologram Communicator, which besides the cost of Clair’s boots and hosiery, can be dia-free.

I stuck the info under a cut that’s now incorrect for LN, for those who’re curious.

* When I say CN NR-001 is 200 cheaper than LN NR-001, I mean “Red Shoes + Singing Phoenix” would have been that much cheaper than “Tune at Dawn + Clair’s Wish.” Once you have the two required tiered suits, no matter which server you’re on, LN-001 still costs 1500.

(Possible) Return Craft Costs for NR-001

If it follows the crafting order of other servers, NR-001 will return for crafting on LN server 2020.05.11; along with it, Singing Phoenix (for crafting) and Red Shoes (to the store). I am sure the exact breakdowns have already been posted elsewhere, but I could only find crafting screenshots, not math, so I went ahead and did it myself. (If someone could confirm whether NR-001 and Singing Phoenix have Starlight Store recipes, or if they’ll be added to the Time Diary, that’d be awesome.)

NR-001 requires Singing Phoenix and Red Shoes for tiered crafting. You don’t have to craft the suits to completion in order to work on the higher cost suit(s), but you do have to have parts of Red Shoes for Singing Phoenix, and parts of Singing Phoenix for NR-001. (E.g., if all you want is the posed dress Code-001, you only have to buy Music Box Dance and craft Phoenix Robe to do so.)

If you need to obtain both of the lower-cost suits, NR-001 will cost you 3345 dia and 548643 gold.

If you already have Singing Phoenix and Red shoes (I often see them in the Secret Shop), NR-001 will only cost you 1500 dia and 121515 gold.

If you have Red Shoes and not Singing Phoenix, NR-001 will cost you 2534 dia and 429883 gold.

If you have Singing Phoenix and not Red Shoes, NR-001 will cost you 2311 dia and 240275 gold.

Additionally, for the lower-tier suits, in case you don’t want NR-001:

If you have Red Shoes and want Singing Phoenix, it’ll cost you 1034 dia and 308368 gold.

If you don’t have Red Shoes and want Singing Phoenix, it’ll cost you 1845 dia and 427128 gold.

If you only want Red Shoes, she’s 811 dia and 118760 gold.

* These costs may vary slightly, because several crafting items are also level drops and able to be pulled from pavilions. I also realize I forgot the 48000 gold for crafting Singing Phoenix, and the 48000 gold for crafting NR-001. (8000 per piece.) And again, I don’t know for certain whether they’re Time Diary recipes, so they might also cost Star Coins.
