Kaseh is one of the young boys from the village. While the men were off at war, he spent a lot of his time with Sokka, even more than his own mother. He followed him around an idolized him, he practically became a mini-Sokka. When Sokka left with Katara to help the Avatar he was devastated, but it only furthered the hero worship Kaseh felt towards Sokka. When the war was over and they came back to the Water Tribe, Kaseh was overjoyed, exited to hear about all the adventures Sokka had. He also needed Sokka more than ever since he found out his dad passed in the final weeks of the war. For the next two years, they spend a lot of time together when Sokka wasn’t traveling. Sokka sharing his stories of the world and love of creating with Kaseh. However, Kaseh’s mother suddenly falls ill and Kaseh is soon left an orphan. Sokka already caring deeply for Kaseh takes him under his wing and soon adopts him. During this time of adjustment Sokka stops traveling, instead sending letters to his friends to communicate with them, most of the letters now featuring stories of Kaseh and his fondness for the kid. Most of his friends do end up coming to visit, especially Aang because of Katara, all of them meeting Kaseh. Yet, for the first two years after adopting Kaseh Sokka doesn’t see Zuko, busy trying to obsolete the monarchy. However, his correspondence with Zuko is the richest and most consistent, sending and receiving a letter every week. Sokka and Zuko therefore growing closer and developing feeling they don’t understand even without seeing each other in person. With each letter he receives from Sokka, Zuko’s feelings for the man grows stronger, as well an unexpected fondness for Kaseh, a boy he’s never met. After two year Zuko get’s sent to the Southern Water tribe for work and finally gets to see Sokka again and meet Kaseh.

This was supposed to be for @zukkaweek prompt zukka dads but it’s extremely late. It’s technically only sokka dad, but it’s pre-Zukka dads. There will probably be a part two (hopefully)

I finally got around to reading "In the darkest shade of blue", and I just wanna say how much I loved it!!! It was so good, like I finished it and just wanted to re-read right after. The way you portrayed their issues and their relationship through these issues, and how they're dealing with them was, just wow...chef's kiss.

I just wanted to say I really enjoy your writing (retgmt is also one my favourites, I just love how you portray them)

Omg, I just finished reading your "a cardinal hits the window" series, and let me just say THAT WAS AMAZING. It was so goood!!!! I'm a very visual person so I like never cry for written work but those fics made me cry like a baby, Just wow, they made me very sad, in the best possible way! this is from a modern au jetru fic with a one sided jetko situation based on “a loving feeling” by mitski!

Jet came to the bar alone. Zuko didn’t.

Jet sat at a table by himself with the fruitiest drink he’d ever had in front of him (the special of the night, something cherry). He took a few sips and preserved the atomic red liquid in his mouth, daring the alcohol to win over the sickly sweet flavor of the drink.

He swallowed hard when Zuko walked in, at first out of excitement at those dazzling golden eyes staring right into his own. But Jet’s eyes flickered downward when Zuko stepped all the way inside and revealed he was holding someone’s hand. He wasn’t looking at Jet anymore, either.

As they made their way to the bar, Jet recognized the stranger by the back of his ponytail: Sokka. Jet’s arms leaned against the table as he considered his options; he could storm over to Zuko and demand an explanation (but he had neither the right nor exclusivity with Zuko to do that), he could leave (but where would he go?), or he could stay right where he was and come to terms with his shitty, overpriced drink.

With an exasperated huff, Jet threw his straw on the table and downed the remainder of the drink. It tasted like sugary danger and revenge and fury. Though the drink was poisonous on Jet’s tongue, he sidled his way to the bar for another.

“Another special?” the bartender asked.

“No,” Jet shuddered, and the bartender bit back a laugh. “Just a shot of whiskey for me. Thanks.”

The bartender's eyebrows shot up skeptically. “That’s quite a leap,” he replied as he readied the whiskey in a shot glass.

“Yeah. It is,” Jet replied, though his attention was on the dance floor, where Zuko and Sokka were dancing closely with their foreheads pressed together despite the up tempo music. The sound of the shot glass on the bar startled Jet, and the bartender definitely took note.

“Thanks,” Jet mumbled before bringing the glass to his lips and draining it of its amber liquid. He made a face, then slammed it back down and said, “Another.”

The bartender grimaced, but he filled the glass once more. After he watched Jet take the second shot, the bartender took the glass away, and Jet held his hands up in confusion.

“See where that gets you, cowboy,” the bartender said, and Jet’s eyes rolled into the back of his head.

To the bartender’s back, Jet asked, “Hey, what’s your name?” and ignored the slight slurring of his words.

The bartender sighed heavily and turned back to face Jet. As he glared at him, Jet got a better look at his long brunette hair that was tied half up with two long strands of hair pulled out in front, and a headband around his forehead. His scowling eyes gleamed emerald even in the ambient lighting.

“Haru,” the bartender breathed flatly, punctuated by the crossing of his arms and the rolling of his eyes.

“Well, Haru,” Jet said emphatically, and quieted the recognition that he liked the way it sounded, “why don’t you pour the shots, and I’ll worry about what’s too much?”

Haru laughed, short and cynical. He set the glass he was drying and its towel on the bar to rest both of his palms against it. He slid one finger along a groove in the wood until it ended at the shot glass.

Haru picked it up and asked, “Are you sure that’s all you’re worried about?” Before he turned around to pour another, Haru’s eyes glanced towards Sokka and Zuko, who were making out in the middle of the dance floor.

Something big and violent and cherry flavored flipped in Jet’s stomach. He groaned and buried his face in his hands, feeling like a particularly special brand of idiot.

Zukka Week day 2/3 Childhood friends-Domesticity @zukkaweek

They met because because Kaya and Ursa both took an art class and really got along there. At first Sokka and Zuko only hung out because their moms wanted to spend time together themselves. They only started liking each other when they found they both thought swords were cool. They also got even closer when their moms died around the same time and they would only talk to each other about it.

Mai dyed her hair with Sokka

I will never forget how when watching atla with my sister, instead of her appreciating the masterpiece that is boiling rock for all it’s glory and shipping possibilities wether it be zukka, mailee, sukka, maiko or zukki, she pointed out :

“ Wow Sokka really saw a girl with the exact same haircut as his dad, and thought she should be my girlfriend”

Like she had nothing to say about : I’m never happy, I have to regain my honour, that gloomy girl who sighs a lot, my first girlfriend turned into the moon, that’s rough buddy, take a bite out of the silver sandwich SUKI *heart eyes*, Sokka!, you kinda burned down my village, Yes, I have, completely ( Sokka’s bi awakening), if you two are done cuddling, I’m not leaving without you Sokka, I’m staying too, my dad doesn’t have a nose ring, the warden’s my uncle you idiot, believe me she doesn’t, hey fellas I think your girlfriend’s taking care of it, sorry warden you’re my prisoner now, saving the jerk who dumped me, you miscalculated, I love zuko more then I fear you, the best meat of all the meat the meat of friendship and fatherhood, and lets all the fighting together, committing treason together, holding each other and the saving each others lives. She had all this to talk about and she chose to say that.

Sokka needed comfort after the surgery, he cried when they got home and the anesthesia finally wore off. The pain and the overwhelming sensations of the surgery caught up to him.

Sokka really wants people Zuko to know he is bisexual.

“ Zuko, can you help me pick out what to wear ? ”

“ Sure ! ”

Zuko is in fact sitting on Sokka’s bed while he shows him his different sweaters. Zuko is very much enjoying the view.

So I made Zuko’s point a view real quick, he can be quite dense when it comes to love Sokka.

Anyways this is based off a tiktok. I had already posted Sokka’s part but I added Zuko’s Pov so i made a new post, i wasn’t sure if i was supposed to just post it with the other ( is there an unwritten rule i’m supposed to follow :/ ?).
