The way the internet comes for independent cartoon creators is insane. I saw it with Vivian and her stuff and now with the Amazing Digital Circus. I thought it was just okay, but people snapping at it and its fandom, and then blaming the show for the actions of this fandom...People never have that type of negative energy for CN or Netflix cartoons and their creators. The She-Ra creator got a slap on the wrist for his racist comments. Vivian and people like her can never seem to catch a break, she's had a lot more controversies, but IMO, people would've never made as big a deal about things like the old VAs being replaced (which is shitty) if she was a part of a bigger budget studio.

Channel 4 Commissions Three Daily Editions of "Steph's Packed Lunch"

The lunchtime magazine show hosted by Steph McGovern will now air morning and evening additions in addition to its usual 12:30pm slot.

Channel 4 have denied that the move comes in amidst a flurry of budget cuts which has seen other shows cancelled. At the same time a future series of First Dates has been reduced to two episodes.

On May 3rd, We will observe the World Press Freedom Day 2023.

Spotlight the link between press freedom, freedom of expression and other rights.

This year’s Special 30th anniversary celebration of World Press Freedom Day is therefore a call to recentre press freedom, as well as independent, pluralistic and diverse media, as necessary key to the enjoyment of all other human rights. This anniversary coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Vienna Conference and its Declaration and Programme of Action on Human Rights, which established important institutions safeguarding human rights, and with the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

On this occasion, the global community will debate and set the agenda for both the development of human rights and how to protect them in an everchanging world, and World Press Freedom Day will serve as an opportunity to put a strong focus on freedom of expression within the overall human rights agenda. World Press Freedom Day 2023 is thus an occasion to organize events that spotlight the link between press freedom, freedom of expression and other rights.

In complete seriousness, they need to make laws about ads that say they can take no more than one, maybe two, clicks/taps to close/skip. No more "wait 10 seconds until you can skip the video, wait 10 seconds until you can skip the fake playable ad, wait 5 seconds until you can close the 'download now' overlay, puts up a half-screen in-app appstore pop-up (which at least you can close immediately)." This should literally be illegal to do.

Edit: this is blowing up so I just wanted to add (haha ad) that this was my "reasonable request" I also think there should be way more and way stricter laws around all advertising in general. I think most advertising as we know it today should be abolished.
