How to deal with feeling stuck, confused and  exhausted?  “When life becomes too complicated and you feel overwhelmed, it’s often useful just to stand back and remind yourself of your overall purpose, your ultimate goal. When faced with a feeling of stagnation and confusion, it is helpful to take an hour, an afternoon, or even several days to simply reflect on what it is that will truly bring you happiness and satisfaction, and then reset your priorities based on that. This will put your life back in proper context, allow a fresh perspective, and enable you to see which direction to take.” - Dalai Lama (Art OF Happiness) #selfhelpbooks #booksofig #nonfictionbooks #bestbooksever #bookwormlife #readingtime #bookhighlights #personaldevelopment #readersofinstagram #readreadread #mustread #books #indianbookstagrammer #readthisbook #bookaddict #indianbookstagrammer #indianbookblogger #bookstagramindia #selfhelpquotes #booknotes #bookhighlights #bookaddiction #bookrec #bookexcerpts #dalailama #newyearnewme #2023goals https://www.instagram.com/p/Clk3RAzPI_M/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Who else loves the anthology Black Sci-Fi Short Stories?? Which was your favorite story in the collection? Reposted from @book_withquotes @flametreepress 🍁🍁 This is a compilation of short stories by Black authors. The tales’ settings waver a sketch of time- from the times of subjugation and abuse to superheroes and the far-off future. Most sections are short stories, however, three are more similar to novella length. All accounts are elegantly composed. A few stories stand apart to me for an assortment of reasons. Two stories are outstanding as a result of their furious, melodious yet undaunted, exposition, which ends up highlighting the relationship of two dark females constrained into servitude. I don’t want to spoil much about the stories, so go ahead and read the book. 🍁🍁 Rating of the book - 4⭐/5⭐ 🍁🍁 For full review, click the link in bio. This is not a book review. This is a Thanksgiving post. Keep your expectations at peace. First and foremost, to the author @juliettecrossauthor for bringing this world into fiction, for choosing my least favorite bollywood actor (but don't admit it publicly for safety reasons) and actually making Devraj worth 346 pages. Secondly, @_bookish_affair_ for constantly reminding me what a good book this is and staying on DM while I was screeching and screaming overwhelmed. Thirdly to the Man of the book himself. Mr. Devraj Kumar, for reminding me even though I am slowly turning into a wolf-girl, I'll forever be on my knees for the vampires, my darling divine creature. My days are better necessarily because you live inside my head. Fourthly, after reading this book, I've learned the pronunciation of 'swoon induce seduction' it sounds like determined Devraj Kumar in stereotypical Indian accent. So, thank you for leaving me hotter than the summer in my hometown alone. I am so exasperated, that I am high on euphoria. Fifthly, it is more of a wish really, to find and enjoy a gardener character. Isadora delivered all the greenhouse greatness and then some more, with love and kind eyes, adorably. And finally, the Savoi sisters has it right. Living unapologetically, being their best versions by the day, witching around at night. Helping people and hosting special dinners. Bending rules, keeping harmony with the world, falling in love bravely and existing in epic romances. . . Enough about me, let's talk about you. Who is your favorite Savoi lover? What is your favorite paranormal romance? What is your favorite Savoi sister? . . #devrajkumar #stayaspell #juliettecross #paranormalromance #paranormalromancebooks #vampireromance #smuttyromance #witchromance #indianbookstagrammer #bookrecommendations #bookloversofinstagram #bookreview #bookboyfriend #highlyrecommended #bookishflatlay #ireadromance #iloveparanormalromance #romancebookstagram #romancebookaddict #ereader #ebookworm #kindleromance (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ci6r4VnruK2/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Our story begins with our mothers'- for when she is conceived, one half of us is already present in her. Metaphorically, yes? But let's come down to the bare bones. A girl is born with all the eggs she will ever have- we are a part of our mothers long before we become an idea, a desire, a wish. I've avoided picking this book for the longest time; I am known to cry copiously, especially at emotionally charged words. And an ode to a dead mother who ends her life at 51 years was certainly going to have me weep buckets. It didn't. Handke writes about his mother seven weeks after her death-in parts to make sense of this loss & to capture the entirety of 'her'. So he begins- she as a child, as a young woman learning the vocabulary of this world, a wife, a mother, an essential but ignored limb of the society, a matron who finds herself (better late than never) to only realise just how late that is & then… I didn't know there were controversies around Handke. This work, though, is just a testimony to love felt and experienced. This pithy German book, mere 78 pages, is held down by the beauty of the prose. Grief has words and more than wrenching your heart out- they wipe the muck off our vision. If sadness were words- A Sorrow Beyond Dreams would be those. And what it really says is… It's already too late, it's already too less. Go tell your mother you love her. #peterhandke #asorrowbeyonddreams #germanbooks #pushkinpress #nobelprizeliterature #austrianliterature #translatedliterature #translatedbooks #delhibookstagrammer #indianreaders #bookstagramindia #addictedtobooks #coffeeandbooks #bookishthoughts #neverwithoutabook #nonfictionreads #nevernotreading #januaryreads #2023readingchallenge #indianbookstagrammer #mumbaibookstagram (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn8b4EzLM6q/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Many thanks to @Berkley for eARC. #BookReview The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Dead Romantics is beautiful and emotive paranormal contemporary that follows Florence Day, a ghostwriter for a bestselling romance author, who no longer believes in romance or happily ever after and was having very bad day – New editor, Ben, refused to give her extension of deadline for the last book she is ghostwriting for the author; Her ex’s new book is coming out that is actually her story he stole; and she receives news of her father’s death that makes her return to her hometown that chased her away a decade ago. To make it worse when she returns home she finds ghost of Ben at her family’s funeral parlor. It was interesting to see how she will deal with loss, ghost of new editor, family wounds, her past with the town, and the deadline of the book. The story is about grief, loss, death, betrayal, unresolved past, self-belief, confidence, friendship, acceptance, and learning the meaning of love. The best part is the setting of Days Gone Funeral Home and Mairmont, its community, characters and most of all how death, loss, and grief is dealt in the story. it was beautiful the way the author represented it, how every person deals with their loss, and I loved how Day family chose to deal with it. Even though the theme of the book is serious and emotive, it doesn’t feel too poignant. There is equal amount of love, happiness, and comfort. Overall, this is poignant, touching, heartwarming, beautiful and ghostly paranormal contemporary with many layers and amazing quirky characters. See out check list and quote in 2nd, 3rd pic. Hi bookworm, Hope you are doing well and reading tonnes of books. I have been with my family for past few days and celebrated Holi, the Hindu fastival. I am in my village so that is the reason I can't post anything because of the network issue. But that's not what we are here for today. This book is my new home to wounded heart. It's the story of my homeland written with pain of families that were uprooted and torn apart because of their differences. It's the testament of cruelty which happened years ago when a country finally breathed the air of freedom only to watch her children bleeding and dying and hatred poisoning it's soil . And I admire the author to tell this tale from the female perspective and gave them the honour which are often neglected in our history textbooks. This is the must read. Tell me which book call out your soul? #bookreader #independance #chitrabanerjeedivakaruni #indianbookstagram #indianbookstagrammer #indianbookblogger #indianbookreviewer #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #booksofinstagram #bookish #bookphotography #bibliophile #bookaesthetic #readstagram #bookishpost #bookworld #ilovebooks #bookishlyengaged #bookstagramit #readreadread #readingislife #allthebooks #featuremybooks #bookster #literaturelover #booktography #bibliofeature #bookpic #bookcollage https://www.instagram.com/p/CpkazglPnGJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Book Description:
How do you rent a room from a ghost without even knowing it?
This year was supposed to be different because Oaklynn had a plan.
Stop partying.
Stay away from guys.
Focus on classes.
Graduate!
All she needed to do was find a place to stay near campus, and she’d be set. But when she finds the perfect room to rent, it brings the mysterious Damien into her life.
Her friend tries to warn her that he’s dangerous. He has secrets and darkness in his eyes. But the only danger Oaklynn can tell that he poses is to her attention. He’s all she can think about. Except, he’s hiding something, and when the truth comes out that her new roommate was murdered…a decade ago…nothing will ever be the same again.
So yeah, this year will definitely be different.

Review:
" 𝙄 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢.”
What did I read just now??? This book is mind blowing! I read it in one sitting. This book has dual POV focuses on separate aspects of both the main lead, Damien and Oaklynn. I fell in love almost immediately with Oaklynn's energy spirit. There are some secondary characters who also have distinct personalities, and I hope to know more about Damien's friends. Author gave equal importance to secondary characters as well when it comes to character development. I really liked Thalia at the beginning, I thought I would get to know more about her too. But the twist also spiced up the novel.
" 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙄 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙩, 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙄’𝙢 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙮 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙚𝙭𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙄 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙤 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙮 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙨.”
The writing is too good which makes this book unputdownable and also occasionally funny and entertaining. The tension between Damien and Oaklynn is good to read, and I still can't get over them. There's a lot of romance and unexpected events so basically it never gets boring or cliche. Also there's some bit of humor too.
"𝑻𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒂’𝒔 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝒅𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒅. “𝑯𝒊…𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒂,” 𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆. “𝑰 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖"
I laughed so hard and I cried for a couple moments but never a dull moment. It had everything I hoped for and more. I never expected myself to be so invested in this book, and definitely will be waiting for the next book in this series.
Rating: 10/10

Count with me. Let's play. Firstly, never have I ever read a book from this author and of course I regret some of my past choices on books. I wish I had picked up her books faster. Secondly, never have I ever read a witchy book that is so highly entertaining and spicy, and of course I have devoured it like the last portion of dessert in the refrigerator. It has everything supernatural creatures, magic, nasty hexs and intriguing third act. Thirdly, never I have ever loved any characters alter-ego more than the character, but Alpha has totally growled his way in and made permanent position. Wolfs are a thing, and I might have changed my team for him. Maybe. Fourthly, never have I ever screamed 'kiss already' this much, as I did, reading the first twenty chapters of this book, too much cute chemistry and slow angsty foreplay, but i needed more. But my heart, when it finally happened, I screamed a bit more, yes, it was that good! Fifthly, never have I ever enjoyed the presence of a comic-lover character, but Evie did it, the way she is so proudly herself, kind of makes the reader feel good about themselves unapologetically. Here is my all the five reasons for the 4.5 stars for this book. The only thing that chipped the final star is the 'big reveal', I kind of saw that from a kilometer away. Enough about me, let's talk about you. Have you raved enough about this series? What is your favorite paranormal series? How is your reading going so far this year? #stayaspell #alphaholic #werewolfromance #juliettecross #paranormalromance #currentlyreading #fivestarread #indianbookstagram #indianbookstagrammer #indianbookblogger #indianbookreviewer #romancebookstagram #romancebooksofinstagram #romancebookaddict #romanceaddict #ebookstagram #ebookreader #smuttybooks #smuttybooklover #kindleromance #mustreadbooks #wolfgonewild (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ch_5wHErutQ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

There’s love accumulated over stretches of time that they haven’t met and so you understand that moment when Tom and Claudia are walking in Cairo markets replete with their filth and fragrances, why he wants to buy her something….anything. They both don’t know if there is a future, times being as such, and hope is a flighty word. That desperation to offer something tangible, because who can hold love, is my favourite part of the story. It’s as human as it gets. Penelope Lively’s Claudia- the custodian of lost Hungarians, enterprising, almost fearless, leaving behind her wake of bad decisions, a spunky historian. She is a handful and age has nothing to do with it. As a feisty chit of a girl or as a supposed dowager, lying on white sheets, forgetting the names of things, pretend-sleeping through family visits- there was no point when I wasn’t rooting for her. No two people are born in the same family- siblings meet their parents at different growth trajectories, so each has a different childhood. History is something like that- how the world moves for an Indian is different for how it moves for a Ukranian, a Sudanese, an American. So when Claudia aspires to retell the history of humankind, in effect, it is her version of the world she is offering. Ambitious, much? But then we all think we have a tomorrow and the next year and a life planned till 80, so who isn’t? Travelling through time with Claudia was like diving into the vortex- levels fly past, and everything’s happening simultaneously on them. Lively was right- memory doesn’t care for chronology. Neither is it that clinical nor as neat. I loved the same version of events retold through different character perspectives. Moon Tiger isn’t a romantic read, lest my opening lines put you off. More like a manual for living- if we are going to take up space, might as well make the most of it. PS: The cover. I detest it. #moontiger #penelopelively #delhireader #delhibookstagram #bookerprizewinner #femaleauthors #readingwomen #feministbooks #bookflatlay #delhibookstafam #historicalfiction #smallbooks #recommededreading #womenwhoread #2023readingchallenge #bestbooks2023 #indianbookstagrammer (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn3YEEEL7HZ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
