I just sang the entirety of the red album. It was 12:30AM when I started. It was 1:45AM when I finished bc I sang a few songs twice. I do not live alone and I probably kept my whole house awake but idc. Everyone should hear RED.

I hope that all of you were able to download the file from my Google Drive successfully. Due to copyright reasons I have to take the files down from Google’s servers (otherwise they’ll flag it and close my email down, which we of course don’t want) so please please please get it downloaded now!

I will be taking the file down promptly at 3:00pm Pacific Standard Time.

HOWEVER! I do have a back up in case anyone wasn’t able to download the file in time or if the original link to my Google Drive did not work!

Baby Ransom’s 1st Christmas

“WAAAAAH!”

That was a sound that was being heard a lot today in the Thrombey house. It was time for the family’s annual Christmas party, and Harlan was going even more all out than usual because of the three new little ones in the house: Meg, Jacob, and the current bringer of chaos, Ransom.

Although he was not quite eight months old, baby Ransom was already a little terror. When Linda and Richard arrived with him (along with their nanny, Maria), Ransom greeted his new aunt Joni by pulling her hair and yanking her necklace off when she tried to hold him. When she naturally scolded him, he screamed, causing Linda and Joni to start arguing.

He’d then been put in a small play area with baby Meg and baby Jacob, filled with bright colored toys to keep them occupied while the adults made dinner. However, it was pretty clear Ransom did not play well with others. He kept stealing toys from the other babies (just because they had them) and pulling on baby Meg’s hair, causing Neil and Richard to get into an argument when Richard made a remark along the lines of “Aww! Little guy knows what he wants already. Bet he’ll be a chip off the old block!” 

Ransom screamed again when he was taken out of the playpen, but was momentarily distracted by Maria, who came in and scooped him up as soon as Richard beckoned her over. 

“Cálmate, mi pequeño bebé. Aquí, ¿qué tal si leemos tu historia favorita?” she murmured as she cuddled him. She gave him his Coach pacifier, put him in her lap and read “The Cat in the Hat” to him a few times.

At dinner, things hadn’t gone much better. Maria had kept Ransom relatively calm by singing to him in Spanish, but when she tried to feed him the mixed vegetable baby food Linda had given her, Ransom either kept turning his head away or spitting the food back out at her. Frustrated, Maria went to the bathroom to wash her face, but accidentally left the bowl of food on the high chair tray in the process. 

Meanwhile, Richard and Joni started arguing about politics, and things were beginning to get heated. Both Harlan and Linda were trying to calm things down and diffuse the situation, but baby Ransom was getting frustrated that he was no longer the center of attention. 

He noticed the bowl left on the tray, and smiled. Quickly, he grabbed the bowl and threw it at Walt before Linda could stop him, leaving Walt’s hair, face and sweater covered in orange goop. Walt went off, screaming at Richard and Linda that their baby was the Antichrist and they needed to discipline him. Ransom found this hysterical, laughing loudly and slapping his hands on the high chair tray in delight as everyone yelled at each other. Maria, who had come back after the food was thrown, could only sigh and give Ransom something she knew he liked: bananas.

When it came time to open presents, baby Ransom received numerous toys (most of which Maria knew he’d likely play with once and then forget about, which irritated her; she knew many poor children who would’ve adored even one of those toys) and piles of luxury clothes. He’d then tried to get into everyone else’s gifts and began screaming when Maria pulled him back; she’d only managed to distract him by picking up a toy bunny and making it dance as she sang “Feliz Navidad.”

Now it was time for the big event; the family Christmas photo, which would be sent out as their Christmas card. Except Ransom refused to cooperate; every time the camera went off, he started crying. 

First, they tried having him sit on Linda’s lap, which didn’t work. Then they tried having him sit on Maria’s lap (much to the annoyance of Linda), which still didn’t work. 

Finally, Maria had an idea. She set the little baby on Richard’s lap and had him bounce the boy a little, which got him giggling. Maria smiled and waved Ransom’s bunny behind the camera, and as Richard stopped bouncing, Ransom scrunched up his face and gave a big smile just as the camera flashed and took the picture.

Richard was laughing and remarking how easy it had been to get Ransom (who was still giggling on his father’s lap) to smile, when he suddenly sniffed the air and felt something wet on his knee. He grimaced.

“Honey, please tell me that smell’s coming from the potpourri...”

Summary: So really, Bucky told himself frequently, he couldn’t complain. Sure, he had anxiety and nightmares and... other issues, but those were par for the course for a survivor like him. It was fine. Everything was fine, or at least as fine as it was probably ever gonna get.

But all of that was little consolation when he woke up hard as a rock and unable to find relief at 4 in the morning at least a few times a week.
