It's been a while since I last did a minimalist wallpaper for a character from the anime series, Infinite Stratos. The character in question is the younger sister of Tatenashi Sarashiki, Kanzashi Sarashiki. This one has been on the back burner for a long time, and it was about time that I got this minimalist wallpaper done, and I am happy with how it turned out.

Hello, fellow maid lovers! Today, Maid of the Day officially turns 5 years old! This blog is finally old enough to start attending school. They grow up so fast! 😭

And as an added bonus, because they exist on this blog too, Maid of the Day’s Top Butler is Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist, who has also managed to finally unseat Charlotte Dunois from Infinite Stratos as top butler!

With all that out of the way, I have officially hit my goal of running this blog for five years. Though I have thoroughly enjoyed serving all your daily maid (and butler and shrine maiden and nurse and etc.) needs over these past five years, I think it’s finally time for me to take a step back from this blog.

As I had mentioned previously, it has become increasingly difficult to find new maids and I just don’t have the same time and energy as before. I’m still in the process of determining whether I will stop updating this blog altogether or switch to posting on a semi-daily basis. I’d like to think the latter, but we’ll see.

Thank you everyone for your support and for sticking it out with me all these years! Let’s see where the future takes us!

I can choose not to write for something if it makes me uncomfortable or I simply don't like it. No hard feelings but I want to enjoy what I'm writing.

I have a limit of 5 characters per request, but I will make exceptions if it's a group that has a little bit more. For example, if you were to make a request for the protagonists of the Quintessential Quintuplets. 6 is over the limit, but I don't want to separate them.

Please dont just write a request that says "do this", it's a bit rude in my opinion and doesn't give me much to work with.

I don't do crossovers. I like to keep the series isolated from each other. But if it's in the same universe I don't mind. On that note, only request one series per ask.

This is a self insert blog, so I won't do ships. But I will write for Poly relationships if the reader is involved.

You can request any character, but if need be I will age them up or down as to not... make it weird? I don't know how to describe it, but I will take a few liberties to think about the future or the past of some characters for that. You can also request characters that aren't "human" and I will make a gijinka version of them to write for.

I don't write for real world people or real life events. Writing for living breathing people sounds weird to me and this blog is for fantasies.

If you want to request anonymously, you don't have to identify yourself. I would appreciate it, but you don't have to.

I like a lot of different AUs! So feel free to describe things you would like changed on the world of a series. Some AUs I like are modern AU, Self aware AU, fantasy AU, and Omegaverse.

The reader will be refered to as they/them to be more inclusive unless you request it to be otherwise.

If you desire, I can Genderbend characters or swap their roles. Those are always amazing AUs in my opinion.

I like writing for submissive readers since I enjoy that more, so I don't like writing for powerful or dominant readers most of the time.

You can ask any sort of question about what I will write or not and even suggest things if you feel so inclined.

Starting Ranked from Gold IV today.

1. Labrynth vs some 1900-ATK vanilla beatdown deck that wasn't even running an Extra Deck. [Win]

2. Labrynth vs HEROs. For some reason they opened Destiny Fusion and opted not to use it and just sit on one Normal Summoned Stratos, and I know they had it because it's what I sniped out of their hand with Lovely when my turn came around. Same turn let me Set a Dimensional Barrier so their second turn was for nothing as well. [Win]

3. Labrynth vs Traptrix. I went first and managed to get around Maxx C by just, choosing to chain Lady Labrynth to the bug. I hit their Normal Summon with Infinite Impermanence and they scooped before I even had a chance to Set EEV. [Win]

That got me up to Gold III, and I wrapped up missions for the day by finally going into the Beetrooper Solo Mode (though I still gotta get enough orbs to do the advanced missions).

It was followed by an OVA, Infinite Stratos Encore: A Sextet Yearning for Love, which released that same year. Season 1 of the anime, produced by the studio Eight Bit, came out in 2011 and ran for 12 episodes. This sees him enrolled in the Infinite Stratos Academy in Japan, where he's surrounded by girls also training to be exoskeleton pilots. Ten years after this societal shift occurs, Ichika Orimura discovers he, despite being a young man, is able to use the Infinite Stratos technology. The tech can only be utilized by women, creating a massive shift in the balance of power across the globe and putting women at the top. This armored exoskeleton is equally distributed among all nations to prevent one from overtaking another unfairly. The story involves the eponymous Infinite Stratos technology, which is one of the most impressive combat weapons yet. A second, longer-lasting manga began in 2013, ending in 2020 and attaining eight volumes. Yumizuru handled the first manga adaptation in 2010, which ran for five volumes and released across two years.

At first, I was going to make a minimalist wallpaper of Tatenashi Sarashiki. One of the main heroines of Infinite Stratos, who made their debut in the anime's second and last season (As of writing this, of course). But after some thinking, I decided to stop and make a minimalist wallpaper of Laura Bodewig instead. Don't get me wrong! I do like Tatenashi! She's one of the handfuls of characters that I genuinely like from the series. It's just that I went with Laura because she does not have a lot of minimalist wallpapers after some research, and the pout that she makes in one episode is just too good to not make a wallpaper of. I mean, look at it! It's so adorable!
