season three of infinity train goes so hard it’s a crime that you can’t watch it on max anymore. watching grace and simon go through the exact opposite storylines, becoming foils of each other in response to one another. grace losing her apex mark upon realizing that she was wrong as simon’s only got brighter. watching grace’s number go down to her hand as simon’s covers his entire body. all of these children being indoctrinated into a false religion causing them to go on a rampage while thinking they’re doing the right thing when in reality they stray further and further from the true right thing every day. grace leading them thinking she’s also doing the right thing when in reality, she’s doomed them. simon deeming tuba’s inhuman nature a valid reason to kill her, despite the fact that she was a fully sentient being who his friends loved and cared for. hazel losing the only mother she’d ever had. hazel being a denizen and not knowing it even when she was acting as one. simon not realizing hazel was supposedly one of the soulless monsters he hated so much because she didn’t look like them. hazel truly being not only so human, but such a child, begging for tuba to come back and promising to be really good. god there’s so much more i could go on about but it’s just the entire season. it’s so incredible. streaming services really just get rid of their best shows and don’t look back, huh.

So we've been watching Infinity Train with my friends and we just finished season 3 and

once again screaming crying throwing up about the fact that infinity train was prematurely cancelled despite being contracted for 5 seasons.

#infinity train #like i really really want all 8 seasons. & i really really want present day!amelia and all that would come with that (e.g. hazel and grace) #but i feel like i would be so much more content with the show's cancellation if we had the bow on top of it all that was the amelia season #because she was the villain from s1 #the fallout of her villanry births the antagonists from s2. #she appears again in s3 having moved on slightly and changed her outlook. thereby creating a somewhat optimistic outlook on the end point of #her story #and s4 shows (in parts) her descent into villany. #she's been the main reocurring presence in the whole show and her train motivation (unbearable grief) and villain arc are the most #complex the show would've handled #i truly believe that if they had been allowed to make it it would have served as a perfect ending to the show #because she's been built up for so long and because the writers would've had so much material to work with AND detail to pay attention to #it wouldve been spectacular.... and everything they wanted to explore in later seasons wouldve been so good too #(older tulip and revenge and acceptance of something as complicated as alzheimer's disease) #(and i also think it wouldve been neat for them to show us a glimpse of 40 y/o rymin cuz those boys have major issues still when they get #off the train #and so id like a snapshot of them in the future that shows they worked things out) #yeah. justice 4 infinity train justice 4 amelia hughes. i want to fuck that 60y/o deeply evil woman so badly and i need her back in my life

Just went on a rabbit hole of looking for dvds or box sets or any way to buy recent animation series to keep them alive so I have copies of reliable video quality in case another great animation purge happens.

They don't exist. To obtain the tax write off benefit in future, they can't have any way of making any money off of them.

I just *clenches fist* want to make my own dvd boxsets SO BAD

#ramblings of a lunatic #IF THEY WON'T MAKE INFINITY TRAIN AND OWL HOUSE BOXSETS THEN MAYBE I WILL #like. the easy step is pirating a clean copy and then burning it onto a dvd #it's not a skill I'm good at but i could always get my old man to show me how. no biggie! #but then part of me is also sitting here like. so how do they print the custom designs on dvds? #like you know how there will be fully rendered art on the actual disk?? yeah how do they do that. i wanna do it #PICTURE IT putting the owl house s1 poster on the s1 discs (2 discs- one for 1A and one for 1B) #then putting the s2 poster on the s2 discs #JUST. do you think a piece of media that doesnt necessarily tackle heavy topics and doesnt have swears or alcohol/ect in it is automatically classified as "children's media" or at LEAST thought of as "child-friendly", or does the intention HAVE to be to make show for children for it to count? if it isnt necessarily "intended" for kids but could be enjoyed by kids and adults, is it still an "adult" show? disregard any ideas of children's and adult's media being good or bad (i.e. this is too good to be for kids) that is not influencing my argument here, they're all genuine questions

for more info, atla had 61 episodes. s2 of SU (which contained the entirety of peridot's redemption arc) had 26 episodes. s3 of infinity train, like i mentioned above, only had 10 episodes.
