silly little hc but y'know how Lake is made of metal, and therefore most likely magnetic? Not long after Lake had adjusted to life with the Cosays, they leaned on the fridge a bit and accidentally gotten stuck, and the more they tried to get off of the fridge the more they stuck to it. So, Jesse and/or Nate probably sees this, panics, and helps to get them off and when they eventually do, they have a bunch of the fridge's magnets stuck to them.

This would def become a silly story that Jesse and Lake might bring up every now and then (especially to Tulip despite Lake's embarrassment)

Infinity Train S2 JessieLake AU’s

Okay, so would y’all prefer an AU where:

1) Jessie and lake escape the Train as in canon but then get chased all over the western hemisphere by ‘The Government’ until they end up starting a new life together in Gravity Falls, Oregon as 18-19 yr olds. (Optional reunion with Alan Dracula as the insanity of Gravity Falls canon unfolds.)

2) Jessie’s backstory is the same except with the additional baggage of being a Demigod son of Aphrodite. Something which ads a whole new layer to the pathological need to be ‘friends’ with everyone Jessie already has, as now he is trying to prove something to himself and his mom/siblings and is also just, like, SUPER pretty. (Bonus points for relationship drama with Lake as they do not want to be ANYONE’s reflection, but, on the other hand, mama Aphrodite would love for her insecure son to get with a literal living mirror and gives her very vocal approval to the match. Also, Jessie has super strength/athleticism and combat skills, which don’t quite let him match up to Lake in asskicking but DOES make them VERY hot under the collar whenever he a) Punches someone in the face, b) Lifts Lake like its nothing, or c) does something stupid like arm-wrestle them or punch them in the arm and doesn't immediately break every bone in his body.) (Maybe in this one they never leave the Train, but instead both sacrifice parts of what they WANT for their futures to make a future with each other, but IDK that seems like a sub-optimal decision in an AU where The Mist would let Lake live a semi-normal life and Jessie already has a community set to accept his new Honorary-5th-Cabin-Member life-partner.)

or

3) Jessie and Tulip are both Tarnished called to the Lands Between, and Lake is the Mimic Tear boss from Nokron that Tulip helped free when she realized they didn't want to fight and would much rather leave their underground prison. So Jessie and Lake meet up and try to escape the Lands Between (Because they aren’t overachieving nerds like Tulip and want NOTHING to do with ANY of Elden Ring’s bull$%*!), Alan Dracula is a Spectral Steed/Ancestral Deer, and the Flecks are Nockron Mirror Warriors sent to hunt down their wayward living-weapon.

Or 4) all of them (not combined tho)? No promises.

it's mostly just a throwaway joke but it feels Very Fitting that at the end of book 4 when kez apologizes to everyone and they all start to make amends, it's the sheriff/judge character that says "‘sorry’ ain't no justice i ever heard of!" and escalates to violence instead of joining everyone else in trying to fix things. of course it's the fucking *cop* who is singlemindedly fixated on punitive justice and refuses to accept restorative justice.
