So I've been reading Inhumans vs Xmen and i have some very biased opinions

See, that's the thing, I blame both company's best selling crossovers.

For DC it was 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' that basically taught them the wrong lesson that whenever they wanted they could press the restart button on the universe to fix minor shit, while for Marvel it was 'Civil war' which meant that they were going to make their heroes fight each other every 2 years just to remind you how bad they are at just talking.

And DC does it too in a minor way from time to time (Hi Cassandra's evil turn that everyone hated it) , but the way Marvel will just grab a hero that people like and either kill them like a chump or turn them into a villain it's...it's so annoying.

Like top of my head, Marvel has had how many comics of heroes fighting each other? Civil War, World War Hulk, Axis, Avengers vs Xmen, Inhumans vs Xmen, A.X.E.: Judgment Day, CIVIL WAR 2 ELECTRIC BOOGALOO.

Some unpopular opinions that I’m posting just to get them out of my brain; I’m not going to fight anyone over this because it’s just my opinion, so please don’t message me to argue or start anything. I’ll just ignore or block you. Friendly discussions or questions are welcome of course.

Here goes:

The whole event idea is frankly stupid- enough with the hero vs hero events- but yes, I am petty enough that I hope the Eternals kick some X butt in Judgement Day. (And admittedly also indifferent enough to the X-Men as a whole that I don’t care. There are individual X-Men who I love, a lot, but as a group I personally find them overrated. It doesn’t help that their fans have a tendency to be... less than nice. More so than other groups of fans imo.)

While I’m on the subject:

1. I realize this is a very unpopular opinion, but I actually liked the plot/writing for the X-Men vs Inhumans event. Though I did only read the Inhumans side, so I can’t say how the X-Men side of it was.

2. The Eternals movie apparently might qualify for an Oscar and I hope it does get nominated and WIN, because it was fantastic, and I want all the people who say it’s bad to eat their words.

3. I miss the Inhumans. :( Marvel bring them back please. While we’re at it, can we also bring back poor Hank Pym? It’s been like 6 years and the poor man is still trapped in the Soul Stone/possessed by Ultron. Bring him back already!! Plus LET HIM MEET HIS DAUGHTER FFS.

#like yes holy shit this is a bad situation #but the inhumans were 100% willing to work with the mutants to find a solution #if they had just given it more time by say #staying in limbo or off planet for a while #like hank suggested #there would have been more time to find a solution #and I'm surprised no one has suggested just containing the terrigen mist???? #it's not ideal #but it's easier to track the inhumans can still use it for their ceremonies #and it won't poison mutants #also the xmen and the comic colorist are treating him like a villian in the story and the design #when he's just a minor antagonist at WORST

Jim Shooter is grossly under appreciated. People throw shade at him as though he’s the worst EIC in Marvel history. It’s not even that he wasn’t that bad, he was genuinely one of the best, if not the best. The worst thing under his tenure was Secret Wars II and Carol Danvers pregnancy but under Joe Quesada the Wasp was eaten by the Blob and there were endless events every year, most as bad if not worse than SWII. Under Alonso HYDRA Cap existed. Civil War II existed, IvX existed. Doc Ock trying to rape Mary Jane existed.
