These are the three pictures I will be focusing on by Tracey Emin.✨
I chose these specific pictures to focus on because they all stand out to me as they aren’t just a piece of Art like everyone else sees, together they have a story to tell and they were made to tell that story. To me theses pieces of work have strong value to them, they look like a story about a woman giving birth and how her body changes over time. Emin is trying to tell the audience either about a fantasy she wants a true life event that’s happened to her in her life.
These pictures together show that very story, and in my eyes, you have to see past that story and feel the emotion in all pieces of your art work as you create it.
TRACEY EMIN… ✨
Her art may be just ‘lines’ to some people, but to me her art is outstandingly amazing! The ‘lines’ tell a true story and have a voice behind them.
The lines are rough and not semetrical at all, this shows true talent and can be a ‘role model’ to younger generations as her work is easy and presented well, this means that younger generations can use her line of work to start off their artist journey…
I like Tracey Emins work as it’s not necessarily hard to re-create, but also because she has a particular way of showing emotion through her work, and to me that’s what I look for through artists and their work.
First post on the tumblos, so have a very dumb drawing of the Jersey Devil with a stereotypical North New Jersey accent.
