A piece of Inktober 2020

Day 11: Disgusting

Story behind this picture: In my last apartment block we had this family living in the flat under ours. Not only were they loud 24/7 but they also had a child that had some sort of infantile autism that they didn't know how to deal with. (It's an assumption on our side that this child had Kanner autism with bad hearing)

And because they didn't know how to deal with the child, they let it wear diapers for more years than necessary, they let it suck on the soother even though it damaged the childs' teeth and so on... It was horrible to be their neighbor and they never listened to our concerns, as in "Please don't turn the music up so much" (something that occured reguraly as the child was given the remote way too often)

We often reached out to our landlords but they didn't do anything and we also reached out to child protective services - still waiting for an answer of these minimum principle workers.

Since moving away from this place though, my mental health has gotten better and better and I hope I'll never stoop so low to live in such an environment again. Things are still not perfect and I'm definitely not rich, but I am glad that I can sleep without white noise, I can spend my days without children screaming nonstop and people not having the decency to think about the others.

Day 25 - Buddy

When you're a mob boss running for his life in the woods and you find a weird giant egg and when you pick it up it hatches into a weird ass human/dragon baby thing so you make it your life goal to raise this child because he is now your son and anyone who makes fun of his ears go to sleep with the fishes.

Also if anyone asks you're retired. Trust me, it's for their sake, not yours. That kid doesn't take kindly to people messin with their papa.
