its the one you have all been waiting for! I draw other animals like cats and puppies all the time so this time I did something a little different. It's a rat which thinks its a dog. ^w^ He tried to carry the tennis ball but he's so small it dragged on the floor and he ended up rolling over it -v-'

Inktober Day 18: Saddle

Once again subverting the obvious decision. This time I did so by picking an animal that really shouldn’t have a saddle on it at all.

Initially i thought of a giraffe. But then— I thought, what if we went really small instead? So here’s a jerboa with a saddle! Yes that’s a real animal.

I imagine fairies would ride them.

Animal of the Day!

Eastern Chipmunk (Tamias striatus)

Conservation Status- Least Concern

Habitat- Eastern North America

Size (Weight/Length)- 140 g; 25 cm

Diet- Nuts; Seeds; Fruits; Insects; Bird eggs; Mushrooms

Cool Facts- While eastern chipmunks are generally seen on the ground searching for nuts to store for the winter or in trees doing the same thing, they spend the majority of their time underground. These chipmunks make extensive burrows with multiple chambers and entrances. Being solitary outside of mating season, Eastern chipmunks have formed a defense system with the local birds of the area. Both the chipmunks and the birds have learned to pick up on the others’ predator alarm, causing both rodents and birds to rush for cover. Keep in mind, no matter how cute and friendly these little guys look please don't feed them! Wild animals are meant to stay wild!

Rating- 12/10 (I want to pick them all up and put them in my pockets.)
