Hello. Hi. Hello.🌻
I read the first four chapters. Shame on me for not finding the time earlier. I was wrong—I do not like socialising. I just want peace and time to read and write my fanfiction in peace.
Anyways. HERE WE GO WITH THE LISTS.
What the actual fuck was that prologue bro. Who is this? Who? Who? Who? Who? I’m question
Rafael is such a little fucking sap I can’t with him. Just propose already bro.
LBAF MALEC CONTINUES TO BE SUPERIOR. SOFT BASTARDS.
Mavid my beloveds. I am not ready to see them go through hell.
Ummmmmmm the more the proposal gets delayed, the more I feel like it might never happen cause you know *coughs* inquisitor’s curse *coughs*
I wanted David and Anjali friendship. Not whatever the fuck that scene was.
If I was the consul, I would simply not do anything. I’m not meant for this life where I’m supposed to do things. RIP to Alec and Rafael, but I’m different. I would actually prefer to be possessed, so that someone else can just do things for me. RIP to Selena too. (as u can see I’m fine sksjshsskk) *inserts Ross’s ‘I’m fine’ scene from friends lmao*
Lexi you absolute Buffon, Pls go to a Target and get a few braincells or smth.
Gigi I can’t wait to see u change the world again.
I’m sort of seeing this guy (ew I know. It’s fine I’m gonna get bored and dump him soon). I also call him ‘Babygirl’. I’m 5’1. This mf is 6. We short people need to babify these tall bitches and keep them in check. I SUPPORT MAXXXXX.
Selena you sweet summer child. I’m love seeing her happy (for now).
Can Mallory go choke on something pls??? Preferably Chopin’s poop or Chairman’s furr or smth.
but if someone is not as obsessed with me as Mallory is with Max, then what’s the point bro???? Huh???
Marcus—CALM YOUR TITS DOWN BUDDY. YOUR EVIL IS SHOWING.
Warlocks are losing their magic
Me @ shadow world
Tumblr media
anyways, how u doin lol?
Hello,
Please allow me to say 'i told you so' about the socializing thing 😎
But seriously. Social batteries drain fast. So, I hope you recharge and take some time for yourself.
Shadow world is a mess. We're like only 7% into the drama lol
Rip to the guy you're going to dump but hope you're having a good time x
I'm okay. Coming week is gonna be tough because I'm stepping away from a bunch of projects because I've realized the client/supervisor is toxic so that's not gonna be fun. But *tiktok sound* i need to put myself first!
I'll see you next week sucker <3

The Sugar Skull Tarot: A Review
Hey hey hey! IT's ESPOOKY SEASON! I know I'm late to the espooky party but this month has been tough and wild. I will not be explaining myself beyond this. But anyway...a while ago I impluse bought a book called Tarot & Tequila: A Tarot Guide with Cocktails by David A. Ross. (Review on this is planned, gimme time y'all) I fell in love with the art of the cards in the book and when I learned there was going to be a hard copy deck printed soon I knew I needed it. And well here we are now, with me throwing my two cents in on this. Less go y'all!
First Impressions
The box is appealing to look at with whimsical art all over it and those nice clean lines. I can't tell is that gold, bronze? Gold-bronze? Whatever color it is is nice and I love it.
The size of the box itself made me nervous in the store when I went to pick it up cause I have tiny hands. If the box is big the stuff inside it must be as well. But at the same time I have a round deck that I will occasionally use so I guess I'll be fine. (Spoiler alert: I was not fine)
This box feels like it could handle a beating. Like thrown in my school bag and knocked around all day kind of beating and keep my cards nice and safe. Maybe yeet it across the room onto your bed only for it to bounce off it and smack into the wall then the floor. It is a 2 part lift closure style but it is quite grippy I wouldn't trust it with my soul but I would trust this box with my iced coffee.

The Guidebook
As with the rest of everything the book is bigger than your typical insert booklet. Toward the front of the book are few spreads that you can use. There is the classic3-card past-present-future, the good old Celtic Cross as well as a new one designed for this deck. (Check back I might do it soon and post about it.)
This book is printed in full color which is very refreshing and nice to see. To my knowledge this is my only deck that came with a full color book, I am too lazy to get up and check for certain but I will correct myself later if I goofed. We have the picture of the card on the left hand page with the meanings, both upright and reversed, on the right hand page. These meanings are the exact same as the basic ones in our authors book Tarot & Tequila: A Tarot Guide with Cocktails there is a nice little blip above the meanings in the guidebook that is not present in the Cocktail book. So, while I think I prefer to use the big hardcover book over the little one that came in the deck I will still be referencing it for the blip.
Structurally the book is very sound, it is bound beautifully. Perhaps to beautifully as I struggle to hold it open in my off hand during the few readings I have done with it already.

The Cards Themselves
These cards are huge, absolutely massive in my hands. Which to be fair isn't really hard to do as I am a smol bean. They are literally as big as my hands, send help. But anyway, moving on I usually riffle shuffle my decks but with these cards its quite fiddly. Usually I can just get my pinky to support the far end of the card when doing this but with these cards it ain't happenin' my dude. I have to rely on the table to be my brace during the shuffle, and the weird pick up a chunk and mush shove it back into the rest of the cards ain't happenin' either.
Due to their immense size I may slate them as a permanent resident of my meditation space. You get a real nice card stand and these would make a great focus piece for a session. Maybe these might see use in some of my upcoming workings or even to aid in charging stuff. Like I might add the King of Pentacles to my money bowl/altar I'm in the process of setting up.
There are other issues I have with the shape of the deck. Why are the corners pointy? I...I just why did they need to be so pointed! I cannot tell you how many times I've poked myself while repositioning to try and shuffle. Big brain would say "Alter the deck! You can totally round those corners." No, no I don't think I can brain. I'm pretty sure I would have to lose some of the edge linework along the border and I really like that so hecc I guess? Also, It's quite easy to tell if the card you're flipping will be upright or reversed due to the backs not being symmetrical. It kinda bothers me but as I do not see myself reading with it very often it's not that big a deal to me.
On the other hand the material itself is great. Sturdy like the box it came in. If I could shuffle the damn thing I'd be tempted to take it into a bar or two and do some readings with it. (With permission and once the Panini calms down more) I think they could take it lol.

My Favorites
Temperance
Temperance is usually in my favorite card line up no matter what the deck is. partially due to it being one of my birth cards. (Can do more on this later if y'all want!) I really love the purple background here and how our human-like figure appears to be taking this job of balancing stuff very seriously.
The Hierophant
The other half of my birth card pair! usually I have some issue with this card because of the traditional meaning of conformity and almost dogmatic keeping of the status quo. This card has always felt a bit stuffy to me. but not this dude, his face seems to say "I'm only holding this stick n' wearin' this hat cause I gotta. I'm much cooler without this hat." Me too my guy, me too.
Tumblr media
The Devil
There's just something here about the devil character doing the bare minimum to blind and confuse the other figure here that makes me happy to look at.
The Lovers
Ethereal and floaty? What's not to love here? There is a beautiful and implicit trust present here between the two figures that I love seeing. I don't really know why I'm feeling more drawn to this card than normal, might have something to do with my upcoming 4 year with my person. Who knows for certain though?
Tumblr media
Death
Really like the use of the flowers here. They bloom they're pretty then they wilt and their remains go on to nourish the next round of blooms. Also, the birds off in the back seem so free, almost like they're reminding us to look beyond what's infront of us right now.
The Wheel of Fortune
The wheel giveth and the wheel taketh away so to speak. Life's a game of chance, where are you putting your bets?
Tumblr media
8 of Wands
Loving the archer making those wands go fwosh in the same direction. All that wonderfully projected get it done going to the same place Chefs kiss
4 of Wands
Using the wands as the pole thingys is nice. And, like I know its just a cards and its artwork on cardstock but that dress is some A+ stuff. I want one, where can I buy one...
Tumblr media
3 of swords
This is almost always one of my favorites. Hecc I've played with getting this card as a tattoo but I dunno for sure yet thems be damn pricey. Anyways, I like the almost heart shaped slots at the top that the swords fit into at the top of the skull. It's like they were meant to go in but at the same time you're supposed to yoink them out at some point.
8 of Swords
There was just something about using the box and sword magic trick here that makes me smile when I see it.
Tumblr media
Overall Vibe
Overall, interacting with this deck has been a wonderful experience for me. (Unlike the Ethereal Visions tarot. Icky no good bad vibe for me!)
The artwork is espooky, perfect for Halloween October season but also not too espooky that you couldn't use it at any other time of the year.
Working with this deck is like tucking into into a hearty bowl of chili (with beans!) and nice big piece of cornbread fresh out the oven on a cold evening. It's comfy. And honestly in current times we need all the comfy we can get.
Closing thoughts
If you like spooky and western-y things go for it. The cocktail book by the same author might also be something you think about, if only for the hilarious tequila meanings found there. Toodles ya noodles!
