Let me tell you, when these guys saw your split tongue, they thought it was the coolest thing like EVER! Both of them were swarming you, and totally swooning.

It was just a normal-ish day at Cognito inc. and you were taking selfies with Gigi for her insta. For one of the pictures you stuck out your tongue while holding up a pice sign, exposing your split. Both of them are probably gonna make a bunch of dirty jokes about it, making you all flustered. And since they’re both complete perverts, they’re gonna get quite excited whenever they see that expression on you, red faced and all.

Myc and Andre are totally gonna show it off to EVERYONE in the office, with a proud expression on their face as they held you in front of them. These weirdos takes a lot of pride in you, and honestly, it’s a bit cute.

-She would melt if you grabbed a blanket and just sat with her and watched movies

-She went overboard with her gifts, so the under side of the tree is.. A bit packed

-She would definitely get into a flour fight with you when you bake, like she'll get a handfull of flour and blow it all over you and you'll end up with no flour and a big mess

-She would wake you up with breakfast in bed, cute food, and hot chocolate, she'll sit with you while you eat and just wait for your reaction, because I doubt she's confident in her cooking

-You loved it.

-When you're done she'll leave the tray with the plates on it on the bed and grab your hand and drag you downstairs, absolutely ecstatic about you finally getting her gifts

-She watched you with this, 'Shit do they like it..?' face the whole time, and when your face lights up as you see what she got you, she gets so happy

-When you hand her this big gift basket of food and a few boxes of things you got her, she tears up a bit because nobody ever cared enough to remember her favorite things. So the moment she sees you bought her a bunch of her favorite things she just hugs you so tight, because she knows shes fallen head over heels all over again.

Brett was annoying.

Not in a bad person kind of way, or way too full of themselves kind of way, but in a way too goddamn happy all the time kind of way.

You weren’t exactly sure how Reagen had grown so fond of him. You and Reagen had grown surprisingly close over the last year of work, and you were excited (and to be honest, a little frightened. She had kind of a tendency to want to take over the world) for her to become your boss. She was pretty fun to talk to, and you often spent time with her discussing mechanics. She was a strong person who knew what she wanted, the kind of person you wished you were. So you still have no clue how she and Brett had become friends. Brett was, well, Brett. Too excited, too peppy, too perfect. It felt like he was patronizing you, rubbing in your face how he was always ready for anything, while you needed to give yourself a pep talk before even going out the door. Everyone on the team seemed to like him, something you seem to have still not accomplished.

“Hey Y/N!” Brett waved enthusiastically. He quickly walked with you toward your office. “How was your weekend?” He smiled brightly at you.

“Fine, Brett. Do you need something?” You sipped your coffee quickly trying not to drop any files.

You could see his face fall for only a second. You felt a bit of guilt rise in your chest. He hadn’t done anything yet, and you had been a bit harsh with him.

“Oh, um- I just- well,”

He started nervously stuttering. You just about smiled. It was almost cute watching him all flustered like this.

You quickly shook your head at the thought of him being cute. Brett had been a nuisance the minute he stepped into Cognito Inc. The idea of thinking of those sweet amber eyes as cute was ridiculous.

Brett smacked into you as you turned, your files falling and your coffee spilling everywhere.

“Goddamit Brett! I spent all week on those fucking files!” You got on the floor and tried desperately to salvage any. You had spent hours on these. You knew you should’ve backed them into the computer database. Screw you and your stupid love of paper and pens.

“I am so sorry Y/N, I wasn’t looking and I-” Brett was down on the floor with you, wiping up coffee with his own sleeve. Of course, he would use his own fancy suit in a time like this. Always proving to be a good person even when someone was yelling at him. His hand bumped into yours picking up the papers. His hand was warm and soft. You felt your face heat up. With anger, right?

“Please let me make this up to you.” His watery eyes looked into yours, almost begging you. You liked the look on him. Innocent and needy. “Let me make you dinner tonight! You could come over to my place and I’ll help you rewrite your files.”

He looked at you with pleading eyes. You felt a heart rise in your chest and to your cheeks. As much as you hated him, you knew how long it would take if you tried to redo all the work yourself. With a deep sigh, you nodded. He lit up, a smile returning to his face.

What was the worse that could possibly happen? A free meal and not sitting alone at night sounded kind of nice, even if it was with him.

“Are you ready?”

Brett was holding his keys, twirling them around. After an exhausting day of work, he still seemed perfectly put together, while your ponytail was almost completely out, and your lab coat stained with whatever mysterious liquid JR had you test today.

“I’m driving.” You grab your keys and start walking out the door, undoing your ponytail and letting your hair fall. Your lab coat came next, letting it hang off your arm as you felt the cool breeze on your shoulders.

Brett quickly followed. “Oh! Okay, um I’ll give directions.” He was staring at you wide-eyed. You realized Brett had probably never seen you in any kind of none work attire. You had never exactly seen him outside of work. You didn’t really go to any of the work parties or late-night drinking, and Brett had only been with Cognito for a few months.

You looked down at yourself in your tank top. It was a bit more revealing than you had remembered, showing off your chest more than you wanted. You pulled your arms toward yourself, feeling embarrassed.

Brett looked away, bright red. You realized had been looking at you. THE Brett Hand had been looking at you. Your cheeks flushed, and you picked up your pace.

“I don’t know how clean my apartment is, I haven’t had people over in a while.” Brett was walking with you briskly.

“Really? I would think you have girls over all the time.” You chuckled.

“Why do you think that?” He looked at you cluelessly.

You were embarrassed now, having to explain your joke.

“Well, um, you- you’re quite attractive so I just thought you’d, you know-”

“You think I’m attractive?”

Your face was red. You kept walking forward, quicker than before, and from the corner of your eye, you could swear that Brett was blushing too.

The drive there was quick, you focused on the road while Brett tried to hide a constant blush. You couldn’t believe you had called Brett attractive. And to his face! You had never found Brett attractive before, had you?

Dinner was quiet, and most of the work was too. You didn’t think you had ever heard Brett be so quiet. It wasn’t as nice as you thought it would be. You could feel that all-so-familiar panic set in. The thought you had fucked everything up forever. You had gone and done it again-

Brett spoke up quietly, his voice a mere whisper.

You kissed him violently, digging your hand into his hip. His hands hovered against your waist, almost afraid to touch you. You moved to his neck, breathing hot air onto it, listening to him whimper and buck his hips up into you, desperate for some friction. Biting down on his neck, he let out a gasp. - Reagan has never really.. thought about romance tbh.. never really thinks that it’s totally weird she has no interest romantically in any guys she meets up with or anything of the sort .. she starts to think she’s just not really into dating .. and then you come along

- it becomes clear to her, but not at first. She in fact doesn’t even realize she has caught those feelings.

- but it’s so obvious, she’s blushing and staring at you like some highschool girl, she does that nervous thing where she plays with her hair or puts a strand behind her ear, all of that bro

- she also gets kinda awkward mid conversation and laughs awkwardly before leaving the conversation. She has a habit of wanting to talk to you so she will talk to you for such a long time even if there’s nothing to talk about lol . Let’s hope you’re a good talker

- also since you totally work with her cuz duh, she actually cuts you slack unlike the others. Like everyone could be high as shit (you included) and she’ll yell at them but not you

- she talks about you a lot when you aren’t around and it’s so obvious she’s into you because she’s not only smiling like a dork but she ends up gushing about you. Mainly talks about you to robotus and Brett but sometimes the others too but they usually tell her to stfu (Gigi will tell her to go on tho)

- “god… aren’t they great…? Such a talented woman..” She says with a dreamy smile, elbow on desk, cheek smushed on her hand.

- she twiddles with her thumbs sometimes when talking to you, she was already bad at eye contact but holy fuck it’s so much worse and she’s even more awkward around you

- she doesn’t realize she likes you until brett suggests she ask you out and she’s like “wait what why would I……. Oh shit…”

- as to which she’s now in panic mode because holy shit she likes girls? Like girls for real and not boys? Has she ever even liked an actual boy? Like really genuinely liked and thought she’d end up with forever and marrying and having kids with?

- she’s also panicked becsuse should she ask you out? Holy shit what does she do? Girl is at a loss

Reagan might need some time to adjust, physical touch just is not her love language at all lol. So please give her space! She will need to get used to you being so clingy. That aside, she does deep down find your sappiness and your romantic side to be grossly endearing and sweet. Just don’t do it around the others. She’s glad to have somebody that’s nice to her and truly appreciates her, and she can relate to being insecure. It really sucks because she doesn’t know how to help, but she thinks the world of you.

Brett may not know how to help with confidence (as he struggles himself) but he tries his best to be a good support group for you. Truly loves how kind you are! People are usually nice to him, but of course there are people that are really fucking mean to him and take advantage of him. Andre I would like to say is laid back himself (when he’s not sober at least) so you guys usually like to just relax and maybe smoke a bit together! He enjoys being around somebody on the same wavelength as him and isn’t completely fucking insane lmao. He doesn’t know how you’re laid back without any drugs though.

Reagan probably needs somebody like that in her life? Yeah she cannot for the life of her understand how the hell you’re always so relaxed, but you also help her calm down when she’s spiraling and doing something she will later regret. She enjoys having you around, you’re good for her :)

Ok so keep in mind I’m writing this on my phone, so the grammar is going to be iffy. But this is my Reagen Ridley x reader ‘asking her on a coffee date’ scenario(s). Also I don’t mind taking suggestions or requests! Feel free to leave them!

Anyways,

Reagen probably wouldn’t be the one to ask you out. She doesn’t have many friends, and while she thinks this mindset is clique, she doesn’t want to ruin your friendship.

In the case she does ask you out (basically admitting her feelings for you), she would be really embarrassed and have a hard time playing it cool. you would probably have to interrupt her saying something along the lines of “coffee sounds great”.

In the more likely case of you deciding to ask her out. I would suggest maybe not getting her something fancy. This means No flowers, no jewelry, no heart shaped container with fudge/chocolate inside.

Getting her a gift is fine, it just has to be something that wouldn’t overwhelm or over stimulate her. Something sentimental and dumb like one of those corny pens with a plastic flower appended to it. or a regular container with fudge/chocolate inside.

Oh yeah and while you’re asking her out some disaster is probably happening with in cognito inc. it’s routine to see something go wrong at your job. But the rush of the situation and the adrenaline really helps you say what you need to say in the most concise and romantic way possible.

Reagen would probably respond with something like “Yeah coffee sounds great!….. but uh- Let’s just avoid Starbucks, they always misspell my name and I can never tell if I picked up the right order or not.”

Once you nail the confession, it takes a day for you to realize that the two of you never fleshed out the details of your date. Which sucks because that means the both of you end up having a very awkward conversation about ‘hanging out’ after work. And while you find it to be a little painful, seeing Reagen flustered over something so small makes you smile. She’s so dorky but at least she’s cute.

You both end up having a wonderful time. And the two of you end up making plans for the second date.

Bonus!

The gang eventually hears about your coffee date after making fun of Reagan (again) for being lonely. You find out about this because during your lunch break, they all interrogate you. You admit that you had one coffee date and assure them that you’re not a robot of her creation replaced by the actual Y/N.

You and Reagan laugh about their noisiness on your next date.
