Course Description

Still trying to get used to meditating regularly. This is my progress so far. I don't have a specific time of day I set aside for meditating - I just do it when I realize that I haven't done it yet. Hopefully it's a step in the right direction.

Insight timer: Practices of Self Care
Day 1 -
I got distracted right off the bat but I recognize that how I talk to myself is within my control and how other ppl perceive me is not. So when I immediately get anxious and catastrophize about something, it’s within my control to change that reaction. I can also be nicer to myself as I practice this.
One thing I love about myself: my hair and skin look really nice today.
From doubt to trust
Day 2 -
Talked about imposter syndrome and acknowledging successes. I have doing end of year reflections and resolutions. I have a really hard time looking back and being introspective. But I did accomplish a number of things this year that I wasn’t sure was possible previously. I got into and graduated from an mfa program, I auditioned for a few projects, got coached on one, produced theatre shows, managed a non-traditional schedule, moved to NYC, kept a number of plants alive. Lived mostly on my own. Managed a variety of relationships. Directed an opera! So there, I accomplished many things. I’m not the failure I often tell myself I am.
