My favorite part of the TFP theme song is that it implies that Optimus shot Starscream down with little to no effort, to the brilliant backdrop of the epic explosion Starscream himself created for truly the Prime of all time What a guy.

I'm gonna go over both The Secret Portal and School of the Legends.

This video was helpful for figuring out how to make magic system for TSP, using Avatar the last Airbender as an example.

I do have the four elemental "bending" in TSP, as a bit of inspiration from ATLA as well, but I did world building before I saw it, so it's obviously not the sole inspiration. When world building for TSP back as a high school freshman I kinda hung around Superpower Wiki and browsed and made a detailed system.

X-Men was another source of inspiration due to the mutations, which also inspired SOTL, as it too has a school for "gifted," although I also included "magicked" and "cursed" in there.

I don't really have specific points of inspiration for either past that, or at least I don't remember specific points of inspiration, so I'll just summarize the rest under the cut if you're curious.

TSP has a magic system in tiers called Classes that determine rarity of the power, with a (supposed) fixed system of which powers can be found within the people.

Class One: flight, superspeed, superstrength, invisibility

Class Two: healing, intangibility, hydrokinesis, terrakinesis, pyrokinesis, aerokinesis

Class Three: teleportation, telepathy, telekinesis, shapeshifting, metallokinesis, photokinesis, umbrakinesis

Class Four: chronokinesis, energy conversion, dimensiokinesis

Each power has its own defined Level that can be increased with enough training and genetic predisposition. Everything is based on pseudoscience, as in another dimension, the rules of the universe are different, therefore the impossible can happen.

SOTL is a pure fantasy, meaning the powers are just magic.

Gifted - born with powers

Magicked - learn powers through other means

Cursed - given powers by another force

And that's it! Given my definitions in this world, bad gifts and good curses are a thing.

Video game I saw in a dream. It was in this low poly style like an older video game. You play as this character I think was meant to be a lamb, or maybe a weird mix of a lamb a mouse and a rabbit, (while not really looking like any of those things) and you’re running away from a wolf. Your objective is to last as long as possible before the wolf catches and eats you.

The house you’re running in is endless and bizarrely put together like most building interiors in dreams are (like the infinite toilet dream dimension on Reddit lol) the layout of the house is pretty detailed, you can stop and hide in places like closets or bins while the wolf looks for you, you can go up and down stairs and into rooms etc.

You never actually know where the wolf is or how close it is to you until it appears in your line of sight, it makes no noise and the game gives you no way of knowing where it is, and it’s pretty unpredictable it doesnt move at a consistent pace. When the wolf catches you there’s an animation showing it eating your character
