I am first and foremost an avid reader of poetry. I host a podcast about poetry's history. My first book is a small collection of poems about rising up during hard times. I can’t believe 10 years later, the shiest kids from 8th grade Tech Ed class would be just talking up a storm together; over the course of this bumpy ride, you’ve been pushing me through this unfriendly weather. I believe you to be a godsend; I’m just so glad to know that all of the troubles I’ve faced, you seem to have already weathered. You and I are almost one in the same, and I don’t know if we’ll ever be together, but I’m so glad to have you in my life. All of your inspirational posts I’ve seen make me want to cry. I have this feeling i’m gonna get my bff back someday, but til then, Miranda, you will be something that I’ll always appreciate.

I write this poem with deep sadness in my heart. My grandfather Mohammed Adigu, sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 93. He was a real character, an imposing character, in his younger days, but mellowed into grandfatherhood. From Ilorin to Manchester his smiling personality lit the way. You will be truly missed.
