got here by taking ur threatening wolf uquiz and now im real curious !

what are some examples of mutations? how do mutations look 4 furios? explanation on formas attraction 2 cogmol (y? what does that look like? how does it usually end?)

those r the most pressing 1s i have, sorry if it's overwhelming oo;

i think cogmols r silly 4 being little gay dudes who formas's think r attractive. itty bitty and large <3, me on god.

Hello! Happy to see more people interested in threatening wolves :> always happy to expand on information n stuff :3 so keep asking away!

Lets start with the furios, their mutations range from negative to positive in survivability. Theres a decent chunk of furios who do not survive past ~3 months old because of deformities. Things like a warped skull, odd spine shape, tail kinks, missing bones or to many bones.

The positive mutations can be things like two heads, multiple tails, LOTS of spikes instead of one row (similar to a porcupine) deformed spikes and teeth that are somewhat curly. Thumbs! More fingers! Possibly an extra set of legs but thats been pretty rare. I dont rhink ive ever seen like water breathing or wings. (Thatd be sick) but i have seen twin flames or super strong fire breathe or acid spitting.

So formas attraction I made it more PG for uquiz. Some relationships are like that don't get me wrong. Where the formas lile cogmol and its a little relationship where they take care of anpack. But in certian regions/subspecies its more like cogmol are objects to formas that are basically incubators until they have no use. In which case they're eaten or run out of the pack.

That being said consensual relationships can be very enduring and cute. The cogmol typically helps with foraging and raising pups while formas hunts and gets food though these roles can change depending on the individual skill sets.

With courtship cogmol will do dances at formas to impress them. They have a little mohawk (not pictures in any drawings i had) thats somewhat bright and colorful they use during the dance to catch their attention and not get eaten.

All subspcies of threatening wolves can breed and they seem to be very genetically flexible able to hybridize with a wide array of animals from dragons to wolves to cats. Typically threatening wolves just stick to their species though. Whats interesting about hybrid offspring is say one is a werewolf and the other is a threatening wolf those offspring seem to mostly have threatening wolf traits. If the offspring found ones similar to it like different pack but same hybrid type and bred. They would only produce pure threatening wolves. Not sure how it works. It means hybridization is very difficult for those traits to pass on without turning back into a threatening wolf.

I think this is why threatening wolves have a lot of different fur patterns cause that seems to be one things hybridization keeps so to speak.

Threatening wolves live roughly 20~ years? In the wild probably closer to 50 in captivity. In an ideal world a mated pair of cogmol and formas could have a LOT of puppies and control a pretty large territory since most packs can be up to 30 members (depending on subspecies) thats a little dynasty!

Formas and cogmol alike can get very protective over a mate or over several mates. I assumed threatening wolves were polyamourus but since being monogamous myself i have noticed more monogamous pairings as well i used to brush off as "the other mates are somewhere else"

Attempted a Papyrus. This is Borrower!Papyrus from my own HC au of Borrower skeletons, inspired by the bitty au and borrowers.

His name is Case (a part of a clock, nod to the Clock borrowers family), he wears a napkin cape, and bottle cap armor. Don't ask where the gloves and boots came from. Tis magic.

Case is a spunky Borrower always getting into mischief. He loves the big humans and is the friendliest Borrower of the bunch. He is a gatherer and a hoarder of supplies, if you need it then Case is your go to skeleton. He gets lonely often so he tends to stick to his family group and keeps pet dust bunnies.
