for the blograte: m'gonna write this with full honesty. this was my last year of secondary school. i'm not going to uni until at least 2023, since i'm going to the army. i've had the most fun i've ever had in these past 3 years. so, my goal for the summer is to enjoy the moment, stay in touch with my friends & learn how to study without being in an institution that forces me to. also hope to get my studyblr going and perhaps meet new people with it. ❣️

Hey, study community of tumblr! I’m Milly, and I’m a high school sophomore in Shanghai, China. I hope I can become more organized and productive, as well as make some new friends, by starting this studyblr ♥️

brb manifesting my future to be all about early mornings, the smell of coffee filling my flat in the centre of a european city, i’m not using my phone for the first hour of the day, reading my book that i love and can’t ever put down, looking outside my window, there’s rain but the sun is out, the grass grows very high and very green, the air is crisp, birds outside are singing, the day ahead is long, i’m a student in a good university, i have a supportive group of friends that love me and i love them, we’re all different but our spirits are alike, i find myself attractive and funny, i see a therapist every week and can afford it, i hike to the nearby lake every now and then and sit quietly to think, i’m healthy, my skin is clean, my hair is long and smooth, i haven’t bought any new clothes and haven’t been on instagram since 2018, life is good

yesterday i found myself yearning hard so i picked up the corniest book i can think of that’ll quench my everlasting thirst for intimacy - nicole krauss’s the history of love. anyway, it’s really not corny! it’s great! i was reading a few pages as the sun was setting and found myself laughing aloud and just having a really nice time. so i highly recommend it. also changed a lightbulb and felt (quote unquote) “productive”

Life update to the literally 0 people who care:

As i was taking a walk this last wednesday i got bitten by some bug. The bite got bigger, itchier, more red and very swollen. I remember it happening to my friend so i was pretty calm about it for a day & a half but then i just couldn’t sleep at night because it was so swollen and irritated. The next day my dad gave me some antibiotic pills and we weren’t really worried. That until the bite’s size doubled in a day (to the size of nearly my entire thigh) so my dad came back to connect me to an IV in my bedroom (he’s a doctor! i’m so grateful we could do that instead of take someone else’s place in the ER).

Anyhoo, my mental state is shite, i’m stuck to bed and i’m very nervous because i’m drafting to the IDF in a WEEK. But i’m getting a little better everyday.
