I'm piggybacking a bit off of the last ask of asking for writing tips but I have an odd question... Am I the only person that struggles actually PICKING a book? It's the absolute bane of my existence because I feel like I can be so picky... Don't get me wrong, I love being a bookworm, and I'm trying to get back into reading physical books but it's so difficult to find a real taste of what the book is like without being completely spoiled or something... I miss when backs of books had an actual summary and not just NO.1 NEW YORK BESTSELLER!!!! It's so frustrating... I've been trying to get back into it by re-reading fond chapter childhood books read to me (The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane & A Wrinkle In Time). But at the same time I'm also trying to get into more "adult" books that isn't... Well, you try googling "adult books" and see how that goes, I didn't think too hard about what a poor decision THAT was. But I'm working up the courage to read Cat's Cradle right now to start with "Classic Authors" I guess!

Anyway I'm rambling here, I guess my question is... How do you pick out the books you read? I don't really have friends that read many books to recommend to me :')

no ok actually you've mentioned something that's been bothering me for a while - What The Hell Do Y'all Mea, Books Don't Have Summaries Anymore???? i have not once in my life found a book that didn't have a summary. i was in barnes & noble recently and everything i looked at had a summary. i have literally never seen a book without one in my life of reading & looking at new books on a regular basis

softcovers have theirs on the back. hardcovers are on the inside of the sleeve - lift the cover and it should be printed right there on the inside flap! summaries aren't legally required but both the author and Especially the publisher(s) know that no one's gonna buy a book without a summary. trust me, all books worth reading have a summary. if a book doesn't have one, it's probably not worth your time anyway. you just gotta know where to look!

so my answer to how i choose books... i read the summary lmao. if it seems interesting, ill either write it down to get later or ill get it there and then.

Before the summary though, i look for any titles that jump out at me from the shelf. then i look at the thickness. i like a bit of meat in my literature, so i tend to shy away from thinner books. thicker ones grab my attention more easily. then i look at the cover - if it interests me, then ill read the summary. i don't have specific tastes in title or cover. as long as it makes my brain "hm" thoughtfully, ill take a gander!

and really, if you have access to a bookstore (chain or not, ive found plenty of bangers in tiny used bookshops) or library, the best way to find a book is to physically browse. even if you dont buy anything, you can take pictures of books / write them down to buy online. but going to the store lets you search them out, examine the length, cover, title, summary - and easily put it back on the shelf or keep it. i hate shopping online bc there's ads, you can't examine the product, nothing really stands out since it's all portrayed similarly, there's limited pictures instead of the physical thing, and photos can lie.

plus, everything is (typically) meticulously sorted by genre & age range. when you go into a section with literature aimed at adults, you'll find exactly that instead of smut novels lmao. real life bookstores can be more accurate than online searches. & there's just something so good about walking through shelves, searching for that one book before you know it exists, smelling the paper... yeah...

#like for example i recently bought priory of the orange tree #ive been wanting it for a while and havent read it yet since im finishing something else #BUT! i remember when i first saw it #nothing had gotten my attention for a while #but then i saw the thickest fucking book ive seen in ages - which was automatically very sexy of it #and then the title was unique - priory of the orange tree??? whoah! what the fuck does that mean!!! #so automatically there was the interest of neat title + a new word that i get to learn + the implications of the word now that i understand #and then i picked the book up and it was deliciously heavy - & there was a Dragon on the cover. which. YES PLEASE #then the summary was fascinating!! the book was immediately seared into my brain! im very excited to read it #so thats a highly successful example of my book choosing Process #it checked all of my boxes so it was a win #most books dont check all of my boxes but as long as it hits most of them im down to clown yk yk #but yeah im picky too so! nothing wrong with being picky or having high standards! #rambles from the bog #my shelves are fuckin Full of books ranging from 'it was ok' to 'I WILL RECOMMEND THIS TO ALL WHO WILL LISTEN' #and then i have a drawer filled with books that i just could not care less about / dont like #but dont have the heart to throw away bc. well putting a book in the trash kills a part of my soul #i need to donate them... #but yes! i hope that helps! #and Thank You! i hope i get a callback as well...

1. what's the fic youre most proud of? I'm gonna go with Long Live the Queen. It's a lot of milestones for me. First writing I've publicly shared (in it's entirety), first reader piece, first explicit sex scene, first kink/bdsm writing, first monster fucker, first sci-fi, the shortest completed piece I've ever written. Idk it started off this whole really fun hobby for me, and I'm just really proud that I just went "fuck it" and made that.

4. what fic of your own do you read for comfort? For comfort? That's a tough one bc "comfort" is not the emotion I was going for when I wrote these lol. Uhhh, I guess if we go with "reassuring myself of my writing abilities" I would go with either Long Live the Queen (for all the reasons above) or On Earth. The latter of those two because Adrian is a comfort character, as I explained in another ask, but also because I really love his and Hector's dynamic and other people seem to enjoy it too.

6. what's the hardest part of the writing process for you? In general, it's not going on an ADHD ramble and infodumping. I want to badly to make this big beautiful world and tell everyone about it, but part of me doing these little pieces was to challenge myself to keep it short and not give more info that is necessary. Kinda failed at that with Lunch Break but I hope it came off as good world-building in a natural feeling conversation and not infodumping. I have a feeling I failed there, but you gotta learn from your mistakes. At least y'all got a demonic blowjob out of it.

9. what's your writing process like? Well first I start out with either a prompt, or just whatever I'm horny for. Then I commit word crimes. Tbh I don't really know? The prompt usually becomes the main focus, and then my brain just kinda fills in the rest on it's own. I don't know what makes me choose the settings or how far back from the main event I start the story. I'm just adding caffeine shots to my mountain dew and my brain goes "hey you know what would be fun?" and then my little gremlin hands hit the keyboard at random until porn comes out. Even better if I'm high. Because then I don't second guess a single word that ends up on the page until it's time to edit. You ever look at my stuff and go "jesus christ was was this fucker on when they wrote this?" The answer is weed.

14. Do you compare yourself to other writers? In a positive or negative way? I used to compare myself very negatively and put my work down, but I think I've gotten a lot better at that. Either I can now just appreciate a work without comparing myself, or I can put it in a positive light. If I feel like someone is doing something better than me, I take it as an opportunity to learn instead of putting myself down about it. I do slip up every now and again, I'm not perfect, but I'm getting better at noticing it when I do.

19. If you could write an ideal fic, what would it include? I am a slut for angst and hurt/comfort. I'm also just a slut. So plenty of smut. But also not gratuitous amounts or it loses its luster imho. So ideally it would have a good, possibly slow burn, lots of denial, a very cathartic sex scene, followed by OH NO levels of feels, more denial, possibly some outside force to generate angst and/or interpersonal drama caused by Not Talking (but for legitimate reasons in line with each character's motivations, trust, and understanding of other characters. Not "let me not talk to my loving partner who I trust implicitly for no discernible reason"). All within a consistent and understandable universe. But that's if I could, which idk if it's actually within my abilities. But that's everyone else's problem bc I'm gonna do it anyway.

They get caught by GCPD for dumb reasons (graffiti...) and while in lockup awaiting transfer to Arkham Jonathan has a panic attack (reason currently undecided, mostly bc he doesn't have his mask/hood, but I wanna add more spice to it.) and to help him calm down Jerome takes off his shirt and puts it over his head to help him calm down. that's it that's the fic. JK the rest of the LoH break them out and life continues.

• Antidote Sequel (16+) - A sequel to my fic Antidote. Just causal soft retired from crime scarejokes. fluff and hurt comfort, figuring out relationships, making out, heavy petting, but no sex bc consent is important and Jon isn't ready.

• Mr Mayor, sir (18+) - a rare nygmobblepot fic! au where Isabella never existed and Ed and Oz get together. heavy dom/sub vibes, Dom Oz of course. Low-key sugar daddy Oz. Don't have much of an outline for this, so it'll be a while.

• Dark Desires (18+ dead dove) - s4 pre Jeremiah reveal, Jerome kidnaps Bruce with the intention to torture him while broadcasting it live on television, but gets the wicked idea to fuck him instead. dub con with Bruce hesitantly coming to love it by the end. Lots of knife and gun kink.

• The Sketchbook - (?? likely 16+) - Scarejokes. Legion of Horribles era. Jerome snoops in Jonathan's notebook/sketchbook/journal and discovers Jonathan might have feelings for him and doesn't know how to feel about that. If i leave it as a one shot it could finalize with some fluffy feeling confessions. But I'm an angst lord who loves hurt/comfort (with lots of initial hurt) and for a multi chap idea maybe Jervis has some very strong feelings for Jonathan and tries to make a move on him, and Jerome saves him. Jon leaves the LoH bc he doesn't feel comfortable anymore around Jervis but they need him for Plans (Jon leaves behind his research, which Fries could finish from there) Jerome tracks down Jonathan bc he feels guilty and there's a lovely slowburn of them sort of leaning on each other and building each other up and healing as well as they can with their traumas. oh no I've turned this into another retire from crime AU FUCK I love this trope.

• Chemical Spill (18+ leaning dead dove) - S4 Legion of Horribles era, Jonathan makes a mistake and in a lab accident is mentally deaged/looses his memory to before his father finished his experiments with his fear "cure." I don't have much in the means of plot but I can see it becoming multi chap, possibly smut drabbles of the LoH taking advantage of his accident.

MULTI CHAP

• Caught (16+) - s5 au where Jeremiah just never goes crazy and the J Squad has been reigning terror on Gotham for a few months, until Jerome and Jonathan get caught. Jonathan gets caught in the scuffle and almost dies. it's got lots of angst and hurt/comfort. semi complete outline HERE

• Longs Nights (?? likely 16+ bc of mentions and references to sex, past assault, things like that. Ive also not decided on the Graphic-ness of a certain Important chapter, but that could be 18+ in a way.) - I have dreamt of this fic so much. Mid season 5-ish, when Lee has returned and is caring for Barbara's pregnancy. First chapter has Jonathan randomly showing up in Lee's office at the clinic being very vague about things until Lee manages to wiggle out that someone is pregnant and needs help, in which Jonathan admits it's him. (trans Jon C: ) Lee asks about terminating but he's several months along already and admits he's begrudgingly grown attached. idk I just really want to write a pregnancy fic. that's just plot for the first chapter, I got so much planned, including Jon not knowing who the dad is. mention of past Scarejokes, some side hattercrow (Jervis thinks he's the dad) with later batcrow (Bruce was at lees clinic trying to find some way to help him sleep when Jon shows up in early labor, and he ends up helping Lee deliver, and sticks by Jon's side and defends him when Jim and others are like "he's dangerous take the baby away from him!" They develop feelings for each other, bonded by Jon's very harrowing and high risk labor.

• ESCFF chapter 4 (18+ dead dove) - Jervis finally lays his claim and takes Jonathan's virginity, with surprising gentleness because Jon is still shaken from his assault last chapter. I'm debating between it being a soft quiet event in Jon's cell, or Jervis being a possessive ass and claiming him in the rec room for everyone to see so they know Jon is his.

• Arkham Haze (18+ dead dove) - another trans Jon pregnancy fic but this one is FUCKED up. he's in arkham. I have a whole outline written Here.

• The Crow (16+) multichap - A Crow origin/intro fic set in the pov of Edward in Arkham. s3 AU. Edward is moved to a high security wing, where he finds himself with an exceptionally strange neighbor. One of Hugo Strange's monsters. They have wings. They're young. And sad. And covered in scars. Edward can't help but feel for them. technically it's planned to be only nygmobblepot later on, but idk could have future Ed/Crow

• testing, testing (18+) one shot - Subject CA-13, or Crow for short, is being tested. it's not rare it's given tests, but this one is different. they want to test if it can have children? that's odd. hey... it doesnt want to be touched like that. stop it. stop it!

• a helping hand (18+) one shot - set after Ed (and later Crow) are released from Arkham. Mayor Cobblepot time period. Ed likes to ask random questions, and one day asks if Crow can have children. Crow recounts their experience in the past (testing, testing) and how they can't. one thing leads to another and Ed gives Crow a very soft and sensual handjob. planning on having implied trans Ed bc :)

TITANS

• Feed the Monster Inside (16+ likely) OS with ability for MC - I so desperately wish I remembered my plans for this. Mid season 3 AU, Jason escapes Jonathan. Cut off from the fear cure cold turkey, he's hit with horrible guilt and the weight of his recent traumas has reached rock bottom. Dick hesitantly bring him back home to the rest of the Titans so he can heal. This is all I remember :(

• Untitled (16+) short MC or long OS - A hanahaki fic, post S2. Jason has feelings for Gar, one of the few people at Titans tower who actually cared about him. Jason doesn't want to confess his feelings yet refuses to get the hanahaki removed. When he's on his death bed Bruce finally breaks his stoic silence he's had about it (he knew and kept it secret) and told Dick and the Titans Jason was dying and should come visit asap before it's too late. Bruce and Lee are convinced even if Jason's feeling become requited its still too late, there's been too much damage done to his lungs. Titans show up, lots of crying and begging for Jason to confess but he refuses to. One night when Gar is watching over him he quietly mumbles a soft "please, please don't die. I don't know what I'd do without you. I love you, please." And quite suddenly Jason is coughing like crazy. Blood, full flowers and leaves. Gar is convinced Jason is literally in the act of dying until in a show of absolutely horror Jason sticks his hand in his mouth and withdraws a blood covered stalk of Aster, roots and all. His love was requited. And he lives! after a long time in a hospital recovering. his lungs are very weak so he cannot fight crime anymore my boy has asthma and lungs that will collapse at the drop of a hat. him and gar are bfs :)

• Later is Better Than Never: (18+) OS - JayGar. Post S3. The night before the Titans leave back for San Fran a very drunk Jason breaks into Gar's room via the window and convinces him to have sex with him before he has to leave.

• Sensations (18+) OS - my rarepairs strike again with Hank/Jay. post s2 au where Jason never left the Titans. Blindfold training trope and impact play. Jason gets whiney bc Hank keeps hitting him with a baton in the same spots from different angles he can't predict and Hank teases him and says "Oh do I have to teach you how to take a hit too?" And makes him stand blindfolded while he just starts with poking and prodding him in sensitive places before upping the strength of his hits with intermittent teasing touches. Jason of course gets aroused by it.

• Sleeping Beauty (18+ dead dove) OS - S3. Jason wakes up after being revived in the Lazarus pit to Jonathan fucking him. that's it that's the fic. got borderline necro vibes bc of Jason was "alive" after the revival but hadn't regain consciousness yet.

• Just another SladeJayDick Fic (18+ dead dove) - S2 Fuck or Die. Slade previously raped Jason during his capture, and when Dick came to give himself up to Slade, Slade forced Dick to also fuck Jason or he would kill him, though he promised to let them both go afterwards. Fic is all sorts of fucked with Dick trying to comfort Jason during the fact. Slade hates that and decides to step in to makes things worse. Ends with them both very disheveled leaving the building, where the rest of the Titans catch up with them.

CROSSOVER/MISC FICS

Gotham/Titans -- New World, New Rules (15+) MC - Post 3.14 of Gotham, Bruce somehow ends up in the Titans universe. Late S3 of Titans. Bruce wakes up in Crime Alley and Jason finds him. Jason doesn't wanna bring Bruce back to his base bc he rlly doesn't want Jonathan getting his hands on him, so he begrudgingly takes him to Wayne Manor. There's lots of confusion on how Bruce got here. Idk much on plot. Fluff and angst probably. Jason rejoining the Titans, getting rid of Jonathan. Bruce eventually has to go home somehow.

• Vague Comics Verse/Titans -- Universal Constant (16+) MC - On a very regular patrol, CV Nightwing finds a TV Jason Todd who accidentally dimension travelled to the CV due to a minor startup villain the batfam had dealt with that involved attempting to open dimension portals. Lingering affects drew TV Jason there. Here are some Tags I have for it. Dimension Travel, Comics Jay takes one look at Titans Jay and goes "is anyone gonna adopt this kid" and doesn't wait for an answer, Awkward Relationships, Established Relationship, Fluff, Hurt/Comfort, Bruce Wayne's A+ Parenting (Titans), Bruce Wayne Is A Good Dad (Comics), Jason Todd is Red Hood, Dick Grayson is Nightwing, Mentions of Manipulation and Drug Abuse (Titans), Past Character Death (Jason), Bonding over Hatred of the Joker, "gee little Jay, how come your Bruce killed the Joker?", the batfam is chaotic. • Vague Comics Verse -- Ivy's Pollen (18+) OS - JayDick. Kinda what it says on the tin. Starts with them making their way home after a fight with Poison Ivy, seemingly lucky because Ivy used a pollen they were immunized to. Plot twist they were NOT it was just slow acting. They collapse into a horny mess in an alley and have sex. bottom Jason :). Bit of implied unrequited love on Jason's part as well.

• Universe is Dubious -- Indulgence (18+) OS - Jason/OMC. Jason's age is also dubious besides he's too young to drink. He gets drunk in a skeezy bar because he's been having some vaguely defined struggles lately. Cute guy flirts with him, Jason flirts back. They decide to hook up in cute guys car. "C'mon Y/n" Samantha called me from the entrance of the bar we were going to get into. She came closer, placing a hand on my bicep. "You're still thinking about it?"

I stayed silent, my eyebrows knitted, and my eyes fixed on the pavement. "yeah" I replied absently, having another puff of the cigarette held in my hand.

"do you really think you're right?"

"I don't know, Sam" I confessed, tossing the cigarette and stepping on it. "I think I don't wanna be right about this." with that, I turned around to join our friends.

The music playing in the bar almost made me forget what I had been thinking for two days.

Almost.

Two Days Ago

"BARNES!" I yelled from across the precinct's floor where we both worked. "WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?"

"charmin' as always, Y/l/n" he replied in that condescending voice of his, staring at board covered in pictures and notes.

"you dismissed my suspect." I stated, finally reaching the place where he was standing.

"it's our suspect, not yours" he corrected me crossing his arms over his chest "and we'd reached a deadlock"

"I told you to fucking wait, dammit!" I spat, hitting the desk in an attempt to draw his attention.

He jumped, spinning around so he was now face to face with me. For an instant, I saw panic in his gaze, quickly replaced by anger.

"I told you to follow Vargas, and did you, smartass?" I huffed. "see? We're fuckin' even"

I glared at him slack-jawed. "You're unbelievable." grabbing three manila folders from his desk, I made my way to mine. "and for the record, Vargas didn't show up, you fucker!" since my back was to him, I missed his eyes fixed on my form with something way different from anger, frustration or hate.

BUCKY'S P. O. V.

I stood still, staring at Y/n leaning over her desk to examine the manila folders with my jaw clenched, reminding myself that I hated her.

I needed to remind myself that I hated her every single day, because if I didn't, I knew shit would go south.

Unexpectedly, she looked up from the reports and her eyes dug into mines. I only mimicked her position, leaning over my desk, holding her stare.

Surprisingly, it was me who first averted my eyes, my ring tone catching my attention. When I looked at the screen, I saw an unknown number. "Hello?" I asked hesitant.

"Morning honey" my body went stiff at the voice, my jaw clenching while I tried to stay composed. "I made you some coffee, can you tell them to buzz me in?" I stayed silent "oh don't worry, I'm in"

I hung up and tossed the phone over my desk before stalking to the entrance of precinct just in time to see her appearing.

READER'S P. O. V.

I followed Barnes with my gaze, worried that something bad might have happened. However, in the entrance I only saw a redhead with a smile on her face.

"What are you doing here?" Barnes hissed from a considerable distance.

"I told you, silly" she let out a giggle "I brought you some coffee." When she tried to step closer to Bucky, I saw his trembling hand ghost over the holster he was carrying. "are you gonna shoot me, baby?"

Something in her voice made chills run down my spine, but I knew stepping in wasn't a good solution, so I stayed leaned over my desk.

"you can't be here" she stared at him with defiance before smashing her bag over the nearest table, making Barnes jump.

"hey" before I realized, I was walking to them. "Miss, who are you?" flash of madness crossing her eyes scared the shit out of me, but I didn't back off. Instead, I stepped between the two of them. "who are you?" I repeated.

"I'm James' wife" her reply shocked me enough to turn around and give Barnes a very confused look. "who's this woman? are you cheating on me, baby?"

I felt Barnes hand sneaking in the gap between my arm and my waist to grab my forearm "I fuckin' work here" I replied, completely ignoring the tug in my arm.

"then go work" she hissed "and let me catch up with my husband" when I didn't move, and irritated look made its way to her face. "I told you to leave, bitch."

Before I could reply, Bucky’s grip on my arm tightened and he managed to bring me closer to him, crashing my back against his chest.

"you can't be here, Dot" he repeated, managing to hide his shakiness from her. "leave. Now" The same shakiness that wasn't able to hide from me.

Due to the lack of space between him and me, I could feel how his chest went up and down rapidly and unevenly.

"But listen baby, I'm sorry" she whispered, suddenly switching to 'angel' mode. "I'm really sorry, please let's talk this out, okay?" She took a hesitant step towards us and I subconsciously pushed Barnes back in a very subtle way. "c'mon, let's go and have breakfast, and we'll talk. Please, honey."

"What is she doing here? Who let you in?" Rogers appeared in my peripheral vision, walking fast towards us. "leave. Leave right fuckin' now"

"great" that Dot girl muttered, taking a exasperated sigh. "Steve, this is between James and me, so don't you take this bitch with you for me to-"

Steve made his way to the redhead and, grabbing her arm, he guided her out of the precinct.

I spun to face Barnes, who was quickly putting himself together. "what the hell was that about?"

"you always have to meddle in everyone's business" he spat, letting go of my arm "don't you?" I stayed silent while he went to his desk to grab his things. "Tell Captain Fury I wasn't feeling well." and with that, he left.

The following day he didn't even show up.

"This place's amazing!" Lexa, another one of my friends, exclaimed excited. "let's look for a free table"

The six of us wandered around for a while until we found a free table. "what do y'all wanna drink?" Joe asked, getting up.

Joe came a few minutes after with everyone's drinks and we chatted for a while. Again, I was almost able to forget about it, but then I saw him sitting on a stool, leaning over the bar top with his back turned to us.

"guys, I've something to do." I stated, grabbing my drink and getting up. "be right back." said that, I made my way to the stool besides his. "you didn't show up yesterday, nor today."

He frowned before moving his head to glance at me. "fuckin' hell..." he groaned, shifting to look at the wall full of bottles across us. "outta every fuckin' bars, you hadda come here?"

"gosh" I scoffed, taking a sip of my drink before mimicking his posture. "it's not like I'm looking for you, Barnes, so get your head out of your ass."

He huffed, letting out a humorless, dry laugh. "it's always a fuckin' pleasure to talk to you." I rolled my eyes and he looked over his shoulder. "come back with your friends, 'cause we've nothin' to talk 'bout"

I ran my fingers through my hair and, taking a deep breath, I glanced at him. "that girl, Dot" he went stiff and my heart sped up because, damn, I didn't want to be right, but it seemed like I actually was.

"what 'bout her?"

"is she really your wife?" I asked, tiptoeing around the topic. "we've been working together for seven months already, and you never mentioned her."

"what happened between the two of you?" He let out a weird laugh, letting his forehead rest against the wooden surface. "You're drunk"

"not enough for this conversation" he groaned with a smirk on his face. The corners of my mouth twitched up at the view and something in his eyes seemed the lit up. "If you wanna stay" he took another look at my friends before turning back at me. "maybe at the end of the night I'll be drunk enough to talk 'bout it"

I pursed my lips in a tight line, staring into his eyes to see if he meant it, because I really really needed to know what happened between them.

After a couple of seconds, I turned to the barman "hey sweetheart" I called him "keep the shots coming here, will you?"

Barnes let out a chuckle, but this time it wasn't weird, and it wasn't dry. This time it was genuinely amused. "eager, are we?"

"you could say so, yeah" I replied, giving him the ghost of a smirk while the barman put the drinks in front of us.

"Okay okay okay, but-" he started to laugh again and I nudged him "Nononono, listen-" a couple of giggles escaped my lips before I could keep going. "it's true!"

"it ain't true, darlin'." he said between giggles. "Romanoff 'n Stevie- that's insane"

"I'm tellin' you, Barnes" I replied, taking a swig of my beer. "one- don't laugh at me! One day we'll find 'em fuckin' in the office."

"You're crazy" he stated, finishing his beer.

"whatever" I looked at the clock. It was past 4 am already. "Barnes" I whined turned to him. "Tell me what happened between you and Dot, pretty please" I pouted at him, leaning over the bar top and getting a bit closer to him.

He groaned, leaving the beer aside to look at me. "ya really know how to spoil the mood"

"we're drunk as fuck already" I propped myself over my forearms, getting even closer to him. "c'mon Barnes."

With an exasperated sigh, he moved to tower me. "I swear, Y/n, you get me on my fuckin' nerves."

"I know, and I love to do it" his jaw clenched and his eyes traveled to my lips for a second. "you get me on my nerves too, y'know? But I don't care" he gave me a confused look "it's kinda... Our thing, so I don't mind it"

"You're sweet when you're drunk" he stated, half smiling at me. "wish you were this sweet all the time."

"nah" I retreated to my initial position with a teasing smirk on my face. "you love my rude ass side."

He stayed silent, which made me turn to him to check he was okay. "I do." he mumbled "I love your sweet side too." after taking another peak to my lips, he leaned on me and, without thinking twice, I closed the gap between us.

Our lips crashed and, while his right hand went to my cheek, his left traveled to my thigh. Letting out a muffled moan, I let my hands roam over his upper body. "let's get outta here" he mumbled against my jaw.

"yeah, let's get the hell outta here." I pulled away to clumsily grab my purse and pay the drinks, though t was a difficult task to accomplish with Barnes lips attacking my neck.

"you sure 'bout this?" he whispered, pulling me away from the bar top as soon as I had paid. " 'cause you're gonna regret this in the mornin'."

"I'm a grown ass woman" I replied, exiting the bar and pulling him into another sloppy kiss. "my place's near."

Within minutes, we were bursting into my house, tossing or clothes all over the place in our bumpy way to my room. "I'll tell you everythin' tomorrow" he mumbled, taking off his shirt. "I promise"

"Okay" I managed to say, unzipping my pants and letting him take them off. "I'll take your word for it"

He took off his remaining clothes and I did the same "Good" he groaned more than said, picking me up.

"Good" I echoed, letting him carry me to my bed.

Fuck, we were really going to regret this, but I couldn't care less.

Episode 9 - "I GOT A SUPER IDOL AKJSDNKSJANDKJ" - Kenneth

At the last tribal, Toph was voted out. During the past round, Keith found an exile ticket in the idol hunt and is in exile this round. The individual immunity this round is a 'chop the rope' style of Touchy Subjects. It will be followed by an instant tribal council.

ANNA OU- the execution of the vote was an absolute mess this is embarrassing y'all... i'm really starting to not trust ellie more and more considering the way this vote went! the way we were originally gonna vote toph but all this mess led to us flipping votes to brayden, which was a fail cuz he played the idol to himself and not toph LOL and not babs giving the idol to ellie cuz she would've gone home tonight!!!!! thank god the end results were still in our favor, getting rid of toph, but raffy is pissed once again lmao. this twist is very interesting, because i knew ahead of time that keith was gonna poof this round but i played dumb and whateva! it's kind of concerning cuz it might actually be a 4-4 split this time which SCARES ME so the extra vote consideration might be even higher. I really wanna win this Touchy Subjects challenge so the votes don't pile onto me (even though I fully believe it'll be either Dennis or Ellie lol)

my bestie toph just went home and im so sad :( he was literally my closest ally in the game and i am literally sooooo sad that he’s gone. but i did use my idol on myself which ended up being good bc if i didnt i would have gone to jury. just like everything is going wrong for me at this point and im on the bottom pretty much with raffy and anastasia. we needed to flip 2 people to have majority, BUT KEITH LEFT TO EXILE ISLAND AND HE WAS THE MAIN OPTION WE WANTED TO FLIP, so now that leaves kenneth and babs and we have to flip both of them or we are out of here. so we have our work cut out for us, but i really think we can flip babs because like they would just get like 6th place without us, and i just gave i think a pretty good pitch to kenneth so i really hope he considers it and doesn't just run and tell his majority alliance like he did with anastasia. anyways the challenge is touchy subjects and im nervous and i kind of am wishing i voted kenneth for biggest goat but i think i put riley and i regret ut. i hope someone says kenneth as biggest goat or something so it opens his eyes and he realizes he is literally number 4 to a solid 3 and should flip and be number 4 in our not at all solid 3. anyways i really hope i live this round

Captain Exile's log, Entry #58. I have been on exile island for an hour. it seems like forever... my mind is slowing turning into mush. I fondly remember the days I would plot Raffy's demise. Those days now seem like a lifetime ago.

I wonder why the 3 time keeping hosts have forsaken to this island, making me a fool by calling it a vacation. I also will never forgive them for not having an exile island hidden immunity idol. I should have asked Jay to send her cat to keep me company. . opportunity missed.

I'm too nice for orgs. I reload video games when I accidentally select the mean dialogue options because I don't want to hurt any character's feewings. Which... is NOT the same as genuinely thinking everyone is a pleasant person.

hey everybody its round 9. i played my idol to save myself which was so cool but im sad that i had to do it bc now im really vulrunable and have no protection in this world. my only alliance left is anastasia and raffy and i dont even know if i can actually trust raffy bc he just voted toph off, but like i have no other options. also i jut realized i thimk i actually did send a confessional this round but its ok. the challenge is touchy subjects and i know i have pretty much no chance of winning but i hope i get asked whos a goat so i can say kenneth and maybe he’ll flip. the plan is to go for riley this round since they arent a huge player and hopefulyl anyoen who flips would be fine voting them. i really really really hope tonight isnt a hands up tribal bc that would be really bad ;)

The only other time I got something from the shop was my first ever purchase which led to an extra vote! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE because I feel like I have more options moving forward now, and I can make risky, but game-changing moves!! I will absolutely be saving the super idol as much as I can, hello?!?!?! I wanna make it to FTC so bad and ensure my spot in Final 5, so I just have to hold on until then!!!

I was completely over Toph's vote out. Like, it just is another demonstration of my "allies" not trusting me. They thought that I told Toph all about the plan to vote him instead of Brayden. They think I ratted to Anastasia and Brayden about the whole deal. It was incredibly frustrating to wake up from a nap with my allies not trusting them. And then they wanted me to vote for Brayden which would have landed Ellie in the jury house. Like, the plan was perfect, but Dennis, Babs, and Ellie just talked themselves into a paranoid mess. After the vote, I managed to talk myself into the good graces of Brayden and Anastasia after voting out Toph. What I said was "If y'all still want to work together, I'm down, but I didn't necessarily trust Toph. Additionally, I was approached like last minute to vote him because of Ellie's idol (they told me about it just before the vote). And I didn't want Brayden to go (didn't know about your idol)." They seemed to buy it?

I went on call with Dennis afterwards and basically asked for Riley to get voted out this round because they are Ellie's immoveable ally. They will never want to work with me. That's dangerous. It could give Ellie a lot of power in this game. Dennis seemed to agree. I also realize that Dennis has a crystal clear view of my game. He knows the type of game I am playing. That scares me. I need to play this game with the knowledge he can turn on me at any time.

My current position is in the middle. I am working with the heads of both sides in this game. I am working with Ellie, Dennis, and Babs on one side. And Anastasia and Brayden on the other. Kenneth is on the Ellie side, but I think my avenues with him are currently closed. What's the most frustrating is that Anastasia and Brayden are so misted by Babs that they can't see that they are LYING. Straight to their faces! Talking about wanting to be allies. Like, I need them not to spill to Babs about anything cause then I would be exposed.

Kenneth uh this tribal was... literally not in our favor at all... riley was gone the whole time and we didn't throw raffy under our bus when we should have... rip well riley wasnt in my end game plan anyways but its still pretty unfortunate to not have them around for the next couple of votes... i wouldve pitched for raffy harder but it didn't even matter because riley already submitted the vote for brayden :/// just a lil' unfair but it's SURVIVOR i guess!

Keith I woke up to a surprise. I was expecting to be another day on this island but it wasnt to be... This was a round came with a surprise tribal after the challenge. So yayyyy me.... bye bye Exile.
