French TV journalist having a hard time trying to get woman in the street to comment on Macron's latest speech yesterday
Protesters organised casserolades (aka banging on pots and pans) in front of city halls across the country at 8pm, when Macron was speaking, to symbolically drown out his voice. Later that evening, Macron was filmed singing a song with some 'random people' in a street in Paris, trying to show he can go out and meet people and have fun because protesters don't exist. The people he was singing with (members of a choir, some of whom are 'alt-right-leaning') were using a folk song app created by far-right activists that was criticised a few months ago for hosting a Spanish fascist anthem & Third Reich military marches.
The government's response was that the President "couldn't know the background of the people he met that night." Maybe if he wants to avoid being associated with the far-right (that's a big if, I know), Macron should keep in mind that with the kinds of strategies and positioning his government has adopted lately, people in the street who welcome him with open arms and are proud to be filmed with him have a higher than average likelihood of supporting fascism.

Wormton's nest replaces canon Spamton's shop. The only part of it that's visible is a rotten cupboard door that sticks out of a massive pile of garbage nestled deep within the Trash Zone. Inside is a tiny brick room that's made even smaller by the nest swallowing up most of its volume. The nest itself is constructed with a light blue substance consisting of polyethylene plastic and a malworm's saliva that starts out stringy and sticky but becomes durable after hardening. Inside his nest, Spamton keeps an assortment of fabric shreds, discarded clothes, ripped up stuffing, bitten-off wires, flattened pillows, and whatever else he can find go work as bedding. He keeps his most prized trinkets, thingies, and doo-dads in his nest as well. Inside the brick building, Spamton keeps several garbage bags filled with whatever interesting things he finds in the Trash Zone, some of which he takes to attempt to sell as part of his salesman 'shtick. Due to malworms' great night vision and general disdain for bright lights, Spamton's entire nest is kept pitch black.
My little Minitru exterior model 🥺it’s so cute and tiny and finished
The interior model is three times as large and a fucking nightmare to design because it’s the exact same thing over and over again, and Particubes has no copy-paste function so it all has to be done by hand
I kind of miss getting to know the interior of other people’s homes. So many of my friendships in adulthood are distant, or long distance/only talking over the phone, difficult to make actual plans with because of Real Life Schedules Now, etc. etc., but like in school and stuff as a kid you can just hang out at someone’s house for a few days, have a sleepover every weekend, etc. etc. I still remember the interior of all of my childhood friend’s homes, I remember all the details to the rooms and the layout of the yards and etc. etc. There’s just something kind of neat about Knowing another person’s housing space, what the décor says about them, the history of how they came to live there and their household routines and what it’s like, etc. I feel like it can be an important part of really deeply understanding someone so it’s weird to talk to and vaguely know a handful of people, but also not even know what their bedrooms look like or how they organize the dishes after washing them or etc. etc.
