Scott didn't think it was a problem at first.

It wasn't like his dad had never had a drink before. Even before the accident, he would typically wind down in the evening with a glass of whiskey. That's all Scott thought it was. Just a drink to help him sleep a little easier at night.

There were other changes in his father's behaviour following the accident. He shut himself away in his office, would barely come out for meals or sleep. Scott had to take him his dinner most of the time, and half of that time he didn't even eat it.

Scott knew this behaviour wasn't good, but his dad was grieving and Scott knew he just had to let the man heal. He could take care of his brothers until his dad was ready to come back to them.

However, it was likely because he barely saw his dad, that the man managed to hide his problem for so long.

Hey, love the Jin!Wei Wuxian AU particularly Wwx's relationship with Madam Jin as it's so different from Madam Yu. Was there ever a moment where Mdm Jin realized she was truly fond of Wwx? Or Wwx realizing bringing chaos to JGS made her happy? Like 'ok, this six year old caught a snake and let it loose in JGS' bedroom after we had a public fight this morning and now I haven't stopped smiling--did this small child just make me feel happy? on purpose?'

lmao yes. Initially, Madam Jin took him in out of sheer spite (hey, if random kids of her dickhead husband keep showing up, then she’s damn well going to keep this orphan and just not say a word to JGS about it. JGS is too afraid to ask if WWX is yet another one of his bastard children, so that means he mostly ignores the heathen climbing the walls and setting shit on fire). 

And then Madam Jin realizes the level of sheer mayhem this little gremlin is capable of, and they strike a deal— WWX makes JGS’s life miserable, and Lanling will be a consequence-free zone for him. 

And eventually smug satisfaction turned to approval to affection and finally she was just like whatever, I guess he’s mine, too. Your loss, Madam Yu!

Was the kirkwall chantry built by the Chantry or was it a leftover from Kirkwall’s Tevinter days? Because unless its a repurposed building like many of the manors in Hightown the Chantry really has no business building something so extravagant when Darktown and Lowtown are Right There.
