I wrote more KimuYasha fic...
Two Hearts, One Idiot
Summary:
“What the hell could you have possibly said to make N’Chay so upset?!” Kinn demands. The prayer beads wrapped around his cursed hand clack softly with each disbelieving flap of his arms, “He didn't even bother to activate the necklace!"
"He didn't?!" Tankhun clutches a handful of wild herbs over his heart. He punctuates his question by inhaling a scandalized gasp... -- OR: Kim's inability to communicate causes major damage to his relationship with Chay after the group's brush with some flirtatious wolf demons (and Chay's subsequent rescue from said flirtatious wolf demons).

Inuyasha AU Concept
I've had this concept in my head for a while/ever since I finished the game and watched the show sooo I figured I'd throw it out there as an idea or inspiration if anyone is interested — Cyberpunk 2077 AU with the Inuyasha gang 🌃 Hear me out...
Tumblr media
The gang are a bunch of mercenaries that work for various clients through a network of fixers to do any kind of job that calls for their specific set of skills, each of them with their own agenda.
Inuyasha is the Leader, of course.
He grew up as a Nomad and worked towards becoming a professional boxer. When the love of his life, Kikyo, is killed, he's framed for her murder and forced into hiding, desperately trying to hunt down her killer.
He eventually finds love again after meeting a med tech, Kagome, who becomes the first recruit of his newly formed merc crew.
His cyberware includes the Sandevistan for super speed and Gorilla arms, allowing him an advantage in hand-to-hand combat. A sword would be great in order to stay true to his character, BUT imo a machine gun seems like it would be a better weapon of choice for him in this universe.
Kagome is the Med Tech of the group, often assisting with the crew's injuries and cyberware issues after a job is complete.
She meets Inuyasha after finding him brutally beaten and treats his wounds, off the record. She later realizes he is the man accused of killing her cousin, Kikyo, and attempts to call the police, only for him to escape.
The next day, Kagome finds herself in danger, a local gang cornering her into a dark alley. To her surprise, Inuyasha shows up and saves her, unable to forget her after she saved him. She has been loyal to him every since, working with him and her Grandmother (see bonus content) to find out who really killed Kikyo. She eventually falls in love with him.
Her cyberware includes the Monowire for long-range attacks (closest thing I could think of compared to her bow & arrow that's part of the Cyberpunk universe). Maybe a cross-bow?
Miroku is the Netrunner of the group, able to hack into any high-tech computer system due to his intelligence and vast amount of knowledge.
As a Street Kid, he grew up to be a con man, running various schemes to support himself. During a particular con, he ends up crossing paths with Inuyasha. They butt heads at first as they both go after the same prize, with Miroku successfully outwitting him during their first of many encounters. But the more they run into each other, the more they grow to understand each other, and he joins Inuyasha's crew.
Due to a mishap while netrunning prior to the crew, Miroku has become more susceptible to Cyberpsychosis due to a virus that is slowly killing him. Despite his best efforts, he is unable to remove the virus or reverse its effects. He has accepted his fate and just tries to make the best of it. However, he soon finds a reason to keep living when he meets the love of his life, Sango.
His cyberware includes the Sandevistan (gives him the speed to keep up with Inuyasha), and he has the Projectile Launch System installed on his right arm, which launches an explosive projectile from the palm of his hand (a nod to the wind tunnel of course).
Sango is the Soldier of the group, being highly trained in combat and probably the most lethal of the team.
She grew up in the Corpo life as a soldier-turned-bodyguard for some of the most dangerous government officials. However, after her family is threatened by the exact people she was sworn to protect, she leaves the life and becomes a solo mercenary in order to find her only living family left – Kohaku.
She is initially hired to kill Inuyasha and his crew, but after realizing they have a common enemy, she decides to join them– eventually falling for her womanizing comrade, Miroku, whom she becomes determined to find a cure for due to his impending death.
Her cyberware includes Mantis blades (a callback to the hidden blades she has), but she mostly relies on her trusty Katana passed down by her father.
Shippo is more of an honorary(?) member of the crew rather than a truly active member – don't panic!
Upon becoming an orphan, he relies on his wit, tricks, and pickpocket-ing skills to survive Night City. On one of his outings, he attempts to pickpocket Inuyasha, who quickly discovers him and threatens to hurt him.
Luckily, Kagome takes sympathy on the little boy and convinces Inuyasha that they should take him in. Despite their disagreements, him and Inuyasha eventually form a brother-like bond – the rest of the crew becoming family as well.
And although he usually doesn't join in on their hired jobs, his pickpocket skills do tend to come in handy sometimes.
BONUS CONTENT:
Kaede is a Fixer who sets up the various contracts that Inuyasha's crew handles (pretty much Wakako Okada from Cyberpunk). Being Kikyo and Kagome's grandmother while also believing Inuyasha is innocent, she heads the search for Kikyo's killer and helps the crew find answers where she can.
Koga is the Leader of the infamous gang Wolf (Tyger) Claws, known for their ruthless and territorial nature. Despite his hatred towards Inuyasha, Koga has a sweet spot for Kagome and often proves to be a resourceful and well-connected ally... when he wants to be.
Kohaku falls victim to Cyberpsychosis and is being controlled by a corrupt corporation. Sango strives to save her little brother and bring down the corporation responsible.
Hachi is Miroku's longtime friend and former con artist partner who will sometimes assist with jobs as the getaway driver when needed.
Naraku is (you guessed it) the CEO of the corrupt corporation that is controlling Kohaku, the man who is responsible for Miroku's virus that's killing him, and the man who murdered Kikyo in a fit of jealousy and rage when she did not love him back.
Parallel to Episode 132: During a job, Sango's cyberware is hacked into, causing her to start attacking her friends. Luckily, due to his Netrunning skills, Miroku is able to save her just as she's about to kill him.

The Young Lord's Bride (Part 2)
Part 1
Tahomaru brought you, Sesshomaru, and Jaken up a small hill and across some paths running parallel to a river.
"Some people say this river is haunted, but I don't believe them," Tahomaru said.
You looked to the river. You couldn't sense any demonic presence around it, and as you glanced to your older brother, you could tell that he also sensed nothing.
"All that child does is babble, babble babble," Jaken complained as he rode attached to Sesshomaru's fluff.
"If you continue to babble yourself, I will slay you," Sesshomaru said flatly and moved in such a way to shake his fluff.
Jaken screamed. "I'm sorry, Sesshomaru-sama! Please don't throw me offf and leave me behind!"
You were glad that you were riding on the horse with Tahomaru, as it gave you some distance from the circus of your brother and Jaken that you had to put up with all the time. It made you smirk a little too how Sesshomaru's eyes constantly glared disapprovingly at you for sharing a horse ride with an unfamiliar human boy.
Tahomaru led you to the gates of a large fortress. The guards, recognising him, allowed him entry. Upon hearing that you, Sesshomaru, and Jaken were his guests, the guards did not protest for all of you to pass through the gates, though they did look at you with suspicious eyes. It was no surprise and you were not offended. It wasn't every day that the human guards would see a pair of silver haired demons dressed in elaborate armour and fur. And then there was Jaken ...
"Don't mind them," Tahomaru said as you passed by the guards. He then rode over to the stables to return the horse you two were riding. The stableman also gave an odd look to you, to which Tahomaru raised an eyebrow, as if to say that he had no right to comment on who his guests were.
As Tahomaru handed over the reigns to his horse, Sesshomaru silently came behind you and grabbed your arm.
"We are not here to have fun, y/n," he said in a low voice.
"I know, Aniue. Calm down."
Sesshomaru stared at you, about to say something more, before Tahomaru's perky voice broke the silence.
"Follow me, and we'll have ourselves something good to eat!" He smiled and proudly led you inside.
Tahomaru brought the three of you to large dining area. "Make yourselves comfortable. The staff has already told my father that we have some unexpected guests." He turned around to glance back at Jaken. Not wanting to see the unfamiliar creature in his eyesight for too long, he rose his gaze to you. "Does that little demon normally dine with you and your brother?"
"No," Sesshomaru gave his unsolicited answer on your behalf
Jaken squawked and dropped his jaw.
Tahomaru raised an eyebrow. "I was asking y/n, but thanks."
Sesshomaru glared at him.
Tahomaru turned back to you. "Well, I guess it can't be helped. We'll have to dine with your little companion. I don't really want to ask any of the guards to babysit it, so it's probably best to keep it around and let your brother tend to it."
You smiled a little. "That sounds good."
Sesshomaru hummed disapprovingly under his breath. It was getting more and more difficult for him to keep his tongue at bay. However, at least Jaken was remaining silent, which was a miraculous feat onto itself.
All of you sat down at the table, Tahomaru assigning the seating positions. He wanted you beside him and Sesshomaru by the edge of the table next to a corner, so that the Demon Lord could keep an eye on Jaken, who was to remain more or less unseen and unheard at the corner. Sesshomaru was obviously very displeased with the placement and kept a sharp stare towards you that was basically saying "you will pay for this" in the gleam of his eyes.
Before you knew it, various servants came in to fill the table with food. Per your request, there was plenty of raw meat, as well as other cooked options and vegetable-based options that Tahomaru reminded you that you could try if you wanted to. He added with a laugh that he really liked food and could give some recommendations, and proceeded to talk about the farms that the stir-fried vegetables came from.
"You wouldn't believe it, y/n, but before I was born, we never had the vegetable harvests that we do today," Tahomaru ranted on. "Our land used to flood all the time and we suffered from major crop deaths --"
The door to the dining room slid open. Sesshomaru's gaze shot out of the corners of his eyes in the direction of the entrance.
"But my father, Daigo Kagemitsu, changed everything and saved the land --" Tahomaru continued proudly.
"Tahomaru, are you already bragging about that story?" the voice of Tahomaru's father asked from the door. He smirked a little, obviously enjoying the praise he was getting even though he socially had to pretend that it was unnecessary.
Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed very slightly at the sight of the middle-aged man. There was something not right about his aura. It wasn't demonic, but it also wasn't that of a typical human. Sesshomaru didn't know "what" he could call him, and that made him frustrated.
Tahomaru snickered a little. "I'm not really bragging, Chichiue. I'm just trying to tell our guests the truth." He proceeded to introduce you and Sesshomaru to his father.
Daigo Kagemitsu seemed to catch on to Sesshomaru's suspicious eye towards him. His face hardened very slightly before he sat down. "I must say, I've never found myself dining with demons before."
"They're not like those demons that cause trouble," Tahomaru said. "They're different, more elegant kinds of demons --"
"Don't rant so much, Tahomaru," Daigo said. His sharp, dark eyes looked towards you and then to Sesshomaru. "There's no need to be wearing armour. No battles are about to happen here."
"It's what I always wear," Sesshomaru said cooly.
Daigo straightened his shoulders some. "Very well. It's your decision," he said, taking one last look at you before he began to eat.

This was meant to be for @crossover-ships-brainrot’s crossover ships week But when I say life has been chaos I mean life has been 👹chaos👹
So here it is, very late but finally complete.
I don’t have guilty pleasures. I like what I like and I’m unapologetic about it so I won’t call them a guilty pleasure ship. I’ll call them my super niche OTP I keep close to my heart ❤️
My most successful fic I’ve ever written is about Loki and Kagome, and I still think about them all the time.
Thank you to @crossover-ships-brainrot for the opportunity to flail about things I don’t usually get to talk about much 💚💙
(One of these days I’ll draw Kagome consistently but today is not that day)

Protective Dad.
.....
Kagome(Warning voice tone.): InuYasha..
InuYasha: Mn? (Looks away at the crowd from the first floor, looking lost for a second. But notoo much for Kagome who sighs)
Kagome: Stop staring.
InuYasha had almost fell out of his chair, here.
That caught off guard, the protective guy with the purple headband covering his doggy ears, startled all up as he looked back at his wife who was sipping her drink..
InuYasha(Defends himself, poorly.): No, I wasn’t!
Kagome(Still not impressed here.): Then, why were you giving death glares to Ryuho, Moroha’s date?
InuYasha(Points away the table where Moroha and her date were laughing.): No! I wasn’t! There was a fly valtzing around their table, that’s why!
Kagome(Raises an eyebrows as she smirks.): You sure of that ‘fly’ wasn’t Moroha’s date, that you wanted to kill, uh?
InuYasha(Blushes as he looks away, annoyed.): Keh! I ain’t tellin’ ya, a thing!
But Kagome just laughed out her ass off of it, when InuYasha didn’t wanted to admit that he was the protective dad to his precious daughter, here. The worried kind of a dad.
Ha!

The Flame Hashira and The Priestess (1)
After Inuyasha's sacrifice, the Bone Eaters Well had sealed itself upon the completion of the jewel, leaving Kagome stuck in the Feudal Era with no hope of returning home. Kagome mourned the loss of both Inuyasha and her family and friends. Sure, she had Sango, Miroku, and Shippo around, but they would soon move on with their own lives.
After the final battle, Sango and Miroku married shortly after and before everyone knew it, Sango was expecting her first child. Shippo stayed within the village for a few years before he decided to leave and train and retake the fox demon exam.
Kagome obviously stayed in the village. She didn't want to wander too far from the Bone Eaters well in case it started working again. She learned all she could from Kaeda and from other priestesses that would occasionally pass through the village. Much too soon for Kagome's liking, Kaeda had passed away peacefully in her sleep.
The years passed by her in a blink of an eye. It wasn't until Sango and Miroku started to grow gray hairs did the trio realize that Kagome had not aged much after her 20th birthday.
"It probably comes with being the guardian of the Shikon Jewel," Sango said as she and Kagome strolled through the ever-growing village. "We don't know exactly what the jewel is capable of, so prolonging its guardians' life is definitely a huge possibility. I mean you haven't aged a bit after all."
Kagome sighed. She prayed that she would age alongside her friends, however, the jewel clearly had other plans for her. She didn't want to watch her friends and loved ones grow old and pass away while she continued to walk the earth.
The jewel was more of a curse than anything else.
"I didn't want this," she said softly.
Sango squeezed her best friend's arm, "Just think of it this way, Kagome. Perhaps you'll live to see your family again."
The mere thought of seeing her mother, grandfather, and brother, ignited a small hope within her. "You're right, Sango. Thank you."
It was quiet for a moment before the former demon slayer spoke."It sure has been quiet lately. Demon attacks have started to become less and less. We haven't had a single report of a demon attacking the village in months.
Kagome frowned. Demons not attacking the village was normally a good thing, "Not just that, but I haven't heard of a single sighting of a demon in the last few months either. I haven't even sensed any either."
"Maybe this is what happened to the demon," Sango said, "You said that there were no demons in the future. Maybe they just all disappeared?"
Kagome shrugged, "I'm not sure. Miroku suggested they learned to blend in with humans. The more powerful demons such as Sesshomaru or even Shippo."
"Bah," Sango waved her hand in a dismissive manner, "Enough talk about demons, let us go take a bath!" Kagome agreed and the girls rushed to get their things, giggling and gossiping the whole way there.
~X~
As the years continued to pass Kagome by, Sango eventually died. She was buried beneath the Goshinboku where Inuyasha rested. Not long after Sango's death, Miroku closely followed after her.
"Lady Kagome," the dying monk motioned for her to come closer to him.
"Yes? What is it, Miroku?" Kagome clasped his hand into her own, holding back her tears.
"I feel my time is coming to an end," Kagome bit her lip to keep from sobbing, "Promise me something?"
"Of course, anything!"
"After I die, please look out for our children."
Kagome nodded her head, "Of course!"
Miroku smiled and let out a sigh of relief. "I have left everything to you. Take extra care of the chest with all the scrolls stored inside of them. I made sure to record our adventures together. They contain our travels together, the legend of the Shikon jewel, and how its mysterious guardian brought us all together."
Kagome smiled softly. "You remembered that there was not much on the Shikon jewel from my time."
The monk nodded his head. "Of course. History will not know your name, only know you as the girl who saved the world from a great evil."
"That's okay," she said, "It's better that way. Everyone should know your names. Sango, Inuyasha, Shippo, Sesshomaru, Kouga, Kikyo even."
Miroku nodded his head in agreement.
They continued to make small talk and reminiscence of their shared time together. She stayed by his side until Miroku drew his final breath and slipped into the sweet embrace of death. It was only after he finally passed away did Kagome allow herself to cry.
He was buried alongside Sango and Inuyasha beneath the Goshinboku. "Be at peace, you guys…"
~X~
With the disappearance of demons, priestesses were no longer needed. Still, Kagome honed her abilities. After Sango and Miroku passed away, she lingered in the village a little while longer before deciding to leave.
Kagome traveled throughout the land, helping those in need. Whether it be exorcizing evil spirits, or delivering babies..She lost count of how many years she'd been travelling and things around her began to change.
Demons that once freely roamed Feudal Japan became myths and fairytales parents would tell to scare their children. The Shikon No Tama became a legend and not many people believed it, or its guardian actually existed. In each village she traveled to, she would tell the children stories of the heroes who saved the world by defeating an evil spider demon.
In time, Kagome became a nameless healer. Some people actually believed her to be a spirit stuck wandering the earth. While some believed she was a goddess sent from the heavens to aid those in their time of need. She stayed in each village until she felt she was no longer needed or the villagers grew suspicious of her never aging appearance.
She tried searching for Sesshomaru or even Shippo but with no luck. It was as if they had completely disappeared. Something told her they weren't dead. At one point in time, Kagome thought she had a really good lead on the Lord of The Western Lands, but eventually, the trail went cold and she was back to square one.
"Damn demons, always keeping themselves hidden!" she kicked a rock and adjusted her bow. All she wanted to do right now was cry, but she knew she had to turn around and head back to the village she had passed through a few hours ago. It wasn't safe for people to wander alone in the dark. Especially with the rumors of brutal murders happening.
And trouble always seemed to find her.
"A woman walking alone at night with no one around?" A voice all but purred in her ear. Kagome quickly turned to face the owner and she wished she hadn't.
Her skin crawled as came face to face with a humanoid creature. Its cat-like eyes stared at her hungrily, licking its lips. Kagome was frozen in fear. Never before has she come across a demon such as the one before it. The aura of this particular monster was different from anything she had ever encountered. It was filled with more malice and bloodlust that rivaled Naraku's.
It filled her with a fear she hadn't felt in a long time.
It gripped her jaw with one of its hands, its nail pricked her skin, drawing blood. "You smell delicious!" The monster licked its lips in anticipation.
Kagome closed her eyes as she waited for the demon to devour her. But it never came. The hand holding her face had all but disappeared, she caught a glimpse of ash before she heard the sound of a sword being sheathed.
She opened her eyes as the shock and fear faded and she finally laid her eyes on her savior. A tall muscular man with long spiky hair with red tips kept secured in a ponytail stood before her. He wore a calm expression on his face as he approached her.
"Are you well?" he asked her.
"Huh?" she blinked.
He reached up and wiped the small bit of blood off her cheek.
"Oh! Yes! I'm fine! It was just a scratch! Thank you for saving me."
"Allow me to walk you to the nearest Inn," he spoke softly to her and motioned for her to follow him. He headed towards the village she passed through earlier in the day.
"So…um, what's your name?" she asked him after a long period of silence.
"My name is Yoriichi Tsugikuni," he smiled at her.
"I'm Kagome Higurashi!" She returned the smile with one of her own, "I can't thank you enough for killing that thing back there."
"No need to thank me. I'm glad I made it in time before that demon made a meal out of you,"
Kagome let out a nervous laugh, "So it was a demon…"
Yoriichi nodded his head, "Yes… with each human they feed on, they grow more powerful, but do not worry. We'll protect as many people as we can."
She decided not to question it anymore and stay silent for the remainder of the trip. And true to his word, the man known as Yoriichi escorted her safely to an inn.
"Thank you,"
"There's no need. Please take care and try not to wander alone after dark." he turned to leave before he paused and looked back at her, "If you ever find yourself wandering alone at night, demons are repelled by Wisteria Trees."
Kagome smiled, "I will keep that in mind, Yoriichi. I hope we cross paths in the future."
He nodded his head before finally taking his leave.
Kagome spared one last look at the man known as Yoriichi.
"What an interesting guy…" Kagome smiled and she hoped they would meet again, hopefully under better circumstances.
~X~
Many more years passed, and Kagome never got the chance to see Yoriichi again. She did encounter quite a few people calling themselves demon slayers. She lost count of how many of them she had tended to in her travels.
"Geez, Masaru," Kagome sighed as she dressed his shoulder wound, "This is the third time in the last month I've tended to you alone! You need to be more careful when dealing with those demons!"
"Right…" he let out a nervous chuckle, "I'll try and be more careful next time." the demon slayer let out a sigh, "They're just so… powerful. The only sure way to kill them is to cut off their heads with a Nichirin Sword."
"What exactly is so special about those blades anyway?" Kagome asked as she finished dressing his wounds.
"They're forged with Scarlet Ore and Scarlet Crimson Sand which are found on Mount Yoko and are constantly bathed in sunlight all throughout the year," Masaru explained to her, "Other than decapitating the head, direct exposure to sunlight is the only way to kill them. Some of their regenerative abilities are… insane."
"I see…" Kagome gathered his torn clothes in her arms, "I'll make sure to wash these and sew the holes in them. For now, rest and let your wounds heal."
"Yeah yeah," he grumbled crossing his arms in front of his chest.
Kagome smiled softly as she walked passed him with the bundle of clothes. She spared a glance at the crow sitting in the open window, seemingly watching her like a hawk. It unnerved her really, the crow was with him every time he came around with a fresh wound.
"The demons of today's age are nothing like the ones we battled," Kagome sighed. She had only encountered the one demon Yoriichi saved her from, and she wasn't looking forward to meeting with any more of them.
However, she knew that eventually, she'd have to. "Perhaps, purifying them would work?" she knew no one of this day and age would know. She was the last living true priestess after all, and the guardian of the Shikon No Tama. She shook her head to clear her thoughts.
After the clothing he wore was clean from all the blood, she brought it back to the small hut she was staying in and hung it up to dry. Once done with that, she went inside and began to brew some tea.
Masaru watched her from his place across the small fire. Kagome was an enigma.
After a particularly rough battle with a demon, he and his companions were severely injured and probably would have died if she hadn't shown up. It was thanks to her that he and his companions even survived. By the time the Kakushi arrived, she was long gone and he thought their whole encounter had been just a dream. His companions didn't even recall seeing her at all.
Then he encountered her once more in the woods after a long night of battling. He had been bleeding in several places, none of his injuries was life-threatening, but they hurt like hell. She had dropped what she was doing and rushed to his side immediately. She led him to a small hut he thought was abandoned.
He stayed with her for another week after she told him he was fit to travel again and they became fast friends.
Masaru didn't know much about Kagome. He tried to pry for more information about her but to no avail. He hadn't learned a single thing about her other than the fact that she was rather lonely and had no family. He often caught her dazing off, a faraway look on her face, and he could never bring himself to ask what was on her mind.
He also learned she never stayed in one place for very long.
"Where do you plan on going after you leave here?" he asked her while she sewed the holes in his uniform.
"I'm not sure," she replied, "Wherever I'm needed I suppose."
"You should come back to the Demon Slayer Headquarters with me!" He beamed, "You'd make a great Kakushi!"
"I appreciate the offer, but I'm going to have to decline," she said.
Masaru sighed but didn't press the issue further. She'd be done fixing his uniform tonight and he'd be on his way tomorrow. He wished he could repay her, but each time he tried, she denied him, telling him he owed her nothing in return.
Just as he had predicted, when he awoke the next morning, his uniform was neatly folded beside him and she was nowhere to be seen. With a sigh, he dressed himself in the demon slayer uniform and sought out the mysterious woman. He found her beside the small stream of water.
"Kagome!" He called out to her.
She turned to him, "Good morning Masaru!" she greeted. "Are you leaving?"
He nodded his head, "I am."
She was always just out of arms reach, they were close, but not too close for her to become attached. She knew what fate awaited normal humans, and demon slayers tended to live shorter lives. She couldn't bear watching more people she cared about die.
"Please be careful out there!"
"As always," he said. "Until we meet again, Kagome!"
"Hopefully under better circumstances."
With a laugh, Masaru set off. His ever so faithful crow flying just overhead, leading him to who knows where.
"Until next time," she whispered.
The next time she saw Masaru, he was no longer alive.
It happened a few months later. Despite the warning she had received from Yoriichi, Kagome traveled along the pathway, her only source of light being the moon. And as she was passing through a smaller village, she sensed a demon.
She shuddered as she quickly made her way toward the demon, drawing her bow as she moved. She gasped as she saw the demon throw a body across the clearing. The body crashed through fencing and ceased any form of movement. She couldn't feel the aura from the person and instantly knew they were dead.
A scream ripped her from her thoughts. The demon had a hold of a woman, ready to take a bit out of her flesh. Kagome quickly nocked an arrow in her bow, "Hey ugly!"
The demon turned to look at her and laughed at the arrow. "You think a mere arrow can kill me?"
Kagome swallowed thickly, "Maybe not…"
The woman whimpered as the demon tightened its hand around her neck, "Don't make me laugh girl! Leave now and maybe I'll spare your life!"
Kagome scoffed, "You honestly think I'm going to leave while a damsel in distress? You're a bigger idiot than I thought!"
"What did you say?" his eye twitched.
"You heard me ugly! Now let her go!" She pulled the bowstring back, ready to release the arrow at any given second.
The demon laughed at her and threw the woman to the side, "Stay put." he turned his attention to Kagome. "You seem like you're the type that needs proof. Go ahead and shoot me, but once you do. You won't have another opportunity. I'll kill you right where you stand!"
"As you command," Kagome smirked. She didn't realize that the demons were so cocky, or perhaps it was just this particular one.
She took a deep breath, "Please work." she prayed as she released the arrow. It soared through the clearing, quickly being enveloped in a bright pink color. The demon's eyes widened as the arrow struck him and he felt his whole body be enveloped in the same color as the arrow.
"You bitch!" He screamed as he began to fade to ash, "What the hell did you do to me!?"
"Your the first demon of this era to have a taste of pure spiritual power." Kagome approached him, "So you were right, a simple arrow couldn't kill you. Unlucky for you though, it was no simple arrow."
Kagome walked passed him as his screams faded into nothing.
"Are you okay?" she asked the woman.
She could only nod her head, not able to find her voice.
"Now, go on home. No more wandering the streets out at night, okay?" Kagome helped the girl up and gently nudged her towards the homes. Once she was out of sight, Kagome rushed to the fallen demon slayer.
Her heart dropped in her stomach.
"Masaru…" she dropped to her knees. "I'm sorry I didn't make it in time to save you." She silently wept for the boy. "Be at peace my friend." She grabbed his sword and placed it beside him, surely he'd want it even in death.
She leaned down and placed a kiss on his cold cheek. "Thank you for everything." with a heavy heart, Kagome left the scene.
From that moment on, Kagome vowed to destroy any demon she came across.

When they had come the village held a small party for the return of their friends and the ladies were wearing a very elegant kimonos.
Severus saw Miroku flirting with other women to where Sango wants to hit him with Hiraikotsu. The Slytherin teen sighs at his friends behavior. Miroku will be a lecherous monk.
The perverted monk had been flirting with other woman to the point his other friend get jealous.
Miroku introduce some women to Severus making Y/n and Sango smack his head so hard. The Demon Slayer will literally slap Miroku's face so hard that the other women will scattered away.
The Ravenclaw girl then glares at Miroku. “Lecherous Monk.” she mutters under her breath before grabbing her boyfriend's hand.
Y/n took Severus to a more quite and peaceful place so that she can spend some alone time with him.. And as they both cuddling a cold wind suddenly make their skin crawl and when the other Priestess turn to other side it was Naraku. The Slytherin teen then glares at the mask Half-Demon.
The Ravenclaw girl glares at him as Severus holds her close. “What do you want, Naraku?” She snarls.
Naraku smiles at her “Y/n the brave Priestess from other world...” Naraku never move from his spot and the Slytherin teen Took out his wand and pointed it out to Naraku “Human? *Scoff* Do you think that your funny looking weapon will harm me?” He said making Severus clench his hand in anger.
Y/n places her hand on her boyfriend's shoulder before glaring at the Spider Half-Demon in front of them. “What do you want exactly?” she asks in a monotone.
It wouldn't be obvious on what the Spider Half-Demon wanted. “Knowing you. You're looking for more sacred jewel shards but we have none.” she says keeping her eyes narrow at him.
Naraku grins at her making Y/n to feel disgusted. First, was Evans, then Sesshomaru, and now Naraku? Who would've thought her day would get any worse.
But she oddly feels fine with the Great Dog Demon except when he threatened to kill Inuyasha.
The Spider Half-Demon then tooks off his mask as he then smiles at the Ravenclaw girl. He had to admit she was so beautiful no wonder why Sesshomaru is attracted to her.
Severus then notice he was staring at his girlfriend. He then later stood in front of Y/n. “Quit staring at her Naraku.” he says glaring at the Half-Demon in front them.
The Spider Half-Demon remember looking at her through Kanna’s mirror. Beautiful and brave which is fits her very well. However, he notices how Sesshomaru looks at her every now and then.
He then starts approaching the two. The Slytherin teen was about to point his wand at him before Y/n stop him. As Severus move a side. Naraku then finally approaches her before he holds his hand out. The Ravenclaw girl was sure he would attack her but he didn't instead he just caresses her cheek gently with his hand.
“You are indeed such beautiful and fine woman.” He says still caressing her cheek. She looks away from him as he continues to do this.
Y/n widens her eyes. Okay, first off Sesshomaru is acting oddly towards her and now Naraku. This day wouldn't get anymore weirder.
The Ravenclaw girl was then snap out off her thoughts when the Spider Half-Demon chuckle. “We’ll meet again....” He says before disappearing. Y/n blinks a few times. “What just happened?” she asks to herself.
Severus then made his way towards his girlfriend. Naraku real pissed him off when he caressed her cheek.
The Slytherin teen caress his girlfriend’s cheeks and started to check on her “Are you okay, my love?.. Did he do something?” He ask worriedly and Y/n shake her head in respond still not believing what has just happened.. Did Naraku was attracted to her like Sesshomaru did? Why is this happening?! She ask to herself.
Speaking of Sesshomaru, the Demon Lord was following his scent along with Jaken and Rin.
However, another familiar scent fills his nose. Scent of berries, books, the sweets ate in a different era. He recognize this scent this the other Priestess’ scent who accompanies his brother.
“Jaken, stay here and watch over Rin.” The Dog Demon says to his Vassal. Sesshomaru went ahead there he saw was the Ravenclaw girl who he wouldn't stop thinking about and of course her lover who was often around her.
“Y/n....” He calls out her name. The two widen their eyes when they heard a familiar deep voice. The two look up to see the Demon Lord. “Sesshomaru?” The 70s Modern Era Priestess calls out in disbelief.
Strange, he address her by her name. Severus then glares at the Demon Lord. First Naraku and now Sesshomaru again.
The Great Dog Demon approaches the Ravenclaw girl “I smell the scene of Naraku in here.. Are you okay?” He ask making the Priestess look at him in confusion “Why do you care?” the Slytherin teen ask with the hint of jealousy into his Voice “For you information, mortal.. The only reason that I came here is because I smell the scent of Y/n and at the same time Naraku's smell was lingering all over the place so I rushed here immediately just to make sure that she's alright” Sesshomaru responded making Y/n gasp in disbelief... The Demon Lord turn on his back “You needed to br careful at most of the time, Y/n.. That mortal you're with can never protect you like I did.” He said before disappearing throughout the deep forest.
The Ravenclaw Priestess couldn't believe that Inuyasha’s brother was worried for her. But how dare he insult her boyfriend in front her.
Y/n drag Severus to the village the tell their friends what had just happened and how Naraku was sort of interested in her. Kagome and Sango were the first to approach her.
The two women then comfort their friend as she also told them that Sesshomaru also came out of nowhere. Speaking of the Demon Lord he then shows up to the village with Jaken and Rin following behind him.
Inuyasha growls when he saw his brother. “Sesshomaru, what are you doing here?!!” He demands.
However, as usual the Great Dog Demon was ignoring his brother's ranting.
His attention was focus on the Ravenclaw girl but the Slytherin doesn't like how he looks at his girlfriend.
“Naraku was after Y/n.. And you know how dangerous and risky it is so I wanted to take her with me just to make sure she's safe” Sesshomaru says making the whole group surrounded Y/n with their weapons “You can't take her away from me!” Severus says while holding Y/n’s Hand “You can do nothing, you filthy mortal!!!” He spat.
The Ravenclaw Priestess has enough for one day. The argument is getting out of hand. “Stop!!!” she says as they all stop arguing. “Guys, I had enough dealing a lot of craziness for one day. So please can I have a break?” she says. The 70s modern era Priestess then walks away from them as she was on her way to the well.
The Slytherin teen then runs after his girlfriend. Kagome then figure out something. Y/n seems to be stuck in some kind of love quartet even though she's already taken.
The Half-Demon growls a his brother “Stop your craziness and stay away from her” He said.
But the Demon Lord doesn't care at all and he will get Y/n no matter what may happens.
With Y/n and Severus....
They jump in the well. Returning to Hogwarts however Severus decided to allow the Ravenclaw girl to stay with him in his dormitory.
The Slytherin teen then took her to the Dungeons as they enter the Slytherin common room after that they made their way towards his dorm. Where they spent the rest of the night.
The next morning....
They were both in the Great Hall. Lily was watching both of them as she was paying little attention to what her boyfriend's saying. Severus was comforting Y/n because of what happened with Sesshomaru and Naraku.
The Slytherin teen felt familiar eyes on him and his girlfriend but he just ignore it.
After eating breakfast while on their way towards their classes. The two saw Inuyasha, Kagome, and surprisingly Sesshomaru in the Hallway.
The Ravenclaw Priestess then sighs in annoyance. Severus sighs. “Inuyasha, Kagome. Not now she's still not alright because of what happened yesterday.” he tells his friends.
The reincarnation of Kikyo sighs. “Sorry, Sev, but Inuyasha wants you guys to come back. But I kept telling him that you guys can come back once Y/n’s mood get better.” she says.
Before Inuyasha could say anything he was interrupted when his brother punch by his canine's. He drop to the floor holding his mouth. “You bastard..... That hurts....” The Half-Demon says while wincing in pain. Sesshomaru just ignores his brother.
Severus sigh “I wish we could but as you see Y/n was still not in the mood to go back.. She needs some time to process everything” He said before turning his attention on Sesshomaru “And you.. I wanted you to stay from my beloved or else-” The Slytherin teen's words were Interrupted by the Great Dog Demon “Or what?? You think you can stand against me? *Scoff* don't make me laugh, you lowlife mortal.” He said making the Ravenclaw girl snap at him and use her wand “Stupefy!” Y/n send Sesshomaru flying making the group look at her in shock “I already told you not to disrespect my man!!” She said when a familiar voice calls their Attention “Miss L/n! What's happening in here!” Professor McGonagall calls out.
Kagome sighs “I told you two that we can't go here. Y/n’s not in the mood to go back to the Feudal Era. To the point we cause her trouble.” she says scolding Inuyasha.
Y/n’s face pale when McGonagall approaches them. ‘Dang it. I'll get detention for this but Sesshomaru should know better not to insult Severus in front of me.’ she thought.
Severus then sighs before he made his towards the unconscious Demon Lord when he was hit with the Stunning Curse.
Professor McGonagall puts Y/n in detention with Professor Slughorn which she didn't mind at all “Now all of you take that person to the Hospital wing so he can treated” She said before taking her leave.
And his girlfriend has detention with Slughorn after classes.
The Slytherin teen held Y/n's hand and kiss her forehead “Everything will be fine My Love *smile*” His smiles warms the Priestess's heart “I know.. as long as you're with me and our friends, i know that everything will be fine” she replies.
Severus then glares at Sesshomaru. They wouldn't be in this situation if he hadn't followed his friends.
As the night has come Y/n spent her time on detention with Slughorn and making some sort of Healing Potion.
She never really regret hexing the Demon Lord but he deserves it for insulting her boyfriend. She wouldn't admit that to anyone.
After her detention the other Priestess make her way to her boyfriend's dormitory and before she can get there a voice suddenly calls her. “Y/n... The daughter of Y/m/n come with me my child” Y/n's Eyes got widen it was Voldemort.
“You’re... The Dark Lord....” The Ravenclaw Priestess says before narrowing her eyes at the man in front her.
“Come with me.. don't waste your talent in this place” He says.. The Priestess can't believe what has just happening.. First Sesshomaru, second Naraku and now even the Dark lord himself wants her?!!! She step back only for the Dark Lord to step forward “Y/n my dear.. Come with me and join my alliance” He said.
“Come with my child.....” He says to her again. However, the Priestess just shook her head. She knew her boyfriend originally intends to join the Death Eaters however that change when they both ended up in the Feudal Era.
“No, I'm not coming along with you.” The Ravenclaw girl says as she had no intention in joining him.
Before Y/n could say anything she hears a familiar voice. “Y/n, there you are!” She turns around to see Inuyasha.
He then approaches his friend. The Half-Demon then diverted his attention towards Voldemort before he snarl taking out Tessaiga from it's scabbard. “Who are you and what do you with my friend?” he demands.
Voldemort smiles at him and said “A Dog Demon.. What a pleasant surprise” He said before Entering on Inuyasha's Mind and see his past with Kikyo “Ohh I see that you're holding a deep passion with a certain Mortal named Kikyo” The Half-Demon’s eyes got widen. “Don't speak her name!” He says before attacking the Dark Lord “Avada Kedavra” Voldemort said and just in time Y/n pushes Inuyasha out of the way only for her to hit by the Killing curse.
In the commotion Sesshomaru heard what's happening.
Severus runs to his beloved and knelt besides her “Y-Y/n? Love?” He ask but no response.
Seeing Y/n’s lifeless eyes made the Demon Lord’s eyes turn red. However, the Tensaiga on his waist pulse. Sesshomaru push Severus out of the way and use his Tensaiga on Y/n. He then took out the sword as it then glow. The Demon Lord could see the minions of the underworld were about to take her soul. He then immediately slay them.
As a bright light surrounded the Ravenclaw girl.
As Severus was crying Y/n's eyes suddenly opens only for her to see the Demon Lord's worried gaze.
The 70s Modern era Priestess just looks at him in confusion before turning to look at her boyfriend before she gently place a hand on his shoulder.
That startles the Slytherin teen when he Y/n or what he thought to be her. Is he dreaming? The Ravenclaw girl then gives him a hug. Severus sighs in relief she came back. Sesshomaru must've used the Tensaiga to revive her. The Great Dog Demon then frowns that she doesn't pay him any attention.
Y/N Stood slowly up and approach to Sesshomaru “I know it was you.. Thank you” She said before give the Demon Lord a Hug.
Sesshomaru was stunned he did receive hug from Rin but coming from the other Priestess it was very surprising.
The Demon Lord was so stunned and slowly hug her back.. Severus on the hand was happy but kinda jealous at the same time because feels useless for not being able to save his beloved like Sesshomaru did.
The Half-Demon then growl when he saw his brother hugging his friend. “Hey, keep your hands off her!” he snarls out.
Voldemort on the other hand grips his wand he unintentionally killed Y/m/n’s daughter. However, he was impressed of the other Demon managing to revive her with a stroke of his sword.
He then chuckles getting the group’s attention before the Demon Lord tighten his grip on the Priestess.
The Ravenclaw girl then narrows at the man in front of them. “What do you want from me?” she demands.
“My, how surprising to see someone who can bring the dead back.” He says.
Kagome then glares at him. “Yeah, what do you want with Y/n?” she asks.
The rest of the group glare at the Dark Lord in front of them.
“Hmmm as you see Y/n was a daughter of a great witch named Y/n/n L/n and I wanted her to join my alliance and become a death eater” He said casually.
“No! I would never ever join your silly troupe!” Y/n shouted making the Dark Lord smile at her. “Someday you will.. and there's nothing you can do about it” He said before disappearing.
The Ravenclaw girl then narrows her eyes when he mentioned her mother. Her mother was a great witch but she was also a Priestess.
Kagome then approaches her friend. “Y/n, are you okay?” she asks as the other Priestess sigh. “Yeah, I'm fine.” she says before diverting her attention towards the Demon Lord who still has his arm around her. “You can let me go now, Sesshomaru.” she says to him.
The Great Dog Demon frowns but nonetheless let's her go.
After that Severus's arms suddenly wraps around his girlfriend in a protective way “You need some rest now” He said making Y/n smile at his kindness “Alright. Can I sleep in your room?” She ask and her boyfriend agreed “We have to go now.. Y/n needs her rest.” The two say their farewells to their friends and leave.
They then return to the Dungeons all the way to the Slytherin common all the way to his dorm. They spent the rest of the night cuddling.
The next morning.....
After they took a bath and brush their teeth. The couple then made their towards the Great Hall. Only to find their friends and Sesshomaru in the Ravenclaw table. “Why are you guys still here?” The Ravenclaw Priestess asks the three quietly. Kagome scratches the back of her neck. “Well, your headmaster sort of found out what happened last night so offered us to stay in the Ravenclaw dormitories.” she explains.
The two looks at them confused. “He let you stay in Ravenclaw Tower?” Severus asks in disbelief.
Inuyasha nods. “Yeah, and also there's something he wants to talk to us after breakfast.” he says while munching on his pancake.
Sesshomaru was just listening while eating his pancake.
The Priestess looks confused is it about the Dark Lord wanting to recruit because her mother was a great witch and of course was also a Priestess.
She knew she has an ancestor who was Japanese. So it would make her a Japanese descend.
After breakfast Y/n and Severus Went straight to their classes while their friends went to the Headmaster's Chamber.
When Inuyasha, Kagome, and Sesshomaru made it to the Headmaster office they were then met with McGonagall. The one who caught the Ravenclaw girl after she hexed the Great Dog Demon for insulting her boyfriend.
“What a pleasant surprise to see all of you again..” She smiles warmly. “Have a seat.” Dumbledore offer and after the three of them went to their seat Dumbledore started to ask them a couple of questions.
“So Tom wants to recruit her?” Dumbledore asks. The three looks confused. “Tom?” Inuyasha asks. “That was the Dark Lord's true name but he hates it.” The Headmaster explains.
Kagome then nods her head in confirmation. “Yeah, he try to recruit her when she was alone after she left her detention.” She starts. “He also found out about Kikyo to the point I attack him but I made mistake he nearly killed me but Y/n jump in the way and got hit by the spell when it was supposed to hit me.” Inuyasha finish.
That made Sesshomaru angry on what he just heard from his brother. “That wouldn't happen if you didn't foolishly attack him, Half-breed!” he spat to his brother.
The Half-Demon then glares at his brother. “Take that back, Sesshomaru.” he says as they both glare at each other.
The reincarnated Priestess sighs. There they go again.
“Well it's a great thing that she's okay now.. And that's thanks to you young man..” The Headmaster points out on Sesshomaru “No need for that.. She's important to me too after all” He says “Do you really think that she actually cares for you that way?” Inuyasha provokes his brother “Not for now..but someday she will” The Demon Lord respond.
Kagome then remembers something. “About what he said about Y/n’s mother being a Great witch. Is she also Priestess like me and Y/n?” she asks. That seem to caught the two Dog Demons’ attention.
The Headmaster then clears his throat. “Well, as a matter of fact yes, Ms. Higurashi. You see she and her mother has an ancestor who was a Japanese. Making Ms. L/n a Japanese descend.” he reveals as that surprised the three.
“And what is it something to do with Tom going after her?” Inuyasha asks not getting where does this lead to.
Dumbledore then clears his throat once again. “You see when the Dark Lord is known as Originally by the name of Tom Riddle. During his time here at Hogwarts he uses his charm to manipulate those around to get what he wants. Particularly he was in love with her mother that is until she met and fell in love with her father. Her mother was in Ravenclaw like she was.” he reveals.
The three were in shock. That the Dark Lord was originally in love with Y/n’s mother. Sesshomaru was more surprise than Inuyasha and Kagome.
“He’s really a creep for trying to go after Y/n.” The reincarnation of Kikyo points out.
Dumbledore smile lightly “That's what a love can do anyway..”He said “Do you think the Dark Lord only wants Y/n because she was looked like her mother?” Kagome ask “Well maybe that's the case for him to want her.” The Headmaster says.
“How unpredictable!!” The reincarnated Priestess exclaimed “that's why I called the three of you in here” Dumbledore admitted “I wanted the three if you to take Y/n with you so that she can be safe from the Dark lord” He says. “Maybe she has a relative from the Feudal Era and then maybe 100 years or so Y/n has another relative who came to this country. Which explain why she looks a bit like a Japanese.” Inuyasha points out.
“A relative who's a native Japanese?” The reincarnation of Kikyo asks before the Half-Demon then nods. “Yeah, which would explain she was a Japanese descend.” he points out.
“Actually she has a relative she can live with” Dumbledore says.“She has?” Inuyasha asks.
“They Lived on Akita Japan” Dumbledore Added “That's It!” the Half-Demon says happily “We can take her there.” The reincarnated Priestess added.
“But are they aware of their relation?” Kagome asks.
Sesshomaru on the other hand Interrupts the conversation “Do you think that she'll let you to take her away?” He asks. “No, will never let any of you take her especially from that mortal she was with” He added “Then what can you suggest??” The Headmaster then asks.
Just before he could speak his brother interrupts him. “Oh no way, Sesshomaru. She can't go back to Feudal Japan she's not safe there either. Because Naraku was also after her.” he snarls.
The Demon Lord then glares at him. “Stay out of this, Half-Breed!” he says coldly.
Inuyasha was about to attack his brother when Kagome ordered him to sit “What are we supposed to do?” She ask the Headmaster “If she doesn't want to leave then we had need an alternative Solution” Dumbledore says.
The Half-Demon then stood from his spot. “You do have a point she wouldn't want to leave but it's not for in the Feudal Era either. And Naraku is after her not to mention Sesshomaru here.” he says as he looks at Sesshomaru on the last part.
The Great Dog Demon glares at his brother for him also being after Y/n but that's only because he was concern for her safety like Severus was.
“Maybe we can take her with us” The Demon Lord says “No! You know that Naraku was after her too!” Kagome said “I'm not leaving her side.. I'll be protecting her” Sesshomaru says making Dumbledore and McGonagall smile at him “Then it's settled then.. Y/n’s safety was into your hands” Dumbledore says along with a satisfactory huff “I had one request” Sesshomaru says “Yes?” The Headmaster responds. “I don't want that filthy mortal to come with us” The Half-Demon and the reincarnation of Kikyo were shock about the Demon Lord's statement.
Kagome then remembers how Y/n hexed Sesshomaru yesterday. “Do you want her to hex you again?” she ask in disbelief.
“*scoff* I was just caught off guard at that time.. And it will never happen again” He adds but Inuyasha was angry at him “You can never separate Severus from y/n!” He shouts at his brother “Well i can.. I had my ways so that she can forget that merely mortal” Sesshomaru responds.
Before the two could reply there was a knock on the door.
McGonagall open the door to reveal the Ravenclaw girl and Slytherin teen.
She then looks Inuyasha, Kagome, and Sesshomaru. “Ummm.... What's going on here?” she asks as she and Severus enter before the Head of Gryffindor close the door.
Kagome then scratches the back of her neck nervously. “Nothing, Y/n.” she says. The other Priestess raises an eyebrow towards her.
Y/n approach them and sit st the nearest chair along with her boyfriend Severus “Kagome.. You know that you can't lie to me.. So tell what is it” she says while holding Severus's cold Hand on hers.
“We-Well, ummm.....Y/n.....ummmm” Kagome was stuttering and can't form a right words to explain to their friend.
Inuyasha sighs. “We managed to figure out why the Dark Lord is after you. You see back when he was Tom Riddle. He was originally in love with your mother before she met and fell in love with your dad.” He explains as the Ravenclaw girl and the Slytherin teen looks at their friend in shock.
“He’s originally..... In love... With my mother?” Y/n questions not believing what she's hearing.
"Yes" Inuyasha says. Severus then holds her hand trying to calm her down.
"And obviously that person sees you as your mother and that's the reason why he wants you so bad like Naraku did” The Half-Demon adds.
“Also about your Priestess powers. You have a relative who was a Japanese who came to live here on Britain centuries after Feudal Era which would explain why you look a bit like a Japanese.” Kagome then adds.
“My guesses were if I have a relative who's completely Japanese and I was right.” Y/n says.
"Yes" her friend says. The Slytherin was comforting the Ravenclaw girl. “You’re not safe here.” Kagome points out.
The Half-Demon nods in agreement. “Yeah, with this Tom Riddle and of course Naraku after you.” he says. The Ravenclaw Priestess then sighs. “Why did this happen for the past two days?” she questions to herself.
“My love, don't worry I'm here” Severus says giving his girlfriend a comforting smile “As if you can protect her” Sesshomaru says and The Slytherin turn his attention on him “Yes I can” He says “Oh Really? Not obvious actually” The Demon Lord coldy says “At least she believes and loved me” Severus sarcastically says making Sesshomaru glare at him fiercely.
The other Priestess then took out her wand pointing it at the Demon Lord “Flipendo!” she says as that hits the Great Dog Demon as he was thrown against the wall.
The Ravenclaw girl just glares at the Sesshomaru. “I told you not to insult my boyfriend in front of me.” she says as she had enough of him doing that.
McGonagall then realizes the reason why she hex the Dog Demon was him looking down on Mr. Snape.
The Great Dog Demon groan in pain as he stood up “Ms. L/n, I never expected you to be so feisty when it comes to Mr. Snape” McGonagall said making Y/n and Severus blush in embarrassment.
Inuyasha tries not to laugh at his brother after he was hexed by his friend. Kagome on the other hand sweatdrop.
The Great Dog Demon then glares at his brother. “It’s not funny, Inuyasha.” he says coldly. Half-Demon tries his best not to laugh so hard.
“Really??” Inuyasha provokes along with a breathy Laugh “Sit Boy” Inuyasha fell on the ground “Why did you do that?!” He ask Kagome.
The Priestess just narrows her eyes at him. “Rather not have him kill you if you continue to provoke him.” she says.
The Ravenclaw girl then turns to look at Sesshomaru but she just narrows her eyes at him when he looks at her.
She never completely likes Sesshomaru because he hates humans and Half-Demons in general but that change after he met Rin who travels around with him and Jaken. Of course, another human he enjoys being around was technically her but he hates her boyfriend. If he keeps insulting him she'll keep hexing him for that.
The Demon Lord on the other hand couldn't believe it. This is the second time she hex him for insulting her boyfriend in front her. The girl often narrows her eyes at him when she caught him staring at her. However, he wouldn't forget how she felt in his embrace. She smell of berries, books, and of course sweets of this era.
But knowing her she hated him for insulting her boyfriend and of course his attempts to kill Inuyasha to get the Tessaiga.
The Ravenclaw then remembers something. “Wait a moment I remember something.” She then says as she stood up from the chair. The Slytherin teen then looks at his girlfriend. “What is it, love?” he asks.
Y/n then made her way towards the door Severus, along with Kagome, Inuyasha, and Sesshomaru follow her.
Before leaving the Headmaster's office she bows to both of her Professors before she then opens the door with her friends and boyfriend following behind her. Sesshomaru close the door behind them.

Youkai Academy ~Chapter 2~
The school halls were abuzz with whispers and hushed tones, the students seeming to delight in openly gossiping about the two, and only, transfer students. Most rumors came with a snide or prudish remark about their social class and the possible implications that "commoners would soon overcome the school." Kagome rolled her eyes and paid the comment no mind; after all, she had heard far worse as a miko that had traveled in a skirt during the Edu period- now that was something to be embarrassed about. These children knew nothing of war or the dangers of prejudice by ignorant people; if anything, that is what they encompassed with their wealth. They knew nothing of the world beyond their pampered lives.
Kagome sighed; she doubted the youkai here would even know what to do if she exposed herself as a miko; they'd either panic, run, or fight, though she had only felt a handful of youkai on campus that would pose a challenge. No wonder the Dean of Students had been curious of what her presence may bring.
Looking towards the library, Kagome spotted what at first appearance seemed to be a boy; they were dressed in worn formal pants and shoes along with a weathered sweater. But having already met the other scholarship student, Kagome knew it to be Haruhi. Something must have happened to the girl since the last time they met for her appearance to change so drastically in such a short period of time.
With a warm smile, she approached the frazzled girl. Her short brown hair was mused and messy, with her bangs and shabby haircut falling into her gentle face."Hi Fujioka-san, everything alright?"
The young teen jumped, doe-eyes framed by thick frames, quickly meeting her own. She looked confused for a second, and then, as if having an 'ah-ha' moment, her eyes widened. "Oh Higurashi-san," she bowed lightly in greeting, a cool composer falling over her face with a gentle smile. "I'm just trying to find a quiet place to study."
Her shoulders fell. "Is this one crowded too?" Kagome asked dejectedly. Kagome had already gone to all the libraries on campus and had found each bursting with students that didn't understand the concept of using their "inside voices."
Haruhi nodded in defeat. "Stupid rich kids," she muttered, and Kagome laughed.
Gesturing with her own books toward the quieter halls up ahead. "Want to join me in my search for a quiet place to study?"
The girl nodded with a soft, please.
Kagome chuckled lightly. "What happened to your hair Fujioka-san?"
The girl looked at her owlishly before examining a long bit of her bangs. "Some kid in my neighborhood put gum in my hair."
Kagome briefly grimaced, recalling when her brother had gotten some stuck in her hair. It had been quite a traumatic process getting it out. "I think it suits you," she offered with a smile.
Haruhi beamed, her gentle beauty dazzling even Kagome as she smiled, and heat colored her pale cheeks. "Thank you, Higurashi-san," she paused. "Higurashi-san?"
"Please feel free to call me Kagome."
The teen nodded with a pleased smile. "Kagome, why are you wearing the boy's uniform, if you don't mind me asking."
"Have you seen the girl's uniforms?" She teased, and both girls laughed, both agreeing that the uniforms were loathsome compared to the male uniform and their own previous uniforms they'd had to wear. But Kagome was still surprised that Haruhi had only asked so as not to misgender her, which Kagome found very thoughtful of the other teen.
They continued to talk softly, going over most of the topics they had gone over in class as they turned down a quiet hallway. And then Haruhi noticed a quiet room. Despite the sign saying the room ahead was a music room, unlike any of the libraries, there wasn't a sound to be heard. And although it seemed like the perfect place to study, the aura of six youkai behind the large white doors informed her that this room was very much taken.
"Kagome-chan, let's check out this room. It's so quiet on this side of the building," the teen smiled, grabbing Kagome's hand before she could protest and opened the large double doors.
For the briefest of moments, there was a flash of light, and the soft tinkle of piano filled the once-silent room.
Their youki expanded, rushing forth to surround her, poking and prodding at her concealed aura, searching for any crack in her defenses. The action had her heart racing and breath hitching in her throat, pulling the scent of magic and roses into her lungs. Her reiryoku surged under her skin, wanting to fight back against the sudden and rude youki that prodded about her person. Still, she held back, unsure that she would be safe despite the Chairman's reassurance.
Across from the two women, both dressed as the opposite gender, sat six posed male students. If Kagome didn't know any better, she would have thought they had been waiting in that pose, it sounded ridiculous, yet they looked just as absurd. Five members lounged across one another while surrounding the person sitting within an ornate golden chair with luxurious red cushions: it looked like a throne.
Each male exuded an air of power, backed not only by the wealth that encompassed their lives but in their youki, blanketing the room in warm, almost inviting curls. For a moment, Kagome almost found herself blushing. The warmth and almost intimate way their youki reached out and caressed her made her both embarrassed and irritated, that they had no shame in how they prodded at her concealed aura.
Of the six young youkai, two of them screamed danger. A stoic man, whose lean physique loomed over the group, looked rather stand-offish with a bored expression and somewhat understated masculine presence. But his silver eyes were piercing, matching the underlying tension within his posture; he was ready to fight at a second's notice. Yet, he didn't look as intimating despite the feeling of protectiveness that he exuded, which mostly had to do with the small blonde hanging from his shoulders.
The small blonde was smiling, looking as carefree as a child, even looking like a young pre-teen with large golden-brown eyes and bushy blonde hair. He looked as threatening as a kitten, but Kagome felt as if she were about to face off to the death against one of Sesshomaru's generals. The power that came off him was terrifying, but his aura was rather pleasant and inviting.
Those two had to be the most powerful, but at the moment weren't the ones prying at her masked aura.
No, that one was the one that reminded her of a serpent. He was lean and posed, with a mature air about him, but from the rude prodding of his aura, Kagome could already tell that he didn't care about people's boundaries and coveted information. If she didn't know better, she would wager that the glasses-wearing male was a dragon, mainly because he seemed to be a man of pride and greed, something that most (at least the ones she'd met) dragons almost always possessed.
Then there were the kitsunes. Of course, that was merely an instinctual guess, but they felt so much like her Shippo that Kagome could easily picture the mischievous-looking duo with a foxtail, or two, swishing behind them. They looked to be twins, but their auras were different. One was calmer and light, while the other seemed to shutter and darken anxiously.
Finally was the blue-eyed blonde sitting in the thrown. He beamed happily, his aura shining brightly in welcome and curling around the room as if to hug and coddle everyone in the room. He smiled with a gentle kindness that only made him look more handsome and exotic looking. But Kagome was immediately surprised to feel he wasn't a full-blooded youkai; he wasn't half, but he wasn't full either. He was something else: somewhere in between.
"Welcome!" they greeted in unison before the blonde quickly spoke, grinning at their puzzled faces. "Only those with excellent social standing and those from filthy rich families are lucky enough to spend their time here at the elite private school, Ouran Academy. The Ouran Host Club is where the school's most handsome boys, with too much time on their hands, entertain young ladies who also have way too much time on their hands. Just think of it as Ouran Academy's elegant playground for the super-rich and beautiful."
Kagome looked at them, dumbfounded. What a stupid club!?
"A host club?" Haruhi questioned dumbly, no doubt just as bewildered by the club as Kagome.
The orange-haired duo then piped up in unison, both looking somewhat surprised. "Oh, wow, it's a boy!"
"Men are valuable patrons too, so stifle it," the blonde corrected.
The dark-haired one with glasses looked them over with a calculated glace before addressing the twins mirthfully. "Hikaru, Kaoru, I believe these young men are in the same class as you, correct?"
"Well, yeah, but they're both rather shy. They haven't acted very sociably, so we don't know much about them." The twins answered boredly as if they could care less about the two of them.
"Hm. Well, that wasn't very polite." He smirked. The look gave Kagome the chills. He looked as if he had just learned something important in that small interaction. That boy definitely rubbed her the wrong way.
"Welcome to the Ouran Host Club, Mr. Haruhi Fujioka and Mr. Kagome Higurashi," The blonde exclaimed excitedly. "You're the two exceptional honor students we've heard about."
"How did you know my name?" Haruhi asked, shocked and noticeably uncomfortable.
"Why, you're both infamous. It's not every day that a commoner gains entrance into our academy. Both of you must have an audacious nerve to work hard enough to fight your way into this school as an honor student."
"Well, uh, thank you, I guess," Haruhi grumbled irritably while Kagome openly sneered at the group of rude demons.
Kagome growled lowly. "No need for such back-handed comments."
The blonde continued with an ignorant air as if he hadn't been listening as he approached the struggling brunette beside her. "You're welcome. You're true heroes to other poor people. You've shown the world that even a poor person can excel at an elite private academy. It must be hard for you to constantly be looked down upon by others."
"I said that your back-handed comments weren't appreciated," Kagome snapped, stepping between the blonde and Haruhi. "You're taking this "poor" thing too far."
He continued, again, ignoring Kagome. "Spurned. Neglected. But that doesn't matter now. Long live the poor! We welcome you, poor men, to our world of beauty."
"I'm outta here." Haruhi glowered, and Kagome nodded. These pompous rich kids were unnecessarily rude, their attitudes making Kagome wonder if their treatment of her and Haruhi was based on their social class or their species. Either way, the males' treatment of them was uncalled for.
The short blonde then came bouncing over, taking Haruhi by the hand, stopping them from what would have been their freedom. "Hey! Come back here, Haru-chan! You must be like a superhero or something. That's so cool!"
Trying her best to shake off the male, irritation entered her tired voice. "I'm not a hero. I'm an honor student. And who are you calling "Haru-chan"!?" She finished with a scream.
"I never would've imagined that the famous scholars would be so openly gay. Are you two dating?" The tall blonde asked cheekily while slipping an arm around Haruhi's shoulders
"Openly, what?!" Haruhi and Kagome cried in unison, red tinting both of their faces.
The blonde looped his other arm around Kagome's shoulders. "So tell me what kind of guys you're into. Do you like the strong, silent type?-" He motioned over to the tall and muscular dark-haired male. He gave the two a slow nod of his head, silver eyes gentle and even empathic.
"-The boy Lolita?-" the blonde continued, pointing them to the shorter blonde with his warm honey eyes. He was adorable, even a little charming, but he screamed danger to Kagome.
"-How about the mischievous type-" He pointed them toward the twins. They smiled mischievously, violet streaking across their gold eyes. Kagome found them rather enduring, no doubt because she was partial to kitsunes in nature.
"-or the cool type?" This was when Kagome came face to face with the glasses-wearing serpent boy. She glared at him defiantly. This guy screamed jerk. They all did. He just seemed to be the most arrogant of the bunch.
Haruhi stuttered uncomfortably. "Uh... I, uh... It's not like that. I- we- were just looking for a quiet place to study."
The blonde turned Haruhi- Kagome really wished they had more manners. Didn't they know it was also rude to call someone by their name without offering them their name! The blonde intimately pulled the petite girl close, allowing Kagome to slip from his grasp. "Or maybe... You're into a guy like me. What do you say?"
"Uh!" She screamed, leaping from his arms.
It was as if the next scene were playing out in slow motion. Jumping away from the blonde, Haruhi fell back into one of the large vases in the room. Realizing this, she spun around, Kagome even dropping to help her, both reaching for the large ornate vase, and still, it slipped away from them. Clattering to the ground in a loud shattering of glass, the girls slumped in defeat. They looked at each other, fear entering their eyes.
The twins, Hikaru and Kaoru (the only ones whose names she's learned so far) crowded them with an audible "Aww!"
"We were going to feature that Renaissance vase in an upcoming school auction." Hikaru tsked disappointedly.
Kaoru nodded. "Oh, now you've done it, commoner. The bidding on that vase was supposed to start at ¥8,000,000!"
"What? ¥8,000,000!? How many thousand yen is that? How many thousands are in a million?"
Kagome fell to the ground, defeated. How had it ended up like this? All they wanted to do was find a quiet place to study.
"We're going to have to pay you back, aren't we?" Kagome sighed.
Panicked, Haruhi turned to her. "No, Kagome, I couldn't ask that of you. It was my fault it broke."
Kagome shook her head and smiled gently. "How could I leave you to the wolves?" Then she stood glaring heatedly at the dumb blonde. "If there is anyone to blame, it's that handsy pervert over there."
The group continued as if they hadn't heard her, irritating Kagome to no end.
"Well, what do you think we should do, Tamaki?" So that's what the blonde's name was; now she knew what to call the handsy pervert.
"You may have heard a famous saying, Mr. Fujioka, "When in Rome, you should do as the Romans do." Since you have no money, you can pay with your body. That means you two will be the Host Club's dogs starting today."
Kagome growled audibly; she really didn't like this club one bit.
'What the hell have I gotten myself into now?'

I've said it before but I'll say it again. I am an absolute noob on Ao3.
--only ever read fics and maybe bookmarked a few on there when I realized refinding stuff I read on there was near impossible...
I only just made an account what feels like months ago but was actually last october! >_>
Anyway since before making an account, for years, anytime I tried to figure out how I could find the type of InuYasha crossover fics I was looking for I'd get no result.
Same for certain ships.
I was led to believe that Ao3 was the new go to for just about any variation of a fandom you could maybe want. I'd feel somewhat cheated if the plethora of Spideypool fluff hadn't been there to sooth me. <3
Anywho, after awhile and seeing some meme posts it occurred to me that I could start it! I could make the thing I want come to exist on the site(s) and if I'm lucky others who like the same thing will share their stuff they made and we'd all have more stuff to look at!!
While I've been sharing my sporadic InuZore ship and even a bit InuYasha and Rosario + Vampire crossover stuffs, I'm trying to get them all posted in this thing I made on Ao3! Cuz apparently you don't have to write fanfiction to post stuff! Huzzah!
That way they can all be seen AND IT MAKES IT EASIER FOR MY SHIP TO BE SEEN!!!!
I intend to do the same later for some of my other favored crossovers and ships. Wish me luck!

In response to @alphawolfylva47 's tag, imma just...put this here lol
(Also this was from like a month or so ago)
Genshin Impact x INUYASHA X-over Zhongli's POV
Zhongli first sees her when Osial begins his attack on Liyue Harbor.
She's ushering a group of children into the Ministry of Civil Affairs building, yelling out orders to the other civilians. The Millelith nearby seem quite confused by her presence, each of them sharing glances amongst each other. He retreats further under the veranda while he continues to watch, intrigued by how the soldiers begin to defer to her orders. It's clear this isn't the first disaster she's been in nor does she have any problem taking lead.
Her stance holds true with each surge of water from the sea, never once faltering even as people rush past her.
Their eyes meet across the way, striking cerulean piercing straight through him like a freshly sharpened spear. She has a ferocity that hides in the furrow of her brow, the uptick of her chin, that speaks of a readiness to become as lethal as need be at a moment's notice. He dips his head in acknowledgement, gaze never straying from hers and feels a thrill go through him when hers falls straight to where his gnosis is hidden. It's instinctual, the way he knows that is what she is looking at.
And yet...
She turns away from him, the brief moment they shared there and gone, the momentum of her orders never having slowed once.
By the time the battle has ended and his appointment to the Northland bank draws near, he has lost sight of her.
When Lumine steps into the lobby, it occurs to Zhongli that what caught his attention was the same yet different sense of 'other' that came off the unknown woman.
Interesting.
.
.
.
.
I kind of imagine with this piece the inner thoughts of what each character would think when they first see her or how others react to her.

Far From Home
Summary: Kagome is never too far from trouble, it seems. After moving to America to start over, she ends up in Hawkins just as strange things start to happen. Fandom: Inuyasha x Stranger Things (Ch 4) Crossover
Also available on FF.Net and AO3
Chapter 01
Hawkins High School, despite all the events that happened not a year before, was as normal as any other school. There were the typical popular kids, the bookworms, the nerds, the athletes, the extroverts, and the introverts. And there was Kagome Higurashi.
Kagome Higurashi moved from Tokyo to Hawkins right before the start of the school year. A long list of fake diseases and a missed year - congratulations to her grandpa and her adventures fighting an evil half-youkai 500 years in the past - turned into a shadow on her history. Because of that, finding a decent high school was hard; and graduating from it was even worse. The once somewhat popular student became an outcast, haunted by her ghosts of the past and present.
Mama Higurashi watched her once bright child becoming a pariah, apart from everything and everyone. It hurt more than watching her face the unknown. Back then, Kagome had dreams of love and the support of powerful friends. Now, she had nothing but a loving family that couldn't completely understand what she went through. Once Kagome turned 18, Mama Higurashi had made up her mind and came with an unexpected offer.
“Why don’t you start anew somewhere else? Far from everything and everyone you know.”
Kagome was quick to jump. The idea had been living on her mind for some time, but she never gave it too much attention. It wasn't fair for her family if she just left. But Mama gave her arguments and after a night of hugs and tears, they designed a plan.
Kagome dropped out the school and spent the following months getting a better hang of English and working around getting her papers. She called several rental agencies in different areas until she found an affordable place in a small city called Hawkins.
There wasn’t much about Hawkins available in Japanese newspapers or books. The most recent piece of information was the closing of a national lab due to a chemical spill that caused the death of a teenager - which Kagome assumed was the reason for the below-average renting and living costs. After some calls, she landed a place and enrolled in the local school for her senior year.
Upon arriving, she found out that a sequence of tragedies resulted in dozens of deaths in a short period - the latest happening just a month before. The gruesome stories would have made her mother rethink funding her stay there, therefore Kagome never mentioned it when phoning home.
For most, the morbidity surrounding the city's recent history would be enough of a reason to stay away from Hawkins but Kagome had seen entire villages being slaughtered, with the corpses used as puppets and meat shields. She beheaded countless demons, bathed on their insides - although not willingly, had been on the brink of death, and faced things that tormented her dreams for years to come.
Kagome Higurashi was a survivor. She promised her family and lost friends to live her best life, and she would.
Being somewhat older than most, a foreigner, and having joined the school in the senior year made it a few times harder to make friends. She found no use in joining any extracurricular activities when she would be leaving in less than a year. While not a complete castoff, Kagome spent most of her time alone, but she didn’t resent that. After everything, it was only a temporary nuisance.
Kagome stood by her locker, picking up what she would need for the day. After Jason’s speech earlier, which soured the mood of half of the students present while the other half got excited by his words, she sneaked out before anyone asked about her apathy. It wasn’t that she was indifferent to the tragedy, she just didn’t want to drown in the overwhelming feelings that always followed whenever these events were mentioned.
Her senses had been all over the place in the past few days, especially towards certain students. Many times Kagome prevented herself from approaching them. How could she ask if something was wrong when she barely knew their names? Chrissy was a cheerleader, dating the basketball captain, and never spared her a single glance; Patrick, she only knew the name because it was stamped on his uniform; the red-haired girl was in freshman year and always walked with a headphone on, barely acknowledging when someone approached her.
Kagome closed her eyes and sighed. If there was one thing she learned the hard way was that most people don't want others asking about their problems, much less when they were strangers. If an opportunity came, she would surely act on it; if not, Kagome would just accept and move on.
Distracted by her thoughts, the Japanese student gasped when two younger students appeared by her side.
“Hi! ” The first boy asked. He had a cute baby face, with round cheeks and curly brown hair. On his side was a tall slender boy, with dark hair and pale skin.
“Hi?” She raised an eyebrow. It wasn't common for freshmen to approach her - or anyone at all.
“I’m Mike. This is Dustin.” The other boy said. “We are looking for a sub to join our game tonight. Do you like role-playing?”
“What’s role-playing?” The term didn't ring any bells.
“It’s like a stage play. You create a character and must act according to it. You attack, cast spells, fight monsters-”
“With a dice!” Interjected Mike.
“Do you throw a dice at each other?”
“No! We roll the dice and our lives will depend on the result!”
“You are scaring her, Dustin.”
Kagome frowned. “Sounds… interesting, but-”
“You should totally join us today in the old theater club room after classes.”
“-I can’t compromise today.” The boys’ spirits deflated. “Maybe next time.”
Kagome’s heart ached for them, especially Dustin. Their disappointment was a punch in her chest. They reminded her so much of her baby brother Souta she wanted to hug them and pet their heads, telling them everything was alright.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I just don’t wanna let you down in case I can’t make it. You really should find someone else.”
Dustin rolled his eyes and huffed. “As if we haven’t been trying the whole day,” he murmured while walking away with Mike. The taller boy waved his thanks and they left.
Kagome sighed and scowled, wondering if she honestly had to refuse. There was the basketball final, but she was sure she wouldn’t be missed there. If the Tigers won, everyone would be too excited to notice her absence. If they lost, the others would be too distracted to realize she wasn't there. Kagome used to be one of those cheering in the stands back in middle school and she vividly recalled having seen Eri, Yuka and Ayumi rooting for their school when they crossed paths a couple of years before. She just didn't find any joy in doing it these days.
Loaded with guilt and a trace of curiosity Kagome walked down the empty halls, following the echoing voices. She had seen Mike and Dustin hanging with Eddie Munson, a fellow classmate and an interesting character, always causing an impression. At the very least, it would be a chance to meet new people.
Inside a room filled with candles and props, Munson sat on a throne, partially hidden behind a book. Dustin and Mike, three other seniors and a younger girl that would often be seen in the stands when the Tigers were playing surrounded a table filled with maps, figures, charts and a dozen cans here and there.
"Come in, Higurashi, don't be shy." She was caught. Kagome flushed under Eddie's tease, "It's not every day that we have a lady spying on us."
The others turned and Kagome graced them with a gritted smile.
"You came!" Said Dustin. He nudged Mike. "Wait, do you know her?" He asked, looking at Eddie.
"We have some classes together, right?" Kagome nodded. "I wouldn't expect you to be interested in Dungeons and Dragons, Miss Higurashi."
"I don't know what it is, but Dustin and Mike mentioned something about role-playing?" She tried. "But I guess I'm too late. Seems you've already started. I don't wanna interr-"
"What?! No, come here, join us." Eddie promptly asked - demanded - Gareth to move, vacating a space between him and Dustin. "The more the merrier."
Dustin went to Kagome and pulled her by the hand until she joined the pack. Eddie handed Gareth his character's sheet and soda cans, cleaning up the space for the newcomer. Kagome took the chance to look at a board set on the table. The small characters were positioned strategically close to a dungeon while a monster stood above the ground in a menacing stand.
"I will just be an observer this time, okay?" Before Dustin could interject, she added, "I don't have a clue about this and your game seems to be rather advanced for me to jump in. I would be merely a nuisance instead of helping. This way I can be more prepared next time." Kagome winked at Dustin, who shifted on his seat and nodded.
Grinning, Eddie named Kagome the official Dungeon Master Assistant for the day. He pulled her chair until she was beside his throne, overwhelmed with the notes and all the plans he had for the group. As they played, he explained some of the basic mechanics, such as the classes and the races using the players as examples.
Kagome understood enough to get anxious as they played. She pictured the group as their respective characters and got nervous at each roll of the dice. As an unbiased observer, she could see the effort Eddie put into making the campaign a pleasurable adventure, hard enough to create a challenge but not to the point of frustration.
The battle was fierce, with the warriors fearlessly facing each of Vecna’s minions. Every adversary left its marks, and the heroes got wounded and tired. The dice spared no compassion, equally provoking on them groans of dismay and cheers of glory. One by one, Gareth, Jeff and Mike fell, leaving only Dustin and Erica against the evil Lord of the Rotted Tower.
As the group reunited far from the prying ears of the Dungeon Master, Eddie explained to Kagome the current table setup and their options: flight or fight. Whatever they choose, the dice would decide their fate. They would need a certain number to safely leave the battleground and loads of luck to land a hit powerful enough to kill the final boss of the adventure.
Dustin and Erica chose to fight until their last health point. Vecna could erase their existence in a single strike unless one of them landed the perfect blow.
Dustin went first.
He made up a prayer with lots of curse words and kissed the dice. The odds were against him and Vecna was implacable when the attack failed. The last man - girl - standing was Erica.
Under the apprehensive stares of the Hellfire Club members, Erica grabbed the dice. Its twenty faces mocking each of them while Eddie squeezed his hands together and chewed his lower lip. Erica released the dice from her shaking hands. Every pair of eyes in the room followed the object as it rolled over the table. The success of the campaign depended on Lady Applejack's final action.
"CRITICAL!"
Kagome had only a vague idea of what was happening but their hollers and cheers said enough. The group of warriors celebrated the defeat of the evil boss. Eddie bowed, bearing his defeat and honouring the heroes. Kagome clapped, their euphoria washing over her. Even not having directly participated in the game, she shared their joy.
For the first time since she moved, the past and loneliness didn’t plague her thoughts. She lived the moment with these new friends and went to bed wearing a smile that night.
Until she woke up.
Drenched, she heaved as the pressure of malicious energy constricted her chest. Waves of fear and agony filled her mind with pleas for help. Her vision got blurry, and a migraine felt as if someone hammered inside her skull.
Kagome took short and uncertain steps until she got to the bathroom. She knelt by the toilet and vomited. Her bangs were glued to her forehead. Her muscles ached.
The last thing she remembered before passing out was the lights failing and a familiar name: Chrissy.
