'SOUTH WEST MESOTHELIOMA SUPPORT GROUP DONATES £10,000 TO MESOTHELIOMA UK'
We are very proud and pleased to have been able to donate an amazing £10,000 to Mesothelioma UK. We hope this goes some way towards expressing our appreciation for the appointment of our Mesothelioma Clinical Nurse Specialist for the South West Christine Jones.
On behalf of everyone in the group, sincere thanks to everyone who has had a hand in helping us achieve this, whether it be through fund raising events, the iPlymouth calendar, sponsorship or donations. We couldn't have done it without you!

‘WILLIAM SEARLE’
We were so very sorry to hear the extremely sad news that William passed away late on Thursday night after a very short and intense relapse.
He was diagnosed with mesothelioma in June 2010 at the age of 65 and told his life expectancy was only 9 months.
He was a founder member of the South West Mesothelioma Support Group which began in 2011. Other members of the group always had huge respect for William and the courageous way he chose to fight mesothelioma. Also the care he showed other sufferers encouraging them to stay positive and fight.
William previously reached out to other sufferers by saying;
'I am hoping to reach out to others and to simply give help, inspiration and hope. The message I want to give is; do not lose hope. Live in the time you have. Continue with your work, hobbies and live the time left to the best you can.'
As Managing Director of Cutlass Mechanical Engineering, he sponsored the iPlymouth Calendar in 2013 and 2014. Even after sponsorship moved to Wolferstans, he was responsible for selling a great number of calendars and raising thousands of pounds for the Support Group.
He will be missed very much. Sincere condolences to Ann and his family. Our thoughts are with you.
Rest in peace William. x
