Currently Watching:

I Told Sunset About You's documentary special episodes, I just have one to go! I'm usually OBSESSED with behind the scenes making-of stuff so I was shocked I hadn't yet taken the time to watch this; I'd only seen one of the IPYTM docs. Maybe I just needed a break from the show's emotional intensity? Anyhow, it's legitimately a good little docuseries, would def recommend if you've seen ITSAY but not the specials. You'll have to search around for the first four episodes but the remainder are on YouTube.

Next, I'm finally finishing up The Eighth Sense. I've been putting it off since I'm waiting to get new glasses so I can actually SEE it in all its beauty. I've also watched the first episode of Laws of Attraction and felt myself IMMEDIATELY getting obsessed so I had to back faaaaar away before I knock the other show out and put a pause on my Viki subscription lol. Can't be subscribed to too many services, I'm way too poor.

Currently Reading:

Tumblr, mostly Turtles' amazing reviews for her OGMMTVC. Again, waiting on glasses before I dive into the books next to my bed begging to be read. I may be able to watch TV without glasses but hell if I can get through a book without them!

Current Obsession:

BL/queer media, basically. What else?

Takeaways from the final episode of the docu:

Every damn body worked so damn hard and put their absolute everything into this whole story, and I for one am grateful.

Billkin becoming too emotional to continue reading out Teh's texts at the read-through was very touching.

When PP sort of teared up thanking Boss...I keep thinking of what it must be like for PP, being so unapologetically femme-y in this industry, especially knowing that things like the 'girly' scene in ep 2 have happened to him before, and to have somebody like Boss embrace his authentic self in multiple projects from I-Stories all the way to ITSAY/IPYTM...and to achieve this kind of success from that...this point is incoherent but I'm very emotional about this too.

Two years. They've been living with this story, with these characters, with this project for two years. What a ride!

coming back again to just remind everyone that all of your reactions and personal analyses of ipytm, or any media, are valid. our own experiences have shaped the way we respond to plot decisions and characterizations. your anger, your disappointment, because of the way you interpreted something even if the showrunners may not have intended to portray it like so, is justified. or if you're relieved, impressed; if you're not reduced to a puddle of woe—that's amazing, and I wish I could be too.

it always amazes me the range of discourse that could arise from a single episode of a show, or a single chapter in a book. whether episode 3 was a deal breaker or just another bump in the road, your emotions and criticisms are always, always valid.

I get emotionally compromised every time Tae/ Oh-Aew cries.

My favourite is that first GIF, cause of how sweet PP is as he says that Oh-aew although has changed on the outside he never stopped loving Teh. 

Love seeing the behind the scenes for intimate sex scenes, cause they are normally not so glamorous and have hoards of people just standing around watching, doing their job. Awkward.

I think this may have been my favourite episode of the docu. The takeaways:

PP was supposed to hit Billkin in the head with the bouquet. I understand why he didn't want to, but man that would have taken that scene into the stratosphere.

The whole post-production party scene was a reshoot, and this is the first time I'm not sure which version of the scene was better. Having the party in the workshop room provided an interesting scene and having it at the bar provided an equally interesting scene. I think the bar, being such a public forum, might have been the right choice, but I genuinely can't decide.

I'm glad Meen kept pushing for that last take of the breakup scene, because I think Oh Aew's utter exhaustion after a week of crying would yield that colder, less violent response. And I liked his point about Teh having to accept what Oh Aew is feeling and saying instead of whining.

God, acting. I keep saying this, but it's SUCH a weird profession, and Billkin and PP are REALLY bringing it. Their connection is something else, how they can bring each other up and down emotionally and how they care for and protect each other emotionally while working is amazing.

Edit: I'm also glad we got a look in at costuming, because as I have mentioned continually, the costuming in the show is clearly deliberate and really thought through, and does quite a bit of communication all on its own.
