The tension between me and my headcanon that Loki saw all the possible futures, just like Strange did, but back before the Chitauri invasion of New York when Thanos gave him the scepter and "convinced" him to lead the attack on Earth. He showed Loki all the possible outcomes, all the ones where Thanos won, to help bend Loki's will to his cause. But Loki also saw the one where a man is a red and gold metallic suit defeats the Mad Titan, where his captors lose, and where life goes on. So when he faces the Avengers on Earth and that man, the Iron Man - Tony Stark, is amongst them, Loki knows he must lose and must do everything in his power to help the Iron Man succeed.

"Anthony Stark, you are the most important being in the entirety of the universe, and the most egregious pain in my ass."

Kink — What's their secret kink?

Well, we're talking about Tony and Loki here. None of their kinks are exceptionally secret, if you catch my drift. They basically don't give a fuck who knows and who doesn't, and often even provoke a reaction from others.

But one of their more controversial kinks is, and you might actually have guessed it, knife and blood play. They both get turned on by the unspoken danger it poses to trust someone with your life in a knife play situation. I won't get into the details of how long it took Tony to get to that level of trust, but it took a while.

Anyway, as much as it's dangerous, it's also very healthy for them. Loki has always had a thing for knives and, particularly, stabbing people. He doesn't stab Tony (even though he could easily save him with magic, but he doesn't want to risk it, because he, and it is really hard for him to say it, actually loves Tony). But all the little scars on Tony's body, marking him as Loki's, show that Loki isn't squeamish about using one or multiple knives on his lover. It lets him get his anger at the world out in a save environment, knowing that Tony won't judge him, and without hurting anyone.

And Tony really enjoys being hurt but not being in any actual danger. He trusts Loki deeply and he has come to need this play, too, has come to need the pain, the short bursts of hot flames of a blade slicing through his flesh. It's exhilarating.

Okay real talk though, why are we not boosting the idea of Tattoo!Tony Stark like fuck we need more of this content with Tony having these like badass circuit/cyber punk tats that pain his tanned forearms and connecting together on his back with some kind of interesting design like damn son Tony being the “refined hipster” he was destined to be. who is the big spoon/little spoon Tony is the littlest of spoons. <3

what is their favorite non-sexual activity Tinkering around in the lab together. 9/10 times Tony has no idea wtf Loki is actually doing (it mostly just looks like curling up with a notebook to him) but they also enjoy watching each other work. They specifically like watching the other build things (or help each other build things, depending on the project in question).

who uses all the hot water in the morning Tony. Which is fine, because Loki isn’t fond of hot showers anyway.

what they order from take out Whatever piques their interest. Particularly when Tony stumbles upon some sort of food that Loki’s never tried. Because Tony absolutely adores the chance to introduce Loki to new Midgardian things.

what is the most trivial thing they fight over Arguing is basically their favorite form of communication. Between that and general cultural differences, they’ve had an abundance of trivial spats about stupid shit. The most recent being how (and if) apples should be cooked. (At which point Tony learned that Loki had never had apple pie and sought to rectify that. Loki found the texture incredibly off-putting.)

who does most of the cleaning Outside of things that Tony has programmed U to handle, Loki. Although he tends to use sorcery for most things, so, really. Neither of them?

what has a season pass in their DVR Loki is unendingly fascinated by Midgardian fiction, so this changes regularly. Thankfully Loki enjoys Game of Thrones and Doctor Who as much as Tony does, otherwise that might have lead to a really stupid fight.

who controls the netflix queue See above. Tony has now been subjected to some spectacularly awful movies thanks to Netflix.

who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working Well, given that Tony is the landlord... And since their heat is powered by a giant Arc Reactor, if that stops working, it means something else very bad has happened.

who steals the blankets Tony. Because he insists on sleeping pressed up against Loki, despite the fact that Loki’s cold all the time.

who leaves their stuff around Tony. Only because Loki can magic things away to a pocket dimension when he’s done with them. Tony, meanwhile, will get distracted and set things down on the nearest horizontal surface without a second thought. He does usually remember where he left things, at least. And he’s much better about keeping his lab in a strictly ordered chaos.

who remembers to buy the milk Loki. Mostly because he does almost all of the cooking, so he’s aware when they’re out of things. But Tony’s still pretty good about remembering to keep the basics stocked up.

who remembers anniversaries Bold of you to assume that either of them remembers anniversaries. Tony has about 10 dates he can keep track of on his own, and everything else he makes JARVIS keep track of, if he thinks it’s important. Bruce and Bucky tend to enable his lack of effort to remember these sorts of things, though. Loki, on the other hand, just has a vastly different perception of the passage of time, and legitimately doesn’t think of dates and years the same way that Tony does.

I found Tony Starks residence in Italy. It's on a cliff over the ocean on the highest point of the shore here. It totally looks like Tony has built it and I can totally imagine how he works on his suits and inventions up there. And the best thing, I can see it from my room.

23. How do they hug? Kiss? Tease? Flirt? Comfort?

Tony often hugs Loki from behind, wrapping his arms around his middle and squeezing him tight. On the rare occasion that Loki initiates hugging, he’ll bury his face into Tony’s shoulder and gently wrap his arms around him.

They tend to prefer rough kissing, but during pillow-talk, they favour gentle kisses. During these moments, Tony will press soft kisses on Loki’s neck or shoulder. Loki will often initiate make-out sessions first, but Tony tends to take over and become the more dominant partner.

Tony’s flirting is often obvious and direct, whereas Loki tends to be mean, but in a teasing manner. When Loki’s in a particularly good mood, his flirting can become more sexual.

When Tony needs comforting, especially after a nightmare, he’ll card his slender fingers through his hair, as it was something Frigga used to do for him when he was a child. When Loki needs comforting, Tony will take hold of his hand and rub his thumb against it. In some cases he’ll embrace him and rub his back in soothing motions.
