The Silent Knight, scripts by Bob Kanigher, art by Irv Novick was one of the three characters appearing in the original version of The Brave and The Bold starting in 1955.
Living during the time of the Knights of the Round Table, he was teenage squire Brian Kent who, from time to time, was led to a suit of shining armor in the forest by his falcon Slasher that granted him greater strength and agility.
He never found out who was taking care of and presenting him with the armor. While wearing it he did not speak so that no would would figure he was the much put-upon squire (his voice was still cracking?) and so became known as the Silent Knight.
Much later they retconed him into an incarnation of the "Hawk God" i.e. Hawkman and an ancestor of Jonathan Kent.
Never did have a Christmas story however.

May-June 1974. In a 1984 interview in AMAZING HEROES magazine, Denny O'Neil, who wrote the main story in this issue, asserted that he "certainly didn't think there was any romance" between Batman and Catwoman. "There's respect and even affection," he said, "but not romance." This was of course a completely ludicrous statement given the history of the Catwoman character even up to 1974, and probably one of the reasons this story isn't very good. It's not AS bad as O'Neil's subsequent Catwoman outing in BATMAN #266 (which also features some pointless and offensive anti-Roma stereotyping), but as that interview suggests, O'Neil never seemed to get Catwoman, which probably also has something to do with why he later tried so hard to scuttle the romance between Bruce and Selina — to the point that there were a number of years (in the late '80s and early '90s) where it wasn't clear if they had even met since the events of "Batman: Year One."
What makes O'Neil's statement especially dumb with regard to this particular issue is that his story ends like this:

What do you call that? Would Bruce be moping this way about a woman for whom he felt only grudging respect and possibly chaste affection? (Also, Bruce's contention that Catwoman "always causes evil" is remarkably unfair given the actual circumstances of this story, which involve a circus performer murdering his circus colleague out of misguided jealousy over Selina — who was only there to steal/liberate the circus's two white tigers — and then attempting to pin the murder on her out of spite.)

GH: THE FLASH #319
Ever since I was six years old, the Flash has been my favorite super hero. There was something about the combination of elements–the slick costume, the simple power, the gallery of recurring villains, the sort of serious-but-not-too-serious tone of the strip–that really connected with me. But as time went on and I got older, both I and the Flash started to change. There was a clear push away from…
