#is she really studying though...
okay but you see sam has ALSO fallen for dean's act. sam also believes dean to be the macho, daddy's soldier, beer boobs cars guy he presents himself as. this is why sam makes fun of dean whenever he even lightly steps out of that mold and thinks it's harmless banter instead of attacking an insecurity. it's why he laughs when john talks down to dean in the early seasons and it's why he seems surprised when dean is more comfortable with himself in the later seasons. it's why he just scoffs but doesn't push it when dean puts up a front and refuses to talk about his emotions and just accepts whatever excuse he makes at face value. it's why he offers dean a strip club to make him feel better when cas dies. and this isn't his fault!! dean has spent a very long time perfecting this image in front of everyone and ESPECIALLY to sam because along with it comes safety and security and stability and the only person. who has consistently been able to see through it. is castiel

[four sketches of Shigeo Kageyama and Sawako Kuronuma hanging out. 1. Walking to school next to each other. 2 (fully colored) They sit on a park bench together, Shigeo talking and Sawako listening. 3. Jogging. Shigeo stumbles and Sawako looks over in concern. 4. Sawako helping him with homework.]

I think some folks MAY have gotten the wrong idea about how I feel about Circe with some of my posts. So, to clear the air...
Homies, I love that fucked up sorceress.
I love how we're never given a reason why she turns people into animals. That's so funny and so awful. And another potion-making magic gal?!?! I love that she's just basically vibing on an island doing whatever she wants. I even love the fact that she scares Odysseus shitless! She's morally gray and that's why she's FUN.
I just sincerely hate when people try to girlboss her or have her be a victim of SA when she never was Looking at you, Miller. Especially when she was actually the one who coerced Odysseus in exchange for his men being transformed back into humans. And even then, while he was clearly afraid of her, (it's in the language of the Odyssey) she likely meant him no harm after a certain point. He just didn't know that.
Why does she need a reason to do awful things? Why can't she just be a goddess who does whatever she wants? That's the reason why I love her!!! She's fucked up!!! :D
I hate what the Telegony did to her as well! >:( You're telling me, this sorceress goddess, who makes potions (!!!) wouldn't have magic contraceptives??? Would WANT CHILDREN?!?! WITH THE PATHETIC WIFEMAN?! No. Fuck no. Eugammon of Cyrene, I have beef with you 🤬
Anyways!!! Understand all the "#anti circe" I have is simply Anti "Girlboss Circe" or the book. I genuinely think she's neat af as her morally gray, fucked up sorceress self and just get frustrated with...everything :'D

Reading my fave thin man and lady fic. Kicking my feet a lot because tbh. Sometimes a sad man really is just a weird woman's science project in a way that is so homoerotic

so i'm reading Hello Melancholic by Ohsawa Yayoi and the 'holy shit transgender' vibes continue to be off the fucking charts
with minato afraid to occupy space with the other girls in the band and afraid to eat as much as she wants or even at all is *extremely* mirroring my experiences of almost always being the tallest girl in the room and feeling like i'm Existing too much even among people who are delighted to have me there
anyway. i know that's not a universal thing but it's like this story was tailor made to stab me in the heart

This might not be anything, but while writing about your fics, the way you have the characters' mannerisms down PERFECTLY got me thinking about mirroring...
There's a lot of it in 7 (Horii is a directorial genius etc etc), most of it more intentional than these probably are, but there's something so interesting about mirroring that takes the tone of a (relatively) fond memory, a familiar gesture, and inverts it in the way shown here.
OH I'M GLAD YOU'VE NOTICED THESE TOO I think I mentioned it months back (or I drafted a post 'bout it but didn't think it was anything noteworthy) but I always really did like how the Arakawa Family mimicked each other's mannerisms (also circling back to how Jo and Masato calling Ichiban 'Ichi' presumably after picking it up from Arakawa)!
Aoki actually does the same sitting gesture too! I went back to double check and skim through the rest of the game's cutscenes, and as far as I could tell unless I skipped a scene, it really is only these three that do this specific pose:
It's such a small detail but I love it immensely and it really does highlight their connections with each other and it drives me insane

"new study finds almost no one regrets top surgery!"
Few questions:
How long is the timeline for regret? Do you care when a trans man regrets his surgery several decade later because he still has no sensation? Do you care when a detrans woman regrets it a few years later even if she loved it at the start? Do you care when a transmasc person regrets it because they felt misinformed about the results or side effects?
Do you care about the people who are the 'almost' in 'almost no one'? Or do you think they should be quiet and not question their experience?
Do you care about the societal influences that push all of us to top surgery? The sexualization and misogyny that makes many cis women not want anything to do with their breasts? The transphobia that pushes trans men to pursue medical transition as soon as possible to be respected by society?
Do you care about the medical malpractice when it occurs? Top surgery is essentially cosmetic surgery with intense mental health considerations for those of us with dysphoria. There are so many doctors that prioritize profit over whether their procedure is safe, necessary, or followed-up on properly.
