Sanskrit began to replace Persian. But Sanskrit was the language of ritual and scripture, the language of priests and holy men. Its vocabulary was not exactly forged on the anvil of everyday human experience. It was not the language of mortal love, or toil, or weariness, or yearning. It was not the language of song or poetry of ordinary people. That would have been Awadhi, Maithili, Braj Bhasha, Bhojpuri, or one of a myriad other dialects. Rarely if ever has there been an example in history of an effort to deplete language rather than enrich it. It was like wanting to replace an ocean with an aquarium.

ArShi OS: An Exceptional Car Ride
Characters: Arnav x Khushi, other IPKKND characters are mentioned Genre: Smut Rating: Explicit [NSFW] Word Count: 6550
It is a truth universally acknowledged that once you start having great sex, it’s hard to go without it. Especially, when your once shy wife becomes comfortable with her sexuality and thrives off the power she gets by teasing you.
Arnav Singh Raizada was perhaps the most sexually frustrated individual at the party being held at Shantivan (obviously untrue, but he’s allowed to throw a pity party once in a while). The house was filled with guests – the bane of his existence at the moment - because NK was getting married, having found a woman that found his butchering of the Hindi language adorable and his personality loveable. Arnav was happy for his cousin; even though NK annoyed the hell out of him sometimes, Arnav knew that NK had a heart of gold and deserved all the happiness in the world. The wedding itself wasn’t the problem, rather, Arnav was unhappy with the fact that his beautiful wife had been running around everywhere for the past week. He was aggravated by the fact that he couldn’t even kiss his wife without being interrupted.
Every time he thought that he finally had a few minutes alone with her, someone burst in to interrupt them or called for her. His wife’s eyes would twinkle with mirth every time they got interrupted and she would peck his lips and tell him to be patient before she fixed herself and ran out the room at the speed of light. It really made him wonder how Shantivan functioned before Khushi, even the thought seemed impossible now.
Arnav was sure that she was rather enjoying torturing him like this, although Arnav acknowledged it wasn’t really her fault, but she was definitely laughing at his obvious frustration. He often wondered if it was payback for having teased her so much – especially about their suhaag raat. He recalled her running around everywhere, pretending to be busy – but the problem now was that she was actually busy.
Khushi worked way too hard throughout the day and by the end of the day he practically had to carry her up to their room and force her to sleep before she fainted from exhaustion. His wife loved planning weddings - being a part of the festivities and creating more work for herself with her elaborate schemes. It worried him so much that he had left strict instructions for Hari Prakash, who was to ensure that Khushi ate and took a break once in while when Arnav wasn’t around to make sure she took care of herself.
Even now Arnav’s eyes followed his wife as she ran through the crowds, she was either mingling with relatives and friends or being pulled aside by family members to discuss last minute glitches. She looked absolutely ethereal in a sheer pale gold saree, it was an AR Design from the line that was inspired by her. The saree was handcrafted and adorned with the gold dots and had heavy work on the pallu. She had paired it with the kundan set he had gifted her on their anniversary. Arnav had literally come to a standstill when he saw her, if Anjali had not walked in to go over some last minute details, the saree would have been laying on their bedroom floor. Alas, the world was unkind to Arnav Singh Raizada and he just had to admire from afar while business associates chattered in his ear.
For the second time in his life, Arnav envied NK – the first time had been during Aakash’s wedding when he had immediately hit it off with Khushi and now he was envious because NK got to be attached to the hip of the woman he was getting engaged to while he had to admire his wife from afar.
Arnav excused himself from (boring!) speculations about the stock market when he saw his wife struggling to pick up a box. To an outside observer the scene screamed meet-cute (apart from the fact that the two people meeting were already married). Khushi had managed to get the box off the table but it was clear that she had miscalculated and could not support the weight of it, leading to some interesting stumbling. Arnav breezed through the crowd and got to her just in time, exclaiming, “Careful Khushi!” as he put his hand under the box to support the weight of it. Khushi’s eyes widened before she let out a sigh of relief and smiled up at her husband tentatively waiting for the why aren’t you more careful-why couldn’t you ask for help tirade.
“Are you okay?” He asked as he took the box and placed it back on the table. She nodded with a smile, she loved hearing that particular phrase, tum theek ho, for some reason. “What the hell is in this box? And why do you need to carry it?!” He said, sounding quite exasperated. “Hari Prakash!” Arnav yelled.
“Arnav ji, I was just helping HP, the caterer delivered the mithai late – and all packed into one box so I thought-”
“So you thought you would take the opportunity to fall and break something, of course.”
“I was not falling!”
“Really? Was that a new dance move then?” He asked, his eyebrow arched.
“Haan!”
“Oh really?”
“Haan, really.”
“Shut up Khushi.”
Khushi’s mouth fell wide open before she snapped it close, her eyes narrowing and her face scrunching up – a tell tale sign that she was angry.
“Laad Governor! Listen, I am already quite annoyed with you, don’t upset me further!” Khushi said, stressing the word annoyed by saying it in English, a word she had heard her husband use often.
“Acha? What are you annoyed about Mrs. Raizada?” Arnav asked with a smirk, his voice deep and husky, as he gently grabbed her hand in his and pulled her to him with enough force to bring her right against him, essentially capturing her. Khushi’s breath hitched as his eyes strayed on her lips before he leaned in closer, her eyes closed in anticipation but he just ran his nose along her jaw.
“Khushi, you didn’t say why you are annoyed.” He murmured against her skin, his lips barely touching her but his breath hitting her neck and causing her to shiver. The room seemed to go silent for a moment and all she could hear was the sound of her own heart, the hair on the back of her neck stood erect and she gulped. She cursed her body for its reaction to him, wondering why she still reacted like this. Arnav moved away just a smidge, his eyes flickered from her eyes to her lips and back again, slowly, causing her breath to hitch. Arnav’s mind went blank for a second, just like it seemed to every time he was this close to her, he always meant to fluster her but her proximity never failed to leave him flustered as well – albeit he was a lot better than his wife at hiding how flustered he was.
“Uh – that-” Khushi started to answer but stopped short when his other hand, the one that wasn’t holding her wrist, started rubbing circles into her bare back.
“Hmmmm.” He hummed when Khushi stopped short, his thumb grazing the bottom of the back of her blouse.
“Y-y-you didn’t say anything about the saree.” She murmured as his finger slipped under the bottom of her blouse causing her back to arch towards him. Khushi had gotten used to her husband’s compliments and it was odd to not hear them.
“Ahhhh.” He realized, an impish smile growing on his face as he pulled his wife flush against him and leaned down so he could speak into her ear. He felt her stiffen as his lips grazed her outer ear, and he could feel the goosebumps erupt on the arm he was holding behind her back. “Well, Mrs. Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, you ran out of the room before I could even process how beautiful you look – if you had waited for another few seconds I would have let you know that you look like a goddess and we would have been very late to the engagement party.”  He whispered, his tone suggestive. “In fact, we can skip out right now, I don’t think people will notice.”
The mention of people effectively brought Khushi out of her trance, her wide eyes looked around the room – although they were in a secluded corner anyone could walk by. “Arnav ji, let me go.” She murmured trying to get away, alas her husband was a lot stronger than her and had no intention of letting her go at the moment. He pulled her even closer.
“Arnav ji, please.” She whispered putting her hands on his chest, but her voice was raspy and it seemed to ask him to come closer rather than move away. If Khushi was honest, she didn’t want him to let go, especially not after she put her hands on his chest and felt his heart hammering away under her hands.
Arnav shook his head lightly, placing a kiss on her nose. “Your nose is red.” He whispered huskily rubbing his nose against hers, his eyes closing as his forehead came to rest against hers. Khushi’s eyes closed on their own accord as she tried to regulate her breathing, it didn’t help though, because with every breath she inhaled his intoxicating scent, a scent she often sprayed on his pillow to fall asleep on nights when he wasn’t at home. Her knees were threatening to give out underneath her, if it wasn’t for the support of Arnav’s arms, she would have probably lost her balance.
She felt like she was ablaze even though their actions were seemingly innocent, he was just leaning his forehead against her but the fact that he was so close that she could feel their breaths mingling and the heat emanating from his body made it so sensual. She was about to speak but she let out a gasp when she felt one of his hands come up and caress her cheek softly, but with enough pressure that his touch left tingles in its wake. She felt him move back a bit and her eyes opened and met his, he was staring at her intently, his fingers caressing the lines of her face, he traced her cheek, and then her chin. She gulped when his eyes flickered down to her lips yet again, she could feel the air thicken around them as he slowly ran his thumb across her bottom lip, she let out an involuntary moan and his eyes grew wide before they flew to hers.
“Arnav-” She meant to say more, to remind him that there were people around, but the only thing that came out of her mouth was his name, and it sounded more like a moan than it did as the warning she wanted it to be. His hold on her didn’t loosen, he moved in even closer, something she thought wasn’t possible, his chest touched hers with every breath he took. Khushi had to hold back a groan because she could feel her nipples harden under her blouse with every breath and she could feel the familiar knot in her stomach tightening. She stifled a moan when his Adam’s apple bobbed as he gulped, his eyes locked with hers.
They were so engrossed in each other and failed to hear the footsteps heading towards them. “Oh, not again.” Aakash groaned as he turned the corner and saw his brother and sister-in-law. It was quite a scene, Khushi was pressed up against Arnav, her hands resting on his chest, one of his hands up the back of her blouse, and their faces were a mere few inches away. Khushi tried to push away from Arnav but he held her close and turned to Aakash.
“Did you need something Aakash?” He asked, his voice even, his eyebrow arched.
“Di is looking for Khushi ji.” Aakash said. “So if you’re done…” He smirked causing Arnav to narrow his eyes. “I’ll go.” Aakash said scurrying away.
“Hai Devi Maiyaa, this is so embarrassing.” Khushi murmured watching her Jija Ji scurry away.
“How so? You’re my wife, we’re not doing anything wrong -”
“You – ugh, let it be. Arnav Ji, let me go please.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.” She said but it sounded more like a question.
“Can I interest you in a quickie?” He teased causing her to blush and throw her hand over his mouth to silence him.
“You’re – you’re so shameless! Someone is going to hear you!” She said. “Let go, please.”
“Nope.”
“What do you want?” She asked narrowing her eyes at him.
“You know what I want.” He said, his voice dropping an octave.
Khushi smiled up at him, his hands dragging down his chest as she leaned up to kiss his cheek but her lips didn’t meet his cheek, rather her hand dragged over the crotch of his pants causing Arnav’s eyes to widen. His grip on her hand loosened every so slightly and Khushi was about to lean up to whisper in his ear when she caught sight of a cream saree. “Nani Ji!” Khushi exclaimed trying to push Arnav away.
“Haha Khushi, I am not falling for that.” He murmured about to lean down to kiss her when he heard a throat clear behind him. Arnav’s eyes widened comically as he let go of Khushi, it was quite difficult to surprise Arnav Singh Raizada but being caught canoodling with his wife by his grandmother of all people was definitely surprising.
“If you don’t have a problem with it, may I steal Khushi bititya away from you?” Nani said as he turned around, one of her eyebrows arched and a disapproving look on her face that did not intimidate anyone due to the fact that she was fighting a smile and failing.
“Of course.” Arnav said, calmly while his wife freaked out for the both of them. She followed Nani quietly turning to look at her husband who had the audacity to wink at her.
______________________________________________________________________
The best laid plans of Arnav Singh Raizada only go awry when they concern spending time with his wife. He had overheard his staff clamouring about the newest Salman Khan movie – he knew enough from Khushi to conclude that it was the second installment of the cop movie with the weird dance move. He knew that nothing would make his wife happier than to go see the movie but he wasn’t a fan of crowded movie theatres.
So, he did what any loving (and rich!) husband would do. He rented out a private screening room in the hottest theatre in town, it had opened recently and promised viewers a lavish and comfortable experience. They had couches instead of movie seats, and also housed a great restaurant on site.
He was relishing the opportunity to spend some time with his wife alone, but then Di had overheard him and came to the conclusion that Arnav wanted to take the family out – considering their cousins from Australia had also been wanting to see the movie. Arnav could not refuse, which is why he looked rather defeated as he walked into the theatre beside his wife after dinner.
Although he hadn’t told Khushi of his original plan, she understood her husband well enough to catch the general gist of what he was trying to do. Khushi let everyone settle into their respective couches and pulled her husband all the way to the back by the door, away from their family. Arnav arched his eyebrow at her in question but she just leaned up and kissed his cheek before sitting down on the grey couch, crossing her legs, pulling her husband right beside her and snuggling into his side.
Arnav smiled and pulled her closer as she grabbed the soft grey blanket provided and threw it over their legs. “Thank you.” She said quietly, her eyes shining with happiness as he looked down at her. She had been ecstatic when she learned that they were going to the movies, she didn’t think she’d have the chance to see this one in theatre considering all that was going on.
“You would totally leave me for Salman Khan, wouldn’t you?” He teased.
“Of course.” She laughed snuggling further into him but she pulled away when he stiffened, she looked up to see that he looked rather crestfallen. “Arnav Ji, you know I am joking! I would never-” She stopped short when a chuckle escaped him.
“You’re so easy to tease.” He said tapping her nose as the room darkened, Khushi made a hmph sound while lightly slapping his arm before cuddling into his side again pulling his hand into hers and holding it tightly.
“Laad Governor.” She whispered as everyone around them quietened.
“Always.” He whispered back as his wife’s attention as drawn to the screen.
Arnav genuinely tried to watch the movie – but he was bored within the first twenty minutes. As always, the story was predictable and he honestly felt that most Salman Khan movies were very similar. He looked down at his wife, her eyes were glued onto the screen, an excited smile on her face. She occasionally squeezed his hand, which was in hers and resting on his knee, when she was amused. At least one of them was enjoying the movie. Arnav’s eyes scanned the dark hall, illuminated by the screen. He caught sight of Payal and Aakash whispering to each other and his cousins throwing popcorn at the back of NK’s head. His Mami and Di had their eyes glued to the screen.
He looked back down at his wife when he felt her hand move from his knee to find her staring right back at him, her face flushed, his eyes flashed back at the screen but didn’t find anything that would elicit the pink tinge in her cheeks. He looked back down at her and arched his eyebrow. She shook her head and looked away, her face turning even redder, her breathing a bit louder than usual. Arnav watched his wife closely as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath before moving her lips quickly as if she was talking to herself.
“What’s wrong, Khushi?” He whispered into her ear, she stiffened in his arm and shook her head again. Arnav’s fingers traced over her wrist, and noticed her gulp. “Khushi.” He murmured, his voice husky, as he pulled slightly on her chin so she would face him. “What’s wrong?” He asked imploringly while looking into her eyes.
Her eyes seemed unfocused and she took a deep breath again before tentatively answering him. “I was going to…try something, and then I couldn’t.” She murmured trying to pull away but he didn’t let her go.
“Try something?” He asked, his eyebrow furrowed in confusion. But she didn’t answer, she just blushed prettily and pulled her gaze away firmly.
Arnav Singh Raizada was great at collecting information and arriving at a possible conclusion – a skill honed by his years at AR. He thought back to what had brought his attention back to Khushi – her hand moving from his knee, particularly up his leg. And she was looking at him, her face was flushed, her breathing louder and her eyes unfocused. Arnav looked down at his wife again noticing that she was biting her bottom lip. That was the last clue he needed to arrive at his conclusion – his wife was turned on – he knew how to recognize the signs.
His lips pulled up in a smile as he realized what she was probably trying to do. His wife had come really far in being comfortable with her sexuality and sex in general – but there were still some things that she was hesitant about.
Arnav pulled his hands out of hers and placed it on her knee, under her kameez, he felt her stiffen again and look up at him. He looked right back at her as he slowly dragged his hand up her thigh, he was glad that she was sitting cross-legged on the sofa because it allowed him to easily move his hand from the front of her thigh to the inside. Her eyes widened as his fingers lightly traced over her womanhood over the cloth of her pajami.
“Is this what you were going to try?” He whispered into her ear as his finger moved up and down along her heat, slowly. She let out a small gasp that no one would hear over the blaring sound of the movie. She didn’t answer, he stilled his fingers. “Khushi, I asked you a question.” He murmured his voice husky, he felt and saw the shiver that ran through her as she nodded.
“Hm, and why did you stop?” He asked, using the heel of his palm to rub against her, her eyes closed at the feeling. He stilled when she didn’t answer again and looked at her expectantly.
“I was embarrassed.” She murmured, he moved his hand upwards and pulled on the elastic band of her pajami, his hand easily pulling it down slightly. He ran his fingers along her covered slit, he could feel the heat over the thin layer of her panties, and he let out a very low groan when he felt the wetness.
“Of what?” He murmured running his finger up and down her slit over and over again. She bit her lip to stop a moan and took a deep breath in before she answered.
“Of someone catching us…but mostly your reaction.” She mumbled, her eyes flickering to the screen where a loud dance number seemed to have started.
“Well Mrs. Raizada.” He whispered while pulling her panties to the side. “We’re sitting all the way at the back of a dark theatre, covered by a blanket so no one is going to catch us unless you scream.” Khushi bit her lip hard as his finger met her wetness without any barriers. “And my reaction would be pretty similar to what yours is now.” He added, biting her ear as he ran his nail over her clit. Khushi’s eyes closed as he teased her slowly. “Eyes on the screen Khushi, at least pretend to be interested.” He whispered into her ear as his finger moved down her slit and to her opening.
“Arnav.” She gasped as he slid a finger inside her, groaning quietly in her ear as he felt her wetness and warmth around him.
“Shhh, Khushi. You have to be quiet.” He whispered in her ear as he slowly moved his finger in and out. She bit her lip to stop a moan when he added a second finger, his thumb rubbing circles into her clit. He smiled as her back arched in frustration, he could tell that she wanted to move against his fingers so he would move faster but he deliberately went slow.
She gripped his upper arm tightly, and looked up at him pleadingly, moving her hips slightly as she bit down harshly on her bottom lip. “Eyes on the screen, Khushi.” He murmured as he sped up, his movements sharp and his fingers moving easily with how wet she was.  He picked up the pace of his fingers, sliding deeper and harder into her, he rubbed the nail of his thumb against her clit, the sharp sensation along with the rapid movement making her arch her back further as she gasped.
“Khushi.” He warned, slowing down so she didn’t scream.
“Arnav, please.” She mumbled.
“You have to quiet.” He murmured, the song had come to an end – and although the sound was still quite loud it would be a lot easier to pick up sounds between dialogues that it had been between the song. She nodded, closing her mouth and pressing her lips together as he resumed the movements. His fingers arched deep inside her, rubbing against the spot that always made her scream. She was fighting back the urge now but her body was writhing as she struggled to stay in her seat, her other hand grabbed the sofa cushion tightly.
“Maybe I should stop right now.” He murmured into her ear but continued thrusting his fingers into her. “So you can feel my pain too.” He added referring back to what he had dubbed the week from hell. He had to stifle his laughter as her head whipped up and her eyes met his, giving him an angry look. “Tuck your face into my shoulder.” He murmured when he felt her insides quivering, he sped up just a tad and he felt her convulse around his fingers. Her back arched and she moved her hips, pushing him deeper inside her as she bit his arm to keep quiet. He let out a soft groan at the feeling of her coming around his fingers, it had been too long.
Khushi’s body felt like jelly as she felt his fingers slide out of her, she had to hold back a groan at the loss of the fullness she felt. Her eyes met her husbands’ as he pulled his hand out of her pajami, fixing her clothes in the process. His eyes locked with hers and he licked his fingers clean. Khushi’s eyes widened and her cheeks flushed causing him to wink at her. He was thoroughly fascinated and amused by the duality of his wife’s behaviour – at times she would flush and seemed rather embarrassed by anything remotely sexual but at other times she was a seductress, pushing him onto their bed and having her way with him. He enjoyed both aspects of her, he really enjoyed it when she let herself go and acted on her desires without overthinking things though.
He could tell that her mind was working a mile a minute as the two of them just sat in their seats, their eyes locked, completely uninterested in the movie that was playing. He could see his own desire reflected in her eyes.
Khushi’s eyes trailed down her husband’s body, stopping at his crotch, his pants were tight enough for her to realize how turned on her husband was. Her eyes flashed back up to his and he arched his eyebrow at her. “Arnav ji, lets go.” She whispered.
“Where?” He asked surprised.
“Home.” She whispered.
“But the movie?” He asked, surprised that she would even think of leaving a Salman Khan movie.
“I don’t care right now.” She murmured, her face turning even redder. If someone asked her what the movie was about she would only be able to recount the first 30 minutes anyways.
“Khushi-” Arnav was about to say something to her when the overhead lights all turned on, his eyes turned to the screen to see that it was the intermission.
Khushi’s eyes grew wide and turned towards the front of the room but everyone seemed to be preoccupied with their neighbours, discussing the movie. Anjali, who was sitting four rows ahead of them turned around to face them with a smile. But her smile fell quickly when she saw how red Khushi was and how tense her brother looked.
“Khushi ji, are you okay?” Anjali asked, concern dripping from her voice. Khushi opened her mouth to answer but nothing came out.
“She’s not feeling to well Di, I think I’ll take her home now.” Arnav suggested to Anjali while squeezing his wife’s hand.
“Of course. Would you like me to come with you?” Anjali asked but Arnav shook his head before the sentence had even ended.
“It’s all right Di, there is no reason for you to come with. I think Khushi is just tired with running around everywhere, I’ll take her home. Enjoy the movie and we’ll see you all later.” He said, his voice even. Khushi just nodded at her sister-in-law.
“Okay, Khushi ji, I hope you feel better soon. Get some rest.” Anjali said with a smile.
“I doubt she’s getting any rest.” Arnav mumbled under his breath causing Khushi to elbow him conspicuously as she got up off the sofa, “Walk in front of me.” Arnav whispered causing Khushi’s blush to deepen when she realized the reason for the request. She walked in front of her husband as they exited the theatre quickly hoping to avoid the rest of the family.
“I can’t believe you left a Salman Khan movie.” Arnav teased to break the silence as they walked towards the car.  The parking lot was silent and dark considering the last shows for the day were running and everyone was inside.
“I can’t believe you did that with our family in the same room.” She said looking over her shoulder, although she wasn’t really protesting inside thinking about it now made her wonder what possessed her. Maybe it was the dark theatre and the proximity of her husband.
“It was your idea wifey, and you weren’t exactly complaining.” He teased as they approached the car.
Khushi turned around as soon as she reached the car, she was going to say something but before she could even open her mouth her husband had her pinned against the passenger side of the car. Khushi let out a small moan at the feel of his body pressed into her, she could feel his hardness against her stomach and just like that the hesitancy that had cropped up disappeared all together.
Arnav leaned down and took her lips in a frenzied kiss, his hands trailing down his wife’s body and resting at her waist, pulling her flush against him. Her hands found their way around his shoulder and her fingers tangled into the short hair at the base of his neck, scratching and pulling. He bit her bottom lip roughly causing her to moan and open her mouth to him, and she felt herself melt into him like always. Her hands pulled him closer, their teeth clashing together at her impatience. She slowly gyrated her hips against his, feeling his hardness and causing him to groan against her mouth.
“You’re killing me. Home.” He whispered pulling away slowly. Khushi felt her breath hitch at the look in his eyes, she just nodded as he opened her door and motioned for her to get in. She heard the groan that was probably not meant for her ears as he closed her door and walked around the car to the driver’s side.
Khushi’s eyes stayed on her husband as he drove, and his eyes stayed on the road in order to not kill them before they got home. Khushi was an expert at reading Arnav Singh Raizada – and at the moment he was very frustrated, his hands were gripping the steering wheel too tightly, he changed the gear with more force than needed and he didn’t hit the breaks smoothly. He was definitely going over the speed limit but the roads were thankfully not too busy.
“Stop staring at me Khushi.” He murmured as he changed lanes to overtake a smaller car.
“You stare at me all the time.” She retorted, and it was true, she could always feel his eyes following her around a room. The past week had been almost unbearable because every time she turned around he had that come hither look in his eyes that she found hard to resist.
“You’re distracting me.” He said.
“Really, I thought the Arnav Singh Raizada was immune to distractions.” She teased placing her hand on his thigh close to his crotch. The car swerved sharply to the left for a moment and Khushi let out a giggle. “I guess not then.” She laughed.
“Behave Khushi.” He chastised her, finally looking over at her. She had a smile on her face and a mischievous look in her eyes. He knew that Khushi derived immense pleasure and satisfaction from throwing him off guard and teasing him. She had claimed that she was rather impressed by the power she had over ASR.
Her fingers continued to stroke his thighs over his black slacks, slowly, in circles. “Khushi.” He warned again.
“I didn’t say anything before.” She murmured running her hands further up his thigh running her hands over the zipper of his slacks. Arnav took a deep breath in as he felt Khushi unzip his pants and reach inside his pants to grasp him, slowly running her hand up and down the hard flesh. “Slow down.” She murmured when he steadily increased the speed of the car, his foot pressing down on the pedal.
“That’s enough.” Arnav murmured as he pulled off the main road and onto a smaller road.
“You’re going the wrong way.” Khushi murmured, her hand stopping its slow up and down movement and moving away.
“Am I?” He murmured as he turned onto another road, and Khushi’s eyes lit up in recognition. He was going to the Raizada cottage, the one where his mother had planted the elaborate rose garden.
“I thought we were going home.” Khushi replied as the car pulled onto the unpaved road that led to the house. He pressed the breaks abruptly as soon as the house appeared in front of them and put the car in park.
“I can’t do this at home, can I?” He said turning to her and unbuckling her belt while pushing his seat as far back as it would go. He caught her lips with his teeth before kissing her, his head slanting as he thrust his tongue along hers pulling her up off her seat and onto his lap in the process. It wasn’t as smooth as expected and Khushi let out a moan, of pain, as her leg hit the gear shift.
“Sorry, are you okay?” He murmured against her lips as she settled into his lap. She nodded as her hands went around his shoulders, locking behind the driver’s seat. His hands came to rest at the bottom of her back.
“Mhmm.” Khushi responded while taking his bottom lip between her teeth and biting down gently. Her hand slipped down the front of his body to grasp his hardness again as her tongue dueled with his, meeting him thrust for thrust.
Her lips broke off from his but didn’t leave his skin, she trailed kisses down his stubbly cheek and then his neck, tracing the muscles of his neck with her tongue and running her teeth over his Adam’s apple causing him to groan as her hands moved up and down his cock, her touch soft yet firm.
His own hands worked their way up to the zipper at the back of her kameez, unzipping it all the way to the bottom of her spine. He pushed her away from her a little to grasp the shirt and throw it over her head onto the dashboard, leaving her clad in a pale pink bra which thankfully opened at the front. It met the same fate as her shirt and landed on the dashboard.
Khushi’s hand left his cock to unbutton his pants, and pull his shirt out, she frantically unbuttoned the shirt before moving her hands along his abs and up his chest and to his shoulders to slide the shirt off, he moved up slightly so the shirt fell behind him, her hands grasped it and threw it onto the backseat.
His hands slid up to her breasts, cupping the weight in his hands and squeezing lightly as she moved to start kissing and biting down his exposed upper body, her hands running over the indents and bulges of his upper body. Her hands wrap around his dick again, this time with more pressure causing him to instinctively lean into her touch.
He let out a moan and feels her smile against his chest, she loved the heavy weight and heat of him in her palm. She moved back slightly, meeting his eyes and revelling at his slackened jaw. She could feel the painful throbbing between her own legs return despite her earlier orgasm.
“Fuck Khushi.” He let out a loud moan when she traced his slit with the pad of her thumb. “Stop.” He groaned.
A couple of months ago Khushi would have let go of him and flushed red, thinking she did something wrong. But now she knew that it wasn’t that she was doing things wrong, she was doing them too right - he had taught her exactly how to touch her by whispering instructions in her ear in their dark room.
“Lean back.” Arnav murmured as he tried to pull her pants down. It was a struggle considering that she was straddling him.
“Ahhh!” Khushi screamed in shock when she leaned back too much and the horn let out a blare. The two of them paused for a second before laughter filled the car. Khushi wiggled back to the passenger side seat again with a chuckle and wiggled out of her pajami and panties as Arnav pushed his pants and boxers down.
“Come here.” He murmured pulling her back to straddle him, her knees resting on either side of the narrow seat. He pulled her flush against him, running his length along her slit. They both let out a moan at the feeling, she was definitely ready for him.
Arnav grabbed his dick with one hand and lined himself up with her entrance allowing her to slowly sink onto him. Khushi let out a loud moan as she felt him enter her until he was fully sheathed inside her. Khushi’s eyes opened and met his, he watched her intently, her mouth was wide open and she looked rather satisfied.
“It’s been way too long.” Arnav murmured, his forehead resting against hers as his hands moved to her hips, digging into the skin, and helping her move on top of him. They quickly established a steady rhythm, the car filled with sounds of loud moans and quiet sighs as they moved against each other. Their lips found each other’s between moans and their hands travelled and grasped naked skin.
Arnav pulled on a lever to the side of his seat, reclining it back even further. Khushi moaned in appreciation as her hands came to rest on his chest, she pushed against him to move herself on top of him. Arnav groaned watching his cock slip in and out of his wife. His hands grasped her hips again as he helped her move faster on top of him, he watched as her breasts swayed and leaned up to take a peak into his mouth, biting down on her nipple softly.
“Arnavvvvvvvvv.” She moaned. “More.”
Arnav’s arms tightened around her waist, holding her as he moved with her increasing the pace and causing Khushi to let out little whimpers with each hard thrust of his hips against hers. Her whimpers grew louder and he let out a groan as her walls started clenching around him. She fell forward, burying her face into the crook of his neck, letting out a loud moan at the change of angle. She bit his shoulder as she felt the coil in her stomach snap and her orgasm rushed through her as he pulsed inside her.
“I can’t…I can’t breathe.” Khushi whispered seconds later, pulling back panting, her eyes locked on Arnav’s. Arnav grinned at her watching her eyes flutter shut, she looked beautiful – her face flushed, her hair a mess, and her lipstick smeared across her chin.
"You better catch your breath then Mrs. Raizada because we’re not done yet.” He whispered.

After reading the book, I feel fortunate enough to across his heritage of that lifetime. He must have a beautiful heart in conclusion of a floating soul in a heavy world.
"In all his writing, the world of concrete objects carries its full common sense of pleasure and hardship, of beauty and blight. At the same time, his philosophical turn of mind involves him in a real struggle of ideas, one usually carried on by closed mings and obscured by fuzzy words. This struggle pits the "materialists" with their rational methods against the "idealists" with their intuitive or spiritual insights."
"Or rather he tells us all over again that the true battle lies within us and calmly transfers the struggle to the slopes of an interior mountain which we must climb. Most of us find that a harder task than carrying on a rousing battle with an ideological enemy."
"And neither of them took cover behind the convenient shrubbery of the "ineffable"; words brought their trials and their triumphs. Daumal's work follows Nerval's in its resolve to fuse body and spirit, speech and sleep, logic and intuition, in order to enter a "second life".
'"Nerval, however, prepared himself increasingly to disappear for good into that other world, and finally hung himself in a Paris alley. Daumal, somewhat less afflicted, or blessed, with night vision, resolutely returned to this world, his eyes seeking light again, his mind struggling to tell what he had seen."
"We must first become human before seeking anything superior."
"The Westerner tends by tradition to think of grasping the meaning of life through certain crucial experiences - death, grief, danger, passionate love, sudden success, catastrophe. Existentialism has aptly termed them "extreme situations", in reference to which we discover ourselves - whence our attraction to the adventurous life, war, scientific progress, romantic love. Having cast his mind deep into Indian philosophy, Daumal senses that the reality and meaning of the world can come to us at every moment without having to rely wholly on extreme situations to wrench us into awareness. Action, as has been pointed out many times, is for Westerners both stimulant and drug. The four stages of Hindi initiation, from the Vedas to the Upinshads, and the complementary disciplines of Yoga and Zen, prepare us not for a career of great exploits to be recalled in old age, but for a life increasingly dedicated to "the teaching which cuts through illusion."
"He understood very early that the basic act of consciousness is a negation, a dissociation of the I from the exterior world of not -I. Meaningful perception reduces and refines the I, withdraws it from the world into an increasingly strict identity or subjectivity. Then, however, beginning a vibratory rhythm which must follow if self-annihilation is not to result, the pure consciousness expands again into all things, experiences the world subjectively once more, loses itself in the mystery of creation."
Asceticism
"Man achieves inner spiritual progress by his own efforts, by a human discipline that is not a gift of god and can be learned from other men further advanced on the path of knowledge. Teaching and initiation are central to all religions and cultures. Within a system where no truth comes by divine revelation but only by human attainment, the sense of a tradition of knowledge comes to support the entire structure of life.... And thus Daumal spoke un-flinchingly of a Doctrine, meaning not a narrow set of rituals or dogmas, not art for art's sake in aesthetics, not a fixed philosophical position, but a number of paths leading to the same goal: a higher form of life."
Peradam
"Mount Analogue, the novel, has the force of a curving and uncurving lens for our minds. Through it, we can glimpse that "other world" of which Nerval spoke, and Spinoza and Socrates. And yet it is hard to look through it, for so limpid a substance almost escapes one's attention even when it is right under one's eyes. One could conceivably read ever word of the book without seeing a thing."
"And from deep within me, like a bubble, rose the admission that my life had become all too stagnant lately. Thus, when I opened the letter, I could not be sure whether it affected me like a breath of fresh air or like a disagreeable draught."
"I had written in substance that in the mythic tradition the Mountain is the bond between Earth and Sky. Its solitary summit reaches the sphere of eternity, and its base spreads out in manifold foothills into the world of mortals. It is the way by which man can raise himself to the divine, and by which the divine reveals itself to man."
" ... a general discussion of symbols, which I divided into two classes: those subject to law of proportion, and those subject only to the law of scale as well.... "Proportion" concerns the relations between dimensions of a structure, "scale" the relations between these dimensions and those of the human body. An equilateral triangle, symbol of the Trinity, has exactly the same value no matter what its dimensions; it has no "scale". On the other hand consider an exact model of a cathedral a few inches in height. This object will always convey, through its shape and proportions, the intellectual meaning of the original structure, even if some details have to be examined under a magnifying glass. But it will no longer produce anything like the same emotion or the same response: it is no longer "to scale". And what defines the scale of the ultimate symbolic mountain - The one I propose to call Mount Analogue- is its inaccessibility to ordinary human approaches. .......
For a mountain to play the role of Mount Analogue, I concluded, its summit must be inaccessible but its base accessible to human beings as nature has made them. It must be unique and it must exist geographically. The door to the invisible must be visible."
" You understand that you and I have such grave decisions to make, with such a far-reaching consequences for our lives, that we can't start by taking shots in the dark. We'll have to get to know each other. Today we can walk around together, talk, eat, and be silent together. Later I believe we'll have the opportunity to act and suffer together. All is that necessary to "make someone's acquaintance" as they say."
"Up to that point I had always spotted those second-hand Satans. They were so naive and always tried the same tricks, poor devils. Their entire approach consisted of variations on a few fundamental falsehoods every one knew, such as:"To obey the letter of the rules in only for imbeciles who cannot understand their spirit". Or :"With my health, alas, I cannot attempt such hardships."
" Life dealt with me a little the way an organism treats a foreign body: it was obviously trying either to encyst me or to expel me, and for my own part I yearned for "something else" .... I readjusted little by little to contemporary life, but only externally, it's true. For, when you come down to it, I can't bring myself to fall in with this monkey-cage agitation which people so dramatically call life. ..... Fake, all fake. I can't say one of those cards: here's a truth, one small but certain truth. In the whole show there's nothing but mystery and error. Where one ends, the other begins."
Since Logos is quite crazy in his assumption because everything was merely made in his mind. He is as if a scientist making a hypothesis totally out of intuition and initiated a whole journey to test it; that is the reason why I found this description pretty cool "We all sat stunned by the audacity and logical power of this deduction. Everyone kept silent and everyone was convinced."
"The path to our highest desires often lies through the undesirable."
" If I were to tell this story the way history is usually written or the way each of us recalls his own past, which means recording only the most glorious moments and inventing a new continuity for them, I should omit these little details and say that our eight stout hearts drummed from morning to night in time with a single all-encompassing desire - or some such lie. But the flame which kindles desire and illuminates thought never burned for more than a few seconds at a stretch. The rest of the time we tried to remember it."
I do not know why but this author did have a sense of humor with all of his mockery and ironicness.
"Some people say they have always existed and will exist forever. Others say they are the dead. And others say that, as a sword has its scabbard or a foot its imprint, every living man has in the mountain his Hollow-Man, which he will seek out in death."
"No one has ever been able to catch it, for the tiniest tremor of fear anywhere close by alerts it, and it disappears into the rock. Even if one desires it, one is a little afraid of possessing it, and it vanishes. .... It's like looking for night in broad daylight."
"But in our relations with the superior beings of Mount Analogue, what would be suitable for barter? What did we possess of real value? With what could we pay for the new knowledge we were seeking? Would we have to accept it as charity? or on credit?"
"At the same time as we decided to leave our heavy equipment on the coast, we were also preparing to leave behind the artist, the inventor, the doctor, the scholar, the writer. Beneath the old disguises new men and new women began to show the tips of their ears. Men and women, and all kinds of other creatures as well."
"In the mountains a man becomes very attentive to any sign indicating the presence of one of his fellow men. That distant smoke was particularly moving for us, a greeting sent us by strangers climbing ahead of us on the same trail. For from now on the trail linked our fate to theirs, even if we were never to meet. Bernard knew nothing about them."
Rhododendron
"At the end I want to speak at length of one of the basic laws of Mount Analogue. To reach the summit, one must proceed from encampment to encampment. But before setting out for the next refuge, one must prepare those coming after to occupy the place one is leaving. Only after having prepared them can one go on up. That is why, before setting out for a new refuge, we had to go back down in order to pass on our knowledge to other seekers..."
"Probably Rene Daumal would have made clear what he meant by this work of preparation. For in his daily life he devoted himself to preparing many minds for the difficult voyage toward Mount Analogue. The title of his last chapter was to be: "And you, what do you seek?.... To face it directly is to strike against the deepest layer of being which sleeps within us, and then one must listen painfully and lucidly to the sound it sends back."
"By our calculations - thinking of nothing else - by our desires - abandoning every other hope - by our efforts - renouncing all bodily comfort - we gained entry into this new world. So it seemed to us. But we learned later that if we were able to approach Mount Analogue, it was because the invisible doors of that invisible country had been opened for us by those who guard them. The cock crowing in the milky dawn thinks its call raises the sun; the child howling in a closed room thinks its cries cause the door to open. But the sun and the mother follow courses set by the laws of their own beings. Those who see us even though we cannot see them opened the door for us, answering our puerile calculations, our steady desires, and our awkward efforts with a generous welcome."

Cellphone or phone.
Tumblr media
Based of my opinion and research.
Cellphone or Phone is a directly screen or a portable telephone that entry or access to the cellular radio system that can make and collect call above the a radio frequency. A basic primary mobile phone is therefore tiny more than a merge of radio transmitter and radio receiver. Cellphone or phone help us to communicate our love ones to distant place over the world anytime anywhere 😍❤️. Cellphone can affect our brain activity, reaction times, and sleep patterns, and it caused brain cancer if we over used it.

What’s my sin? “You’re ruining our family. Hindi ka ganyan.”
By: Ginny Puno
These words have changed myself dramatically. It has been hard for me to talk about this specific instance in my life. However, when I was asked to discuss a phrase or sentence that significantly affected my identity today, I could not help but recall these striking words uttered by my mom. In tears, she tells me, “You’re ruining our family.”
To put things into perspective, my mom told this to me when I was a third year high school student – still trying to figure out who I was in this world. With the growing availability of media at this point in time, I can say that my discovery of myself was also shaped by the information I was exposed to. As someone who was extremely fond of YouTube, I had come across certain viral videos of people coming out to their parents in a creative and touching way. Similarly, I was growing to like even more gay personalities like Tyler Oakley, Joey Graceffa, and Hannah Hart who proudly flaunted their sexual orientation. Even in the environment I was working in, I would see that most of my peers had developed an acceptance of homosexuality. More and more lesbian couples emerged within my school, people started developing their own “girl crushes”, and I would hear more frequent discussions on homosexuality. With all this considered, I started to question my own sexuality too.
Long story short, these events led me to having my first relationship with a girl and for some strange reason, my parents found out about it. This leads us to my mom accusing me of destroying the family. It boggled me at that time to think that my self-exploration was destructive to my family - that my own efforts in trying to figure out who I really am were in fact detrimental to my own family, whom I love and care for.
This experience still brings numerous questions to my mind today. It makes me question if it really was a conscious decision for me to identify as a cis-gendered female or if this was simply brought about by my fear of losing my family. I am certain that there is no greater love I possess than my love for my family. Did this, then, get in the way of me truly knowing myself? Of me truly discovering who I was at my core? This internal struggle I’m experiencing further stresses how my parents have become identity agents in my life. Identity agents are defined as individuals who participate in the formation of a youth’s identity. Through the entire process of trying to make sense of this new relationship I was in, it became even more evident to me how my parents were my identity agents. Upon learning that I had expressed my attraction towards the same sex, my parents could simply have let it slide. They could have let it go. However, they didn’t. They saw this new development as a threat to my overall identity. When I would ask them to explain to me why they expressed so much disdain, they would bring up issues on religion – saying that what I was doing was a grave sin against the Lord.
Ever since I was little, my parents have instilled in us this appreciation for religion. We would go to mass as often as we can and not simply reach the bare minimum of attending mass every Sunday. My father would force us to go through the sacrament of confession every month, even if we didn’t want to. From these instances alone, I see that my parents want me to grow up to be a religious person – swearing by the Bible and its teachings. Part of the identity they were forming for me was a Roman Catholic girl who would do anything for and by the church. I would say that I still aim somewhat religious and I still actively practice my religion. However, when I realized that the church was hindering my self-discovery, I started to question this. I started to ask, “How would such a religious and ‘holy’ institution shun me for simply expressing my love for someone?” I knew that I was doing nobody harm by being with my significant other at the time. I was simply acting on whatever feelings I had possessed. So, what is my sin? Here, I was faced with individuation.
Individuation is an important milestone in the development of adolescents. Individuals slowly let go of their strong attachments to the teachings of those perceived to be above them, like my parents or the church, and they start to see value in the formation of their own opinions and criticisms. My own assessment of the situation, especially with how my parents introduced me to the church, has led me to be more knowledgeable today. Without undergoing this event in my life, I would probably not question the church and its functions. Now, however, I do see that even the church system is flawed. That even issues like capitalism and corruption can penetrate such a holy organization. Going back, the way I was at the brink of losing my privilege to be worthy of love and acceptance simply because I chose to love someone of the same sex allowed me to question my parents and the church.
It is important to note, however, that although individuation is necessary, it can still be destructive if not carried out properly. There is a way to have healthy individuation in relationships – which I also realized at that time. Individuation does not end with concepts of rebellion or individuality alone, it must be paired with connectedness for it to be helpful in the growth of an individual. In my case, although I did question my parents, I did see their point. Aside from religious concerns, my parents also brought up some other issues on my young age, my limited environment, and “trends” and this allowed me to also question if my feelings were valid. Of course, I still asserted my own views, however, I still saw the value in respecting their side of the story. This consideration of their ideas against my sexual orientation helped me further assess myself. I now identify as straight, however, this does not invalidate the fact that I did feel what I felt and that I used to be bisexual. Although I identify differently now, I always go back to my experience as someone who was bisexual and I have used this to further understand the sentiments and struggles of other people.
Along with the words my parents had against me having a different sexual orientation were questions. “Hindi ka naman tomboy, bakit ka ganyan?” another interesting phrase I heard from them was, “Diba crush mo si James Reid? Paano nangyari ‘to?” I realized that gender stereotypes are not limited to just male or female stereotypes. Even with the members of the LGBT community, there are stereotypes that hinder them from expressing themselves freely. Just because I did not act, dress, or look like a boy, my parents immediately put the possibility of me being anything other than straight out of the picture. I am also, admittedly, a very “kikay” person who was fond of things normally perceived as girly. However, this should not limit me as someone who would be straight.
Another popular example that shows this was how Pia Wurtzbach stated, in an interview, that she would love for her son to be gay so that he could do her hair and make-up. Moreover, Moira de la Torre’s song entitled “Titibo-tibo” talked about how the persona in the song acted like a boy and this was immediately associated with the term “tibo”. As someone who did not fall under a certain stereotype as bisexual, it was hard for me to fully express myself as such. I knew that because I did not fall under certain physical qualifications, I may be questioned on my sexual orientation – and this is exactly what happened with my parents. It is important, then, to educate people to be more accepting to allow for authenticity to prevail.
Additionally, I believe that the propagation of social media and the internet has allowed for these stereotypes to dominate certain cultures. Although social media is a great platform for educating oneself on our modern world, we must also be careful to filter out the things we see. For example, my parents are also increasing their personal usage of social media. With this, they are exposed to even more members of the LGBT community and have learned more on this topic. However, instead of teaching them to be more accepting, certain portrayals of the LGBT community online have led them to further stereotype people and to box them within certain definitions. My mom, for example, is very fond of humorous gay comedians online and is fond of watching videos on Facebook of gay individuals dancing, doing splits, and doing death drops. However, this has limited her to seeing gay men as just feminine, when in fact, there are gay men who do not possess feminine qualities.
Although it is true that social networks have brought about various platforms for people to express themselves, it will only be effective if we educate ourselves as much as we can, and this includes going beyond what is said online and experiencing the real world. I have realized that the beauty about gender expression and identity is that it can never be put into a single definition. We live in a day and age where people are realizing more and more about themselves and are not afraid to break away from the definitions set by society. Similarly, I have undergone this entire process of discovering myself and building my identity. I know that there are some people who do not believe that sexual orientations can change, but I’ll be proud to tell them that that is not the case. Here, we go back to the importance of connectedness in healthy individuation. This calls for us to not end with critiquing and questioning things, but with creating healthy discourse and listening to multiple sides before arriving to a conclusion. Hopefully, more and more people can engage in these kinds of conversations for us to be able to build a healthy and accepting world.

Quick Introduction to Online Earning Concept
In this article you will learn all possible ways of making money online or you can say "How to earn money online".
Listen, if you really want to earn online, you need to have patience and some skills or in other words you can only earn money online if you have some skills or knowledge about this field.
But wait doesn't be sad, the good part of this digital world is you can learn everything at your home in just a few days. The only thing that you need to focus on is to be expert in a particular field. And if you are an expert, there are infinite ways of earning money online is present. You just need to figure it out and work on it.
Before you see the list of methods, firstly you should know about how it works. According to me, there is a flow Audience >Trust > Marketing or some time it's like Solution > Showcase > Audiences > Marketing but the common thing in both is the audience so If you can have an audience which indirectly means you can have a lot of money. All you need is to convert that random audience in the trusted audience and to do that you need to provide some catchy things in which your audience is interested in.
There is a phrase in Hindi "Paisa to road pe gira hai, uthane ka tareeka chahiye" which means "A lot of money is on the road, you need a proper method to grab it up".
So finally Let's talk about all possible ways of Earning Money Online
1. Blogging
Yeah, I know many of you are familiar with this word blogging but for those who do not know, let me explain it.
Blogging is a discussion or providing information & tools or reviewing product and services etc. The most interesting thing about blogging is, you are fully independent to write on any topic in anyways you want. You just have to care about your audience.
So to start blogging you need a blog website and a particular niche (a theme or topic). I know many of you are now thinking "Since I don't know how to make a website, I can't use blogging to earn money online", then you are wrong. You don't need to be a professional website developer to create a blog you just need to know about some third-party services which will help you to create your blog website and start blogging. The main two are
Tumblr media
WordPress (Recommended) [Learn More]
Blogger by Google [Learn More]
Ok, So what's next when our website is ready?
Tumblr media
Choose a niche (i.e. Topic)Yes, It's necessary to do research before starting a blog website because there is so much competition in every field. So choose a less competitive topic in which you have enough knowledge. Then you have to write a high-quality engaging blog post that impresses your audience and Google.
"What, why to impress google?" Fine, the answer is, so that google can do a favour to your website and rank it on its first page. Because, when your website will rank on the first page only then you can get an organic and real audience and I have mentioned earlier that you need an audience to earn money. Then you need some content marketing services that will pay you for your audiences, and there are many like that. You can use Affiliate Network on your blog to monetize it.
Ok but just tell me one thing,
How much I can Earn Money Online by Blogging?
There is no limit. Seriously I am not joking, you can earn as much as you want but you need to be a perfect player of this particular field in which SEO plays a very important role. 10. Launching Software as a Service (SAAS)
This is a very professional way of earning money online and need a good amount of money investment.
Let me first introduce, What is actually Software as a Service?
Tumblr media
Software as a Service or SaaS is a service depending upon your idea like if you want a website to count live subscribers of a YouTube channel and user have to buy your plans to use it then your website will be a SaaS. Similarly, there are many SaaS companies that provide different type of services to their user.
What is Required to make a SaaS?
The first and most important thing that really matters for a SaaS to be successful is having a great working Idea. If you have a solid idea and you believe that your service is unique or customer will love to buy your service then you are ready to go for the second step is searching for an investor because SaaS is not only a website it is a full custom platform which needs good money and time to develop.
Now the third step is to make a flow chart of your idea i.e. service and search for a good developer or a company and heir them for your work after telling them about your project. Then you are ready to serve your customer after your SaaS website is ready.
Conclusion
After discussing all these methods to earn money online, I want you to choose your favorite one in which you feel passionate of doing it. I mostly prefer blogging and affiliate marketing for earning money online since it is not tough and Creative.

WTF is happening?
Living in times like these really bring so many emotions-anger, sadness, disappointment, among many others. It’s so overwhelming that I do not know how to thread the right words to describe or discuss the recent events in our society. All I know is, our world is in shambles right now. Yes, we are  in the middle of a pandemic, yet  this fight is not just about the corona virus alone. The real ills in our society  are also being brought to light as it continues to be omnipresent-racism, injustice, greed fascism, among many others. Unfortunately, unnecessary sacrifices are being made and lives are being lost in vain. At a time where we must all help each other and come together, our voices are being shunned. The higher-ups blame the people for their own incompetence and shortcomings and prioritize their self-interest. Privileged people fail to use the opportunities given to them and turn a blind eye instead of being empathic to the calls of our brothers and sisters.
I suddenly remember, in our Community Development class (CD 11), we were taught that the marginalized can only liberate themselves if they realize that they deserve better and they must break free from the shackles of “ito lang kami, mahirap lang kami”. Indeed, they have to realize  themselves that they can be more and they can live a better life. However, this will not be possible if those in power and those privileged enough do not help them attain the freedom that they should have as people in the first place; the freedom to choose for themselves and the freedom to be given opportunities as anyone else. I just want everyone to understand that indolence is not the cause of poverty, rather, the lack of access and opportunities. Farmers work so damn hard in order for us to have food on our table, but do they even have as much food as we do? As one line in Hello, Love, Goodbye encapsulates it, “Ang choice, para lang sa may pera”. Nevertheless, it does not mean we cannot do anything about it. Actually, it’s the opposite. We all know that one way or another, we can make a small difference and this starts by acknowledging our privilege.
In acknowledging our privilege, we realize that there’s so much happening around us, albeit we may not be directly affected by it. The Black Lives Matter movement just proves that racism still propagates to people of color, especially to our black bothers and sisters. Yes, no skin color should be superior. However, I just also want to reiterate the fact that the movement does not mean that one race matters more but it signifies the need for this race TO MATTER, (as all races should) because they have been oppressed for so long. Saying that all lives matter at this point in time is toxic because, as one analogy puts it, when one friend gets a cut in the arm, one does not give a bandage to everyone in the room. You only give it to the person who needs it. Another example to further elaborate this is that if one house gets burned, you do not water every house that you come across. Case in point, the movement just tells us that right now, we must take a stand for and stand with the black community and use our voices for them and with them.
Our voices. Our voices that continue to fight fascism and tyranny. It is our voices that gave power to win over countless dictators and gain back our rights. It is our very voices that threatens those in position because in one snap, we can also remove them from their seats. Our voices bring us together, and that togetherness make us realize that the power of a state, country, or nation, always lies within its people. Governments or those elected do not own the place they rule, indeed, it is the people who own the kingdom. They do not own us, but they have the responsibility to address our needs, because that is why we place them there in the first place.  Therefore, they do not have any excuse to be incompetent and they do not have the right to label the people of the country they serve as terrorists if dissents arise. Above all, we must use not hesitate to use our own voice for our own country and fellow countrymen.  I have read in a post that dissenting does not mean we want the government to fail, it means we are concerned enough to say that there is something wrong and we recognize that it should be rectified. Addressing the problems in our country is actually what their job entails them to do and the bare minimum required from them. Last time I checked, it’s public service and not self-service right? During this pandemic too, a media giant- a huge (or sole) source of information especially to those in far-flung areas, was shut down quickly. What’s frustrating is that there has been slow progress to  renew its franchise. Selective freedom (of speech) is not absolute freedom (of speech). Yet, a terror bill just so happened to be approved in just one abrakadabra. Politicians turned magicians.  How (un)convenient, right? This bill violates our freedom of speech, which magically also violates not just our constitution, but our basic human rights ta-da! In this bill, it is not the act of terrorism that sends you in jail, but rather the intention ( thanks for the explanation sir Neri!) of using your voice and platform to take a stand against the incompetencies of the majority of our so-called leaders. How nice it must be that the word terrorism is defined vaguely in the bill. You might be one, I might be one. See you behind bars, I guess? But on a more serious note, we are all affected by every move our government makes, so why must our criticisms, being the very people of this country, be ceased? Instead of prioritizing mass testing and other relevant efforts to put an end to the virus, they just really want to test our patience and hinder our rights to demand accountability and competence :). The magic show will soon be over, as all shows come to a curtain close. We will make sure of it. Your audience are sick and tired of your hokus pokus.
We can all relate to the fact that our naive and more sheltered selves were always taught to look at the brighter side and just pray because everything will be better soon. I do not intend to dismiss the power of prayer, but how can these people who claim to be religious and prayerful stomach seeking refuge to the Lord if they support and condone those who enable extrajudicial killings and injustice as a whole?  Having a positive mindset is indeed essential for our sanity, but in these trying times, taking the situation as it is and being critical are also important. We have to draw the line between positivity and toxic positivity. We were blessed with this life to make the most out of it by loving our neighbor as we love ourself. So, we must not let ourselves be trapped in our own bubble, especially our bubble reeking of privilege, but seek ways to understand people’s circumstances and help make other people’s lives meaningful as well. Furthermore, it is embedded in our culture that we must  respect our elders due to their wisdom and experience. However, wisdom and maturity does not always come with age. Therefore, at any rate, we must not forget that educating oneself and others, being open-minded yet critical, staying aware, and being involved are our basic duties as inhabitants of this country that have no age limit.
Now is not the time to be apolitical, because as they say, staying silent is advantageous only to the oppressor and does help bring justice to the oppressed at all.
Tama na ang palabas na ito. Hindi “for entertainment purposes only” ang mga desisyon para sa bansa. Totoong buhay ito at lahat ng tao ay apektado. We are doing our part, please step up and do yours or else kiss your political career goodbye. Wika nga ni Amor Powers, “Matitikman niyo ang batas ng api!”.

against all odds
This will surely be a very long post. This post is about my experience during my board review, during those six months of survival with the books and reviewers (+ tips and techniques, I guess).
At first, even before my graduation, I already had review thoughts filling my head. Where to review? When? How? Manila was my first choice as a place to review though. Kasi nandoon yung main review center. Pero I preferred a place where it’s peaceful, the ambiance is cool, conducive to study and where my dad frequently travels--So, Davao it was. Almost an hour flight to my beloved hometown, and the place felt just like home.
I flew to Davao for my pre-review period. I needed to get away from distractions. But before that, some people asked me why do I have to leave so early, why do I have to go that month--I mean, what was wrong from leaving my comfort zone? What’s wrong with deciding to go? What was wrong with my decision?
“Mabaya lang siguro dih kautusan ha bay nila.”
“Dih siya marae mabayah pagdaakun.”
Those were just mere examples of their irritating comments. Funny, isn’t it? It only made me believed in myself. There were no regrets of flying to a newfound place that will serve as your temporary home. Not at all. I was even relieved because I can finally study and review well for the board exam.
Started with the hardest modules--Biochemistry and Pharmacognosy. I brought all my resources with me and thank God, because of such I managed to understand and made notes for my own comfort and ease. I wasted no time from the sayings of other people, I really didn’t care. They won’t be the ones taking the exam, so I just killed them with silence.
tips #0:
set a mindset, refresh your mind and be prepared.
It doesn’t take too much of your time and doesn’t take any less of your effort to have a mindset or goal such as “I WILL TOP THE BOARD EXAM.” “I AM GOING TO BE THE TOPNOTCHER.” “I WILL ACE THE EXAM” “FOR MY FAMILY, KAYA KO TO” because these positive thoughts will always be likely in your favor when the time comes. When everything is going downhill, when everything is difficult, these are your pillars of strength. Kasi you will double all your effort, you will do everything, and you will not just settle for anything less. Remember, having a strong mindset (tho at times you think it’s impossible to claim, but with God, it’s possible) will make you strong as well.
Be prepared with what comes with every decision you take, and in every step of the way. Review is not easy, yung four years nga sa college, mahirap na, what more sa review? Concise and a lot of information is squeezed into your brain in a short span of time. You have to be prepared in embracing the stress that comes with it, the unheard cries you make in the bathroom, the roller coaster of emotions, the weariness and tiredness every study period, and the sleepless and coffee-filled nights.
I really tried to be emotionally stable kahit physically tired ka na pero it was really no use. Mahirap to be THAT emotionally stable especially when you’re away from your parents and family and away from the foods you long to eat, pero you have to sacrifice. For that three letter word. I never let go of my spiritual bond with God cause I know on that day, no one will help me except Him. Even during my study breaks, talagang nafefeel ko na yung pagod. Those 10 minutes break was a lot quicker than I ever imagined. Nakakasuka na yung sinasabi nilang, “repetition is the key.” but never let go of that tip. Ironic. Bahala nang masuka, basta di susuko.
After that module, module 4 followed. I studied that for a month pero parang wala rin naretain (meron naman pero kaunti lang). Still Alhamdulillah.
tip #1:
choose a review center of your liking.
Sabi nila, di naman raw sa review center yung problema, nasa studyante yan, nasa disiplina ng student kung paano sya magrereview nang maayos. Yes, I couldn’t agree more with that. But I couldn’t disagree more na wala naman sa review center yung problema. Review centers have its own shortcomings and hidden disadvantages. They help you grow or help you wither. Either of the two, if you see it that way. Pick wisely. These centers mold you and set the atmosphere of your review. Imagine a center that don’t follow your suit. Medyo slow yung teaching method. Medyo fast paced ba. Puro sulat sa board. Puro presentation. Ikaw? Which complements your study methods, doon ka pumasok. I really recommend to enroll in a review center (+ 80% knowledge).
 tip #2:
make flashcards, make colorful notes, enjoy reviewing
These tools will help you all throughout the duration of your review. These will ease a bit of the difficulty you will be experiencing. Colorful notes will help you remember information and enjoy the rainbow colors popping out of your papers. It somewhat helps me calm down especially if it’s color-coded kasi you will feel na you’re playing with notes na parang hindi naman. No one takes away the creativity in you so let it flow.
tip #3:
be patient and learn as you go (never let any information passes you unnoticed)
Of course, expect that you wouldn’t absorb all the things you will be learning in one sitting, or in one study period, or in one discussion. We aren’t robots. Be patient with yourself. Be patient with the things around you (kasi nagiging sensitive tayo sa mga maliliit na bagay because of stress). Be patient with the information you will be learning kahit sabihin nating “parang di naman lalabas to sa boards”. Malayo pa ang umaga, take each step as you go. This isn’t a race of win or lose. This is a race of win and learn.
I wouldn’t deny that during my pre-review, I wasted some time din pero di naman yung grabe. We are just humans, we become lazy when we want to. Haha. I wasted one to two days for my breaks, a reward for disciplining myself. This is for our own good naman. At the end of the day, it is us who will be enjoying the fruits we sowed.
tip #4:
don’t be discouraged when everything doesn’t go as planned
At this point, you might question yourself. What went wrong? No. Nothing went wrong. You just have to believed in Him and trust in His plans. Some things are out of our hands anymore and beyond our capabilities to mend. We need Him and let Him do the work, just pray hard. Never ever give up because again remember your mindset and your motivation to leap forward.
tip #5:
make study schedules, follow it by heart
Study schedule is always helpful though at times lazy to follow. Take it from me. But at least, you are organized. Kahit di mo nafollow nang maayos, at least you tried. Once you are organized, everything will fall into place. It’s up to you what to study first--hardest to easiest or easiest to hardest. No one will judge you. This schedule will make you feel accomplished if you follow it. There is a sense of achievement especially when you finished the subjects in your sched.
tip #6:
study concepts by heart, don’t memorize questions and its answer (know when to memorize them)
When we are in a hurry, we tend to just memorize everything. Memorizing is only required for terms such as classifications, enumerations and the like. This isn’t applicable to everything. In board exams, analysis and familiarization are the keys to unlocking your license. And even acing it. Once you study the concepts by heart, it’s easy for you to comprehend the questions no matter how difficult it was formulated. Wink! During final coachings and preboard examinations, study them as well. The questions are outright formulated from previous examinations but is assured to be repeated again in the future examination, though not a hundred percent of it.
If you love your profession and your role in that field, it will be easy for you to claim that license. As long as you do not stop, you are never a failure. As long as you do not quit, you are never a loser. As long as you keep on pushing beyond your limits (and remembering you are human at the same time), you will succeed. Hold on to God’s promises and His strength. You are never alone in this journey. Your fight is His fight too.
May God bless you, whoever will be reading this and undergoing any future examinations, and may He bless the works of your hands.
Stay humble and hustle hard.

ACOWAR - Real Talk (SPOILERS)
I don’t like using a cut but this is a long post, so I’ll use it just this once.
Everything aside, how I feel about ships, how I feel about characters, how I feel about everything, these are my thoughts.
The diversity was so much better than in ACOTAR and ACOMAF. I went into this book afraid of so many things, of so many outcomes, of so many horrors, but...I was very pleasantly surprised. I could tell Sarah tried and honestly? Thank you. Thank you for trying, even all these years later, thank you for giving me this book.
Thank you for giving me a bisexual black character.
Thank you for giving me a black character in a position of power that wasn’t demonized (Yes. That happens)
Thank you for giving me a gay brown man (I’m not sure on Thesan’s race/ethnicity 100% and I want to do research but I think he’s Hindi).
It’s not only Helion, Tarquin, and Thesan. It’s their entire Courts. Before ACOWAR, it was theories, rumors, fan casts, but now, it’s canon. It’s canon that three Courts are entirely people of color and even Kallias’s court, the WINTER COURT, has Fae of brown skin.
It’s also canon that ALL THE ILLYRIANS are brown. Every last one of them, every last one. (There are a lot of thoughts on this, but this is not the time)
And a lot more people had brown skin! Like...almost everyone. I couldn’t even tell you how many times I cried, when all these characters...started to look like me. And thats the best way I can describe it; this euphoria, this moment where everything just stands still....and you cry.
SARAH ONLY USED TAN LIKE THREE TIMES. That’s a blessing in itself.
AND SHE NEVER USED FOOD TO DESCRIBE US OH BOY. That was probably what I was most afraid of? Reading about Helion being “dark-chocolate” or Thesan being “caramel”. Even worse, someone thinking of them like food. It’s like...fetishizing us and its icky (unless you allow someone to call you a food nickname, which is a whole different thing). But she didn’t! She just used brown...deep brown, rich brown, etc. and I liked it. (She did use honey-brown, but I was okay with that). She also didn’t use the word exotic...bless.
And she tried when it came to lgbt+ rep. As a straight person I obviously can’t say what needs to be said, but I can say what I thought. No, Nephelle nor Thesan’s lovers got names, but it was obvious that they were gay. I love how Helion, A BISEXUAL MAN, was never portrayed as a slut? He was never slut shamed? Yes, he wanted three/foursomes, but no one ever slut shamed him for it. No one ever looked down at him for liking both genders? Helion was forward with his attraction to Mor, Cassian, Azriel, Rhys, Feyre, AND THESAN. (The man has incredible taste)
I...liked Mor’s coming out story? Obviously there are things that....aren’t perfect. But I wasn’t really looking for perfect and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Probably one thing about it is I’m just sad Mor doesn’t feel like the Inner Circle won’t judge her, even when they don’t blink an eye at Thesan or Helion or Nephelle. So I hope a novella is about her, or she’s in the next series. Also the whole “me coming out would make Azriel sad” ??? 2+2=honey its your life who cares who it makes sad; just be happy.
But I’ll leave that topic for people of the lgbt+ community to dissect and discuss.
Character wise...I don’t think anyone was really, completely OOC? I think there were moments where I was staring at the character like... “Okay who are you and what have you done with so and so?” (spoiler alert, it was Rhys)
Mor hating Nesta? I don’t like Nesta, but that was a bit harsh. I think you guys were robbed of that friendship. I can see how Mor was protecting her friend, her brother, Cassian, who she’s known for centuries, against this person she’s just met but....it wasn’t really Mor-like. Especially since it came off as jealousy.
What Rhys did to Mor...was one of the most unforgivable things. I understand we’re at war, I do, but there is a line you have to draw for yourself. There is a line and bringing both of your cousin’s abusers into the same room, THAT’S THE LINE. Rhys and Azriel both betrayed Mor’s trust. And then took her safe place away from her.
And then she had to work BESIDE Keir and Eris, no longer in control, no longer in power. I just...I’m still....not comfortable at all with this. Lines need to be drawn so stuff like THIS doesn’t happen. I don’t see Rhys forcing Feyre to work with Tamlin...and yet....he brings Eris and Keir right in front of Mor? And then kind of belittles and judges for being triggered? Next (and not entirely forgiven)
Nessian and Elriel. I don’t ship them, but I feel like you guys were robbed.
Maybe it’s because I don’t ship them, but I don’t really see the set up for Elriel? I see them as the best team of besties ever. I see Elain as another sister to Azriel, someone who maybe can get past more barriers because he doesn’t like her like that. And as for Elain...guys let her breathe for a second. She’s still healing over Greyson, or whatever that miserable boy’s name is, and she still has to navigate a mating bond. I think they would be amazing best friends, because guys and girls can be best friends without them being related, but if you guys ship it....I can see it. That’s all I’m going to say.
I think you guys were cheated out of Nessian. But I don’t think you guys were cheated at all....? I don’t like Nesta, but I can appreciate a character healing. I can appreciate a character who, as the fandom says, feels too much. I can appreciate Nesta’s PTSD and recognize it. But please, recognize Cassian’s PTSD, too, thanks? He almost died too; he almost lost his wings. And that’s why neither of them have thrown each other at the other. I think it’s very obvious they have some feelings...in a slow burn kind of way. And I think this slow burn could be really good so I’m really happy for Nessian shippers.
And I don’t think Cassian was OOC. Everyone recognizes Azriel and his self-doubt, especially Moriel shippers. The main thing about Azriel and his mental block is that he think he doesn’t deserve to be loved. And I think Cassian feels that way, too, especially after failing to protect Nesta after he swore he would.
He was willing to die to try to regain some of that honor and her trust. He almost did. Like....Twice! Yes, Nesta saw her father die, but....I think it’s reaching it to say it was OOC for Cassian not to go to her. He has his own internal struggle and Feyre herself said that they needed to give Nesta space. Sometimes going to a person right away....it’s not the best call.
Jurian and Eris? No? Like I’m fine with Jurian...I can believe he was never the villain of their story. I can believe he has his own traumas and mental illness(es) and PTSD. Mostly because no matter how hard I try I can never remember what went down between Miryam, Drakon, and Jurian. I can barely remember how to spell their names.
But Eris? No. Just...him being the “not the villain but also not the bad guy in the story, more like the anti-hero”, I wasn’t buying it. It came out of nowhere and it erases Mor’s trauma and Lucien’s. Eris didn’t deserve that little bit of ‘redemption’ he got, but Tarquin deserved more page time. So can I like...trade the two?
No?? Female?? Illyrians?? My heart still hasn't recovered.
No one died? I’m not complaining, but I was sure Amren was going to die.
There are so many winged creatures now I already forgot half of them. We have the Seraphim who I was already expecting to have feathered wings. We have the Peregryms...which reminds me of Miss Peregrine every time I look at it. We have whatever the FRESH HELL HELION TURNED INTO OH BOY I HAD A HEART ATTACK. Helion’s beast form would have me running for the hills.
We have the “villains” who turned into “anti-heros”? I was more upset over the Carver and Weaver’s deaths more than anything in this book. Because their characters are always better. They only showed up to that battle to eat people, terrorize Fae, and get something out of it. The best™ kind. And then they....died. The Weaver’s death was so anti-climatic she deserved better. And Bryaxis YEETED so quick. Did we really think It would go back to that library?
THE SURIEL. RIP Suri. You will be missed. The one death the entire fandom will never be over.
Lucien. His trauma...wasn’t addressed at all. And I could let it slide...but there was time to address it. There was time before Lucien left the book to go find Vassa to address his trauma. For the love of god, Feyre saw what Ianthe almost did to him, she saw what Tamlin almost did to him...but Lucien ended up apologizing and being treated...horribly? Fix this. Immediately. Fox Boy deserved better.
Lucien suddenly being biracial. I’m not going to complain, at all, because Biracial!Lucien gave me new life, it resurrected me on the cross. But...Lucien looked exactly like Beron in ACOTAR and ACOMAF. It was just pushed so hard, that “Lucien has dark skin now”, that is was pretty obvious Helion was his father (especially when the book was suddenly screaming at us that Helion was Helion SPELL-CLEAVER).
Tamlin...Just...Can everyone just ship a bottle of aspirin to me? If you all do it, I’m pretty sure it’ll be enough to take my headache away. Hopefully. Maybe two bottles from all of you, just to be sure.
I also felt like there was a different writer at some points? And the story kind of dragged in areas? Did anyone else feel that way?
That’s pretty much it. There was so much more than I could go deeper into, but I think this is just a nice over view. If you want my thoughts on anything, feel free to use my inbox.

Hackney Umpires v Islington Lions Sunday 9th September 2018 Wray Crescent
A man decides after seventy years
That what he goes to Wray for, is to unlock the door
While those around him criticize and sleep
And through a fractal on a breaking wall
I see you my friend, and touch your face again
Miracles will happen as we play
© Seal 1990 (sort of anyway)
Fixtures-wise it’s been a bit of a headache this year. Given we only play twice a month, a couple of cancellations meant the Umpires had not taken the field since beating Kent Ramblas in West Wickham at the beginning of July. (This is of course to overlook our participation in the annual London Fields 6s tournament, and let’s be honest, that was another pretty forgettable performance in a short-form cricket tournament.  If ‘performance’ is not too strong a word).
So yes, two whole months since we took to the field.  You had to wonder how rusty we’d be.  One thing was for sure though, we wouldn’t be as rusty as the Wray Crescent park-keeper’s mower, which, judging by the length of the grass on the outfield, had also not seen the light of day for some considerable time.  In fact, the only grass that had been harvested at Wray was being consumed by the footballers who reluctantly vacated the playing surface to enjoy a bit of heckling from the side.  Ah Wray Crescent, it was ever thus.
Despite the rudimentary facilities there was a lot at stake: Hackney v Islington, a north London derby if you will.  This being a hurriedly arranged replacement fixture, the Islington Lions were a complete unknown.  Would we be savagely mauled? Could we tame the mighty King of the Jungle?
Come to mention it, why is the lion called the king of jungle when it lives out on the savannah? Hmm, good question my friend, and as you ask: jungle is a word in Hindi meaning ‘not an inhabited place’, or a wilderness.  With England playing India at the Oval a little bit of Hindi seems appropriate, and what more wilderness could one possibly need than Wray Crescent?
The skipper wins another toss and opts to bat first.  Anthony and Simon march out purposefully.  Simon’s orange bandana protecting his urdu from his batting helmet (OK I’ll stop with that now).
We take a collective deep breath as the opening bowler runs in….and then relax: our openers are looking good, comfortably stopping the occasional straight one while getting full value from anything loose.
Simon in particular looks like he could fill his boots, while Anthony though scoring well, was struggling with a leg injury and survives a couple of half-chances, one of which was probably a three-quarters-chance, before Manny makes an early appearance for the day as umpire, raising the finger of doom in response to a strong LBW appeal.  With Anthony gone for 25, Kieran joins Simon and they press relentlessly on.  After 10 overs we are 99-1 and the Lions go very quiet in the field.  Little do they know how thin our batting line up is: with Harry stuck on a Ryan Air flight and David otherwise detained, chief archivist MK O’Brien is in next at a vertiginous 4 and the rest of the middle order is not exactly famed for run-scoring.
Simon takes up the pipe and slippers of retirement in the 12th over having reached the pre-agreed limit of 50, but at drinks, halfway through our 30 overs, Hackney are a healthy 136-1 and Islington seem less a pride and more an embarrassment of Lions. The only star performer for the opposition thus far has been Brenda, who made a couple of brave stops and was particularly impressive at leaping over the fence to retrieve the ball.
Kieran blasts a couple of mighty 6s after drinks and retires.  The opposition by now have turned to the more eclectic of their bowling options.  One end sees Henn with the archetypal spasmodically-jerking octopus-falling-from-a-tree off a three-step “run” in.  At the other it’s less frog-in-a-blender and more Brenda in a fog, that fog being primarily a cloud of uncertainty about the legality of her action.  But any danger, such as it is, is primarily to pride and Billy has to suck that up, bowled by the rightly-feared double-bouncing straight one. A few overs later the Archivist contrives to pick out a fielder with a mow to mid-wicket and while the run rate remains healthy at 182-3 we have 8 overs left and a collapse now would see us in trouble.
David in at 6, is joined by Manny.  And this seems like a good point to delve into the archives and peruse their respective batting statistics.  I’m sure they won’t mind.  Well they might, but what the hell I say.
Before today David had batted 11 times scoring 171 with an average of 10.90. Meanwhile in 24 appearances Manny had batted 14 times scoring 56 runs at an average of 6.38, his top score of 18 for the Umpires coming in his first ever innings against the fearsome GB Strikers, mainly, if memory serves, comprised of edges down to third man.
So, let’s face it, about as much pedigree as a tin of dog food.
After a couple of nervy looking singles they convene between overs in the middle.  Standing behind the stumps umpiring it was hard to hear exactly what was being discussed.  But I fancy Manny was saying something like:
We’re never gonna survive, unless:
We get a little crazy
No, we’re never gonna survive, unless:
We get a little cra-eyah-eyah-eyah-zy
What followed was one of the most joyous, exuberant and exciting passages of play that I have witnessed for the Hackney Umpires.  This was, genuinely, batting that would empty the bars, if of course the pavilion at Wray Crescent was able to stretch to a bar, or indeed Wray Crescent was able to stretch to a pavilion that had not been condemned as a dangerous structure.
I know what you’re thinking. When I suggest this was ‘empty-the-bar batting’ it’s as in the bouncers at Clapham Infernos dragging you off with your trousers round your ankles because you’ve just vomited Jaeger Bomb residue down your Ben Sherman shirt.  This might ring a few bells with those who have seen Manny’s batting over the years, but you couldn’t be more wrong: this was an innings to stir the emotions with no little skill and heart along the way.  Yes, there were the odd ugly swipes here and there, what night at Clapham Infernos doesn’t have that? But there were times on that Wray Crescent dancefloor when Manny’s footwork shone as brightly as any batting the Umpires have seen.  The ramp played it’s part, of course it did: the feint to leg, the switch of grip, the ball sailing down to fine leg. But it wasn’t just the unorthodox.  There were at least two beautifully straight (lofted yes, but that was only to get over the top of the grass) full-bloodied drives, middled and timed to absolute perfection.
At the other end David played his supporting role with no less skill and selflessness.  In pursuit of the maximum team score either could have tried to farm the strike to get to 50 or indeed held back on the running between the wickets to avoid being out.  But no, with wickets in hand, this was positive batting for the team cause.  Manny’s 44 not out takes him to exactly 100 career runs for the Umpires and a new improved average of 11.88.  David’s unbeaten 41 gets him to an average of 15.00.  And in 8 overs between them they hit 78 runs including 12 fours seeing us to a breathless 260-3, matching our highest total achieved in our last innings against Kent Ramblas in 5 fewer overs.  Pick the bones out of that Lions.
What is the saying about a cornered lion though? Or is a tiger?  Some kind of big cat anyway right?  Although the outfield is slow, the boundaries are short and in village cricket, even urban-village cricket, it only takes one stout yeoman to get his eye in, the ball disappearing to all corners and the wheels can come off pretty fast.
Our youthful opening bowling pair: Billy and, new recruit Michael Brown, have the Islington openers hopping around from the start of their reply.  Michael was very unlucky, several times finding the inside edge.  Billy strikes in the 7th over, getting some bounce, nipping the glove, and a good take by stand-in keeper Simon.  Manny meanwhile can’t stay out of the game with some excellent fielding, and he then bowls the other opener.  Somehow the Lions keep going and make it to drinks without further losses, and at the final interval the game remains alive with Islington 120-2 and wickets in reserve.
The run rate though was creeping ominously up to over 9 an over. So there’s pressure on the batting side.  David Dawkins takes the first over after drinks: it’s a maiden and the run rate is now exactly 10.  Brilliant bowling by David, which gets its reward the very first ball of the next over, as slow-left-arm snaffles their top scoring batsman for 47, caught in the slips by the ever reliable hands of Anthony.
And if we were favourites up to that point we dominated after that.  Any time Kieran only bowls 2 overs means we’ve either done very well or very badly.  There was some excellent fielding along the way from Michael and from Kannan, while Billy was fizzing the ball unerringly over the stumps from the deep.  We also had a few moments of high comedy, perhaps as we started to get a bit tired.
David takes a wicket in his final over and his 6 overs 1 for 24 in a high scoring game made a big difference.  Michael also returned for a second spell deservedly getting a wicket, Manny, inevitably, taking the catch. The opposition tail-enders seemed intent on playing out the overs, but this became a procession long before the end with Islington eventually 71 runs adrift on 189-6.
5 matches completed in 2018.  3 wins, a draw and a loss (and we should never ever have lost that one either).  With one fixture remaining this was a confidence-boosting victory against fun opposition.  With all due respect to the opposition (and I acknowledge starting a sentence ‘with all due respect’ is usually the precursor to the exact opposite) but with all due respect bla bla bla we made them look pretty rubbish at times, and occasionally they did it to themselves without our help.  We will need to up our game against London Fields on Sunday.
Despite his injury Anthony stuck it out and confidently steered us to a 5th victory in 11 games as skipper.  Michael had a great debut performing brilliantly in the field.  Kieran and Simon were way above anything Islington had to offer in terms of batting quality.  But the true performances of the day were David with bat and ball and Manny with just about everything he did, edging David out for the man of the match award.
HUCC 260-3 (S Griffin 51*; K Kumaria50*; M Hawks 44*; D Dawkins 41*)
Islington Lions 189-6 (M O’Brien 2/50; D Dawkins 1/24)
Hackney Umpires win by 71 runs.  Man of the match Manny 'Crazy' Hawks.
