Man it’s gross how many people went just like mask off racist about clawdeen being biracial in g3. Half the posts I see about “fixing” g3 include making clawdeen “Black again” or “mono racial” and idk I shouldn’t have to explain why that’s nasty. Nor should I have to explain why it’s weird when people say Venus is proof clawdeen could have been “Blacker,” whatever the hell that’s supposed to mean.
Examine your own internal biases. Really think about why clawdeen being “half werewolf” actually bothers you. Is it because you think she’s being watered down? That she’s “less Black” by being half Latina? Because I hate to have to be the one to break it to you, but afrolatina characters are not “less” Black.

I cannot get over how we've been theorizing for years what Belos' endgame could be, what his motivations are, plotting and thinking that maybe "he wants to go home", "maybe he just misses his brother", "something dramatic MUST have happened for him to be this way" and it turns out that no.
He's just racist. No, he just really likes killing people.
We kept waiting for the "cool motive, still murder" but it really is just murder. No thoughts, head empty.
And it works so well.
I don't know how to explain to my friends that "the bad guy is actually, really just that evil" is one of my favourite reveals of the show.

"... Fine. If you want to see a monster so bad..."
Tumblr media
"... I'll show you what a real monster looks like."
this was mostly me wanting to share the design for my Deltarune Monsterswap AU's monster Kris as they appear in the Dark World, but it also doubles as a little something else: a glimpse into one possible Weird Route. the Kris of this AU isn't bound to Player choice... and thus far less defenseless against their whims.
the question is: what does it take to make a good dog bite?

The fact that G3 CAN make black character deisgns..
And then made Clawdeen the most white washed version of herself is fucking evil actually.
You're telling me..Venus looks GOOD and actually looks black coded but the ONE(1) black character we had.
Is light skin, mixed, her personality is softer and more watered down and her original style is washed out??
Fuck you. Tf.
Clawdeen should've gotten the same treatment, but noooo let's make her mixed despite. Already have two latina(? Corrent term??) characters (Lagoona and Skellita) so..why couldn't Clawdeen be kept BLACK? Why did she need to be mixed for her to be the main character?? It's fucking gross and weird.

Something a bit different than my usual fare. I tea-dyed the cloth to look a bit more like the parchment texture in the Hunter's notebook.

I dont know if this was asked before but what do fairies and perhaps the firstborns think of their non fairy counterparts? Regular Skeleton monsters. How would their treat them?
Like eg. Instead of a human child wanders into the forest what about a skeleton child?
Or an adult skeleton?
The Big folk are not only just humans, but also regular monsters as well. While it is true that monsters hold much magic within themselves, this magic is in fact slightly different from fairy magic. They may be able to experience the magical world with much better ease than humans, but fairies are strange to them as well. They live by different rules; the kind that monsters know little about.
So, in short: The Big Folk include both humans and monsters, and if monsters are not careful around fairy territory, then they will be treated just the same as the humans.

Absolutely in love with the epic & ongoing bredlik project by @marvinhere over on the @renegadepublishing Discord. This is actually my second (third?) binding, the other one (two?) started back in February but currently languishing in WIP hell. Not quite the floppy, snuggly cow book I wanted/had in mind but it's a good start. Happy to have figured out a construction method for those legs I like & will improve upon next time.
This is volume 3, the poems wrangled and typeset by @marvinhere with illustrations by the mysterious Jenny (IG: thimblejuice). The Discord has been sharing every poem members come across as well as crafting some on the fly. The whole thing is a joyful project and in addition to Marvin's own binding (shared on Discord), @zhalfirin has bound two exquisite copies of it as well [1][2].
Am suuuuper psyched for the next volume currently in the works, so you can expect a herd of these babies at some point!

Something that is a brilliant bit in the Percy Jackson series is that the monsters all hide as middle to upper class white women. Echidna especially, and she was smiling and talking in a nice tone the entire time too. Really accurate and refreshing demonstration of how evil doesn't usually follow ableist and racist stereotypes.
