“Just because she’s independent and single doesn’t mean she’s a lesbian, you’re being stereotypical” shut the fuck up shut the fuck up SHUT THE FUCK UP.

As if every single female character doesn’t already have to be attracted to men and center men in their attraction. And now the second we headcanon a female character who doesn’t have a romantic relationship with men as a lesbian suddenly we’re the bad guys?

Lesbians get no representation ever but oh I get it, female characters are allowed to be strong and independent and not need a guy to be fulfilled and all of that crap you spew in the name of feminism, so long as they’re still attracted to guys that is.

God forbid a female character is actually independent from and fully de-centers men by not being attracted to them at all. God forbid lesbians have an ACTUAL CHARACTER to see themselves in to remind us that we are not “incomplete” for not liking men. But y’all don’t care about that, I already know. It’s not forcing independent girls to be lesbians and it’s not “stereotyping” you guys just see lesbian as a dirty word, and you see us as perverted, gross, forceful, man-haters, or less than women because your identity is wrapped up in liking men and you center them at every turn, straight women will always complain about female characters being lesbians with “why can’t she just be independent” meanwhile y’all exclude us from conversations with your endless jabber about boyfriends and crushes, lol fucking jokes.

The truth is lesbians are the embodiment of what womanhood looks like without the centering of men and that threatens y’all somehow, so the second a female character is seen as a lesbian you come out with the pitchforks screaming “nuh-uh, she’s STRAIGHT!” It’s not the “independence” that is the problem, you’re just mad and offended by female characters not being available to men or depending on them to find love and be happy, that’s the real problem that you pretend is the opposite.

And don’t pretend that you treat canonical lesbians any better either, because when we do get them you erase their sexuality by calling them straight or bi and writing fics about them being shipped with male characters they have no chemistry with(because they’re lesbians), or making them aroace(because if they can’t be into men then you’ll make sure they’re not into women either), you don’t give a shit fuck about independent women and even less of one about lesbians, you just see a woman not being attracted to men as not fulfilling their proper role as women because you still define womanhood as revolving around men even when they are “independent” and thus you need to “punish” them somehow.

So, disrespectfully, fuck off, and don’t come after us lesbians with our headcanons about characters as lesbians with “but but but can’t she be strong and independent without being a lesbian?! Can’t she still be straight!!! I can respect her not getting with a man but I still need her to like guys please!!!” Because you WILL get embarrassed and you WILL get your feelings hurt.

Yes. The answer is yes. In fact Isabela made the first move, Elsa was a bit shy in the beginning and became bolder as things continued. They wrote each other love letters—Elsa sprayed a bit of her perfume on the corners of each one. Isabela sent pressed flowers with hers—pink astilbe and camellia if they hadn't seen each other in a while. After a month everyone knew they had something even if they didn't.

Luisa and Dolores being the only straight grandchildren in the Madrigal family.

Isabela- Lesbian. She is single for many years, enjoying being herself before she finds a beautiful lady and is absolutely floored. They get married. They adopt a beautiful baby boy, who receives a gift when he comes of age despite no blood relations. A madrigal is a madrigal.

Dolores- obvious canon compliance. They do end up having 5 children on accident when it’s twins then triplets. It’s not what she originally wanted, but she can’t imagine life without them.

Luisa- finds a man about half her size. He’s scrawny, tiny. The size difference is muy bueno. She loves him and carries him around as a joke sometimes. They have a couple kids and her husband is the sweetest dad in the world. He may be weak physically, but he helps her shoulder every burden that comes their way.

Camilo- peak nonbinary child. Uses he/she/they pronouns, because when you can be anyone gender is just a scam. Pansexual and I’m a poly relationship. Casita doesn’t discriminate between the children he gives his wife versus the children his husband gives their wife, because as far as everyone is concerned, those babies are all Madrigals.

Mirabel- my aro ace queen. She is auntie supreme and thrives from it. She loves her family and they love her.

Antonio- him baby. Too young to make a true judgement, but whatever his identity/sexuality may be I wish him the best because I love him.

And Abuela can die mad about all of it. 🤷🏻

Why are people so mean about the Elsabela ship?

Everywhere I go whenever someone brings up Elsabela or makes Elsabela content people are always up in arms about it. Saying it’s stupid because it’s a crossover and the characters don’t know each other(as if that’s ever stopped anybody), saying that it’s implausible because Elsa lives in Arendelle, a fictional Scandinavian country, in the 1840s and Isabela lives in Colombia in the 1950s(both movies have magic, maybe one of the next gen kids gets the gift of time travel?), saying it’s stupid, cringe, dumb, and doesn’t even make any sense, saying that just because they both didn’t want to get married/don’t have boyfriends doesn’t mean they’re lesbians(okay...?), and just overall making fun of it and being rude about it.

I don’t even ship Elsabela(well, mostly...if I didn’t have Isabela x Monika I’d probably ship Elsabela tbh), but I do like it, it’s a really cute ship, but the hostile way people are acting towards it is just upsetting and unsettling. And I bet it has largely to do with lesbophobia because so many people are angry about it on the grounds that they’re “not lesbians”. Even though their sexualities aren’t confirmed and for all we know one or both could be headcanoned as bi, pan, omni, etc., and that’s just as valid as hcing them as lesbians. It’s just so gross. I even saw one person in a comment section under an Elsabela comic dub on YouTube post an entire story about Isabela being straight and pregnant with their male OC’s kids, how audacious can you get?!

You don’t have to like the ship but if your hatred for them stems from the fact that they are two women in a relationship/both headcanoned as lesbians then you can fuck right off and never interact with my blog again, because you’ve got some heavy internalized lesbophobia to deal with.

Bruno chuckles. "Your fiance's going to fall off the roof again." Julieta playfully rolls her eyes, "I'm not bringing him to the roof. Well, not casita's roof. Agustín's taking me out to stargaze with him."

"Ay, I'll make sure the weather's perfect for you two." Julieta smiles. "Don't worry about the weather, Pepa. You don't need to bottle up your feelings." Bruno puts his thumb up. "She's right, you know?"

"I'm going to make it rain because of you two, come here!" The triplets all hug each other, Pepa ruffling their hair.

I Just. i jsut think she'd look good in this No One speak to me.

Agustín gasps. "You look so... wow..." His glasses drop and he steps on it. Julieta reaches out to get it, but Agustín stops her. "It's okay, I brought another pair. Better safe than sorry, right?"

Julieta swiftly pulls him in for a kiss. "Right."

I like to think that the petals on the back of the dress are from isabela's own flowers! on the day that julieta's daughters gave her the dress, a bouquet featuring the flowers in the dress was also present.

I have an announcement to make… I made an Encanto OC.

Ximena Madrigal

WELL BUDDY, ITS MAKING ANYTHING INTO ANYTHING! (Aka, craftsmanship)

Well time for the family relationships!

Father: Bruno madrigal

Mother: -Unknown

Closest family members: Isabela, Dolores, Camilo, Luisa, Julieta, Antonio and mirabel

Age: 13

Backstory:

She was born to Bruno and his now ex and unknown wife, she was five when she got her gift and Bruno disappeared. 5 more years later and she would find out that Bruno is living in the walls through a talk with Dolores at breakfast, then she questioned if she was ever going to meet him again and show him her gift once more. (Spoiler alert: when they reunited, Ximena would CRY THE HECK OUT when she sees her father again)

If she was in the movie:

She’d definitely be quite the character, her personality is sassy but questions her existence from time to time.she is the professional at calming Pepa down by hugs and ONLY hugs.

She, like her father, likes rats, she named her rat “Queso”, lil rat Queso is still alive and healthy to this day.

She would also be seen as the second golden child by everyone except for abuela alma, whom sees her as another black sheep of the family just because she’s the daughter of Bruno, hence why Ximena shows nothing but pure unfiltered petty s p i t e towards Alma, which would probably make Mirabel more confused about Ximena.

Ximena also likes to draw on the walls on her room, hence why it’s nothing but a mess of drawings of the family.

She would get along with Camilo the most, they would always talk theories about the family such as Abuelo Pedro being the casita, Bruno, and mostly if Isabela has a girlfriend.

When it comes to getting along with Luisa… FERALD COUSINS. They’d help the town, and Ximena would just run around helping Luisa get the job done and done, she uses her gift of craftsmanship to help fix roofs a lot, which Luisa thinks is dangerous.

And Dolores? A WHOLE OTHER OMELETTE! These two would listen to Bruno’s rat telenovelas and cry at the romantic parts, especially Ximena.

Isabela… oh dear lesbian queen Isabela, these two would get along SO WELL, since both are seen as the golden children of the family, they get along the most. Ximena would definitely ask Isabela to plant a garden in her room. Ximena even dedicated a drawing to Isabela in her room <3

And when it comes to Julieta she doesn’t come to play games, she LOVES her food, she eats it GLADLY, she doesn’t know if her baking can heal too, but that is also for debate in the family.

She likes to talk with Antonio to communicate with Queso, her rat, Queso is always starving for food and attention, And Ximena will gladly give it.

Ximena and Mirabel… these two are frenemies, they DO help each other but Mirabel would always call out Ximena for her sassy attitude, and get into arguments, but most of the time Ximena ignores it.

Imma clarify now, THIS *ISNT* a self insert, just an oc, AND a minor, keep that in mind.
