I guess I'll just do my Jason Todd Lives AU Teen Titans Dream Team.

YES I know if Jason lived his team would likely just be Kon, Bart, Cassie, Greta and Cissie with little change in regards to lineup, he is only two years older than Tim - but let's for fun think of something else.

Klarion Bleak "Klarion The Witch Boy" The tone for this series I think would be.... It gets better. We all hurt, we all are scared for the future, what might be there, but it will get better. I also imagine seeing them going off-world a few times with Arisia taking them to face X conflict and them going to Gemworld etc.

Thoughts: Not a teen or sidekick team. Like Tom Taylor’s Suicide Squad and Superman: Son of Kal-El, I’d like to read about a group of young adults crossing borders and performing espionage with a dash of light freedom fighting along the way.

The Aerie and Wink have a lot of meta-human trafficking story beats worth exploring, and

I think Tim Drake is well suited for a globetrotting spy adventure. I’d like to see Tim and

Natasha Irons interact and geek out over superhero support tech. Naturally, Nat has a thing or two to teach Tim.

Isaiah Crockett and the rest of Teen Titans Vol. 2 have these unaddressed ties to extraterrestrial stories just waiting for weird exploitation.

Bart Allen deserves to grow up on his own terms.

And lastly, Tula Marius got the fridge treatment in the 80s, so I’d like for other readers to meet her outside of that context and outside of the Aquaman book. Maybe rework her key story beats in a way that doesn’t victimize her; similar to how Young Justice (tv series) has handled Terra and Oracle.

What would hotspot look like in the headverse?

I meant to do all the Jurgens Titans when I was working on Argent but I never landed on an Isaiah I liked. I’d probably skew towards the animated look since that’s the direction my sketches were headed, but maybe more yellow from one of his canon costumes.

Isaiah Marin, Oklahoma inmate 726373, born 1993, incarceration intake in 2015 at age 22, sentenced to life without parole

Murder

In September 2015, Isaiah Marin plead guilty to murder in the first degree for the October 30, 2014 killing of 19-year-old Jacob Crockett.

Marin was escorted in chains into the court room to begin proceedings in a competency trial to determine if he was mentally fit to stand trial.

On October 29, 2014 Stillwater Police dispatch received a call from Marin stating he has just killed someone. After police arrived to the scene of the crime, Crockett’s body was found with multiple stab wounds and his head nearly cut off.

Marin was found walking west on Highway 51 covered in blood with the murder weapon in hand. Marin’s defense lawyer started the proceedings by stating the defense had no problem with his competency evaluation made by the Oklahoma Forensic Center, located in Vinita Oklahoma, which found him mentally competent to stand trial. The defense waived the right for a jury trial and District Judge Phillip Corley accepted Marin’s competency on behalf of the court.

The defense then announced that a plea bargain had been struck with the district attorneys office and Marin was ready to plead guilty for the charge of first-degree murder. Marin then approached the bench to make his plea.

When asked by Corley if he was aware he was making a plea of guilty Marin responded yes. Corley then asked Marin to state what he was pleading guilty to. Marin stumbled through his response, whether due to nerves or remorse, “I...I took the life of Jacob Crockett intentionally by stabbing him to death.”

The court accepted Marin’s plea.

At this point Judge Corley called Marin to the stand and announced that the court has found him guilty of murder in the first degree. Marin was then sentenced to life in prison without the option of parole.

As part of the plea deal Marin will receive physiological treatment while incarcerated.

Corley then made his statement to Marin.

“This act that you did commit, you will remember every day in prison what you did to him until you no longer exist.”

Marin then waived his right to an appeal process.

Chapter 16: It

The blaring music grated against Gar’s ears, making him wince. He blinked his eyes open, trying to focus as the balcony floor gradually came into view.

“You okay, man?”

Gar scrunched his face a bit. He had heard that voice before but couldn’t place it.

Realizing he was leaning forward with his head in his hands, Gar slowly straightened and glanced toward the voice.

He blinked, confusion and disorientation washing over him.

Jaime Reyes was sitting next to him.

“You good?” Jaime asked, eyebrows knit with concern. “You drank a lot of absinthe.”

Gar scrunched his face again. He hadn’t had absinthe since…

His breath caught in his throat. Leaving Jaime’s question hanging unanswered, he looked around, taking in his surroundings.

It was night time and Gar was out on the balcony. In a semi-circle in front of him stood Wally, Roy, Vic, Jason, Garth, and Isaiah Crockett. Brow furrowed, he watched as they talked and laughed, a party raging around them.

Gar leaned forward again, moving to put his head back in his hands when he froze. He stared down at his outfit. Neon yellow pineapples with neon green leaves laid against a neon pink background, the pineapples themselves glowing in the dark.

His head swam as he swallowed the bile rising in his throat, his disorientation nauseating.

“I think he’s gonna barf,” he heard Wally say.

Gar’s mind raced, trying to make sense of the situation. This was all strangely familiar, like it had happened before. He looked up, making eye contact with Roy.

“Rae?” Gar croaked.

“Bathroom,” Roy said.

It suddenly came back to him. Raven had gone to the bathroom with Sarah, Kori, Donna, and Jinx. And he was hanging out on the balcony, waiting for her to come back.

“I… I need some water,” Gar rasped, slowly standing.

“Want me to get it?” Jaime asked.

Gar waved him off as he began shuffling toward the door to the common area. The music inside was louder, the pounding bass threatening to give him a headache. He waded through the mass of dancing bodies toward where he vaguely remembered the drink table had been set up.

The crowd parted, allowing him to stagger forward and lean against the table as he searched for a bottle of water. Instead, he spotted Raven, making his heart leap.

She was alone, standing near the kitchen with a drink in hand, her eyes scanning the room.

She was looking for him.

“Rae!” Gar called, but his voice was drowned out by the music. He sighed, pushing off the table and walking toward her.

Knitting her brows, she glanced at her phone, clearly wondering where he was.

“Sorry, Rae, Wally gave me some weird shit outside,” Gar said once he had reached her.

Raven didn’t react. She continued to scan the room, seemingly oblivious to Gar’s presence.

Gar waved a hand in front of her face. “Rae?”

Nothing.

He stepped directly in her line of sight, bending down so he could look at her. “Are you messing with me?”

A chill ran down his spine as she stared right through him. Reaching out a hand, he gently touched her face. She didn’t seem to register the physical contact, her amethyst eyes not focusing on him even though they stood almost toe-to-toe.

“What the fuck,” Gar breathed.
