Holdup, I thought that "Nightless" was just another localized term for Nightwalker. Are they actually two different sub-sets of vampires?

In older games, the term Nightwalker referred to the Japanese term "Ishu" or "Outsider" when translated (those who Walk in the Night/Darkstalkers in other words)… but Slayer has also referred to his own kind as "Exceptions" when he spoke with Dizzy on the subject.

Kyuuketsuki (the Japanese equivalent of a Vampire) is a little different as well, which is closer to the BlazBlue equivalent of a Vampire who has the traditional weaknesses a Vampire is known for.

However, Guilty Gear Strive is the first time the term "Nightless" has been used, which suggests it is a special case, particularly for Nagoriyuki.

It is also possible that Nagoriyuki's Master Kazusanosuke is ALSO a Nightless, but we don't have any confirmation on that info just yet…

Side Note: Some of the earliest known folklore history concerning Vampires refers to them by the Russian term "Upyri" which dates back as early as the date 1047 A.D.

I created this painting while in prayer as a devotion for Easter, to Ishu. As Assyrians, Ishu's disciples came to us (St. Jude Thaddeus, and Thomas the Disciple) Suriyeh and gave us prayers to keep within our native language churches because Jesus spoke ancient Aramic: our language. So everytime I pray in my mother tongue, I pray to Ishu directly from the disciples. I love you Ishu. I made this representation of how Jesus would look like modern day, in 2023. If Jesus came up to me while out in public, he would give me a hug and pray with me if he saw me or anyone else sad or mad or whatever it may be. But in a kind way. Jesus would go off for us in a heartbeat if people tried it on us. I thought of, while painting, how Jesus would be that one friend who tells you to do the right thing and would yell at anyone who says the right thing is the wrong thing. I thought about how my generation would treat Ishu, if he lived now. People didn't like Ishu back then, and they wouldn't like Ishu telling them that they are hurting others or themselves now. I think of that when I uphold his values, and how Assyrians have died in genocides upon genocides for keeping the prayers of Ishu from the disciples directly. We speak the same language as Jesus. And I contemplated how, I love Ishu so much, I am honored that we preserve you via our faith and love for you. I'm only here in the States because our faith for you saved us, you are so great to us, and you are our king forever. We uphold you in our hearts. I love you and have always given my life for you. All we face as Assyrians in crucifixion for our faith for you, is for you. And you have shown that you will always save us. Ishu is my entire lib-ah(heart), and I will always keep you full in the space of mine. Happy Easter to all, from your Assyrian Orthodox Assyrian. Godbless our king. Ishu is our king, and reason for continued life. Thank him today for all the ways he has saved you, and tell him you love him more than he loves you. For often, people don't match Ishu's love for them. Don't take it for granted. He loves you more than you could ever know. // oil.

shoutout to parent-ified eldest kids who never ever ever no matter what take out their pain or trauma or bitterness on their younger siblings (or alternatively actively teach themselves not to even if their relationship with their parents is absolutely broken and it hurts like hell to try because their sibling's isn't) and instead do everything to make sure they never have to go through the same thing or repress their feelings and always have a built-in best friend. and maybe develop a little bit of a mom complex along the way all while doing everything in their power not to become their parents. gotta be one of my favourite genders
