Past Of Aventura, FL
Tumblr media
A suburban city in the northeastern Miami-Dade County of Florida, United States of America, Aventura is 17 miles north of the city of Miami and is part of the Miami metropolitan area. The city is especially well known for the Aventura Mall, the fifth largest mall in the United States of America and the largest mall in Florida. Aventura gets its name from the Spanish word for "adventure." It was named after the developers of the original group of condos in the area.
Geography And Climate Of Aventura
The city of Aventura has an area of about 3.5 square miles, including 2.7 square miles of land and 0.8 square miles (23.08%) of water. Aventura has a tropical monsoon climate which means that it features hot and humid summers and short, warm winters. Aventura experiences its "wet season" during the summer, where the city sees the majority of its rain and is also typically hot and humid. This season typically lasts from May to September before giving way to the dry season, which features slightly milder temperatures and the occasional invasions of colder air. Little rain is experienced during the dry season. Additionally, the hurricane season coincides with the earlier wet season.
A typical summer day in Aventura does not see temperatures below 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 degrees Celsius) and temperatures are often in the high 80s-low 90s (30-35 Celsius.) These high temperatures are frequently relieved by afternoon thunderstorms as well as see breezes which develop off the Atlantic Ocean. These reliefs allow lower temperatures; however, conditions continue to remain very muggy. During winter, Aventura often experiences colder temperatures. The average minimum temperature during the winter is around 59 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees Celsius) and rarely dripping below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius)
Hurricane season begins on June 1st and is officially over on November 30th. In October 2005, Aventura was severely hit by Hurricane Wilma, and was continuously undergoing recovery as of November 2011. The library had been destroyed and has since been rebuilt.
During winter, humidity is significantly lower, allowing for cooler weather to develop. Average minimum temperatures during that time are around 59 °F (15 °C), rarely dipping below 40 °F (4 °C), and the equivalent maxima usually range between 65 and 75 °F (18 and 24 °C).
The Population Of Aventura
As of the 2020 census, Aventura's population was 40,242 including 18,035 households and 9,370 families residing in the city. The 2020 United States of America census suggested that the composition of Aventura is as follows: 49.45% of the population is White/Caucasian, 2.74% Black or African American, 0.05% Native American or Alaskan Native, 2.06% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.81% Some Other Race, Mixed/Multi-Racial 4.56%, Hispanic or Latino 40.32%.
Language And Culture Of Aventura
As of 2000, speakers of English as a First Language made up 59.92% of the population. Spanish accounted for 22.63% of the residents, Hebrew and Yiddish comprised 3.66% and 2.78% of the language, respectively. Other languages spoken include Portuguese (2.65%), French (2.40%), Russian (1.75%), and German (1.46%)
Aventura also had the seventeenth-highest percentage of Brazilian residents in the United States of America as of 2000, with 1.9% of the United States' populace, the thirteenth-highest percentage of Colombian residents in the United States, at 4.25% of the city's population.
Aventura also had the twelfth-highest number of Israelis in the US, at 2.4% of the city population. Aventura's Russian community had the twenty-fifth-highest percentage of residents, at 12.4%. The Economy Of Aventura The average income of an Aventura resident is $43,109 a year, and the median household income of $62,882 a year. Princess Catharina-Amalia: Dutch royal wears her mother's 'sentimental' tiara
Princess Catharina-Amalia: Dutch royal wears her mother’s ‘sentimental’ tiara
The tiara has made many appearances over the years, as Maxima also wore it to the wedding of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark in 2004. She wore it frequently during the early years of her marriage, according to The Court Jeweller, but in more recent years, she has only worn it once for a public outing: for a dinner during the 2013 Israeli state visit. Since her…

Isra Maxima | Microbiologist | 22 | part-time idiot
Self-proclaimed reckless fool, Isra’s main interests include pranking her best friend and doing the exact opposite of what everyone tells her. The physical of embodiment of ‘though she be little, she be fierce’, she finds great pleasure in proving people wrong. And there’ll be no greater pleasure than proving to everyone that aliens really are real. All she has to do is survive the journey across the stars, following a mysterious message from the depths of the galaxy. Piece of cake.
Scene snapshot:
“So, how’d you like my planet so far? Pretty nice, right?” The slightly shorter woman stretches her arms over her head and offers Isra a quick smile.
“It’s … warm. Very warm. I’m used to a colder environment, but it’s nice to feel the sun after all those days in space.” Isra adjusts her stance, half-turning to face Loleisa. “I’m feeling nosey about those two volcanic continents we passed over. Does anything live there?”
“Not that we know of. With a few exceptions, we don’t tend to visit those two continents. Those who do dare venture there either turn around or die. It’s not exactly safe to visit anywhere with even one active volcano. Let alone the hundreds that stretch across both continents.”
“Ah. Yeah, we humans actually have a tendency of seeking volcanoes out. Not while they’re erupting, I mean. But people like to visit them. Hell, we even swim in the hot springs nearby.” A memory of having a splash-fight with her first boyfriend in one washes over her and Isra smiles fondly. “Occasionally we do stupid things and go near when they’re about to erupt. There was an ancient volcano that once destroyed a whole city and left behind all these ashy casts of the people who died. But we’ve become a lot more sensible than then.”

For the very first time, Israel will compete in the field of show jumping at the Olympic Games after its four-person team finished on top in the qualifier earlier this week.
Team Israel competed against other countries in Group C at the Olympic Jumping Qualifier in Moscow’s Maxima Park, beating rivals from Poland, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The Moscow competition was the second qualifier for Group C; Ukraine won the top spot in Budapest a few days earlier.
Equestrian sport, which includes show jumping, dressage and eventing, made its first Olympic appearance at the 1912 Stockholm Games. It is the only Olympic sport to feature animals, and one of the few in which men and women compete as equals.
Israel’s show-jumping team for the Tokyo 2020 games is set to include Daniel Bluman, Ashlee Bond, Elad Yaniv and Danielle Waldman, together with horses Ladriano Z, Chela LS, Alvaro du Gue and Lizziemary. The team is coached by Jeroen Dubbeldam, who won a gold medal for his birth country, The Netherlands, in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Israel first participated in the Olympic Games in 1952. The upcoming delegation is set to include athletes who will compete in athletics, swimming, horse riding, sailing and shooting.

21/3/2018: King Abdullah II and Queen Rania attended the official lunch hosted by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in honour of Their Majesties and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Queen Maxima. (Source: Petra)
Following is the full text of His Majesty’s speech at the lunch banquet:
"In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Compassionate, Your Majesties, Prime Minister, Dear friends, Rania and I are truly delighted to be here in the Netherlands again. And, truly, on behalf of all of us, our tremendous thanks for the warm hospitality and the kindness that we’ve been shown since our arrival here. Mr Prime Minister, over the past few years, you and I have worked together on some truly challenging issues global security, climate change, the refugee crisis. Our countries cooperate closely in the fight against global terror, and stand together in the international coalition against Daesh, or ISIS. We are also partners in bilateral and multilateral programmes, private-sector initiatives, and academic exchanges. And Jordan deeply, deeply appreciates being among the new partner countries that are designated a focus of Dutch development cooperation. As you have recognised, today’s situation demands a new sense of urgency. We in Jordan have 1.3 million Syrian refugees, and they have put a huge burden on our people and economy. Creative solutions are essential to give our young people the tools and opportunities they need to build secure futures, and also help refugees, especially youth, prepare to return home with the skills and civic values needed to rebuild their countries. This is the heart of Jordan’s world-recognised refugee response plan. In the days ahead, we hope to work closely with you and your government to move forward with sustainable, inclusive development, maximise the use of our scarce resources, and take advantage of Jordan’s abundant strengths, including our talented, aspiring people. We welcome Dutch trade, investment, and innovation, particularly in areas like alternative energy, ICT, education and the environment. These are priorities for us, not only because they have major potential, but because they contribute to strength across our economy. One especially important focus is, as you have mentioned Sir, the vital food-water-energy nexus. Jordan is the second water-poorest country in the world. And indeed, the water situation in our two countries could not be more different. But I say that no two countries better understand the profound impact of water management on humanity’s future. So I think there are some very fruitful areas for our combined knowledge. Security cooperation is obviously another area of enormous shared interest and concern. And I have strongly advocated a holistic, comprehensive approach, one that addresses the threat, while also fighting the war of ideas through inclusion and moderation, giving all people especially young people a stake in a future of peace and mutual respect. These are values the Dutch have championed for so long. Finally, let me say a word about crisis resolution. It is vital to push forward on the Geneva process, to help the parties in Syria reach an inclusive political settlement. But we also cannot lose sight of the region’s central crisis the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, or the growing and global concern for the safety of Jerusalem. We need to protect the holy city and get the peace process back on track. As a respected leader of diplomacy and peace, the Netherlands can play an important role. My friends, I’ve outlined only a few areas of mutual interest. There are many more opportunities to fulfil the goals that Jordan and the Netherlands share. I welcome your ideas, and I look forward to expanding our partnerships, in creative new ways, in the days ahead."

batman has a first aid kit so well stocked it would make an EMT jealous.
he has bandages of every shape and size for a myriad of purposes: butterfly bandages, adhesive and elastic bandages, sterile gauze, eye pads, israeli bandages, etc.
you know what bruce finds himself to be short on?
your every day bandaid found in every medicine cabinet from Wayne Manor through the Diamond District and down to the ramshackle apartments in the Narrows.
after a shaving cut he ends up grumpily digging through his elite, fully stocked first aid kit to no avail; splints and calamine lotion and multi-color pain killer pills  end up strewn every which way.
robin!dick comes bouncing up and wipes that cut down with a quick swab then slaps a bandaid onto bruce’s profusely bleeding chin, surveys bruce seriously for a moment and gravely pronounces him “all better.”
bruce glances at himself in the mirror across the room, the bright red and blue colors of a superman bandaid visible even from a distance.
“thank you, dick” bruce says, equally grave, and only the tiniest bit pained.
dick gives bruce a mega-watt grin and bounces off.
thoughts about superman bandaids and overenthusiastic wards fly out of his head as his league communicator chirps and in a blur of movement he’s into the batsuit and ready for transport in the cave in an impressive sub-10 minute timeframe.
batman throws over his shoulder a reminder to dick to complete his algebra homework as he’s beamed up to the watchtower.
“finally...you’re here, bats,” the flash says upon his arrival. “whoa, what’sthatonyourface.” flash exclaims in a barely incomprehensible string of words.
bruce resists the urge for his hand to fly up to his face and the superman bandaid he knows is prominently displayed on his chin.
instead, he holds the flash’s gaze and tells him, matter-of-fact “it’s a bandaid,” in a voice that’s dry as dust, with just the tiniest hint of “obviously-it’s-a bandaid-you-unobservant-jabbering-speedball-with-an-unfortunate-motor-mouth” in his voice.
“oooookay then.” flash says, holding his hands up.
“well, anyway, we’ve got maxima who’s amassing an army off the coast of south america. apparently, she has plans to take advantage of venezuela’s political instability to set up her own rule.”
here flash paused to shrug, “I mean, you’d have thought she’d have got the message that tyrannical government is not the way to big blue’s heart, but i’m no expert on the villainous female mind.”
great. a superman villain. just what bruce needed.
batman’s contemplating slowly ripping off the bandaid now, but then the rest of the league starts filing into the room and he knows the moment for action has passed.
during the briefing, wonder woman and green arrow shoot him sly sidelong glances and green lantern can’t refrain from making asinine comments.
superman’s face remains impressively business-like if not for the fact that his eyes were twinkling in a way that bruce had formerly ascribed to a literary convention that portrayed amusement, and NOT something that actually occurred on a real-life person’s face.
in the back of his mind, after considerations of their battle formation and plan of attack, he’s idly trying to determine if the twinkling is an alien thing or a farmboy thing.
once they’ve deployed, and after they’ve soundly rounded up and defeated up maxima’s army, superman floats by with a struggling, tied up maxima who’s no doubt spewing some impressive invectives in her native tongue.
“so...do you mind if I ask?” superman says, waving a hand at his own chin, his unobtrusive manner fooling absolutely nobody.
“robin” bruce grunts.
superman’s lips twitch faster than human eyes than catch and batman glares at him suspiciously.
“understood,” superman says levelly as he nods at batman and begins flying toward the league holding cells. he just barely manages to refrain from bursting into laughter.

What a wonderful interview with Willem-Alexander for his 50th birthday!
Some things we learned(I am not a translator so not everything is perfect but I did my best) -where they currently live the downstairs is for work and the family lives upstairs, in the residence thats currently being built it will be the other way around -in the downstairs library there is a bronze statue of him as a toddler, made by his mum. There is also a small bronze statue of his mum by her sculpting teacher, a typical stance where she is pushing her hair back by using her sleeve because her hands are covered in wax -he started to realise that something was different when he was about 3-5 -the other children at school weren't really impressed, their parents were -he didn't watch tv till about 12 and then he bingewatched. Maxima had a similar upbringing. To avoid kids finding out he would quiz some kids about last nights tv before the break at school so he could join in the conversation after the break -when the family moved to the Hague he got made fun of because of his accent, he then started studying characters from a dutch tv show until he could imitate their accent properly and fit in at school -with three boys only 2.5 years apart there was a lot of discussion and he learned to be very ad rem -it was hard for him going through puberty, he wanted to rebel and said that as a boy he wanted to rebel against his father but because Prince Claus was going through a heavy depression at the time their was nothing to rebel against, nothing to bounce back his comments. His mum was a new queen at that time. -he therefore wanted to finish his secondary school abroad which he says shaped him -he also very much values his military years and said without the discipline&experience he gained there university would have been very different -he thinks its healthy to have had doubts about his role, because if you peel back the layers of why you don't want to do it makes you realise why you do(its a good foundation) -he encourages Amalia to do the same, he also urges her to make mistakes, preferably out of the public eye, and learn -his protection officers never told on him to his parents, and he encourages his daughters protection officers to do the same. As long as they are safe he does not care and feels they need the freedom -he met Nelson Mandela when he popped round to his granddads to say hello and MrMandela was there. Nelson Mandela also invited himself to W-A&Maxima's wedding, was told three weeks before by staff that they had cancelled it because he had to do something else and Mandela was like 'that can be the next weekend, I'm going to my friends wedding' and so three weeks before it was fully arranged -the princesses got a mobile when they were ten, each a hand me down. The plan is not during holidays and at in the evening but that doesn't always happen -when asked to be a member of the International Olympic Committee he was sure his father, who was a German and wanted to do nothing to do with the olympics because he felt bad that the Germans failed to protect the Israeli team in 72, would say no but Prince Claus actually encouraged him to take the role -Prince Claus felt guilty about the Holocaust till the day he died. He wasn't involved but felt that he as a German was partly responsible. He also didn't want people to compare the Holocaust to things like Pol Pot -in just a couple of years they went from being a family of five to losing their father, all three sons married and 3 grandchildren -Though brother Friso live away in London and shunned the public Dutch life, he could be a harsh but honest critic, something Alexander did not realise he missed until it was gone -he didn't feel it was hard to mourn in public after the death of Friso, but felt the public support gave him a lot of strength -it was hard to see how it affected his mother, and he realised he had been reckless himself(driving too fast for instance) -after the MH17 plane was shot down the families and loved ones of those who died felt he knew what they were going through because he'd lost his brother the year before. -when there was a ceremony when the first plane with remains arrived the dignitaries where seated in one place and the families were seated to the side, he felt that there was a difference just days before they were together, so he and Maxima decided to bow to them -Maxima means everything to him, they've only been together for 18 years and he hopes for many more. He can ask her opinion, she can be critical, but also very caring and forgiving when he's having a bit of a sulk sometimes. It gives him great happiness that she wants to share her life with him

New Post has been published on https://brandbaskets.in/luke-cage-glow-the-avengers-and-more-on-netflix-in-june-2018/
Luke Cage, GLOW, The Avengers, and More on Netflix in June 2018
The return of Marvel’s only show with a black hero in the lead – Luke Cage – is one of the big original names on Netflix in June, alongside a series finale for the Wachowskis’ Sense8 earlier in the month, and a second season of GLOW, starring Alison Brie (Community), on June 29. A lot more Disney films are headed to Netflix in June too, from the house of Marvel and Pixar: The Avengers, Toy Story trilogy, Ratatouille, and Up are among them.
Elsewhere, the Korean game show Busted! returns for its season finale on June 1, followed by the second season of British detective drama Marcella on June 8. The Ashton Kutcher-starrer The Ranch gets a fifth part on June 15, and the month ends with British teen VR thriller Kiss Me First and the second season of Spanish sitcom Paquita Salas.
On the film side of things, there’s rom-com Alex Strangelove on June 8; an Indian anthology film called Lust Stories from four different directors, Israeli crime comedy Maktub, office rom-com Set It Up, and Spanish drama Sunday’s Illness on June 15; and based-on-a-nonfiction-book Brain on Fire starring Chloë Grace Moretz on June 22.
That brings us to documentaries. There’s the docu-series November 13: Attack on Paris on June 1 from the same folks who made the Emmy-winning “9/11”, and a true crime docu-series called The Staircase on June 8. Meanwhile, Australian comic Hannah Gadsby will release her comedy special on June 19, and food show Nailed It! returns for season 2 on June 29.
With that, here are our four picks for June 2018 that you should watch out for, and the full list of movies and TV shows coming to Netflix India after that.
Marvel’s Luke Cage / June 22 Harlem’s bulletproof hero (Mike Colter) has much to prove in his second year, after a first season delivered polar-opposite halves: a strong, compelling first followed by a baffling, middling second. It also had the familiar problem of the Marvel-Netflix bloat, stretching storylines longer than necessary. With new characters played by Mustafa Shakir and Gabrielle Denis, and a guest appearance from Iron Fist (Finn Jones), hopefully it can punch through this time.
youtube
GLOW / June 29 After a critically-acclaimed debut season, expectations are high for the return of GLOW – the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling – as it continues its fictionalised story of the women’s wrestling promotion that ran in the 1980s, following a bunch of struggling actors training as wrestlers to make a campy TV show that will draw eyeballs to the over-the-top sport. Starring Alison Brie (Community), Betty Gilpin (Nurse Jackie), and comedian-podcaster Marc Maron.
youtube
The Avengers / June 8 Avengers: Infinity War has broken several records since its release in April, but if you’ve yet to bite into the craze, here’s the perfect way to get into it. The Avengers, released in 2012, is where it first all began for Marvel, bringing together a bunch of superheroes – Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk included – to put a stop to the mischievous schemes of Loki. For cinematic worlds, it was ground-breaking then but it now seems like amateur hour considering Infinity War had over two dozen characters.
All Marvel Movies Ranked, From Worst to Best
youtube
A bunch of Pixar movies / June 8-20 Ever since the end of Hotstar’s exclusivity with Disney, Pixar films have been slowly cropping on Netflix. June brings more of them, and it was too tough to pick one since they’re all equally good. Your choices include the Toy Story trilogy on June 8, following the adventures of anthropomorphic toys who pretend to be lifeless around humans, alongside the wonderful Up; a family of undercover superheroes in The Incredibles on June 16, with a sequel due soon; and the story of a rat who longs to be a chef in Ratatouille on June 20.

Hello again! I decided it was about time that I did a new, more polished wip introduction post. A re-introduction as it were. My last was, admittedly, bland and uninspiring. At least in visual design. I’ve been trying to get a little fancier with blog headers and such. So here goes nothing!!!
Tumblr media
Title: One small step
Status: Partway through draft 3.
Characters: Isra Maxima, Cassie Barone, Finn Costen, Avery Stark, Ollie Bridger, and Val Galen. Plus a whole host of aliens!
Themes: Exploration, War, Friendship, LGBTQA+ relationships, Found Family, Aliens, Space, Romance, Love, Corruption, Politics (More to be added)
Genres: Young/New adult, science fiction
Summary:  When a message comes from the stars to invite humanity to a summit of the United Galactic Senate in a garbled mishmash of human languages,  it's suspected to be a joke. Even so, a band of six plucky and definitely crazy explorers are sent off into the great unknown to find out just what waits at the other end of the message. Things don't go as expected. Between the endless amount of secrets lurking in the shadows and sinister plots around every corner, surviving to the next day becomes that much harder. Every step leads to trouble of every kind. The universe just got a whole lot bigger and a lot more dangerous; humanity has to find its place, one small step after the other.
Extract: Valesk itself is a very different planet. The two habitable continents are dry and dusty for the most part, stretching out like massive sandy beaches among the bright blue ocean, dotted with tiny green patches that form a polka-dot pattern of forests, grasslands, and jungles among the savannahs. Tiny islands glimmer like jewels laid on a shimmering blue blanket. The other two continents are black and molten, rolling with clouds of ash and streams of hot lava from the rings of volcanoes form towering mountain ranges that spew pumice and sulphur. Even as they fly thousands of metres above the volcanoes, flakes of ash form a thin layer over the many small windows of the shuttle. It’s beautiful in its’ own way.

Title: The coming of the Queen
Status: Mostly just planning and the beginnings of an idea. Not much written for this yet, but I might focus on this one when I finish the first draft of One Small Step.
Characters: Iona - illegal fae challenger for the throne. Iona’s mother. Literally no other characters yet!
Themes: Rebellion, Revenge, LGBTQA+ relationships, War, Corruption, Fantasy, Loss of home, Royalty, Retaking a kingdom, Magic, Good vs. Evil, (more to be added)
Genres: Young/new adult, fantasy
Summary:  Deep in the snowy mountains of Corenulla, lies the kingdom of Fallrona. Here any young adult may enter a series of challenges to earn the ultimate prize of ruling the kingdom for 25 years. But, for the past 300 years, the tyrannical Seonerars have ruled with an iron fist. Any threat to their power gets dealt with brutally and efficiently. Twelve years ago, they succeeded in destroying the last fae stronghold in Fallrona. But now the Seonerars’ actions are finally going back to haunt them. Iona is a young fae woman with only one goal in mind: revenge. She’ll stop at nothing to restore her people’s pride and remove the Seonerars from the equation. Permanently.
Extract: Being killed would be a fair better fate than many of the fae have received; Iona’s own grandmother was taken to be drained of her blood in the misguided belief that drinking fae blood ensues longevity. All it ensues is the wrath of the butchered fae’s family, much like Iona has sworn vengeance on the family that stole away her grandmother. She’ll have their heads for it.
There’s just one small problem. The humans in question are the current rulers of the kingdom and despite the tradition of a new ruler every twenty years – the winner of the challenge – they have been ruling for almost three hundred years. But this year, the throne will be hers. Any young adult can enter the challenges and Iona, despite her fae blood, is also a member of the kingdom. She might just a scrappy young woman from a backwater village, but she’s also fae. She can do this. She has to. Her people are counting on her.

Title: Treasure across the sea
Status: Mostly planning. Some chapters written through the power of pantsing.
Characters: Princess Orla Niamh Foy (Quarter-siren, quarter-fae, 100% better than you), Captain Sam (pirate scourge of the West Islands and the Ruby Sea), Lia Basker, Princess Tempest Storm-wielder,  Count Aleksandr III,  Lady Malia, Crown Scion Cameron.
Themes: Piracy, Adventure, Royalty, Myths, Legends, LGBTQA+ relationships, Survival, Ancient evil, Magic, Fate, Power, Ancient maps, (more to be added)
Genres: Young/new adult, fantasy, adventure
Summary:  Orla is everything a princess shouldn’t be: impulsive, reckless, and too adventurous for her own good. With both siren and fae blood within her, she’s always been called to the wide sea and sprawling forests of her home country. Her life is simple and it’s hers. But when an old friend comes knocking, Orla is swept into events far stranger than she’s ever had to deal with before. Could this be the adventure that breaks her? Or will she come out of it stronger than ever before?
Extract: It hits Orla then: everyone here is related to the original seven royal families that stood against the last Shadow King and sealed his treasure away. Their blood has power. The seven of them are links to the distant past, bridging the gap between history and things yet to be. This cannot be a coincidence. Perhaps the blood of the originals is needed to access where the Shadow King’s treasure is. Sam gathered them together for a reason, and it’s not for their pretty faces or special talents. No, this is about the blood in their veins. How curious.

Title: Spes super sydera
Status: 22 chapters in and I’ve just won NaNoWriMo 2023 with this. Nearly 50000 words added to it (a few of my NaNo words were from One Small Step and The Adventures of Lara and Theo but less than 2k because I ended up only focusing on the one thing after all.)
Characters: Most of them only have first names at the moment but a few have last times too: Eloise Martins, Imogen Van Arkel, Benedict, Dom, Charlie, Rebecca, Maria, Mirabella, Mavis, Jimmy,  Aamir Kumar, Nadiya Awad, and a host of other side characters.
Themes: Sci-fi, space, space travel, conspiracies, mystery, strange disappearances, desire to uncover hidden truths, LGBTQA+ characters, (more to be added)
Genres: Sci-fi, adventure
Summary:  Eloise Martins wants to be an astronaut. There are several reasons for this but one of these reasons is that her dad went missing on a deep-space mission and no one will tell her anything about it. She wants the truth. She needs it.
So she does what any sensible person would do: pushes herself to be the most exceptional candidate she can and signs up for astronaut program at her dad’s place of work. While studying to qualify as a pilot and an engineer, she hunts down any information to do with her dad and that final mission. Eloise will stop at nothing to achieve justice for her dad and all the missing astronauts and maybe, just maybe, bring them all home--dead or alive.
Extract: On the mind-numbingly grey wall across from her, a retro clock ticks and tocks loud enough to wake the dead. It’s a strange thing to have these days. Most people have holo-clocks and even physical digital clocks are going increasingly out of fashion; an analogue clock is a bizarre thing to use in a building as advanced as this. Even if it is a waiting room. The International Centre for Aerospace Engineering and Exploration is nothing short of a technological marvel, filled to the brim with the latest and greatest inventions, oozing with innovation, and the workplace of many of the greatest minds humanity has ever seen.
If you can think of it, ICAEE probably has it. For some reason, that includes old-fashioned clocks as well as the fastest planes and spaceships ever created.
The waiting is no doubt part of the test process. Eloise knows that. Her father told her as much and after years of listening to his and his colleagues’ exploits both at ICAEE’s academy and on interstellar missions, she’s almost more familiar with the ICAEE qualification process than the examiners themselves. Almost. Some things have changed since her father’s day and the tolerance of purple hair seems to be one of them. No one has ever commented on the colour. The legacy of her father may have something to do with that; the speed and excellence with which Eloise has ploughed through the astronaut program might be the other reason. If she’s right, then she has qualified in record time. The examiners, waiting through a set of dull grey doors at the left-hand side of the room, will assess her one last time before declaring their judgment. But Eloise is certain. She will be an astronaut before the day is up.
If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read all of the above! Hopefully these make for a much more aesthetically-pleasing and more informative overview of my current wips!

Burn - Original fiction written for fictober
The last leaf of Autumn -  Ella is mourning her lost love. But she’s made a promise; a promise that she’ll be ready to move on when the last leaf of autumn falls from their tree. The last leaf is about to fall but Ella’s not ready to let go. Not yet.
The library -  The library is dangerous. That’s what everyone whispers in the streets, in their homes, and in their hearts. It’s dangerous to stay in there for too long, and it’s even more dangerous to enter alone. But she doesn’t care about any of that. Because the library holds books, and that’s far more intriguing than any rumours of danger.
Escape -  There’s a sword thumping against Eve’s back, hastily strapped on in her panic. Thump, thump, thump. It smacks into her spine as she runs. Running is the only thing she can think about right now. She’s got one goal tonight: escape.
We are burning - A short poem written on the subject of Anakin and Obi-Wan’s duel on Mustafar.
Night time in the garden -  The journey across the lawn is long and dangerous. Every night, I make the journey in search of food. I climb out of my safe nest only at night, safe from the large creatures that the roam this so-called ‘garden’.

My main blog is @just-a-coincidence. All likes and follows will come from this blog.
Here is my AO3 and my ff.net accounts. I’m not a big writer of fanfiction, but I do post the occasional piece. My early ff.net stuff is, admittedly, terrible. I haven’t the heart to get rid of those early pieces though.
Link to my writeblr introduction post here. (This is the original one, I shall likely most a fresh one later at some point)
