FF7 Fellas and Their Pokémon Pals:

Cloud - Immediate thought was Altaria for its floofy fluffy cloud wings, but I gotta go with Sandslash for being yellow, spiky, and wielding blade claws. Uhhhh, can also learn Amnesia through TM?? (Idk hardest by far. Not the bessst start xD)

Tifa - Mienshao for sure! Feminine martial artist thingy that doesn’t need any fancy weapons to save the planet!

Barret - Magmortar no doubt! Literally what other Pokémon has a cannon for an arm xD

Aerith - Shaymin for being flower-centric and a mythical! Can’t be the last remaining person of a species and not be considered one of a kind!

Nanaki - You’re already a magical animal; go stand behind the rope plz. Ty! <3

Yuffie - Greninja for what its name implies! (Fudge why doesn’t it learn Theif??!!)

Vincent - Okay, maybe Vincent doesn’t get hangry per se, but Morpeko does have vicious demons inside that it needs to control!

Sephiroth - Mewtwo ofc!!! Literal soulmates. Lab experiments that are the sole cause of fire-related massacres??? Both got psychic things going on?? Both hate humanity with a burning pass- nope, not making that joke. Anyways gimme a Kool Aid man oh yeah!!!

Genesis - Oricorio for its performance elements!!! (I couldn’t think of a straight up thespian Pokémon, so this is my best shot xD). Thing’s also got wings, so y’know, birds of a feather! <3 *dodges chair*

Angeal - Dewott for being christened the “discipline Pokémon”. This guy’s gonna be cross-armed while Papa Angeal shakes his head at his buddies for trashing yet another training room.

Zack - Growlithe!!! Give him the pupper now!!! Pupper NOW!!!

Jenova - Ewie ew. You don’t need anything! >:3 But I’ll give you a Nihilego for being an extraterrestrial ultra beast and brainwashing the cracked mind of Lusamine (Lillie’s mumsy) into devoting her entire life to you, annnndd eventually fusing your jellyfish body with the woman (whoah wait why are there so many similarities my lawd xD xD)

I, a hearing person who likes subtitles just as a preference, shouldn't have to read a subtitle that's obvious nonsense, go back a couple seconds, and listen again in order to figure out what's going on. An accessibility feature should not be the most half-assed part of a professionally made production. Scripted media has absolutely no excuse for not having subtitles or having subtitles that aren't perfectly verbatim. Professional captioning services should be ashamed of the shoddy work that they put out. Captions should be treated as a part of the production, just like filming, editing, audio balancing, etc - and anything that releases with missing or bad captions should be seen as unfinished

#the subtitle mistakes i've seen are absolutely fucking embarrassing #subtitles should make something easier to understand not harder #and i can hear just fine so i'm lucky! #i've seen the kind of mistakes that would make an entire video unintelligible to someone who doesn't have the audio for any reason #it's unacceptable

that's great buddy but don't go around thinking you're immune to this. if you're not looking for plagiarism, you likely won't notice it unless its egregiously obvious. hell, you've probably consumed plagiarized content without even realizing it. even hbomb pointed out that these people disguised what they presented pretty well as long as you didn't try and dig deeper. don't come away just thinking of this as a callout piece, take this as an important lesson about vetting your sources. if googling scripts in quotes was enough to expose the original, we should all start doing that shit!!

noticed a dip in posts about palestine on my dash, so i think it deserves to be said again: palestine is not a trend. caring about genocide is not a trend. there are still reports about humanitarian aid trucks intentionally blocked off from gaza, meaning so many fucking gazans, a big portion of them children, are just bleeding out with no help. it just came out recently that israelis disguised as women and medics infiltrated a west bank hospital, at which point they killed 3 palestinians (whom they claim were militants. right). these people are living day to day without even the most basic utilities. anyone who claims to have “activism fatigue” needs to question why they’re so severely lacking in the most basic forms of compassion. you don’t get to just grow bored of talking about palestine. please never stop calling attention to the genocide happening full force in front of us.

Thinking about the time I lost a game of Overwatch and I was so mad about it that I genuinely considered getting into shit with the other team in chat and then realized that it was a colossal waste of my living breathing Human Time and uninstalled Overwatch instead because it was only making me angry.

And then thought about the OTHER time when I was on TikTok and realized I was Not Enjoying Myself and was, in fact, seeing so many sad videos and fake influencer ads that I felt Truly Despondent and then just…Deleted it.

Imo I want my social media /general media experience to be a pleasant break from real world and I get to decide what I get to cull to make that a reality for myself. I highly reccomended it! Life has improved considerably!

Are you a student who is unable to donate to Palestine, but still want ways to show your support?

Me too! Unfortunately, searching up ways for students who can't drive, spend money, or drop school for a week to show solidarity for Palestine just comes up with "centrist" (if not blatantly pro-israel) articles for teachers telling them how to stay neutral during discussions with students. So! Here are some ways that I've thought of to bring pro palestine sentiment into your school and community! You are more than encouraged to add on any ideas of your own!

Wear shirts, pins, or anything outwardly pro palestine. If you can't find something, make it.

Email your representatives. Email Congress. Email the White House, or whatever your country's equivalent would be. Let the people in charge know you want a ceasefire

Talk to your local library about holding an educational night about the genocide, and/or about Palestinian culture.

Talk to your peers. Find people who share your views. Create a fuss together.

Talk to your teachers about it. Having an authority figure on your side could make things so much easier for you.

Make stickers, posters, pamphlets, etc to put up around your school, town/city, anywhere you can.

Educate yourself on anti-palestine talking points and how to refute them in a calm and logical manner. (Palestinian Toolkit is a great website for that)

Speak up! It's fucking scary, but if you can, don't let people's bigotry go unchecked. (You can use knowledge from the last point to make it easier to talk)

But also, know when to give up. It sucks, but not everyone is worth wasting your time debating. Some people won't change their mind no matter what.
